I'm not sure why people think being "Gay" or Bisexual is a new thing or shocked by the amount of people coming out. This has been ongoing for Thousands of years. It's even mentioned in the Bible.

The only reason you are seeing so much is because now people can do it without repercussion. The numbers have always been there. There has been and always will be Sexual diversity.

Let people do as they wish....How does it hurt you or I?   Just my thoughts.
622  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos (operator of Bitcointalk and Bitcoin subreddit) is censoring Bitcoin XT on: August 16, 2015, 09:33:09 PM
Anyone have a Solid learning link for Bitcoin XT? I have been out of the loop for a while and this is all I'm seeing lately so i would love to read a Reliable thread about it Both Pros and Cons since it seems to be such a "Hot" topic.
Thanks!
Unfortunately, I don't think such a thread exists. Whatever I read is mostly political propaganda, while the issue is technical. If you can't handle technical debate (deep technical understanding is required), it might be better to stay away from this hot issue until the dust settles. That's my opinion, take it with a grain of salt.
That's good advice for me....I'm not a Tech guy. I seen the name of the thread and wondered why theymos was being named in the whole censorship thing and got curious.

I'll keep my eye on this thread and do some reading on Google about what the hell XT is lol

Thanks for the Info Roadtrain!

Suicide defies all of Natures basic instinct to survive....When a person wants to commit suicide there is something very wrong and Intervention should be there.

Humans are the only creature on the planet to Defy Natures natural programming....Survival is written in the Very core of every single creature.

We are either Very Gifted from God to overwrite nature or very Flawed....Which is it?

IMO: i Think if a person is having these thoughts they need Intervention and help.

The idea that nature does not have suicide has not really been studied. I could point to aspects of nature that are suicidal but its for a continuation of the species.
But you also mention "God" so I guess Its safe to presume you are working off a ideology from the bible.

The idea that suicide is wrong is from the bible, anyone that is against suicide is usually acting on that premise and may not know it. Its so deep routed like other Christian beliefs people pass it off like it is part of societies rules. Will do some research, recall reading something about suicide becoming a sin due to worry about it spreading. Ugh wish I could recall this!

Create a non-judgmental  haven for people to go to that offers support, medication if needed and at last resort a place to die in a safe comfortable manner.
We would have less people traumatized from seeing people commit suicide and would have a lot less distraught 911 calls that tie up the police. I consider that stance that suicide is wrong to be like the war on drugs,it is not working and its a stale way of thinking.
I'm not saying that people don't have a choice and of course if you are terminal you should be able to avoid suffering. As far as religion goes even if you take it out of the Equasion in nature there are no creatures committing suicide besides Man.

Received a PM from a user and this was the at the top of the MSG is this part of the forum security or something else? Sorry if this has been answered i have been out of the loop for quite a while.  Thanks

!!! WARNING: This user is a newbie. If you are expecting a message from a more veteran member, then this is an imposter !!!

For sure it is a warning message. It is clearly told that the message come to you is from an impostor. He is a newbie and for some reason that only he/she know he had hidden his identity to you. Maybe you wait something from a veteran member (some offer or something else) and the impostor had hide their identity to deceive you.

It doesn't state that they're an imposter at all. It's just a generic message that is applied to all newbies. Could be a completely innocent message from a newb for all we know but the message will be applied any way.
I won't give details or a name but it was "Sales" related and for me this is definitely useful. So simple but extremely Effective. Thanks hilariousandco

If it was an impersonation attempt, you should report it.
Might just prevent somebody else falling into a trap. Smiley
Your post made me take a second look at the PM.   That particular user doesn't have a name that matches any other users. I think he was just a person seeing if i would take the bait or just a newbie that doesn't know any better.  Can't really report his PM he didn't do anything wrong Directly.

Yes, it is automatically applied whenever you receive a PM from a newbie. It is to prevent people from being tricked into thinking they are receiving a PM from a older user when someone creates an account with a similar sounding username. (e.g. theymos vs thejmos)

Wow this is an excellent Idea!! the big red lettering just screamed at me when i first seen the MSG. I'm sure this will deter some schemes. Whoever came up with this.....Thanks!

Damn, sorry I missed this.

For those of you just tuning in, all those bills are SUPREMELY old, and are quite the relic of my youth. Would've been interested in the ones and twos -- haven't seen either of those in almost 20 years.
They are old indeed. Some are from the 1950's  I have other foreign currency also. Quite unique pieces if interested.

Shipped this morning. Put a few extras in the envelope  Wink
633  Economy / Goods / Re: Any Canadians or Travelers? $96 in spendable Canadian Paper currency-$40 on: August 12, 2015, 09:26:15 PM
You should be able to exchange it at some type of bank.  These bills are a few editions old (they were deemed too easy to counterfeit).
He is taking 0% Risk since i'm shipping first.  If you read my above post i explain the whole bank situation.

The lady that sold these to me was in her high 60's early 70's  She doesn't seem to be the counterfeit type.  Cheesy
634  Economy / Goods / Re: Any Canadians or Travelers? $96 in spendable Canadian Paper currency-$40 on: August 12, 2015, 08:43:32 PM
Can you provide me the shipping price ?  Tongue

Or you accept 40$ shipped ?
$40 shipped unless they want some astronomical amount which i doubt.

No precious metal dealers or jewelers in your area that advertise they buy and trade?

Oh yes there are some dealers around here that love to take advantage of people. Sent for a prepaid envelope from cashforgoldusa if no buyers when the envelope comes off it goes to them.

CFG is any better? Have people been leaving Yelp reviews on the dealers saying stuff like "they refused to pay within a few dollars per ozt of spot"? Since you know the weight and purity, you can calculate your spot price.

I know first hand how the dealers are around here. I went to one dealer with some scrap silver looking to trade for some lower grade Morgan silver dollars and the guy asked me with a sarcastic tone "Why would you collect lower grade Morgans" like it was any of his business as to what i prefer. Anyways the deal was lop sided towards his favor and i flat out refused to sell to him.  The price isn't just a few dollars off spot it's an insult.  This is a small area and they prey upon people knowing either take the deal or Drive miles to another dealer.....Population in my town is 12K people

Do you have a bank or credit union account? If they exchange foreign currency upon deposit (especially our neighboring country), their customers'/members' conversion fee should be much less than the $56 you'd be losing here. Mine used to be $10 or less before they discontinued the service. Even a currency exchange should incur less of a fee than $56.

If nowhere else, ask around at Harriman-West Airport (~3 miles away), someone might exchange for you there.

Unfortunately even if I could easily go somewhere with them and say "can you counterfeit check these and if they're real, convert them?", I only have 1 ozt silver bar left and IDK how much silver weight in my silverware.

I use Tdbank which won't accept foreign currency the only  Bank around here that does Foreign Exchange is Bank of America....One located in Albany N.Y. the other Greenfield and you have to be a customer.

Harriman airport is just down the road from me but it's not what you think....It's a tiny airport more for small prop planes,Helicopters etc.
