So scam and i'm not buying. To bad and i feel sorry for the guys who did buy yesminers. I hope this guy has a short and misserable life!!!

Hi there again...

Is there not a picture that you can send me from a couple of yesminers just to make sure? Maybe that will make my mind up Wink

Dear Marvin,

if someone want to make a video, he will. But if anybody thinks a video will be made by others, no one will make a video Wink

We only have the media available posted at the page, sorry. Maybe later, when Batch #1 is delivered and we have time again.

Hi,

The problem is that there is much contrevercie about if you guys are real or not cause the first batch has been
dispatched and there is no youtube or other kind of review about the miners. I'm interested in buying a lot but if you look at my site of perspective i have to have proof that the yesminer really exist and i want so see it working instead of only the video's you made for the website. That's what keeping me from buying. Do you have other proof like videos with the miners in progress?

Greets,

Marvin

Greets,

Marvin

boy that guy is really really trying hard not to sell you anything...i mean a quick cell phone video of the 'units' sitting about pop one open and the money from you is blamo right there
and a 'sure sale' so much a scam ..hell he (for the sale) would prob say sure ..fax you a NDA (non-disclosure agreement) you sign send back he is protected privacy wise you have proof and he has your money!.......

sheesh ...hope you are just messing with him and DID NOT get any (pretty sure you did not)

Below is my post on lightfoots fixing and moding the Jupiter/Neptune/Titan thread (link below)

here is my 'sacrifice of a titan clone board'  idea....." likely to be shot down by lightfoot (and pics of KNC Oct Jupiter 550gh 4 port Beagle Bone Black Card) that I propose to attempt to mod
to a Titan 4 port board ..using the 'cloned titan bridge (1 of 10) sold on here recently.....for those interested below is the link

have a cube that I really NOW have to play with a Titan Cube and repaste/add fan/do the cut down main heatsink and small heatsink mods) that is slowly dying
2 dies slip sliding into oblivion...a tweak at a time every 2 weeks or so...currently at 200 and 250 ....

so hell may as well 'wreck' as much stuff as possible before these Titan's turn into doorstops......Fast an Furious ASIC version lol ) Smiley

here is the link to the pics/info and hopefully lightfoot will reply..those with the same old KNC OCT Jupiter/Saturn/Mercury 4 or 6 port boards you may still
have laying about..may want to see if anything like this is 'possible' or 'could work'

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1283859.msg13740028#msg13740028

my own view (and some others here) is that KNC went as 'cheap ass as possible" and that ANY 4/6 port board from the 1st knc 2013 board to the last
WILL WORK with the cloned Titan or other Titan Bridges...in fact .my view further is (no proof..just guessing) is that you could get the proper 1 pin raspberry pi
sized pin cables (as others on here more tech savvy then me have proposed) and not need a titan clone bridge daughter board AT ALL just spaghetti the works
...if someone was to just map such out on both boards...again guessing ..but hey look at the firmware shortcuts they took with that and Glen Tarkin's major improvements
...it just plain imho could be that simple (or I could see a cloned titan bridge melt ...like the wicked witch of the east.....)

anyway enjoy...this ugly duckling will either become a Swan or Roast Duck imho Smiley

As a side note.how many folk have old Jupiter/Saturn/Mercury/Neptune boards on hand that they could use in this manner (assuming do'able ..big assumption)

6063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hacking KNC Neptune / Jupiter / Titan miners back to life. Why not? on: February 01, 2016, 08:08:48 AM
I keep repeating to myself: "I will not build a miner, I will not build a miner". While seductive, that way lies DOOOOOOM!!!!!!

Anyway, with nothing else to do but things I should be doing I'm screwing with the neptune/titan firmware. KNC has all sorts of weirdness in these config files, I got a Neptune to think it was a Raspberry pi but it doesn't survive a reboot. System goes "WHAT THE HELL AM I???" and resets the files.

Need a bigger mellon-baller here to do a proper lobotomy....

yeah ...getting a titan board to work with a bbb would be 'epic' esp if glen tarkin supported such with a version of his firmware

by the by still trying to be 'brave' and see if that 'clone bridge' i have will work with a pi and the below (see pics) Oct Jupiter 550gh 4 port board.

