I haven't had enough time to take a look at the newer Firefox, however I always find I hate the changes made by many different organsations and then you just get used to it. Humans hate change, you'll probably come to like it if you give it a chance. Seems a quick search a few people have raised the point of it becoming complicated? I'll take a look when I get chance.
6202  Other / Off-topic / Re: Fallout 4 on: October 14, 2015, 05:18:46 PM
I'll be upgrading my build too, probably start from scratch. I can't play Fallout for around a month. Due to an expedition in Norway. Avoiding any spoliers is going to be hard. The remaining of this year and early next year is going to be a good few months of gaming for me with Fallout 4, Division, Star wars battlefront and Mount & Blade: Bannerlord coming out.
6203  Other / Off-topic / Re: Fallout 4 on: October 13, 2015, 11:32:55 AM
So many sick notes being handed in on the week it comes out. So many girlfriends/boyfriends lost. But, worth it.

Hey Welsh!

We're looking to have some lines up on the 2015 Rugby World Cup outright winners later tonight. You should be able to check back to the site in an hour or so and see them! If you have other line requests in the future, try reaching out to our support team (email: support@nitrogensports.eu) - they're the quickest at handling these requests.

Happy betting,
Calvin
They're not up yet, hopefully they'll be up before the England match tommorrow. If not, I'll try contacting the support team sometime tommorrow to see whether they will get put up anytime soon. Thanks for the reply regardless.

Seriously though, the live betting at Nitrogen is the best in the BTC world at the moment. Been impressed with the number of soccer and tennis matches/options to choose from.

If you guys add open parlays and more props, especially player props, you would probably be better then fiat books
It's fantastic I agree. I've used NitrogenSports since it pretty much opened, and have continued using it to this day. Normally betting on the football (not american football) & rugby. Normally has good odds bar a few. Haven't got much knowledge about the other sports though.
6205  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: September 16, 2015, 11:25:55 PM
It's pretty shitty being a suck ass newbie. I think I have to wait 1.5 months to become a Junior Member. It's pretty embarrassing tbh seeing so many established members around & here's me with my one gold coin.
Rank means very little around here. In theory users should judge a persons response, by quality and not because they have been here a long time. You'll find a lot of legendary accounts here which aren't what I would call quality posters. All rank means is you registered at a specific time and have met each activity period, which is easy to do.

The only thing which does 'suck' being a newbie, is the waiting times between actions I suppose, although that's completely necessary in my eyes.
6206  Other / New forum software / Re: Ask for bitcoin address while signing up on: September 16, 2015, 10:47:21 PM
I generally support the idea of adding 2 factor authentication, with signing a PGP/Bitcoin address. But, I don't think it shouldn't be forced upon the user when registering. It should be a optional feature. Majority of the users who sign up here are not only new to the forum, but new to cryptocurrency and Bitcoin. Therefore, they may not have a Bitcoin address, even though it's easy to get an address, I'm sure getting an address isn't going to be their main focus.

You've also got to consider, that some members are here to discuss and follow the technology, rather than trade. This has been displayed before when a few users have actually stated that they have no Bitcoin, but like to discuss and learn about Bitcoin. There's probably many reasons that I've not brought up, including the alt coin scene which I'm not going to get into here as you probably get my point by now.
6207  Economy / Gambling / Re: NitrogenSports.eu - BEST SPORTSBOOK - BLACKJACK - POKER - LIVE NFL on: September 16, 2015, 07:11:00 PM
I hate Rugby but it is a good opportunity to make some money gambling & I like money more than most things Grin
Who do you think will win the WC? I'm thinking one of the teams from the Southern Hemisphere, they always seem to be the teams to beat. England look good but I'm thinking New Zealand will do it.
Love rugby, it's my passion. Play it on the weekends, and then watch it after the match in the rugby club. Excellent fun. The obvious one is New Zealand. We know they are going to qualify, they have one of the weakest groups in the competition, I feel a little sorry for whoever gets drawen out with them every single time. Group A, is probably the most difficult. Austrilla, Wales & England are the big teams. Wales have had a lot of injuries to key players. Halfpenny (fullback) has had surgery on his knee, and Rhys Webb (scrumhalf) broke his ankle against Italy on one of the warm up matches. So, England & Austrilla are probably the favorites for anyone, but a Wales supporter. Of course, you can never rule out the pride of the Welsh. (A little bias here of course Tongue)

Group B, I think South Africa, and Samoa will qualify, possibly Scotland if they dig deep enough. Group C, New Zealand and ARGENTINA to qualify. Group D, Ireland & France.

