6141  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Have You Paid Tax On Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2019, 03:10:20 PM
What is your country's policy on taxation on cryptocurrency? Secondly, have you used Bitcoin ATM before? I heard about Bitcoin ATM when they installed them at the Melbourne airport. Please share your experience on BTC ATM and taxation. https://www.cryptoinfowatch.com/irs-looking-at-tax-issues-linked-with-bitcoin/

Our Country hasn't released a taxation policy but depending on the income we are expected to pay 20% to 35%, that is if taxpayer is honest enough to include what he has been making in Crypto trading, I have a job and I still haven't included that in my tax report yet, but once they release a policy, all Crypto holders in our country will be obliged to do this and that includes me and about your question on ATM no I haven't used one yer although we have at least 5 in our city, I am more convenient in using our online local exchange than an ATM..
6142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why only 6.2 percent of American citizens own Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2019, 02:00:29 PM
It's simple, and there are some reasons, but I'll make short

BTC is not so easy to pay to use like a credit card for example, it require a few steps, but not so easy for people who are't into technology
BTC is in the hands of the most rich in US, people with high amounts of money and coins, it's not for the poor

6.2 still good and 7.3 percent were “considering to invest in Bitcoin.” is still good, after the halving that 7.3 can be added to the overall total if that number converts at least 70% of it, it's still good although there is no mentioned of the past surveys, but with that data we are moving forward and it will still go up, but on the percentage we'll know after a year or two.
6143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Counted Or Estimate All Your Losses And.... on: November 17, 2019, 01:02:59 PM
I'm only playing a small amount but I still need a calculator to estimate all I've lost but on a rough estimate, I think I can buy a brand new motorcycle, I have been playing for quite some time now and sometimes I play daily for a week, this is where I am on leave from my work, but I have no regret, whatsoever, you want to have some good time but you have to pay a price.
6144  Economy / Economics / Re: Paypal Drops Pornhub Support, Pornhub Is Now Exploring Cryptocurrency Options on: November 17, 2019, 12:06:00 PM

A PayPal spokesperson told Motherboard: “Following a review, we have discovered that Pornhub has made certain business payments through PayPal without seeking our permission. We have taken action to stop these transactions from occurring.”

I'm surprised that Paypal did not know or discovered this because Pornhub has been online for many years and they have been using Paypal ever since, but it's Paypal lost Porn is a multi-million dollar business, that's hundreds thousands dollar fee

Which coin would fit pornhub's business model the best?

6145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Break You Have On Not Gambling on: November 16, 2019, 06:19:57 PM
I can even go for a year if I want to, gambling is not my life it's a past time and my longest time I was away in gambling if I can remember was 7 months, this is when we have a lot of work in the office and I don't have much time gambling, I tried gambling after works but after that 2 hours I cannot sleep anymore, because of the excitement brought and feel dizzy when I get up to work.
6146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free ATH for everyone who has ETH! on: November 16, 2019, 05:15:35 PM
I think this is a fake announcement of any project that is going to pay free ETH for every ETH holder. By inviting this kind of promotion basically they seek your Ethereum address and a lots of personal data. After getting this and manipulating this data they reach your Ethereum account and steal all of your token and the Ethereum. So, be careful for this kind of participation and if may be legit so evaluate thoroughly.

Very confusing and irresponsible post, how can they manipulate it and steal your tokens by just submitting an address if they are even thinking of asking our address, if it's possible to steal your tokens by just knowing your address, then we have so many addresses of bounty hunters in the every campaign spreadsheets, I have received free coins from some forks and I don't remember giving them my address.
6147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with Fiat or Crypto? on: November 16, 2019, 04:37:43 PM
I go for both, fiat for offline gambling like poker and card games and Cryptocurrency for online gambling sites, fiat and Crypto has their purpose when it comes to gambling, I have a lot of gambler friend who is not yet in to Crypto and we love to play card games and of course they will never accept Cryptocurrency, they want cash or fiat, and when it comes to online I always prefer Crytocurrency, very convenient to use and it's anonymous.
6148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why are you gambling? on: November 16, 2019, 03:45:24 PM
Let's be real, we all hope to win that's why we still try. I hope to win or more of while I'm trying my luck I hope deep inside that I'm really gonna win be it on dice, poker or tong-it's. Though I don't know my earnings doing gambling but mostly I'm in lose. When I'm in lose I just think of it as a payment for fun.

