"Routing Node"? What is this? Bitcoin nodes are not Onion Nodes; that is a term I haven't seen someone us to describe nodes.
That is what I got from Mastering Bitcoin - chapter 6 (A. Antonopoulos) All nodes include the routing function to participate in the network and might include other functionality. All nodes validate and propagate transactions and blocks, and discover and maintain connections to peers. In the full-node example in Figure 6-1, the routing function is indicated by an orange circle named “Network Routing Node.”

There are two types of bitcoin nodes: Full nodes and Prune nodes. - What are Full nodes & Prune nodes?
- Which types of Pros and Cons of each node type?
- Which node type you should use?
- Which technical parameters you should know to make your decisions?
Now, let's get started with Full node Full node- Fully have four functions of bitcoin nodes: routing, blockchain database, mining, and wallet services [1]
- Stores the whole blockchain database so it requires significant large storage space (up to 284 GB * as of writing).
- Help to secure network with your full node.
- You don't have to resync your wallet when import any other wallet.dat files if you has already synced your wallet with the network (with your initial wallet.dat file). Because when you client fully synced with network, you already have a full copy of the bitcoin blockchain.
284 GB *- This figure requires by Bitcoin client when you install it today.
- The real blockchain size for today is 255522 MB, according to [3]
Prune nodePros:- Required about 5 GB by default (a little it more than 5 GB). [a]
- You don't have store all blockchain database on your computer
- You can run a prune node to get experience and pratice with Bitcoin core without significant pressure on your computer storage space.
[a]: In reality, you will prepare at least a little more than 5GB for your prune node with a minimum storage value for blocks (at 2 GB). They are included by: - Chainstate: 3.5 GB
- Blocks: 2 GB
- Initial setup: 52.1 MB (see the below image)
Fortunately, you can set up storage space for your prune node, up to 99 GB (tested by minefarmbuy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5046359.msg46959793#msg46959793) How to set up storage space? 1. Bitcoin.confSet up prune=X in your bitcoin.conf file. Remember that X is the storage amount in MB, so if you want your prune node stores up to last 99 GB of the network, you have to type : prune=99000. 2. Wallet optionsYou can more easily do it with Options > Main > Prune block storage to 99 GB. Then you will see the red-message: "Client restart required to activate changes." Cons:- You don't have a full blockchain database on your computer.
- You have to resync your wallet with blockchain if you import a wallet.dat file that contains data synchronised outside the data stored in your prune node. This is very annoying, IMO.

- Using Full node if you want to use Bitcoin Core wallet; and you have to prepare enough additional free storage for likely increases of data base next one or two years (about 50 GB annually - maybe more than 50 GB because it also depends upon how much data comes from Segwit). See the chart above.
- Avoiding Prune node if you can buy a hard-disk up to 500 GB or 1 TB.
- If you actually want to run a prune node, the best option for you is set up the storage space to 99 GB *. That amount of 99 GB is enough for you to retrieve data up to nearly the last two years. Generally, the network increases about 50 GB annually since 2015q4. You can make estimation of blockchain size next one or two years based on the average blockchain size [4], but I don't think you should make things complicated like that.
- If you can not buy a good harddisk to run Bitcoin Core Full node, that requires less than 300 GB for now, let's turn to choose the other wallets. I recommend the Electrum wallet (Simplified Payment Verification - SPV). SPV wallets are light and don't require too much free storage space to run them on your computer.

- Median (interquartile range) of weekly earned merits for all 100 top merited profiles is 8 (2 - 18). It means they usually earn around 1 merit per day.
- Median (interquartile range) of weekly earned merits for the group of 1-25 is 13 (4 - 28), that is significantly higher than the figures of last 3 groups: 26-50 ( 8 ), 51-75 (7), and 76-100 (7).
- Min - max: 0 and 501, respectively.
- Period: 2019w23 - 2019w51
- Weekly earned merits: are not exactly weekly in Calendar day; and come from theymos' merit data dumps and LoyceV's data update. See
- All users in the top 100: 8 merits per week, with interquartile range is 2 to 18. It means if someone can manage to earn more than 8 merits per week, over continuous months, they might move to the top months later.

I only observed the statistics from 3 rd to 5 th within the last five weeks. Therefore, at the moment, I only give you plot for three statistics: sent/ earned at least 1 merit, and legit users. Plot:If you noticed, there are noticeable increases in nsent & nreceived in 21sep2018 (as effects of enhanced merit system) ** One year anniversary of enhanced merit system. The spike actually occured on 16sep2018, instead of 21sep2018.

Then isn't it better to join signature campaigns after developing the habit of making quality post. Mods will do their work to keep this forum better for its users. If they fear to make big number of post due to having chances of being deleted by mods then campaign slots isn't for them.
It is responsibility of managers to choose good participants among so many applicants. If you choose good applicants, their post quality does no long an issue but this time their posting intensities will be likely issues. Participants who do not satisfy post quota of campaigns are not the ones who make shitposts. It is not always the case like that. In my previous post, I forgot to mention some others reasons: - Lack of time in specific weeks: Maybe they are busy with their works in their companies or with unexpected house chores; then they can not meet post quota in one or two weeks (or longer).
- Holidays, vacations, etc.: For example, currently we have been in holidays in most of nations globally, so if you see some of your participants don't make a single post within this period, it is somewhat understandable.
For 'lazy' participants, I recommend they should make extra posts (one to three) each week in order to make sure that if one to three posts deleted by any reasons, they will still be qualified to receive payments. Don't be overlazy. |

My question is:
Do they only post for fulfill the minimum post requirements or post count?
Yes and No. Yes: for the most of participants who usually or always make posts to satisfy post quota each week of campaign they join. If the campaign they join ask for 25 posts per week. They usually / always make exactly 25 posts each week, and they don't care about the risks of posts deleted by moderators or threads in which they post trashed by moderators. Consequently, they usually pop up to complain: "Oh, manager, why I did not receive payments for the last week. Please give me a payment and I will make one more post next week as my compensation for lack of posts this week". Those ones don't care to make one or two more posts each week, because with them 25 posts is exactly their self-limits. No: for participants who make posts when they see some discussions they can join and help the others. Those ones, they don't care about post quota. I meant, they of course satisfy post quota (25 posts per week, ie.) but after reaching 25 posts in one week, they will do keep posting if there are situations they can join and help. They don't stop posting after reaching post quota. For example: I make 40 to 50 posts each week, but the campaign I joined (PlayBetr) only requires 25 posts per week. Do I get more payments (double) when I make 40 to 50 posts weekly? No, but I am going to keep posting, it is my habit and I feel happy with that. |

If the forum vanishes someday, my wife will feel happy for sure. Because I will spend less time on the internet, on the forum, and on the statistical analyses. She does not understand what I do so from her perspective, she can not understand why I can keep doing such boring things from weeks to weeks. I guess Theymos is feeling generous lately?  Nowadays, there is no odds to see new donators (with 10 BTC donated), not mention about VIP (with 50 BTCdonated). The last donator is Claymore in 2017. Is it the end of the race to the Premier League trophy this season? Both Leiceister City and Manchester City lost their three points in the same round and gave Liverpool another opportunity to expand the gaps. From the unstable performances of both Leiceister City and Manchester City this season, I don't believe they will be able to narrow the gaps down and come back to the trophy race.
