6061  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Video: Bitcoin in 3 minutes on: November 15, 2015, 12:51:48 AM
We should be careful to promote Bitcoin with "FREE FEES" ... With the introduction of 3rd party products, and them adding fees, it is slowly moving towards the same "fee" model as

are being used by it's competitors. Let's rather promote it with statements saying "Very Low Fees" ...it would be a better strategy. The people might adopt Bitcoin, thinking that

it is FREE and then they get faced with services charging large fees. Apart from that, I enjoyed the 3 minute animation and it's quite simplistic and easy to understand.  Grin

Fees that are less than a cent, if you wish to wait long enough for the transaction.
We need to advertise this big part of Bitcoin; transactions have extremely small fees.

Who needs to care about anything when most sites charge ~3 cents to transfer?

Mass adoption of ShitDice will be commencing worldwide shortly. We will propel Bitcoin into the mainstream.

ShitDice has most definitely fairly taken my money away from me. I will definitely play again, and again, and again.

I'm glad to see that you have had a less than satisfactory experience regarding your Bitcoin balance while playing at ShitDice. I will endeavour to make sure that we can continue providing this level of quality to all of our victims customers.
Unfortunately, I have forsaken ShitDice and profited. This does not feel like a victory for me. I am cutting into the ShitDice fund, and feel terrible.

I apologize profusely for my terrible acts.

Right. I don't think that a Sr. Member account would be worth 0.4 at all...

Especially if there's the possibility that the lender who's stuck with the account might need to deal with negative trust bombs on it.

6065  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm dying while waiting bank transfer... on: November 14, 2015, 09:07:26 PM
Some people says that waiting 10 minuts for bitcoin network confirmations is very slow, what they will say about waiting four days for a bank transfer? Thats 576 times x 10 minuts.
People don't have patience when they see an opportunity.

That's usually how it works, y'know.
But, it sometimes is a good thing when risk is involved. That amount of time can allow people to rationalize their decisions.
6066  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much money/BTC did you make/lose with this recent bubble? on: November 14, 2015, 06:03:05 PM
I didn't sell anything (still HODLING my bag) so I neither made nor lost anything.

Much of the same. I wanted to do something with my bitcoins when it hit the $400 margin, but was too hesitant to try anything with it.

Who was going to know when the bubble would pop?
6067  Economy / Gambling / Re: "Unfold" button in poker. Would that work? on: November 10, 2015, 11:28:51 PM

IMO a very good idea but it would give the more skilled poker players even more advantage over the
average player.

Possibly, but from I've noticed most 'average' (or inexperienced) players can be classified as 'tight passive', meaning they rarely bluff and only call with good hand. Those players are likely to fold before the flop (especially when someone raises). 'Unfold' could give them a second chance, when shitty hand turns out to be not-so-shitty.

So this could work both ways. Better skilled players will still have advantage and will profit more in the long run, but the less-skilled could have potentially more winning chances in the short run.

As well, you can bluff by unfolding. If there's the possibility of having a great hand and you fake it, you can definitely add more psychological game in there.
6068  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which one is easier to win at Blackjack or Poker? on: November 10, 2015, 11:25:51 PM
I prefer Blackjack. Though Poker is easier for people who can psychologically manipulate others, Blackjack is simple, and strategies are not hard to learn.

6069  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: November 10, 2015, 02:45:54 AM
True. Religion doesn't keep people from doing bad things. It simply shows them the difference between good and bad so that they can make up their own mind better. Religion helps define the borders between good and evil.

The thing BitNow and I were talking about is what we want for atheists. BitNow has expressed in the past that they want death for atheists. I have expressed that I want life for the atheists. And, who should fear an atheist threat more because of what they want for atheists.

Smiley

Well, personally, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, so I would prefer not to involve myself in other people's affairs too much. Let atheists be, for they have made their own decision.

Even if there is a chance to convince atheists to change their opinion, I wouldn't bother trying anything. I mean, this is basically the same as an atheist trying to convert religious people to atheism.

In the end, it doesn't really matter.

I don't like this opening so far. I always go for the Grunfeld defense when I play black.
Right now, as things stand, I would play d6 to defend e5, but I have never played this position before.

You can't really go into the Grunfield when they go for an e4 opening.

6071  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: November 10, 2015, 02:15:38 AM

Thanks for the encouragement.

However, the atheists need more protection from you than they do from me. Why? Because I would give them a chance to see truth and change. You simply want them to die. So...

Protect yourself.

Smiley

We are the one that needs protection from them!

But you more, because you are a bigger threat to them. You want them to die. I want them to live by changing their thinking and ways.

Smiley
Uh... what?

I don't think that religion is the only thing keeping people from "sinning" or performing malicious actions.