I figure I could just try it.....put the LCD in the slot..NO CUBES and if the LCD yelled it was OK and a Titan and the GUI came up with no cubes

I'd be golden

(got to be out of my frigging mind)

OR

I could simply send the works to YOU ....the proper Raspberry Pi B+ 512mb for a Titan (me thinks that is correct or at least what I got from KNC rep
for having about as a spare with NOV 2014 PI fail rates on shipping etc)....the 'clone titan bridge (identical in all ways to KNC version incl silk screen logo lol)
and the LCD screen I don't use

Then once it is in your hot little hands perhaps you could look it over and just use 'pin cables' with the WITHOUT THE NEED FOR ANY proper daughter board placement to the PI and just
plain 'get around' needing a 'daughter board clone' at all....lots of spaghetti cables but hey maybe we are 'overthinking' stuff ..it is NOT like KNC put any real thought in this (IMHO)
easy, cheap and lazy could be to our 'advantage' on such a unicorn project.......would be ugly as hell but wtf ..if it worked a lot of folks would be very happy Smiley..ju

but anyway options...or I can just break down someday when I get time and just 'blow it up' myself Smiley (ah hobbies the joy of despair yet joy of destruction from cool sparky explosions)

let me know here are the pics for all to see ..just in case they have an ugly OCT 2013 Jupiter/Saturn/Mercury BBB setup the same ....still from back in the day...
if the links don't take look under the Jupiter 550gh Album on the link below ...All should be public ...my somewhat 'dubious' evil KNC Shirine ..don't ya know Smiley

lostgonzo.imgur.com

An 'uglier' KNC 4 port card ..has likely never been shown on here.... ugly duckling that it is....I'd like to see if we could make it into a Swan' (or roast duck whichever) Smiley

If nothing else this works..we probably will have a 'good idea' of why the 4 month delay on Neptune's (going into data halls as they yanked out the Jupiter's) and on
a side note what happened to the controllers for these ...Jupiter units and likely Titans units..thus their also 4 month delay.....why make new port boards when you
can recycle! (assuming the above works and I don't blow up everything ..big assumption that this works) Sad

if that is the case (conjecture on my part) you have to give KNC credit they really, really do have this who 'Evil Genius Empire' thing down pat! Smiley

EDIT: Got a PM from Lightfoot he says 'go for it' I don't have time (my rant on stuff related on knc swedish thread link below) only 2 days off every 12 days so anyone
want to beat me to test this feel free ..in link below

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=170332.msg13751378#msg13751378

but looking like 'spaghetti cables' may work also (no need for titan daughter board)

but I have all the parts old pi B+ 512mb and LCD to use...the 'cloned qbert supplied daughter board' and MY old 0ct 2013 KNC 4 port Jupiter board

but again may not get to it ...anyone with same parts from an old Jupiter/Saturn/Mercury/Neptune feel free to give the above cable option a try (hey if its sitting about wtf)

me I'll get to it when I can and let folk know if the daughter board option worked....but gbert who made the clone titan bridges has the schematics for such someone w/o

a cloned daughter board and an old jupiter or whatever card laying about and a pi could give the spagetti cable idea a shot

again if it comes up on the LCD and/or the GUI as a Titan with no cubes we are probably golden

6064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: February 01, 2016, 07:13:34 AM
Why

Not

Ask

From knc

To have

New version

Of Titan firmware???

many people have...no replies ...including glen tarkin also ....they don't care anymore and have not since they stopped firmware support feb 2015 fyi

and shut all of knc down......and off to icelandic data halls they went....the swedish consumer part of the business relasted to us was shut down jan 2015

just a couple guys doing RMA for folk under the 1 year warranty....and they probably will be gone soon as well

hell about 6 months ago I sent emails just to see if they would reply on an RMA question.....4 emails w/in the month NO replies

they don't / won't talk about anything ..my view due to the 'class action' they were told to clam up and do zip tech wise imho

by the by i should probably google or find out what ever happened with that class action against knc (i had no balls to toss 1.5k in the kitty and be liable
according to the law firm probably no more then 5k if knc won....so chickened out)

off to google it...wonder what happened if anything yet

but naw....you can email them all you want ...but an email to Satoshi would have the same result (zilch) but be 'more satisfying' imho

