Proof that google doesn’t give a fuck about anything but money. They are hands down the most advanced software company on the planet, and they aren’t able to quickly research ad companies before allowing them to advertise on their site. They already allowed this once, and not too long after (post having received countless complaints from people that this ad site they were promoting was actually a scammer pretending to be a legit company).  You guys think google might have software capabilities to ping past scams quickly even if they somehow unknowingly (which yeah right) allowed them back on.  I can’t even post a btalk link or write the letters “btalk” on YouTube without them deleting it within minutes. They allow for bot scammers to have fake convos all the f over the place, no problem.  Have google TV and want to share your password ? Impossible thanks to their industry best  GPS tracking software rendering it impossible.. Sickens me that they’ll never receive any sort of fine or punishment for these corrupt and illegal practices.
622  Economy / Collectibles / Re: My Cold Keys Just Got Swiped! All Halving Sets!! on: December 17, 2023, 08:55:42 AM
Could you imagine if like Yogg was on his deathbed or something and needed an operation to pay for it all and the only way to save his own life was to steal all this money from everyone and to never look back? Idk, I know he had health issues. The only thing I can think is that nobody could be this heartless to everyone if they didn't desperately need it. If they didn't and they just stole then they're just an asshole but part of me thinks that there is so much more to this story. I just wish Yogg has the balls the send the last message. Whether it be that he screwed everyone or was desperate I just wish we knew. The truth remains to be seen.

Hey kept the private keys while he should have destroyed them, end of story!

Indeed.  There is enough evidence now I feel to say that this was his plan from the beginning.  Between the closing of his company, tracing the stolen funds to an exchange, him not coming to face the music, keeping all the private keys from the beginning...

This is an example of it being harder to convince someone they've been scammed, then to scam someone.  Yogg was a scammer and he scammed.  He received plenty of help from his "friends" who are now busy thinking of ways to capitalize on the incident to sell more products to the scammed customers.  All I can say is to be careful and don't be the guy who thinks there's more to this story.  You'll be disappointed.  Yogg was a scammer and he scammed.  If you fell for it or considered him a part of your friend group, you were bamboozled and should take a long hard look at that friend group, because if there was any more to this story, it would be that Yogg didn't do this by himself.

"There is enough evidence now I feel to say that this was his plan from the beginning".  I disagree and would argue just the opposite.  If he wanted to do this from the beginning he would have done things a lot differently.  He also would have had a much better system set up for sweeping funds.  He was doing this slowly over the course of hours, and as far as we know just for the halving sets.  He's a Mr Robot type, he would have had a much better system lined up to be able to easily sweep keys quickly, and not just one set of cards, but all of his cards.  As far as we know so far, only the halving sets have been swept.  Sure he didn't fund a lot of other cards, but that's different.

Either way, he's a scammer and it all sickens me.  The betrayal I feel right now is one I don't think I've ever felt.

Ooof.  randomly came across this post of mine which needs correction. OGNasty a page or two ago is right. I’ve told a few people but at this point I know there’s no hope for Yogg making any good so.. I messaged him via the forum and just told him how shocked I was. I was struggling to come to terms with the the potential truth which is in fact he’s just a scamming pos.  I told him to reach out so we could chat. Few hours later and I see a call to my phone from France.  Long story short I ruled out serious mental health issue/breakdown.  He admitted to me that he had built in a “kill switch “ (keep the keys) form day fucking one. I tried several times to get him to send at least what he had made, funded or not..so that people he screwed over could have something. He had absolutely no interest in that. None. Not to mention what hurt most was that he had rot only ruined a friendship but I never got as much as a single sorry. Then a few days later he sweeps more cards (I messaged him on discord to a now defunct account, and begged him not to do it. Told me he was hungry and needed food) which meant he lied to me on the phone about not having any more keys left.  He also told me he hated cryptocurrency stuff, coding etc and has all along.  So yeah, he played us alll, for years. I’m not quite sure even why he called me at all.
.
Anyways..been meaning to share this. Also hoping this drives the “community” to stop dickiing around and come up w/a plan on how to disperse the funds from the charity auction. Personally I’d be pissed off if I was say Kilalara (who’s not said a peep about this) who was not affected by this at all, but out the kindness of his heart donated a valuable collectible… a good while ago now. It was meant to help those whom really needed it, and it’s yet to happen. Suing him is an option that is not even remotely wise. I don’t want anything back to be clear, but if everyone can’t come up with a consensus on what to do ..btc should be sent back to all the donators.  At this point is gotten utterly ridiculous.  Set a date, no consensus, donators refund.
623  Other / Meta / Re: Second chances on: December 17, 2023, 07:09:01 AM
It was a big worry that if the forum started to allow banned members to request and possibly receive an un-ban, that it would then set banned members in to a frenzy and overwhelm the Mods. Theymos, after Hilarious’s thread to discuss changing the rules (which was in large part was in favor for doing so) changed the rules and it didn’t become an overwhelming issue like some thought it would.  Most banned members simply move on or create ban evading new accounts. Didn’t think this would be a ton different, but this thread goes to show the Mods here aren’t evil and non-caring and whatever else people will say towards them when irrationally upset.