I honestly never look at gain, I'm not interested in gain. I love going to the casino and playing slots, it makes me happy and interesting, but I'm also glad when I take the money, but it doesn't matter. But sometimes I wonder, when I start to get it, that it's just because I'm not putting pressure on myself and not burdening myself with gains because I'm just relaxed.
It's different in my case when you are betting you will either win or lose you are not betting to lose but always find a way to win, I choose to gain and have fun, there are times that I have both on my lucky day and when I'm losing I make sure that I still have fun, we should not take gambling seriously, or you will be depressed and you'll get sick.
6149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not invest based on the "telegram community" on: November 16, 2019, 02:14:35 PM
^ I agree that there's a lot of manipulation going on.

I've also noticed the fake activities on different channels. You can easily notice because most of them do not even have a username and that they usually talk to each other at a certain time. Some hired marketers also call this as "growth hacks". From what I have observed, telegram community with legit members ranges from a few hundreds to 5K with active members around 10 to 100. Even that 5K includes bots and spammers.

Check the services section and you will see there are a lot of services, that offer telegram promotion, and instant members of telegram channel, telegram is very popular among Crypto projects, and it's become a big target of scammers, and those who offer dubious services, that is why I seldom post on channels that I joined because of the projects I've invested and supported, and I always report those channels that added me without my consent.
6150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Gathering Ideas for New Site on: November 15, 2019, 04:56:59 PM
It would be really great if you can introduce some skill based gambling games into crypto market. I have been searching for such games for a long time but unable to find any! For example you can look at 8 ball pool or carrom game. You can even look at games like clash royale! These are all skill based games and widely played across the world. But crypto gambling is not yet available in such games! If you can introduce such games, I am sure it will be a greatly accepted by the crypto gamblers!

That's an innovative idea I think we should have one, I have not encountered a skill-based game like what you've mentioned, but of course, the gambling operator will do a feasibility study if they can do that because they must realize profit also and the majority of gambling sites here are implementing Provably fair if this will be implemented many gamblers will try that features.
6151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Informed is Your Country's Police About Crypto? on: November 15, 2019, 03:37:20 PM
In my country, I see many sites that are Bitcoin ponzi and scams. These thrive because the police put in little effort in tacking them. I like the awareness being created by the Indian police. What is the awareness level of law enforcement about crypto in your country? If All Police Officers are Trained in Crypto... https://www.cryptoinfowatch.com/indian-police-train-officers-on-cryptocurrency/

The police here are not educated about Crypto criminals but on legal matters and implementing the laws, but the citizens in our country who are into Cryptocurrency is very much educated in Ponzi and scam programs, there's still a lot of Ponzi scheme and they are victimizing gullible people, but we have our own SEC and our own cyber bureau to prosecute these scammers.
6152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Prove that you shouldn't rely on icobench and others on: November 15, 2019, 02:23:16 PM
This is a warning to all newbies that seek help from ico rating websites when they are looking for projects to invest money on..

Facts
- You have good money to pay? you will get good rating on the platform, this is the way of ico rating websites
- Good projects can get bad rating on them, and that doesn't mean they are bad project..

For example, you must have been hearing about how successful gowithmi project was right? check out the rating on icobench using the link below.

https://icobench.com/ico/gowithmi

The score is 3.3 where as projects that have better rating turned scam as well, all i am saying is its better to rely more on your own research and not rating.

I become a bounty hunter of one project that has a very high rating IRONX https://icobench.com/ico/ironx it has a very high rating imagine 4.3 but where did investors and bounty hunters get us, we all got scammed here this project is not getting anywhere and they refuse to list their coins to other exchange, and refuse to sell their token to a much lower price.
So you never trust a rating site they are corrupt and when they see the money they will readily give it high rating.

I have seen people here as well as on internet who suggest people to go in Bitcoin whatever they earn from their income sources like Job, Home
That's not recommended especially now that we experienced an all-time high followed by a big dip and those people who bought in the all-time high, sold their coins at a lost, people should think scenario that it could happen again.

So be sure where are you going in future and be realistic with your goals and just execute them. No one will have ever written on his grave that "He earned more than the market average.
Best to proceed is to read a lot and listen to all sides not only the shillers and the FUDSTERs, there are some truth on what they say and some are not.

