6201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your altcoins and tokens TODAY, save yourself the frustration on: November 05, 2019, 12:28:56 PM
And the elephant in the room: 99% of altcoins are total garbage. They're called shitcoins for a reason.

Sell your altcoins and tokens. Take the proceeds in BTC, stick it into a cold wallet, keep some online to play around with Lightning and other things that actually matter for real-life stuff, like being able to buy something. When was the last time you were able to use for example Ethereum for something tangible, not to buy some garbage tokens or to play a game?

Do it today. Your grandkids will thank you.

You summed it all in this thread, I seldom look in the announcement thread anymore to see what's coins are hot now, and also stop checking to see the bounty campaign if there's a good bounty going on right now, but all are just hype, surprised to see that so many bounties are having 4 to 10 months run, hoping to get funded, investors are more looking on the coins in the market, than a new coin which cannot guaranty a good place in the market.
6202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: there are still many who invest in cryptocurrency? on: November 05, 2019, 07:22:22 AM
as we know that in 2017 many ICO were successful (at least reached softcap) and of course the market cap was also very high at the time, so it proves that many people are interested to investing in cryptocurrency, but now where do these investors go? because now the market cap is down and many ICO or IEO are failing (not reaching softcap), are investors no longer interested to investing in cryptocurrency? if yes, where are they investing now? or is there a more profitable investment than investing in cryptocurrency for now?

Once investors will always investors, they are not investing in a new project right now, because of the current situation in the market, any investors will also do that, once the air of doubt has been cleared expect them to return, they are more investing in the top coins in the market, investors like me will not gamble in a project without guaranty of return in the soonest possible way.
6203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is difficult to accept in countries on: November 05, 2019, 06:05:53 AM
at this time we know that the Blockchain is being discussed in large countries. and some time ago the Chinese president was welcome on Blockchain. But what about Bitcoin? there is still a lot of controversy going on. Even the US (SEC) is still rejecting the given bitcoin proposal. while we know. Bitcoin is the first carrier of Blockchain technology for general use. is it because of the basic bitcoin that has an anonymous background? so it is difficult to be accepted by the state. could bitcoin be separated someday? I mean Blockchain will be positively welcomed in the world. while Bitcoin will remain controversial.
share your opinions.

I live in a country where Bitcoin is very much legal and we have a few exchanges here in our country, I think it's more on a country that cannot adopt the technology that is being brought by the blockchain, and another is they want total control and they have very limited control and they will have to do a lot of examination and setting up a system for adoption, just like our government has done and they do not want to bother doing that.
6204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: See a bitcoin/crypto scam site? Don't just ignore it. Report it. on: November 05, 2019, 05:10:28 AM
This could be through scam promotions on Bitcointalk, Reddit, or any other social media sites, or maybe through Google ads, etc. Instead of just completely ignoring it, spend a few seconds reporting the scam site as to hopefully prevent potential victims from falling for these scams. Even if the difference to be made probably is just minuscule, it could make a difference.

Remember, it only takes a few seconds.

It really could make the difference, our scam section is a big help to me so many times, I was wearing the signature and promoting these projects when I saw one trusted member reporting and posting his investigations about the project the investigation is valid , it saves me a lot of time and effort, imagine if it was not posted I could have promote it to people and wasted several months of my time, lost of money to investors and lost of time and efforts to me.
6205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 3000+ Cryptocurrency on Coinmarketcap on: November 05, 2019, 01:30:52 AM
Days back the available number of cryptocurrencies reached 3000+ while the trading pairs have gone above 20750, and today it has got increased to 3025. If the same continues we can expect the number of cryptocurrencies available in the market to be above 3500+

Is this a healthy thing for the growth of cryptocurrency network or is it degrading the value of the system as large number of cryptocurrencies are available with zero trading volume and without any product backing.