Appreciate you and this thread Cyrus!! Hopefully it’ll help a few members whom made dumb mistakes get a second chance.

All of those locations in Chicago are oddly within just a few mns of my old homestead. Kinda odd how they didn’t really spread them out very well. Would have been great for me though lol.

If anyone gets a spare I’ll happily trade ya something of equal or greater value. Ive still got a few of those Fortune mags Crypto vs Wallstreet, which was a fun little hunt that took me days.
625  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SEEKING][ChiBitCTy???] Anyone have contact with ChiBitCTy?! on: December 14, 2023, 11:08:57 AM
I know this turd. My bad, been meaning to check my inbox for a couple days now…

This explains the call I got from FedEx today. I tried calling them back after they left a VM but it’s next to impossible to reach a live person. I tried tricking the system many times but was unsuccessful. Will inbox you in a couple mns. Again, my bad..been meaning to check/get back to those who’ve inboxed me lately.
626  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you still use Banks ? on: December 13, 2023, 04:12:55 PM
Not having a bank account is insane, for most people throughout the world.  Now as a financial advisor, and someone who knows the inner workings of banks very well, I can also say for the most part I absolutely don't trust them.  Now for smaller "mom and pop" type banks, or credit unions, that's a different story.  However the big behemoth types banks such as JP Morgan, Wells Fargo, Bank of America etc, I agree they are most certainly corrupt, and not worth using.  However to totally rid of banks is mostly nonsensical in most part of the earth.  How are you going to get paid by work?  How are you going to make payments to most outlets (most do not accept cryptocurrency)  Where are you going to store your traditional fiat money?  Etc etc..
627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is wiser? on: December 13, 2023, 04:09:21 PM
At the current market condition and having bull run in mind, these persons have $10,000 to invest.

  • Mr. Bob goes 100% with bitcoin.
  • Miss Alice goes 50% bitcoin and 50% random altcoins.
  • Mr. theymos goes with bitcoin but $100 weekly DCA.

This question can not be properly answered unless we know the full financial situation of each person you mentioned here.  There should be an option number 4 that states they don't buy anything, and put the money to better "proper" use.  Perhaps these people have a bit of debt that needs paid off, perhaps they are behind on saving in their traditional investments, such as their 401k plans etc.  Otherwise if I had to choose, I would go with the 3rd option.
628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is fun, watching with bet or without a bet? on: December 13, 2023, 04:06:32 PM
For me it depends on what I'm betting on and how much I'm betting.  Let's say I'm getting ready to watch a Thursday night NFL game and it's sort of a boring game, I may place a bet simply to make the match that much more enjoyable to watch.  If I didn't have any "skin in the game", it would be much less of interest to me.  On the other hand I'll place bets on games that I really want to watch that I sometimes will turn off because the stress is just too much for me.  I try not to fall in to this category, but it happens.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler takes his own life after a loss. on: December 13, 2023, 04:04:30 PM
I hadn't seen this news, I appreciate you sharing it.  I do take a bit of umbrage with your statement "but taking your life is something unimaginable and unjustifiable to do. No matter the regrets suicide isn't an option to be taking as a solution".  I'm not sure that's up to you to judge people like that.  I surely don't think anyone should take their life, but if they so choose, then that is their choice.  It's unlikely in my opinion that this man took his life solely because of the gambling loss.  More than likely he had a lot of other things going on in his life.
630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 13, 2023, 04:01:21 PM
A bunch of games on today including a few mismatches that might be worth tossing into a parlay. First you have the 76ers playing the Pistons, who are struggling bad. Then you have the Pelicans playing the Wizards, also struggling bad… Finally you have the Lakers playing the Spurs. Very likely the Pistons, Spurs, & Wizards will all lose.

I was just looking at the lists of games today, checking spreads and what not trying to decide if I had any interest in betting any of these games.  Typically I bet games that I'm somewhat interested in watching, and really the only game today that I have much interest in is the Lakers versus Spurs game.  I haven't seen much of what's his name on San Antonio yet, plus I know the Lakers are kind of hot right now.  Prob put a few bucks on LA.
631  Economy / Economics / Re: I need financial advice for my careless uncle. on: December 12, 2023, 03:36:32 PM
As others have mentioned, this goes far beyond financial advice.  As a financial advisor I meet with different sorts of clients on a daily basis, but these aren't typically the types of financial situations I find myself in.  I guess the best thing for your uncle to do would be to find financial products that lock up his investment, keeping it from him being able to spend it.  Depending on his age, that could be things such as retirement plans such as IRA's or financial products such as annuities.