Now, to your question.  Sorry, got a little side tracked there. I think New Zealand are the favorites as they are every year, however they've looked less confident this past year losing against England and lesser teams here and there, so a upset might be on the hands. I personally think, AUSTRALIA, South Africa & Ireland are the ones mainly competing for it. However, Wales beat Ireland twice this past year quite comfortably, and Ireland beating England the first time and then losing the second time around. To be honest, It's going to be a close one. New Zealand if perform up to their standards will win it. If not, Any of these teams could get it: England, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, Wales & France. France haven't been themselves, but you can never rule out the french, they made it to the finals, beating a 14 man Welsh team the competition before.

Short Answer: I think New Zealand. Closely followed by: England, Wales, South Africa, Australia, Ireland & France. Depending on who gets who will determine who will meet in the finals.

You are right though, the group stages should be easy money. Unless, you are betting on group A.

Rugby 2015 world cup kicking off on the 19th. Looking forward to it. Hopefully you'll update the listings with some outright winners (ML) before it starts. Got a few teams which would result in a massive parlay. Hopefully, they'll do me and win for me. If I know my rugby, I should be getting a good profit during this competition. If not, I don't mind losing a little. Just glad the rugby is back on!

If the six nations is anything to go by, I predicted nearly every fixture right. Besides the Wales not beating England, even though I thought it would be between Wales & Ireland winning the six nations.
6209  Other / Meta / Re: Let's stop telling newbies that they can buy an account to join sig campaigns. on: September 15, 2015, 02:24:26 PM
Yeah, I agree with you. But no one really does anything.. In fact I have a feeling the practice is actually encouraged.

Just because there is no rule saying anyone can do this or that around here, doesn't mean they are completely allowed to. Isn't there any rule against doxxing Huh
There's no rule against doxing. Selling/Buying accounts is completely allowed. There's no grey area, it's been stated by multiple sources including staff members that account trading is allowed. Unless, the account trading interferes with another rule, such as ban evasion for example it's completely allowed. Personally, I don't think it's encouraged much either, it's frowned upon by much of the community or at least was.

Quote from: mprep
What about deleting DOXes?
A: Nope, we don't delete them either as long as they are on topic. Why? Because doxing is just compiling information about a user already available publicly, often via search engines
6210  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Core on: September 15, 2015, 02:21:25 PM
Ok, so i am not synced yet (1 year 40 weeks more). But i can see my transaction on blockchain.info already.
Then, you are fine. If you can see the transaction on the network, via blockchain.info or any other explorer, then you have nothing to worry about. Once Bitcoin Core has synced with the network, you will see the incoming transaction.
6211  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Core on: September 15, 2015, 02:17:34 PM
There could be several reaosns why this is happening to you, but regarding the Bitcoin Core:

It takes a while for Bitcoin Core, to sync to the network. The network is quite large now. If you open up Bitcoin Core and look at the bottom when it has opened, it should either show that you've synced with the network, or you are X amount of time away from syncing. This could be years, months, days, hours or minutes. Although, this is highly inaccurate and is just an estimate.