I emailed them once a month or 2 back asking question bout the closed sourceness of their firmware for the Titan controller.... they actually got back to me =P LOL

Heh....KNC  just liked tellying you NO! (just my view)  (I hope some 'former' or other knc tech there is following your firmware progress....put them in their place.....knc even went 'cheap' on their techs and guys with firmware development ..look at github 2 guys...you make 200 million in 2014 an you have 1 guy (kurt quit dec 2014) and the other guy that did a tweak or two
till feb 2015..after kurt hit the road..thats it.....customer were chumps imho before the units even left the gate Smiley

well I'm surprised they 'replied' probably trying to 'discourage your efforts' which IF THEY ARE AWARE ..probably causes them 'amateur coder shame in hindsight' lol Smiley

heh 'knc replied' who'd a thunk it Smiley

by the way email them again ask if you can get a copy of forums for the community......that will likely get NO reply..but hey...you have more 'legit' authority to ask

for tech info then most in that you are moving the 'firmware' along....worth a  shot (don't tell them about the ip page still being up thou lol ) Smiley

the link was

http://forum.kncminer.com/

it likely won't amount to anything but at least you can say 'you were an adult' and tried...if they 'childishly' don't reply Smiley

the forums 'were' public so they have no real excuse imho but the one of 'not really giving a damn'

you get a reply and a way to get that and you will be 'tipped' by many on here ....that is for sure..

anyway appreciate your efforts on our behalf

NOTE:

And anyone on here to my previously posted question IS IT POSSIBLE to take the 18 or whatever wayback  machine archive backups of the old knc miner archive snapshots (with forums hopefully available also in some manner) and MERGE them for some kind of 'kinda sorta' working (incomplete but merged) mirror of such?

just saying it may or may not amount to much...but I'd like to think you could with some program/manner merge them all get rid of duplicate inks and viola say 3/4 of the forums accessible in some mirror'd manner for our use?

just saying ..might be up to doing that as a side project if i had a 'newbie' plug an play way/program to do such with the archives downloaded in whatever manner this would work

(i currently use WinHTTrrack to get them 'individually by date" a side program to merge stuff would be great!)

Thanks J4bberwock for trying to tell these guys who I really am and im just an investor who has a shit lot of money placed at YM.
Moderator of the forum is dead silence, showing he is working with some of the guys in the forum.
The Transfer note I have shared with you all is from my Company through my Bank Nordea, to YM.
I just wrote YM yesterday asking what the hell is going on and that I lost my account to moderators and a hacker just because they thought I was part of YM. But as you know, the story about me is different that what some few guys think and that brings them the right to hack my account.
I ask those same guys if it possible to get my account back, since it ruind a sale of some of my miners and let a lot  of new bitcoin miners with out a clue what happend to the miners they wanted to buy. Sorry that they have to experience this from the community.

J4bberwock, You know my company and that I bought a lot of breakout boards from you and had to return some because of a switch problem that you solved very fast for me. I ordered J4bberwock`s boards and extra long cables in 2 big shipments, those boards are brilliant with my S5 farm and SP20 farm.
Just so you all know, I have tried to get theymos (Moderator) to reactivate my account, but when he discovered (I think) that I really was the rightfull owner of the account he just turned in silence instead of dealing with the problem that some moderators are working with hackers in the forum.....
If the guy who hacked me would give me my account back i will not make a mess out of it and just leave you alone. Im a bitcoin believer and just got a very big punch in my face just for saying what I think and made me think about starting saying bad things about Bitcoin instead of being a supporter.

I still do not fancy the idea that Moderators are working with hackers in this forum, its a shame and a bad thing for the bitcoin society.

How exactly did the moderators hack you, do you have any proof of that or any of your other deluded ramblings? What you need to prove the account ownership is a signed message from a bitcoin address that posted in this forum some time ago. Do you have such an address? Did you send a signed message to theymos? I don't think he's interested in your conspiracy theories. If you don't have solid proof of being the original account owner - SOL. Anybody can create Xircom2 or Xircom3456 and start begging for the account to be handed over to them.