Again, I don't think it's financial advice your uncle truly needs help with.
632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The risk and reward of having Bitcoin on: December 12, 2023, 03:33:02 PM
I think it would be prudent to add to the advantage column how it's more sound money that traditional fiat money, how it's blockchain is a breakthrough technology that no other type of similar "platform" had ever had before.  How it's decentralized nature is different (better) than that of our current monetary systems which are all centralized in nature.

I do agree with your main bullet points though, they are pretty spot on.
633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Aspect of Sports Betting or Casino Gambling Posed a Challenge for You? on: December 12, 2023, 03:30:04 PM
Honestly the biggest aspect that was a challenge for me was how to fund the account, and how bitcoin came in and changed the game when it comes to how you do so.  But to answer your questions, I think just learning the basic principals of what covering the spread meant, what the over/under line was, as well as learning about how the money line worked.  It really didn't take much time to learn and I was on my way.
634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 12, 2023, 03:28:06 PM
Man, my Chicago Bulls played another tight game and almost knocked off the Milwaukee Bucks for the second time in a row.  Had that happened, I guess I'd be a bit scared that something spooky is going on lol.  That being said, only losing to the Bucks with Lavine out once again, pretty impressive in my opinion.  They really seems to be on a roll right now that's completely unexpected, I plan to bet that hot hand in the coming days.
635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: December 12, 2023, 03:25:25 PM
Pretty crazy that we've got just two weeks left until the playoffs start.  It's insane how fast the NFL season flies by.

Here's the games I like for tomorrow..

Tampa Bucs +2.5 Falcons   - Just feel like they've been playing well lately.
Detroit Lions -3 Bears-  My Bears suck
Miami Dolphins -13 Titans

There's a few other games I like, but these are the 3 I feel most comfortable with at the moment.

And that's why i can't bet on or against my giants.  If I bet against them they win, if I bet on them they lose.  It's not like this in other sports but never fails with my giants.  With that being said I can't figure out tonight's game even if I would touch it.  The other game I feel like it's a betting trap game but still threw some sheckles on Miami.  They should annihilate tonight.

Yuck, what an ugly selection I picked out there.  How the fck did the Titans beat Miami and my Bears beat Detroit.  I guess it is as you say Wheelz, had I bet on the Bears, no question they'd have lost lol.

Well, after last weeks win I go to 8-6 but it looks like I've been eliminated from the playoffs if I'm not mistaken.  Frustrating as I'm 8-6 in my other big yahoo league and it looks like I'm shit out of luck in that league too.  Is it next year yet??  Cheesy
636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you feeling FOMO like I am? on: December 10, 2023, 11:04:18 PM
I think most of us are having the fear of missing out “bug” at this point in time.  I often have this feeling when Bitcoin is on a ride, but right now it’s very obvious that Bitcoin is on its way to an even bigger breakout than what we’ve seen so far, especially since the announcement of the first Bitcoin ETF hasn’t even been approved yet. When it does, watch out. Stack on !
637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and patience on: December 10, 2023, 01:25:01 AM
Why must everything be about making money? This is one of the biggest problems with the Bitcoin ecosystem in my opinion as people should be much more focused on the inner workings of Bitcoin, how to improve its blockchain transaction speeds etc. I feel if people cared more about those types of aspects, Bitcoin would grow more efficiently.
638  Economy / Economics / Re: Flash Mob Theft -> closure of brick and mortar stores -it's economic impact? on: December 10, 2023, 01:22:18 AM
The OP doesn't explain it all, and that is that these robberies happen mostly and massively in Democratic states that are lenient on crime, critical of police and have lowered penalties for all types of crimes, including these. Take California, for example.

California Democrat frustrated by rising theft admits liberal crime bill was 'big mistake'

As it usually happens, they have made the problem they said they were going to solve bigger.

Lol sounds like we’ve got an angry conservative. The fact of the matter is the most heavily populated places in this country tend to be ran by democrats. But it doesn’t mean this doesn’t happen when ran by Republicans. Just take a look at Chicago before their two most recent mayors as well as ILs last Governor. Still had these issues.  A lot of it also seems to stems from Covid for whatever reason.

As an independent I actually prefer many republican laws over democratic..however I don’t see them making this problem much better as both parties are corrupt as all hell. If you don’t understand that something is wrong with you.
639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 10, 2023, 01:18:35 AM
It has been kind of crazy seeing the Chicago Bulls payout so well without Zach Lavine.  For whatever reason their chemistry just seems to be so much better with him not out there on the floor. I’m not really sure what it is, or if it’s really more so just a coincidence..but it leads me to believe they’ll be pushing it trade Lavine harder than ever. Who’s getting him!?
640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be enough to buy 100 dollars worth of Bitcoin every month? on: December 10, 2023, 01:14:14 AM
Be enough for what? My advice as an advisor would be to make sure you can even afford it first off. Secondly it would likely make the most sense to simply do dollar cost averaging over the course of time. I wouldn’t force yourself to buy bitcoin if you don’t have the necessary funds readily available. Keep in mind bitcoin is not an investment..inherently.