Excerpts from the article
Quote
Many companies have taken a defiant stance against Bitcoin because of these price fluctuations.
This is the main reason why merchants are having a second thought, and those who do are doing this because of they supporters or doing experiments, but if I am a merchant I will readily accept payment, I will just set up or create a safety net, so even if Bitcoin drops or increase my company is still safe.
6155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction at its Worst! on: November 14, 2019, 01:41:31 PM
I was reading the news this morning and one of the headlines was about a terrible stealing incident involving an alleged gambling addict. The man is an employee of R&L Investments, one of the Philippines' oldest stock brokerage firms. He was able to orchestrate a way to suck at least ₱700-million worth of stocks from the company to support his gambling addiction. This is around 14 million USD, huge enough for the company to decide its closure after 5 decades of operation.[1]

The guy just lost his mind this is an example a chronic gambler went berserk or crazy, he will have to spend the rest of his life in jail with the huger amount or worse people will just liquidate him, because this is company money and there are a lot of shareholders on it, the problem on this one is they delegate everything to one person, they should break it down to several people to avoid this scenario this is a bad business decision that should be avoided.

6156  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 55.com Exchange | Weird Thing | Why? | Does anyone vouch for this exchange? on: November 14, 2019, 12:53:15 PM
I wanted to sale one of the shitcoin which is listed in 55.com; I have known about this exchange just now from CMC.
I signed up and they sent a verification mail where I needed to click "Verify Email" and it forwarded me to the site again (I know you guys know this is common procedure; LOL) but the domain is different this time, it's 55com.io

I registered with this domain.
Code:
https://www.55.com/home

The verification mail I received from the same domain as above.
Code:
no-reply@post.55.com

I have been forwarded to this domain after email verification.
Code:
55com.io/home

Do you guys think it's normal or you guys are thinking the same as me? Any positive or negative reviews?

And the token which I wanted to sale has a price of 55 sats in 55.com whereas Coinbene has 20 sats only...

I don't know the purpose why they should use other domain for verification when they can easily create a subdomain from their main domain, it is questionable, they should address this issue, in case of a hack they can disown that domain, especially since this is an exchange where people are very careful and particular on the name of the domain, this is a bad practice, and they should have a reasonable explanation, for me it's risky, if they have a telegram channel you should ask it.
6157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF] Part 5 on: November 13, 2019, 07:07:14 PM
Hello and what's up fellow users/gamblers!
I hope you had a great weekend!
Another week has come, so let's start all over again.

what if you suddenly see a fellow gambler that has been winning continuously (example Poker)  and it seems like he's unbeatable on that game, would you care to join him so you could also be winning? Or would you like to beat the guy on his game?

We certainly can't deny the fact that we gamblers can be easily influenced by these kind of scenarios.

I'm not good at Poker but I would love to beat him if I could, Poker is a game of luck and skills, there are people who are good at having a lucky game, by playing against him I can get some pointers and if by chance I able to beat I will be proud of myself and people will think I'm very good at Poker, because I bet a guy who has a lot of win to his credit.
6158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Loan app on: November 13, 2019, 05:51:51 PM
So after reading all our replies here OP, are you okay now?
Please never ever think of committing a suicide because you loss money because that's a complete stupidity, believe in yourself and seek help from people that you love and care for you, they will surely gonna help you with your problem.

you are not the only one who has problems in gambling due to addiction, there are a lot of people suffered.

you can check the story here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5200442.msg53045052#msg53045052,... that guy steal and loss 14 million usd, your problem is just too small compared to his.

People differ in how they take depression, he is not good at taking this kind of depression, when in fact it can be solved, these loan applications are actually illegal they charging a very high interest ten times on what the banks are offering and they are harassing people who cannot pay their loan, maybe this is one of the reasons why he is depressed, he cannot take harassment.
6159  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: P4ay.com Any reviews or comments about this site? on: November 13, 2019, 05:29:04 PM
Hello,

I found a website named P4ay.com that buys your bitcoins with paypal. I checked its reputation on scamadviser.com and it is good. Has anyone used or heard something about this site?

Thank you

Don't rely on one website on the site's reputation, use common sense, we all know that Paypal has a chargeback if you are dealing on a website that deals with it, your account will be in trouble, if you are a Paypal holder you will be limited and they can get their money back, they could be trustworthy in a small amount, but different if the amount is big, so better not to do it all.
6160  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What services are Bitcoin in need of? on: November 13, 2019, 04:55:32 PM
Bitcoin has progressed into a thriving currency and has touched almost every industry in some way or another but what services would you like to see accepting Bitcoin? This thread has two reasons for being made first to see what services the Bitcoin users are looking for but also to expose certain services which already exist but the majority of people are not aware of.

Two of the service that I want to see where Bitcoin is being used or adopted, is a marketplace like Alibaba or Amazon and a freelance site like Fiverr if we can have these two things, Bitcoin will finally arrive and will be used by many people, in fact, it can run to millions of Crypto holders using these two websites, there;s been so many attempts in the past, we need big people that can do this for us, since we already have the community to support.