How did they get my e-mail ?
You do not know what proof I have send and the only thing you do is bullying. I did send a signed message, but he could not use the BTC address since I have never posted my BTC address...
But he got all my info re. correspondence with other forum members, forum members know my company e-mail address and could send it to him as proof.... Stil do not get other people right to hack other peoples accounts just because they dislike what ever is said...

not sure I'm following this but could be yes miners if a scam is the ones that swiped your account

anyway irregardless before the 'drama' here did deal with xircom (orig) and had no issues...but without a 'moderator' taking the time to jump in on proof (ie his secret question etc from way back say and other info) you probably should just (xircom2) make a new identity and put it all behind you

but the real issue is ..imho.....yesminers being a scam...they likely used your account....

anyway most of here I think (I'm assuming) we will see this all 'wrap up here soon' on this thread as the scammers cover their tracks as 'law enforcement' in various countries etc gets involved.....then say in 2 weeks maybe 'deafening silence' on all fronts ..here/pm's/emails/the web site etc etc etc

its how such scams work

but if this happened to me ...I'd just make a completely new ID tell whom you want to you were orig xircom..but if the moderators won't help you ...I'm afraid the bitcointalk has run off with the yes miner scammers (or my theory)...not sure can you change your name on an account like xircom2? or do you have to start over...I think you may have to start over?

but that is my view/and what I'd do .just move on from both ..yes miner loss and pm xircom name loss

anyway keep in touch

Searing

Many people on the internet say that you are "scam". Why is there no evidence of any delivered miner from the internet? I just saw your post on Youtube.... and ...if you want I come in Hamburg to see the miners working.... if not I want to be refunded within next tuesday.
Best regards,

This is the @ I sent to YM today  Wink

Did you get a response from Yesminers?

Sorry for folk's loss here....but they did say Jan 2016 and this is the last day. That's all she wrote folks

.....

again sorry for your loss....I got scam'd by BFL in 2013..did by 'luck' get a refund (3 week window 1 year 20 days later to try and stop FTC coming..it did not work...and refunds stopped)

so yeah....been there...hopefully someone can 'track this guy down' and you can get your btc back ......

6068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hacking KNC Neptune / Jupiter / Titan miners back to life. Why not? on: January 30, 2016, 11:33:37 AM
Man.....why did KNC build such utter SHIT?!?!?

they were designed for 3 month warranty....that was it ..the only reason the orig titan owners got 1 year a bunch of us ordered such before they changed
the web pages...they then tried 'dual warranty' those before that date got 1 year those after got 90 days..part of the reason I'd like to figure out how to take
all the wayback machines archives of knc from 2013-2015 and 'merge' them for a kinda sorta mirror (anyone how is this done)...just so I could read all the crap
the pulled again and flat out 'lies' they said along the way ...(why they nuked it imho ....because of the class action)

..then of course the large amount of RMA's came
in on the first batch of dies not being too good...so they then changed the max from 300 on the adv page to 325....so they have overclocked this unit 2x
above ..what their orig web pages said of 250mh.....thus the need for the y 2 cable and 2 psu's etc etc.....after that point all titans have been run full out

it is a frigging asic 'miracle' my rasberry pi 8th grade science project .controller board just sitting around .exposed to the air/cats/etc (I mean could not even afford
a plastic box for it ..how cheap is that) .has lasted 14 months....

I attribute that to just the plain 'evilness' of KNC machines........like 'asic' zombies ...unless monitored constantly...they 'kinda sorta' work Smiley but 'refuse to die'
keeping 'minon's like us" in the constant battle to stop them from 'bricking themselves to a door stop at the first oppurtunity..evil I tell ya Smiley

and of course what the market would bear when they put the price tag on these

by the by ...what is an estimate from someone in say the mnfg field of the reality of what these cost with parts/labor and the chips....1/5th what they charged is my guess

at the MOST..

anyway....like all 'space heaters' they will eventually 'fry out' imho ..they were 'road hard and put away wet' out the factory gate Smiley

last point...did anything ever come of that 'swedish class action' you put 1.5k down per Titan and/or maybe more if you lost the case?

