6141  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Electrical harzards on: April 23, 2017, 02:13:56 AM
Over the past couple months I had been experiencing some problems with my miner not working at its optimum speed however,  yesterday I fixed it.  (One of the wires to the second fan was damaged)...  Now that it's fixed its working at its full potential..

It is an S7 running at 4.6Th/s

Apparently,  now that it's running at its full potential,  it's drawing more current.  I had it connected to a 2000Watt transformer last night and one of the sockets to the transformer melted.

I switched it to another location today using a bigger transformer (3000watts),  only to know after a couple hours of mining,  the transformer burnt out.

Has anyone been experiencing these problems and how we're they solved?

How do you have your miners connected?

You need to let us know what transformers you were using as the overall rating alone doesn't give enough information.

Hi there i deposited some btc into a lottery and won but now im not able to withdraw due to the deposit not being confirmed? any idea on how i can speed up the process without invalidating the transaction

https://blockchain.info/tx/d0fddf60549c39ca6f6fc7147765aa8a6995b55275eb8c310f2111c8bb101d1f

any help would be greatly appreciated

The fee paid is extremely low @ 4.8 sats/byte and it doesn't meet the minimum requirements for acceleration using ViaBTC tool.  I think you'll have to wait unless you can get the sender to resend with a higher fee.

I don't know the answer but one would think that at least one of 100 people of average intelligence would have had the foresight to carry a laptop with them on the journey if for no other reason than to occupy their mind playing Candy Crush on the long flight.

6147  Other / Off-topic / Re: I am legendary ! on: April 18, 2017, 12:07:37 PM
So finally I made it, I have been crowned legendary ! My actual activity is 868. I am glad I did not had to wait very long to become one !

It spent 29 days, 11 hours and 52 minutes to become one and I made 3095 in the meantime. Those numbers might not be exactly right, as I saw it now, and theorically I am one since Tuesday, but still it gives you and the posterity an idea.

Now theymos really needs to add another rank so that I can reach it !

Congratulations!  Hopefully more ranks will be added one day but until then,
6148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regenerating lost bitcoins on: April 17, 2017, 01:18:29 AM
Going through the archives and finding an interesting post regarding how to replace lost bitcoins.

I would agree that, just like in the banking system, every 5,10 or 20 years, bank accounts that have been forgotten are taken over as they are considered that the client passed away and did not mention it in his will to be given somewhere else.

Thus if we are to see Bitcoin or any digital currency overtaking the financial system, it is definite that bitcoins that are unused or unaccessible for a given amount of years should enter into the pool of distributing to the miners as a bonus incentive of the standard rate they are currently given.

Reading through plenty of negative comments of sitters not willing to login to their account for many years even though they might have access to it or want to live in a remote area without accessing it for many years.
I have to say the following, gold is precious throughout time because even if lost, it can be found as any treasure is found. Unfortunately the same cannot apply for bitcoin as lost hard-disks or accounts are essentially lost.
Someone can argue, "but we can implement more digits therefore the deflationary condition will just be adjusted".

Here is where bitcoins value will be lost, because just like businesses dont appreciate inflation, the same applies for deflation. Everyone prefers stability, therefore if bitcoin is to become a main medium of exchange it needs to consider its stability of promised coins. Otherwise competitor currencies will adopt this strategy and bitcoin is looking at a gloomy future as businesses will not be willing to adopt it since it will be hard to find anyone with actual bitcoins if people are willing to abandon them in forgotten accounts.

We're being punked right?  Login to what account now?

6152  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you feel about the death penalty? on: April 16, 2017, 01:24:14 AM
Some are against the death penalty and some are supporting it. The arguments go on on different sides. Who's right? We don't know.

Of course murders, rapes, corruption, and other heinous crimes are hard to forgive, and some don't think of any other way but to take the life of the murderer. In order to induced fear also in doing that kind of crimes.

Well, I think and I feel that taking the life of someone else is not the right thing to do no matter what they've have did. Its really hard to bear this and much rationale but it always give cents on soul and still ....

An eye for an eye will only make the whole world blind.
~ Gandhi

Don't get me wrong, Gandhi was a great man and I'm sure what he said would look good on a greeting card but he sucked at math.  Only about 15% of the world would be blind with an 'eye for an eye' mentality.

So by withholding the drug midazolam, european manufacturers are advocating for a more painful death for these 7 criminals.  Good to see Europe is no longer misplacing its empathy.  Finally somebody to stand up for the real victims here; those who were raped and murdered.

Hello!
About your question you placed, it is a good question.

The Video Will Be Recorded on a specific time chosen, and will be told what time it will be 1 day before the numbers get chosen. And you can see on my computer time it will be exact.

So I cannot make multiple videos until I get the right number Smiley

I think this is a good idea and while I'm not questioning your integrity, how will anyone be certain you haven't altered the clock on your computer?  Perhaps the draw should be based on something random such as the last byte of the hash of the Bitcoin block that occurs nearest the date and time you will have announced?
6156  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Bitcoin not been confirmed after almost 24 hours? on: April 14, 2017, 12:48:26 PM
none of this really makes sense to me... Sad

Well chomchom, it basically says you can expect to wait at least another 24 blocks (on average each block takes 10 minutes) before your transaction is confirmed (so at least 4 more hours).  I guess the sender of the funds was trying to save some satoshis.  Next time you sell something, maybe you can stipulate that the buyer has to use this chart and attach a fee with a green bar beside it to ensure your transactions are expedited.

Meanwhile, you can try using the accelerator here - https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/
They only allow 100 txs per hour and it's presently beyond the limit.... I just tried to do it for you.  Maybe you can check back in a few minutes and try it yourself?

edit:  Well I see I am suffering from reading comprehension issues this morning.  The chart is still valid - but it would be good for you to check before sending.

BTCBTCBTCBTC Bitcoin Lotto BTCBTCBTCBTC

If you win you get 0.005 BTC
Lotto numbers get taken on april 16th

Pick a number between 1 and 50

A video with a random number generator will be uploaded on Youtube on the day the numbers get taken. So you can see it is not scam.

One Ticket is 0.0001 BTC

What is your contingency for the event that you don't have perfectly even distribution of ticket sales and you have to pay more than you take in?  This isn't so much a lottery as a revenue sharing scheme.  In the long run, money in = money out so who pays the transaction fees? How many times will you record the video before you get the result you want to upload? I doesn't seem like you put much thought into this scam lottery.
6159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Blockchain is slow as molasses on: April 14, 2017, 12:01:25 AM
I just checked back and all my recent transactions using my Blockchain.info wallet dating back to early March of this year use the exact same fee of 120.533 sat/B.  Seems like their software does suck at fee estimation as achow101 has alluded.
6160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / slow transaction on: April 13, 2017, 11:01:20 PM
I've been waiting almost 3 hours for a single confirm on a receive.

Okay.  Did you use the default fee?  Are you also using blockchain.info?