We are still in the discovery phase so I think many projects are still going to come in hoping for acceptance in the community, it is the task of investors to support legit projects that will contribute to the growth of blockchain and Cryptocurrency, I have invested in a lot of projects in the past, but they are now dead, because they really don't have usage or their time has not yet come.
6206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO investors are more excited on exchanges than product developments? on: November 04, 2019, 06:18:46 PM
This is the reality nowadays, but I don't know if you agree or not.

As what I have observed since last year, lots of ICO investors are more excited and making some noise when a crypto startup announced that they will be listed in some exchanges.

I have browsed a lot of Telegram groups coming from various ICOs, IEOs and other forms of token sales. When they announce their partnership with a "XXX" company or they have launched their v2.0 of their product, it seems that the community are kind of less impressed and not excited about that.

Last year, there's an ICO where until now, they haven't listed in an exchange as they focused more on product development. It's like almost 2 years and they haven't listed their token yet in exchanges but they only give us a quarterly report on what they're doing with the product. It results for most investors to become impatient and demand their money back or getting listed to exchanges at least.

This is what I've been observing for now, the behavior of most investors who are expecting their returns or gains after the ICO is complete. What do you say guys? Agree with this or not?

2 years of waiting is just too much if I am an investor and they have it in their roadmap and whitepaper, that they are going to list after two years, I would invest my money on Bitcoin and other top coins and not let my money sleep in their project, investors are impatient they want to see value and profit, you are not going to invest on something that is uncertain, they can do partnership but they should to their assignment and their duty to their investors by listing it to at least two exchanges.
6207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KRATSCOIN (KTC) new coin with serial number on: November 04, 2019, 04:21:23 PM
I never thought someone can think a project like this in the cryptocurrency, it's actually a very unique idea, it's a big turn around from anonymity, I don't know if this is going to be supported by the community, because it only serves the government in tracking where the coins are going how many coins one has or have hold, I will follow how this coin will evolve, but I doubt I will support, something that will expose me.
6208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: could it be most project don't succeed? on: November 04, 2019, 03:47:22 PM
Quote
I think earlier 2010 to 2015 there were no scam project even if there's, is just 1% but now is +-50%
Checking my bounty wallet I believe it's much higher could be 70%

Quote
to me this are the interest of those fake project. 1. they want to boost their  facebook page2. they want to boost their twitter page
3. LinkedIn page4. YouTube, ETC

You are right, one of them is LBX a project that paused their ICO, they used their bounty campaign, to increase subscribers to their newsletter and followers on their social media, at least they are sending the latest news about crypto in my inbox.

Quote
Is there no other ways BTT can track and trace such people posting such project the in the forum?
Some members are doing that and reporting in the scam section, but it's not their obligation though

Quote
Is there no way we can run free and fair project in the system without us being scammed or tricked?
This is an open forum, it's a free for all, anyway these scam projects are caught and exposed.

6209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: bounty is still potential on: November 04, 2019, 02:50:14 PM
Since there have been many things and issues that are not good about ico and others, according to many members, the potential has declined drastically, can we all choose which one is the potential or not?

You can always do that if you have knowledge on how to track a good and a bad project, and you can always share to the community about your findings like what other members here are doing, if you find out that the project is a fake one and a potential scam, you can post it in the scam section, and if you found a good project you can also share it in the altcoin discussion, sharing is caring and we need members who can do this.
6210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto-powered social network a trend? on: November 04, 2019, 01:56:29 PM
I noticed that there are quite a number of crypto-powered social media popping out in recent years. I believe the most successful one is Steemit, which most of us can agreed on. There are also other social network platforms like Appics, Uhive and etc. I am curious to know if anyone of you is willing to switch from the daily social network app like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to crypto-powered social network. And if you could, do share your reasons for doing so.