If you are synced, do you mind letting us know what exchange you used, and if you could provide your public address, then we could check whether a transaction has been broadcasted on the network.
6212  Other / Meta / Re: Let's stop telling newbies that they can buy an account to join sig campaigns. on: September 15, 2015, 01:56:24 PM
So can I report such posts which suggests newbies to buy accounts to Mods and hope that they get removed? I think all this account buying/selling does more bad than good and it should atleast not be recommended to newbies.  Undecided
They won't be removed. It's likely, that if a newbie comes here for the sole purpose of earning money through posting, they are going to be spamming, and will be dealt with sooner or later by a staff member. If they aren't spamming, and contributing to discussions and the forum, then I don't see a problem with them purchasing an account for signature campaigns.
6213  Other / Meta / Re: Potential activity on: September 15, 2015, 01:19:28 PM
There are? Where could I find them? Do they charge anything or are they free?
Wow, thanks man, best mod ever!
Here's a price estimator, which includes activity and potential activity: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1142314.0

Unsure, whether it's bug free though. They don't change anything, and this particular one is free. There is another one which is simply just a potential activity calculator which I can't find at the moment.
6214  Other / Meta / Re: Potential activity on: September 15, 2015, 11:53:53 AM
I know that system. I am just curious because of the marketplace selling "Potential activity" accounts
My question was if my activity would increase if I posted 1 post in the 14 period before and the 13 activity left would be carried to the next period.
If not, how come they are selling "Potential activity accounts"

You only need to submit 1 post to gain all 14 activity. However, your post count needs to be equal or higher than the 14 activity to show on your account. Users selling potential activity accounts have post counts which are lesser than their 'potential' activity. So if they have a post count of 14. But, they have posted in two 14 day periods, they have a potential activity of 28. So if that account submitted a total of 28 posts, the activity would go up to 28.

So if I understand your question correctly, then yes. The activity would carry over, but won't show unless you post equal or more than the activity.
6215  Other / Meta / Re: Potential activity on: September 15, 2015, 11:46:56 AM
As stated in the "Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ"  stickied thread:

Quote from: theymos

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every hour.

Quote from: mprep
For example, if in a 14 day period you post 14 posts, you gain +14 activity.
If you post 2 posts in a 14 day period, you gain +2 activity.
If you don't post at all in a 14 day period, you don't gain activity.
However, if you post 15 or more posts in a 14 day period, you still gain only +14 activity.

Congratulations LaudaM!

Hmm isn't it like patroller is lower rank than Mod?
Patrollers deal with new members posts. They don't deal with higher ranked members unless, they are a moderator of a specific section.

6217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever attended a bitcoin meetup? on: September 07, 2015, 09:34:53 PM
I haven't as of yet. However, that's due to the fact many that interest me are in different parts of the world to me. Any near me are still a 3/4 hour trip. Living in the countryside I'm very unlikely to find one within less than 2 hours away, and even if it was that close there won't be many there. The only ones which would be worth attending over here, would probably be London. However, that's over 4 hours away from me.

I do aim to attend one though, despite the travel distance. The travelling isn't too big of a deal, I'm sure many other people travel much further than this. However, I'm normally very busy. Either, working my job 5 days a week with very unpredictable and odd hours, with occasional work on the weekends. Also, private work which keeps me working until 2am some nights and waking up at 4am. It's not fun at all. At some point I'll be in the position to lower my workload and use others to do it for me. But, at the present moment in time, that's not a viable option.

There's been a few in Cardiff, but not many numbers due to the population difference. Although, I haven't been to a Bitcoin 'meet up event' I have met others interested in Bitcoin and discussed in length at times.
6218  Other / Off-topic / Re: Fuck Summer! on: September 01, 2015, 08:51:13 PM
Hopefully, we'll have a bloody good winter this year. A few metre drifts of snow up by us last winter, but nothing compared to the 2010 winter. Hopefully, this year we'll have some good downfall and some nice drifts up the mountains. Brecon is brilliant in the winter, as well as Snowdonia.
6219  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many transactions ? on: August 29, 2015, 04:43:23 PM
Tens of thousands. Although, not from one wallet. I've probably used 100 transactions on one wallet at the most.
6220  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here on: August 07, 2015, 04:23:02 PM
My e-mail got recently hacked and all the accounts associated with it, but i had a signed message here with my personal BTC address, so what are my possibilities to claim back my original BCT account?

All you need to do is follow the instructions in this thread

It may take a while, but theymos should deal with it eventually, if he hasn't replied to you within a week or two, send it again. Make sure you do it right though, he'll probably ignore the message if anything is wrong on it without letting you know.
