I think you also need quotes around the word media when talking about the Chinese media. Totalitarian governments don't do media, they do propaganda.

I like how WF calls a meeting about bitcoin rules. Who are they? How bout these rules, we crush your business model into the dust.

Where does it say Amazon or Target? It isn't even up to date about Overstock taking BTC.

My advice. Don't mine or think you can get free coins. Don't screw with stupid alt-coins. Don't download any bitcoin software (other than one of the few respected clients). Don't try playing James Bond when buying coins and giving false info.
Do buy a USB stick for backing up your wallet. Do use an exchange for buying. Do pay taxes on capitol gains you have made.
Try being legit, safe, and profitable.
Cheers

Go on, take a chance. It's a free country. But don't cry if paypal locks the account. PayPal is the worst way to get bitcoins.

OP, do update this when you have determined the most gullible bitcoin user!

doesnt that already exist?
I think your right. Since almost all alt coins are just names, you can just stop there. lol

Just to report. It took a long time and was not a flawless execution, but in the end I did get my gold. The website said they had 10oz. bars in stock. Not sure why it took them over a week to put them in the mail?
Whatever. I may use them again.

website development projects are a natural with bitcoin, I can see why a programmer would want to be paid in it. I think your question is about the pricing. You will need to decide together if services will be denominated in $USD or BTCBTC. If you go with a contract based on bitcoin then both of you face uncertainty about the future exchange rate. If you go with dollars, then you both face uncertainty about how many bitcoins you will be spent. In any case a signed contract is an absolute must before any work begins. That is the most important thing.

Good news.

I still say it is arbitrary. Kinda like Amazon choosing not to sell guns. They could, but they don't. Since BitPay is a private business I do support their right to do as they wish.

My password(s) is a 256 bit hash of several answers to very personal questions. Basically a puzzle that you have to solve in certain order. Yes, it's a big hassle to retrieve it. On the other hand, yes it's a big hassle to retrieve it. lol, big paswords wont matter if you've got a keylogger though . If you're incompetent enough to have a keylogger on your system and not understand why you should be regularly scrubbing your "run on start" programs (hijackthis! generally is my tool of choice) then you have bigger issues than keyloggers I reckon. That's true. I prefer to use linux anyway. Just because you're using linux doesn't mean your keylogger proof https://code.google.com/p/logkeys/Even booting from a cd? I think your good with a live CD. Unless it included a keylogger, which is unlikely.

MJ is "totally legal" in Washington. And there is no stigma among the many banks lending money to dispensaries. It does not make sense to me that a payment network is making my moral choices for me. Having said that, I have much respect for Tony.

So, no problems then. Yay!

Bars sell drugs. Why do they take drug money if it's alcohol?

What a crock. Basically arguing that an uncontrolled free market wont work without.... communism??? I'll take that bet.

You might want to check bitcoincharts.com If it has been sent you may be able to see it there. Just search for your address or transaction ID. If it shows the coins going to your wallet, then you probably just have to wait a bit. That is especially true if you did not include a fee. 3 hours is too soon to panic.