Why not there has been a lot of attempt in the past and some of them have done crowdfunding, we are a growing community, and we need interaction because  we are  already mainstream, maybe we can have something like Facebook and not only forum, I am more than willing to switch because I don't like the so many fake news and fake advertisement and our data being exploited by sites like Facebook.
6211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What's up Guys on: November 04, 2019, 10:47:39 AM
Hello everyone,

I just want to ask you, is bounty still good for now? are you still participate in bounty? or you have something new beside bounty or airdrop?

thank you for everyone who aswer it.
Good day.
I'll go straight to the point, from bad it's now worse, so participate at your own risk,  eight out of ten bounty campaigns are not good anymore there's no guaranteed income anymore in the bounty campaign, even airdrops are not good anymore, but if you will treat these bounty campaigns and airdrops as a sideline and you have a free time and not make this a job then you can participate, who knows you can join a good project.
6212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo vs Kovalev WBO Light Heavyweight Championship on: November 04, 2019, 09:38:42 AM
@bisdak40 - yes, our fellow kababayan Duno fell short on his bid. Perhaps this is a big lessons for him, fight strategy is very wrong, he should have try to play safe in the first round, sort of trying to read Garcia first. But I guess he is really looking for that knock out here.

Bad game plan for Duno's team, like what you've said, they should have used the first few rounds of the fight to feel if he can take the power of Garcia but instead Duno kept coming forward and not throwing that jab. I don't know if Duno could recover after this brutal loss of his young career.

Who do you think guys would be the best next fight for Canelo? Is it Ward or GGG?

Note: will lock this thread in a few hours.

Andre Ward will become a mega-fight if Andre decides to come back, but I don't want him taking to Canelo immediately, a tune-up to prepare the Canelo fight is a good option, Kovalev is a good tune-up fight for Andre Ward, I think Canelo will remain in the heavyweight Division and relinquish the middleweight, there's a lot of money to be made in that division, but the challenge is huge also.
6213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange Listing on: November 03, 2019, 06:10:32 PM
Exchanges are asking for ridiculous amounts for new altcoins listing.

https://bitcoinist.com/binance-listing-2-6-million-fee/

All other top exchanges are asking not less that 500k for listing. Scam exchanges like P2PB2B, coinsbit, youbit and others are asking for 100K. I understand that they are trying to avoid scam projects, but not all projects are scam.

That is insane, because there is no way for a new altcoins developers to afford such amounts for listing.

Can someone recommend me a good exchange with acceptable listing fees? Thanks in advance.

Checking if they are listing a scan projects doesn't need to involve a huge sum of money, they can have people who can screen every project, even if the project is that good but without funding, it will not see the light, they are actually killing good projects, no wonder there are so many exchanges, and big companies want to set up one because there is a huge money to be made here than doing ICO
6214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 1 address wallet on: November 03, 2019, 05:06:31 PM
what I understand, OP is trying to ask about a wallet which provide only one Address to receive multiple transactions. he does not mean more then one Coin (altcoins) but he means more then one transactions. it's a common practice of wallets to change wallet address after every transactions. I think this is where Op is being confused.

to the op. most wallets change your default address after you receive a transaction. but that old address usually still linked with your wallet and you can still use the old address to receive bitcoins.
It doesn't say multiple transactions he asks multiple Crypto
Quote
Does anyone know of a wallet that uses just 1 address to receive multiple crypto?
If he means wallet we have a lot of that, but one address I don't think there is something created like that that will work in all Cryptocurrency, I'm also curious, is this possible, because most coins have different algo and chain, that's an interesting question though.
6215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo vs Kovalev WBO Light Heavyweight Championship on: November 03, 2019, 04:25:43 PM
^^ Exactly, I don't know what the hell Duno is doing on the first round. I would understand that he swing and move left and right, but it became predictable that Ryan Garcia was also to time his movement and hit that massive shot.

Not taking away from Ryan Garcia, but I'm still not sold though, he was just throwing straight left and right here. For Duno, damn, he was calling for Garcia for a long time and this is what he gonna show us?

