Hey guys, my name is Thamos and I'm fairly new to Bitcoin. I've been reading up on Bitcoin for like, only, 2/3 weeks now. I was already planning on investing but I wanted to have a bit more knowledge about it all. I guess now I do.
I was just wondering, seeing how Bitcoin's price has increased by a lot over the last couple days, when would be best for me to hop in the pool. Should I buy now or should I wait till the price drops (even if it's only by a small percentage)?
I'm just looking for some advice. Thanks a lot!
Would suggest you to wait. There's a hardfork that will happen in this month and even if it is exoected that its market value will be more expensive, still, there's no assurance that it will happen. Also, its market value is still expensive. It will be a 2ise choice if you 2ill wait for its value to fall or tobl be lo2 even if it will take a period of time for it to happen because its value is cintinuously increasing. The fork is cancelled and the price of bitcoin didn't go down and it is still on the top so i think it is better to just invest in bitcoin right now rather than waiting for a while because if you will invest now then you can have a chance to still earn more money when the market of bitcoin will have a price rally up to 10,000 USD because that is the target price of most of the investors and other experts to reach. |

This is such a huge progress in bitcoin because the atm are keep on increasing rapidly and it means that the people are getting familiarized with bitcoin and i think that is enough to say that bitcoin is becoming popular enough and i hope that more and more countries will get bitcoin atm to spread the word of bitcoin to its citizen.

I don't see bitcoin would be acceptee by bank since bank focuses more on fiat money, they would need to change so many things in their system if they would do that... In my opinion, it's better to use an exchanger that converts bitcoin into fiat money vice versa. Thus, bank wouldn't need to change their systems and the service would be better.
Banks will never accept bitcoin because they are just created for fiat purposes and bitcoin is a different thing compare to fiat currencies so bitcoin has its own way of doing transaction like getting cash in and cash out and so on... Bitcoin is just good for online wallets and other exchanges but the banks will not be included in bitcoin forever. |

The segwit2x is cancelled but the price of bitcoin is still on the top and i think that the effect of cancellation is good for bitcoin and i think that the rally for the price of bitcoin is ready for another bull run and this time we need to be ready for the price to reach from 8,000 - 9,000 USD before this year ends because that is a very easy goal to reach if we will base it on the happenings right now.

Gold in general is no better. The value of gold is nothing more than a result of a global consensus - at the moment everyone agrees to consider gold a measure of value, simply because this measure is in some form or another necessary. If we assume a utopian situation, that tomorrow everyone agrees that gold is not such a measure, then it will be good only for the production of quality wires and trinkets.
The btc is gaining momentum for exactly the same reason - the global consensus towards the btc is constantly being strengthened. In this case, unlike gold, the cue-ball is not only a measure of value, but also a settlement system, and gold is not a competitor for this parameter.
I'm nit sure if Bitcoin is better than Gold IN GENERAL. Gold is still a good investment because it is legal to most of the countries and also, it has a stable market value. Bitcoin may be a better investment and asset than Gold in the future but I doubt that it will replace gold or make Gold no longer be used by people since it's been a part of the market for decades. Bitcoin has a lot of advantages because with bitcoin you can use it to purchase things or use it as a mode of payment while gold is just like an idle object that when you bought it then you cannot do other things but to just keep it on a safe place or keep it while bitcoin opens more chances for you that can help you to grow that amount of bitcoin into a higher amount for faster gathering of profit. |

If you will ask me for the best option here, i will choose to just buy bitcoin and not do mining because mining cost a lot of money and it might help you for mining bitcoin and giving you passive income but the return is bigger if you will just buy bitcoin and trade altcoins in the market since that is the best way to make your bitcoin grow and also your money and not mining bitcoin because it is long to wait and expensive to start.

The only thing that could go wrong in bitcoin is the market, if the correction will come then it will hit hard on us for sure because the price jump is too big and the correction will become big also. I see a lot of optimism about bitcoin, which is understandable seeing the price recently.
But I have to admit I'm a little worried about the long term future of btc.
The major problems if the currency still haven't been dealt with. I see 2 major ones:
-Block size. Which makes the delay and fees of transaction rise very fast. Smaller transactions are more and more difficult to make.
-The centralization of the market. China got low cost electricity, which make them by far the most bitcoin mining capable.
-And maybe others that I'm not aware of.
Another thing: The Hard forks that are oddly getting much more frequent than before. (BCH, BTG, Segwitx2 etc...) It almost looks like "attacks" in order to divide us. Now called "airdrops" by the community. Even though they're supposed to solve some of the problems.
All in all, this makes me really worried about btc future. I've been a strong holder since 2014, and I made quite a lot of money with bitcoins, but I begin to doubt now, even though the price is crushing ATM. Please help me keeping faith. Or should I switch to another currency ? Really thinking about ETH recently.
Transaction fees are going high because of the rising number of transaction on that particular time. Which means more and more miners are needed to compensate this increase and provide lower transaction fees. Hard forks on the other hand really don't affect the coin negatively. Two hard forks was made this years and if you will see the prices it affected the price positively. for me, I really don't care much about the bitcoin transaction fees and I am even thankful to these miners because without them, there will really no integrity to each bitcoin transactions. Well without the big miners from China our deals will be hampered and remember we are just as Bitcoin lovers, whatever happens to Bitcoin in my own future will not care, my most important investment goes well in Bitcoin. about the existence of hardfork also it helps us to add new investment opportunities for us. Without china, the bitcoin has still survived and it is really taking off to the moon without the support of the chinese people and that is the proof that the future of bitcoin is very bright because it can stand on its own feet without the support of the big countries because the support that it is getting from us is more than enough to make a lot of changes in the market of bitcoin. |
