which project are you most confident with and why?
Knowing that most of our coins are influenced by speculation, I really don't feel confident about most of our coins but i will choose to support the likes of bitcoin, ethereum, ether classic, doge and many others. WABI? VET? TNB? Not to sound like some crypto coin collector or anything in these lines, never heard of these altcoins.

https://www.alfatop.meIt's great that a city has many merchants that accept Bitcoin, the only thing missing in this, is barely anyone is spending their Bitcoins to buy things. Everybody just in hodl mode. If we want true adoption start spending and paying for things in BTC.
~SNIP~ I mean I’ve gambled with bitcoin then sold some & rebought but I don’t think I’ve ever bought anything with bitcoin. https://www.airvpn.org/They take Bitcoin. And they are bloody good. Hopefully obvious why you would use Bitcoin and not your credit card. Still interested in spending your btc?? You can always add https://www.alfatop.me to your list if you need some mobile top up.. I just hope you are among the supported countries for this service. GL
Out of interest does anybody (except jbreher) still own any BCH or SV?

"Nobody" I don't think so! Smart gamblers who know when to stop usually get away with it with a win,and they are only a few who have walked away with a load full of cash. Examples could be National lottery winners, casino winners and more. But if you chasing losses then you destined to lose.

These price movements of crypto shouldn't get you worried, could be some corrections which is normal and nobody needs to panic about it. Worst case could be price manipulation but this is mere speculation for now. And price is not as bad as it sounds, bitcoin is still going to the moon.

People who might say bitcoin is garbage have a selfish attitude because cryptocurrencies make it possible for people to earn from this newly found gold with ease, and the biggest advantage is that it's open to everyone around the world without restrictions which come with regulated currencies.

If you expect people from all over the world to use bitcoin and have different beliefs, professions and everything, then btc can not be confined to be a p2p solution only, the bearer has the right to treat it however the like, can be stock, can be digital gold the choice is unlimited.

Very similar but gambling should be more fun as you can watch the action as it happens unlike just looking at some numbers or graph, and you get to rely on past results which are more likely to help with predicting a result.
TBH it's difficult to separate the twoo but gambling has an edge over trading.

Could be one of any of the following reasons: - there might be a conflict of interest and bitcoin support takes away their business
- the believe using crypto is supporting many illegalities such as drug trafficking, money laundering etc
- myth that crypto is for terrorists
- simply not tech savy
- might be from a certain generation that believes old is gold
- simply don't understand this technology
- might be there job to hate crypto, or they are the law enforcers

That’s all very good and well. But the only alt coins that have shown any value to date so far are stable coins. And even they are quite dubious. Tether and Dai have shown us that current stable coins are not stable. They had one job....
Until we have at least one alt coin which has achieved something, I’m afraid your argument has no practical application, and is of theoretical interest only.
I personally cannot believe that tether still exists. Reason behind it been still alive could be because of the marketing strategies been used by some exchanges to try and keep tether alive and relevant by paying with tether certain tasks on the exchange
Nice strong comeback 600watt but toknormal does bring out some valid points too! (Both posts deserve some m*rit)

And now what is your opinion about decentralized exchanges after this event? I think people will finally consider the DEXes more seriously. The only problem with a dex is it can not serve different type of coins run on different blockchains which makes a centralized exchange better in this comparison. But in the case of security I think dex is way better than a centralized exchange!

Soon we will be seeing an upgraded version of this thread, yeah... Bitcoin is back at $8,000. There is a real bull run here, in $3000 increase so far in just 3 weeks.
Not so fast, we need to know where it's resistance wall will be set before we can confirm we are back at $8000 because things are unfolding way too fast to be comfortable.
I'm wondering if this bullrum moment, until the moment a big wave of buys in bitcoin, and decrease the volume of altcoins, how much will the bitcoin be in 2020?
Too many factors affect cryptocurrencies and 2020 is a little bit in the future I wouldn't even bother give my forecast, though over $10k looks possible.

There I was thinking bitcoin was a dead horse but it seems to be wide awake and gone back to its old bullish self. There goes bullish bitcoin, Up up and away! 9k should be in our sight any time soon.

At this point i have learnt that comparing things or in this case cryptocurrencies that do not save the same purpose does not yield the intended results.
Bitcoin and Ethereum are totally different & I think both dependent on each other because of their contributions to the crypto ecosystem, however I still would pick BTC over ETH because of the huge demand and support it has, as can be seen by its price.

A shitcoin should be any digital coin with no value that can't be saved even after an effort to pump it, it can include those coins that have a market capitalisation less than 1 bitcoin after a long period of being listed on an exchange.

As Bitcoin Price Keeps Surging, We Examine Potential Catalysts
-snip-
Is it just me or there is more influence coming from the U.S of A based on the potential catalysts ... And what's happening with the Asian influence on crypto because once upon a time these where major drivers of crypto.
This race will be important:
- Weak Hands that have sold - Those who sold in ATH - Those who bought in ATH - Institutional money
Everyone will buy BTC again, the result, some holdlers more and the price of BTC to the moon.
The upcoming bitcoin halving, the race to buy btc is on because before you know it the market will be crypto starved! Come on BUY, BUY!!