6069  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Runaway miner acquisition "syndrome" on: January 30, 2016, 06:59:32 AM
lots of good points.

All my gear will be up for sale in april

I have to do this every year.

My power costs have a summer jump from about 9 cents (counting free heat)

to 18 cents counting cooling in May.  So all my gear has to move in April.

The current diff is 120 based on 859ph of hash.

Last jump for a four day period we averaged 970ph.

So without any new stuff  we could move from 120 diff to 135 diff

All the yoyo moves have happened since bitfury put up the 40 megawatt plant.

I suspect they are the biggest force in diff rise.

avalon6's from blockC are about 1700 and a new amount came in yet to be sold and not all online

so 1700 x 3.3 th = 5.6 ph  if they sell all their other new shipment it will be about 7ph more that is only 12.6ph

s-7's sell and sell a lot  over 70ph based on bitmaintechs  btc addy's  but that is only 80ph

I think bitfury's plant is the driving force of growth.

sept 4   407 ph
jan 26   859 ph

so 452 ph added but more like 600ph

I believe bitfury runs 200 to 350 ph of this growth
I believe they see saw the hash due to the heat it makes

the tractor trailer sized container can handle 1.5 megawatts of power.
All the evidence I see point to them using these or a prototype of these.

http://bitfury.com/products#container-datacenter

(removed pic)

Well I'm a bit unclear are you 'completely' out due to the btc diff rise and your electric cost rise AFTER say this summer?

so say AFTER this ..do you see a way for yourself to get back into it? (me I know I'm out for good at 13.7c kwh regular and 0.966 kwh winter ..home miner wise when my equip dies)

You'd be the last to fold imho unless ..there was just NO WAY to pull it off...so just making sure is that your view and you are 'out' say by fall 2016...and 'unlikely' ever to return?

6070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 30, 2016, 06:15:41 AM
Quick PSA:

Vegasguy has re-opened his site and updated his ebay ad.
I want to make PERFECTLY CLEAR ... the version he is selling is fake and unfinished, it is from my test builds. In the terms of version It is NOT the official v1.0 in fact, its my very unfinished and buggy code of the "Energy Saver" edition.  Several bugs Ive discovered since then can be detrimental to the Titan.
If you purchase from him, you will receive no support from myself(the creator of the current release v.99e).

Id like to remind everyone once again MY website & the official way to obtain the firmware is http://gentarkincustomtitan.pcriot.com

If any of you are upset about this as I am, I encourage spreading the word to let others know.

You need to contact ebay....show you are the admin of the github site of your sofware for proof....and get him shut down if not banned from ebay

that should be plenty of info imho to do this with an ebay rep (they will answer voice or did a couple years ago on fraud)

anyway that is all you can do or if you know his real name and address you can sic a lawyer on him

but hell ....the one call to ebay with some proof sent there way may be all it takes...and if they open a 'dispute' per say and put it on hold  he will run away
in that in the dispute they will see your facts and you will win

anyway others on here probably know more about this from their businesses ect just saying

6071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 29, 2016, 11:57:42 AM
Did you get a picture of your 'obviously' modified cut down 'heat sink plate' on the above also (or a link)

Here's the one I did a while back on my Neptune. Yep, Titan and Neptune Cubes are both laid out the same. I used a marker, ruler, a rotary with metal cutoff wheel and finished it off with some sandpaper. Oh and I clamped it down of course. You can see the first one got marred by the clamp, the rest I bent a piece of cardboard over it to protect it. Don't stress it too much, it's really not hard. That's the first time I've ever cut a metal plate like that and I have shaky hands! Fair warning though, it will get very hot if you use a rotary! Thanks for the old KnC IP link too, that's great! Smiley

For GenTarkin, I also did quite a few temp comparisons between the heatsink and fan upgrades, full gallery here: http://imgur.com/a/zQDSa

yeah thanks glad i tripped over the knc ip address again

wondering if you  or others know...or have better google skills then me

but i go to

Internet Archive: Wayback Machine

and there is a crap load of 'saved site' stuff from KNC ..i'm unsure of "how deep" this goes (ie all the way down like 7 layers or more to forums)

BUT

There HAS to be a way ..you can get all these daily 'snapshots' and 'merge them in some manner ...getting out the duplicate links

and maybe just maybe 'merge' the archives into some kinda workable (kinda sorta) mirror for knc forums?

