Bitcoin in the Headlines: 21 Inc Hits Media Jackpot : http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-in-the-headlines-21-inc-hits-media-jackpot/ Elsewhere, bitcoin was finally getting some good press in the mainstream media.
Peter Van Valkenburgh, director of research at Coin Centre, took on the mighty task of exploring just how bitcoin could potentially unlock net neutrality in a Wired article. How could this be?
Unlocking net neutrality with bitcoin
The piece notes that last-mile bandwidth remains mostly unused because people only consider two possibilities: opening the connection to everyone, resulting in a potential loss of privacy and the expense, or alternatively, securing it so that only one party can use it.
This is where bitcoin comes in. "Micropayments and encryption could provide a way out from this trade-off. Efficient micropayments, however, have not been possible before the invention" of the digital currency, the article notes.
Van Valkenburgh said that those with strong Internet connections will earn more in micropayments as their peers seek to connect through their routers. This would mean that these participants could use part of that revenue to pay for larger data plans or faster web access.
Someone should just dash in there and do that already, pref someone with abilities like speed, privacy and in possession of a 2-tier network

interesting read, thanks for pointing that one out.
P.S. did you read that reply from bassclef about the "On Balance Volume" indicator (OBV) ? That is very interesting as well. I've never heard of that indicator but IMO that guy's totally right - volume is a potentially more interesting parameter than price since it actually reflects more on proliferation of the market and actual number of coins changing hands. Luckily, the phenomenal Bitcoinwisdom has that indicator on hand.... http://stockcharts.com/school/doku.php?id=chart_school:technical_indicators:on_balance_volume_obv![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FvbsJKnp.png&t=663&c=0LeTmxy4rIHjYg) yeah, i read his reply too .. a lot of brainfood in there ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Found the following also interesting There is often frustration of traders who cant figure out when the market hasn't behaved like it should, or their favorite technical indicators have stopped working. They simply aren't looking at the market in the correct way.
Today, the composite man (biggest money movers) is bullish and has been since capitulation. This can be seen on the charts, as the rising bottoms during this trading range indicate that rising price levels have been supported and there's not enough supply available to push the price down. He won't fight this difference in supply and demand by trying to sell short as it would be too expensive a maneuver. Instead he propels the market upward, leaving the bottom behind, using the path of least reistance and capitalizing of the fear of missing out. It kinda reminds me of someone that does the same for DRK (or at least seemed to be doing the same till the rebranding hit us)

Looks like BTC's preparing for the rally to $300. People been dumping all day on BTCe thinking it's heading for a massive correction and the dumps just get bought. Buying now overcoming selling on the 4 hour.
this could be the start of a longterm reversal, finally changing from a bear market to bull market? there is already a month of green bars visible now if you put it on 1W interval : https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/bitfinex/btcusd

lets just keep AW in his small little world, there is just no point into responding to his posts anymore. Not only are his posts lacking any substance or perhaps some imagination that would warrant an intelligent discussion, they also convey a total failure at trolling .. i'm sure we all have better things to do then responding to a failing troll.

Is there a purpose to being a Darkcoin Foundation Member, is the board the only decision making entity? Since they are not elected and seem to be in very firm control of the future of the coin I would very much like to understand how the structure works, as well as the decision making. In my opinion Evan is the daddy so what he says sorta just goes to a certain extent. But there are a lot of invested parties and I would love some clarification as to how the decision making process works. What is the role of a darkcoin (or dash) foundation member?
We’re absolutely open to everyone’s input and always have been. We would like this process to be 100% transparent as possible. In the community supports it, I would support hiring a firm to handle the rebranding for us. We could allow the firm to engage directly and transparently with the community, then have foundation members vote on the final decision.Evan. https://darkcointalk.org/threads/rebranding-followup.4266Wow--that would be really cool--I would actually get a vote. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) What is really cool is that I just reached the last page of posts! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) damn, you got bumped from the last page of posts