6073  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: November 10, 2015, 01:22:30 AM
The key to effectively save money is not to spend it on stuff that you really don't need. As long as you have food, clothing, and shelter, those would be the necessary things to live. If you already have something which is working, (such as a smartphone) don't waste your hard-earned money on the latest upgrade. Just be happy with what you already have.  Cheesy
Take advantage of deals. Oh, the savings. Oh, the price cuts. I always try to look for discounts.

Remember to be smart, though. It doesn't take much more than common sense to save money. Being stupid with purchases... well, you're helping the economy I guess.
6074  Economy / Economics / Re: My 21BTC Dream on: November 08, 2015, 07:48:40 PM
This week, i'm gonna buy BTC for a total of 21. Then, i'll storage them offline and just forgot bout it for 5/10/15 years. Waiting they'll reach  a comparable value of 21M $.

How i'll use them?

12M $ = live with 10K$ / month from here to other 100 years
2M $ = to my parents, for them retire
5M $ = for further investment
2M $ = for beneficence (cancer, sla, aids, handicap)

What do you think about my dream?

The question is.. After your long wait of 15 years and Bitcoins will not reach $1M each in value. How would you feel? There's just no way Bitcoins will become so much in value in that time frame or perhaps in your lifetime.
Quite true. It's unlikely that after 15 years, Bitcoin will reach a price of 1 million each. I personally don't feel like that amount of demand will come to Bitcoins that easily, unless there's some catastrophic event that unfolds which makes Bitcoins super valuable.
6075  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: November 08, 2015, 05:40:25 PM
If you are an expert in bitcoin trading, then tere are chances to make a living off   bitcoin. Only with the signature campaign income no one can the lead a life even he is single. Bitcoin ecosystem still in the developing. So it would take more time to get living out of it.

Signature campaign income? You could get banned or the campaign could close down.
It would be foolish to depend on something as uncertain as signature campaigns
im quite agree, what people can buy with just 0.035 BTC or 15$ for a week?, its just very crazy to quit day job that guarantee my life just for signature campaign
Right. If they're in a minimum wage job (in a first-world country), it takes 2 hours to reach that amount of cash. Think about the effort spent on signature campaigns.

Why even waste the effort, UNLESS it's for a hobby?
6076  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] BitFall.co | Clean Design | Referral banners! on: November 05, 2015, 09:36:25 PM
Nice. Very slick design choice, and no huge ads that take up the entirety of the page. This is really nice.

Also, I love the verification method. Instead of some ridiculous words that nobody knows how to write, there's simple games.
6077  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: November 03, 2015, 10:38:41 PM
Today could be a bit risky for short terms investing. But yesterday and one week ago were very good to invest in 1 bitcoin.

That's silly. It was no less risky one week ago. The fact that the price has gone up since then doesn't make it any less risky because that information wasn't known at the time.
Indeed. At any point, the price could suddenly skyrocket further and further. There could be another boost up to 2013 levels.

Bitcoin is volatile, that's how it is. The unpredictability of it keeps me entertained, though Roll Eyes
6078  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot.com :: The bitcoin gambling wallet on: November 03, 2015, 12:10:36 PM
It seems investor is winning the game again now. https://www.moneypot.com/apps/497-investdice shows that bets profit is now -13.5 btc so that should be a good news for investor that he is slowly losing

Site profit is now only -6 btc, but I am not surprised about it TBH. After all, we have seen so many gamblers winning a good amount with martingale and then losing it back, and I don't expect this to be the last case.
Advice to all gamblers: Don't get too greedy.

It is now -4.8. He is way too lucky to get more than 70 btc profit. Too bad he didnt stop, if he stop then that will be a good profit and leave a huge hole for the investor
Looks like it's back up to +5.

Investor profits are at 135 BTC now.
6079  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot.com :: The bitcoin gambling wallet on: November 03, 2015, 12:27:39 AM
What happened to the old money pot website where there was a graph and you had to cash out before it crashed?
That domain and website is now known as "bustabit".

You can go to the website to find it again.
6080  Other / Off-topic / Re: 0.5 BTC reward - smart enough to tell me what is wrong with this book cover? on: November 03, 2015, 12:17:52 AM
A member with newbie account promise to pay 0.5 btc for some stupid thing which may have many possible answer and everyone starts replying.Do you guys really think he will pay 0.5 btc for this?

Doesn't really matter. I like riddles, would just hate it if nothing was there to be found.

I just saw something by the way:

The title words are not aligned on the left. Rookie editing mistake.

The M in mastering does not align with the B of bitcoin, the line and the U of unlocking.
Ooh. It's too bad that you pointed that now. It's going to annoy me now. That's really noticeable now that I realize it!

The kerning is also now irritating me. The t and c in Bitcoin, and the s and t in Mastering.