It would not be 'ideal' but better then nothing..er maybe?

anyway I looked at it ..no zip about comp sci stuff like this ....maybe you 'd have better luck or can ask around too as well as others here

so far no luck way over my head Sad

other then that still doing the WinHTTrack program for archiving  the IP address anyway
...it takes a bit to grab it all in an archive

anyway what i'm thinking ..perhaps it is NOT possible ..i'd think such could be done thou

anyway tossing it out there for the more skilled then myself (there should be more then a few lol ) Smiley

here is the IP address (w/o forums) link again

http://168.63.65.32/

and below is the part of that page above (forums) which does NOT work. Thus my merge of wayback machines archive above (er maybe?)

Hmm, Mat is long, those are basically the epitome of "weak hand" coins.  Now all we need is to print a bumper sticker that says, "If MatTheCat is long, what could go wrong?"

yeah ... i hold all my coins i've ever mined...may as well print one up for me too Smiley ...hell you may have a thriving bumper sticker business concern a going! Smiley

boom or bust baby....boom or bust Smiley
6073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 28, 2016, 09:28:29 AM
Hey I have a seasonic 1200i that has worked well since nov 2014 on my 6 cube Titan setup

summer it toggled itself off...so i put 2 cubes with 1 dead die each and reg working full cube on it to save (100 watts)

it did this on me again less then 1 month ago

and it was fine up to this week...now it has 're-lighted 2x time in 3 days"

so my post here on such..in that the 'asic gods' are trying to tell me something i fear (like get another corsair 1200i you cheapskate!) Sad

so my question is I have a 660w corsair (remember knc in 2013 saying they were gonna have 3rd batch and then did not yeah still new lol) Smiley

anyway I COULD make this 6 port unit with 3 cubes (fading corsair 1200i) into a 5 cube unit and move the cube to my other controller using above seasonic 660w
so that my 2 cube titan unit (works fine with 860w seasonic) into a 2 psu unit and 3 cube unit

that is my cheap ass plan (unless folk think it is too dangerous from what they see my psu doing..thus this post to other titan types)

BUT is this a 'sign from the asic gods' that the PSU is going BAD big time and I should just replace it?

(the self test comes up ok go figure)

temp in basement is like 64F so THAT should not be an issue..also have euro 220v tripp lite surge protector on the unit...and the other corsair on same controller
works just 'dandy' ..that one has the controller power as well...so the 'fading 1200i goes and poof' she mines at 1/2 speed ....

(as i sit here looking from work at my 429mh vs my usual 645mh ...gee a whole 2 bucks a day I'm losing after electric! (the horror) with LTC anyway

anyway if worse comes to worse the only problem with my 'cheap ass plan' is even running 2 cubes it 'fades out and off" and it won't be stable ...I will try this

would be slick if I could at least 'see' if this could limp along with 2 cubes only.....save me 309 bucks (or at least alllow me to get a new corsair 1200i and keep in the box

as a spare ...if I go full coward)

if folk on here have more experience with this then myself and say NO DON'T it is a sign of something worse and could fry the titan etc would appreciate the 'heads up"

....but anyway just wondering what folk think

also have the old 7 year parts and labor warranty on this corsair 1200i i psu's is the postage/costs worth looking into to get such refurbished? (309 sale w/ship on newegg as an example
of new corsair 1200i costs incl shipping)...has anyone every 'refurb'd' a psu on such a plan after the 30 day replacement has passed...is it worth it?...

anyway appreciate it ....don't need to turn the 1 titan into a 'doorstop' quite yet Smiley if the consensus is my PSU is shot as hell and just letting me know before it 'blows up"

(i bet we will see more of these posts...actually like 14 months 24/7 probably is NOT unexpected to replace a PSU on these....but still)

anyway 'expert' advice from others 'maybe' with similar issues (gpu/asic/or other) please reply with advice

thanks

I need to replace a fan on one of my KNC Titan cubes.  What replacement fans have others had good luck with?