I also notice that it looks like an easy win for Garcia, Duno is going forward and trying to connect the straight right, and in the interview, Ryan told that he was hit and he felt good and he knew he had the fight, it means he can take his punch, Duno lacks a lot of things in this fight, he has no good lateral movements all he does is to move forward and create a pressure, I wonder where will Duno go after this.
6216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to earn free altcoin ?? on: November 03, 2019, 02:53:20 PM
I have been in the crypto world since a long time but i have not been able to make my portfolio and never earned anything...i dont have much cash that i can buy many different coins....i have only 0.01 btc right now Embarrassed
Please tell me ways if there are any to earn some different types of altcoins to slowly build up my portfolio with some valuable coins...

Do you have something to offer or a skill that you can offer to the community in exchanges for Bitcoin or other altcoins, if not, you have no choice but to do bounty and airdrop, you can join Cryptotalk and you can earn 30000 sats daily for 30 posts, that's not bad if you just want to add more satoshis to your portfolio, and your other choice is to work offline so you can buy coins that you want to HODL.
6217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forget Bitcoin Halving! on: November 03, 2019, 01:52:29 PM
I still go for Bitcoin halving although what you've posted can help the price to surge, we have a history to preserve here and that is price increase every time there's a Bitcoin halving, every good news that's coming can be considered part of the push that will take Bitcoin price to another all-time high, I hope many more good news like this coming, before we the actual day of Bitcoin halving, only those unbeliever will put their money out of the market at the current situation.
6218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo vs Kovalev WBO Light Heavyweight Championship on: November 03, 2019, 01:17:32 PM
Sad to see Kovalev being KO here. I think it was the same right straight that took Amir Khan as well. I'm impressed with Canelo as he was able to carry his power all the way to this division. He really feels comfortable, time for Andre Ward to come out of his retirement and face Canelo here.

And so the hype around Garcia continues, but it's going to be interesting as to how Oscar will set up his next opponent, because there seems to be a rift between the two and it's for real, in my opinion.

Canelo got him I believe before the round 10 it's only a matter of time, there'really much sting to the power of Kovalev with the way he fought we have a good fight if Andre Ward decided to make a come back, but I don't want him back without a tune fight.
And on Garcia Dela Hoya rift I think it's already settled, Ryan sign up another extension of the contract so it's means everything fine now with both of them.
6219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What scares you the most? on: November 02, 2019, 06:29:09 PM
This fun picture got me thinking. https://imgur.com/2GwIL5Y

What are your biggest fear in crypto?
As for me, it's losing my private keys by accident. I know that the risk is minimal, but the thought of it makes me anxious from time to time. Also, I'm afraid that BTC dumps during the transaction.

Waking up one morning and knowing that the whole cryptocurrency market went down to nothing?
Or maybe finding out that all your crypto (or your private keys) was stolen or lost somehow?

By the way, Happy Halloween!
Every one of us here are afraid of losing their private keys, especially if all your precious coins are on that private key, the market can crash down and go up but when you lose your private key you lose everything, so it's important that to not put all your coins in one wallet break it down, to at least 5 wallets and hid each one of them separated from each one, it's like not putting all your eggs in one basket.
6220  Other / Off-topic / Re: Looking for forum posting ? on: November 02, 2019, 04:48:19 PM
Seriously guys?  Roll Eyes  Obviously he's offering to boost your "own" forum not a certain announcement thread within the forum.
Then he should put up an announcement to the forums he thinks need boosting. Does Bitcointalk look like a forum that needs boosting with fake conversations from farmed accounts?
common man. what's wrong with you all? he's not offering Bitcointalk owenrs to post in their forum and boost it. it's a general forum posting service which is common in freelancing specially in fiverr. he's just trying to promote his gig here. this is not a offer for bitcointalk owner. it's a service for everyone who own a forum and want posts in his forum.

don't know what these so called "high ranked" morons think . maybe they think they are the only genius here.

Checking on his feedback on Fiverr I think he is good there are many positive feedback probably from admin of forums but since he posted it here I think he knows about Cryptocurrency, 50 posts on a forum is a good bargain, but it's better that they spread the posts in 3 to 5 days, this is good for those who own a forum and needs activity on it.