Very happy with Noctua NF-A14, a tad louder than stock fan but cools much better.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KFCRF1A?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage

Curious, whats the DCDC temp difference you noticed?

They managed to keep temp below 80F during summer months, but I also added individual heat sinks to the DCDC module (like in Swedish video). Temp would go up to 90 when I was using stock fan.

Edit: mod pic

Did you get a picture of your 'obviously' modified cut down 'heat sink plate' on the above also (or a link)

trying to 'man up' and do the same

on a side note I 'heard' from someone who got an email from kurt at knc (tech) back in the day ..that you put the 'thermal paste' on the 'heatsink' not the chip..just enough to cover it

not sure if legit advice or not (it is a knc tech) but figured I'd pass it along here .....perhaps we can have a debate on the merits of each Smiley

anyway my plan is if I ever do such I will simply take the 'heatsink plate' to a local metal shop ..give the guy 10 bucks to cut it 'precisely' and buff it up...lazy that I am Smiley

anyway again a picture of your mod would be great!

see that a lot for mining software in general.

I just exclude the folder with mining programs from my antivirus scanners and use only the official download sites for the miners.

yeah it was just a double check in case his build got corrupted..what I figured...I'm still trying to get the linux version to work

(Ubuntu 12.04) on some toss away ..'no longer able to go past xp' machines for free that I use to monitor 2 titans....

seemed like a good idea for dual purpose but been 2 months on time off ..trying this ...sent some info to novak but

most folk are just saying screw it and put these on a pi insead..may do so...hard to mess up an SD someone can copy me

if worse comes to worse....anyway....thanks for the info

Just letting people know I updated the windows binaries to support bitshopper compacs and I also compiled it with icarus, so you should be able to run it with lots of other stickminers if you wish.

Let me know if you find any issues.  The old version is still at gekkoscience.com/misc/cgminer-gekko-win32-old.zip

6076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hacking KNC Neptune / Jupiter / Titan miners back to life. Why not? on: January 26, 2016, 09:24:39 AM

hey tripped over an ip direct address that works with kncminer site before they took it down (but not forums)

but all the stuff from 2013 or so seems to be on there if you want to archive it with a web archiver product

(i use winhttrack myself freeware on downloads.com

anyway it is something

this is on wayback machine

https://archive.org/web/

also i posted this and my thoughts on IF there is a way to merge the 12 or more snap shop archives of kncminer.com/forums/forums (see other thread below)

and MERGE them ...so that it is 'half assed' way to search knc forums yet...at least something

my thoughts on the knc Swedish asic miner thread below

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=170332.msg13680898#msg13680898

anyway links etc hopefully it is useful to someone that knows how such merging works

if nothing else you can track their 'shift to the dark side' from the news forum ..that you can still get to via the ip (see above link)

(hey it is something)

6077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 26, 2016, 09:18:27 AM
Someone on here was aksing about this...it is JUST the knc old site (not the forums) but has all the news
and patches from oct jupiters etc on

just figured it may be useful to some

i'm currently using httrack websidte copier to grab the stuff and firmware..but again forums is down

here is the IP to try

http://168.63.65.32/

just pop that in and let it run...again forums come up as 502 error

looking at tools to merge all the knc forums wayback machine archives into one archive to see if we could get a more complete mirror of the forums

i see tools for such but looks over my head

that would be my suggestion to the more knowledgeable then myself if there was some way to grab all the 'wayback machine' archives and 'merge'

them in some manner to recover

www.forums.kncforums.com ..using that or IP or whatever

but again all are on below

https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://forum.kncminer.com/forum/

well anyway was just a thought..but anyway for those in need or want to track firmware progress etc for jupiter 2013 and onward use the above ip

but again would be nice to see all the wayback forums (if possible) merged into at least a 'half-assed' version of forums tech info

would be helpful

anyway for what it is worth at this late date

by the by

www.kncminer.com

still has pages up for neptune and titan stuff fyi....

note need to print your graph on my pillowcase so I can hold it every night..yeah baby Smiley

but truthfully with the current angst/fud/drama/etc on bitcoin and all with devs etc

I'd be happy as hell if it just did this

2013 150

2014  250  (say was the ave)

2015  400 (say is the new ave)

2016  550

2017  750

heck ....with all the above fud/drama/ and I assume future "bitcoin is dead' drama/backlash and push back...i can live with that

so the below seems to be coming true...i see the 'fight you' *futile thou it may be* coming up in spades this year of 2016!

6079  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Yesminer M20 / M10 on: January 25, 2016, 07:48:54 AM
As i can see @beliza hacked his account and sold it to yesminers, fucking great! Check his trust!

Why is it so fucking great that my account got hacked ?
Just because you disagree with the things I say, dosent give you the right to hack my account.

You are right.Every member must be able to announce her/his opinions. If we will begin to hack each other just to bully, this indicated the maturity of our forum members.

Thanks, it just shows how unmature some forum users are. But it still dosent help me to get my account back from this @beliza who hacked me.

sent you some pm's with links on how to (supposedly) i assume you checked your spam email etc ..when an account pswd is changed i 'assume' they send you  a notice of such..perhaps that would help with proof

also set a 'secret password' like a 'childhood friend' etc (hell i just checked i did ..but damn'd if i remember doing it) Smiley

anyway all i have good luck let us know how it works out

(by the by....xircom2 sent me an email not a PM on this ..if that is any help.....so supposedly if it was not hacked they would not know my email..in that it was if i remember right a reply from my email to his email..thus ..he had to shoot me his email first..not vice versa...ie the spammer would know know it hacking his bitcointalk account)

again...assuming is it not the same bloke...but if it is not the same bloke and he had my email .i would 'suspect' some havoc on my toss away email account...so just saying..

lots of work to make up a story (or at least in my world seems to complicated to not be a hack)

but hell I belived BFL at one time..what do I know...but the above is outside of bitcointalk figured it was worth tossing it in the mix here for consideration of xircom's bona fides etc

irregardless of what you think by all means SET YOUR SECRET PASSWORD it has to help I'd think?

for what it is worth

Searing

So what am I missing here? Is it that Xircom is a hacked account, and what was written here by Xircom is false?
or is the hack after that fact?

that is my 'assumption' in that I got the email asking for help on how to 'unhack' it....but irregardless of the truth ..yes miners is scam imho and xircom (got took it seems)

so whatever....was the only 'proof' i have unless this is a whole 'jekyel and hyde thing' (bitcointalk drama/fud/trolls/scammers)

anyway....if nothing else folk check your account that you have a 'decently hard' password and an 'obscure secret question' is about the only 'true' thing you can take off of

this

anyway ..it is "next week" as yesminers have said the 'equip' is in the mail...ie where is it?Huh??

(much like believing in faries/unicorns/magic/rainbows and kitty cat videos on youtube...I await a 'real yes miner' with the same childhood anticipation of Santa ..ie wtf no Santa
if i can remember my disillusionment correctly) Sad

could make a country song.....yesminrer's you've done me wrong...(add yodeling here).......pause....I only have my dog and my pickup truck now..pause.....(all i got so far) Smiley

(well actually yesminer's has done me no wrong in that I did not order one...but then again most courntry super stars don't have a pickup truck have a Porsche imho) Smiley

6080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much does it cost to vote in the actual blocksize diatribe? on: January 24, 2016, 01:03:43 PM

I'm running a bitseed v2 bitcoin node (probably paid 75 bucks more then I could have built one but was lazy)

I have a static ip from spectrum (charter) at 60 mbps so I see no lag with like 50 connections on it

I don't download or stream movies etc so results may vary

currently my vote is the 'default' 'bitcoin core' but that could change

will probably put up a litecoin node to on a pi...just for the heck of it

currently mining 2 knc titan scrypt miners..when they go doorstop will like to contribute something yet to the networks.....

have to have some frigging 'blinking' LCD's in the basement to slow the " home miner withdrawl" Sad

anyway my experiences

the bitseed pre-made node link below
