6201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Drop in ICO Price after listing on: May 04, 2019, 03:38:36 PM
I invested and joined as bounty hunter in many ICO which has good concept, experienced team members and also good hype but after listing price drops very much.
I think the best pricing for such coins should be determined by the market unlike having predetermined prices which could be an under or over charge that has a negative effect on market price.

Some of project also not recovering since long time. Any comment.
With crypto prices that dropped in previous months .. this might have affected the development process of their project as capital has dropped below the budgeted.
6202  Economy / Economics / Re: There's nothing more happier than seeing your bitcoin price going up! on: May 03, 2019, 09:22:06 AM
Seeing prices drop from nineteen thousand dollars to a low three thousand and then you have a confidence meltdown which gives you the temptation to pull the plug and leave the crypto scene altogether, but you choose to stick around and hope for the best....few months down the line not much activity happening and then suddenly you visit coinmarketcap which shows you most cryptos are in the green...THE FEELING IS PRICELESS and DOESN'T GET OLD Grin
6203  Economy / Exchanges / Re: scam exchange on: May 02, 2019, 01:02:24 PM
why there is so many scam exchanges across all cryptocurrency with fake volume
AFAIK choosing an exchange is mostly based on volume, so if this fake volume is generated it means new coin owners can also be targeted to list on such sites as its a big factor when wanting to be listed, which maked this an easy way for scammers to cash in.

Another reason could be data harvesting or phishing attempts as most of us traders might want to be with an exchange with high volumes.

6204  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-02-01] Square Cash App Allows All Users to Buy Bitcoin on: May 02, 2019, 09:45:26 AM
Great news for the crypto community as this makes acquiring crypto easy to all and a step closer to  worldwide crypto adoption.

But on the flip side reading the most recent reviews from Google play about the app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.squareup.cash&hl=en i would say proceed with caution, use with small amounts for a start...just to be safe Smiley

*don't abuse the quote button. There is some post that is quote on quote on quote until a massive Egyptian quote pyramid is attain. This is not so soft on the eye and the worst part is after the quoting your reply is unnecessary.

I feel dizzy when I'm reading some replies with a massive amount of quotes, I rather want to read some replies with a few quotes but the sentences have the part that I'm seeking the answers with. Quoting all of the posts doesn't get us anywhere, it will only make the post a bit spammy.

In addiction many of these quotes deviate from the original discussion to start a new one. Even at that, quote over and over again is likely to loose it flavor on the discussion matter and most forum member abuse it purpose. Although many a-times, the causes of these Egyptians pyramid is a a result of post count from forum members who joined or join paid signature campaign. There are many spamming methods adopted by forum members to spam on the forum and quote and re-quote is one of these style. Wonderful tips.
but don't you think this quote over and over again is usually because of the above person going of topic and the only way back is to quote something which needs an answer or ideas and discussions going??

6208  Other / Beginners & Help / PROVE YOUR OWNERSHIP on: April 24, 2019, 11:39:13 PM
I know for a fact that when it comes to proving ownership to a BCT a/c or showing consent as the original owner in the crypto-ecosystem, a signed bitcoin address has always been the answer!

Now that its possible to sign a message from an ethereum address, will this be considered accepted form for proof of ownership?

Can we stake ether addresses as well?

thnx

6210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [GIUDE] HOW TO SIGN MESSAGE WITH ETHEREUM ADDRESS on: April 24, 2019, 05:23:52 PM
Hope this is the correct thread for this

Many of us might be very familiar with signing of a message with our bitcoin addresses, if not follow this guide < https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0 > . Getting back where we were this guide builds on that knowledge and we shall be signing a message with our ethereum addresses this time around.

For our basic format we shall use the basic code
Code:
-----BEGIN ETHEREUM SIGNED MESSAGE-----
<insert message here>
-----BEGIN SIGNATURE-----
<insert address here>
<insert signature here>
-----END ETHEREUM SIGNED MESSAGE-----

To show how this works will use the code below
Code:
-----BEGIN ETHEREUM SIGNED MESSAGE-----
This is < woodie > from bitcointalk.org and today is < 2019.04.24 >
-----BEGIN SIGNATURE-----
0xCE6bACaaA99745ADA0082D0b36207AF0fCf471a1

6211  Other / Off-topic / Re: [GUIDE]TWIENDS.COM - how to get countless followers on Twitter? on: April 20, 2019, 02:44:04 PM
In as much as these services will help to bump the number of followers we have in a faster way, I think they also expose us to fake followers which affects twitter audits for a cleaner account.

If you need countless followers, I would suggest following other twitter users manually...you can use public spreadsheets available on the forum to get real crypto followers and using this method you know who has retained the favor by following back.
6212  Economy / Gambling / Re: SPORTS BOOK RANKINGS ~ COMPLETELY USER GENERATED on: April 20, 2019, 01:03:29 PM
Looking at the OP if this was a popularity contest, rankings for the sports book would be as follows:
1. NitrogenSports (63)
2. Sportsbet.io (47)
3. Cloudbet (35)
4. Fairlay.com (17)
5. Betcoin.ag    (14)
6. 1xbit (12)
7. Bitcoinrush.io (12)

From the look of these rankings it's safe to say popularity does not equate to a better ranking if you compare this list to the OP:Smiley

I have not heard of some of these guys on the above list in a long time I will not add them to my list either.

1. NitrogenSports (3.5) - Reputation very good just needs to increase their coverage  of games
2. 1xbit (3.5) - kind of have everything but needs to work on their reputation
3. Cloudbet (3)- they too need to work on their game coverage
6213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 20, 2019, 04:06:44 AM
For some reason Man City doesn't have the mentality to win a CL title which is the only title that they can't win as they have won every other trophy in England. Man City have a chance to win the treble this season if they can win the Premier League and FA Cup as they have already won the League Cup. Not many teams have achieved this so if they can then I think its an outstanding season for them but they must improve a lot more when it comes to the CL.
Premier league is not end, In this season there are still a few matches left and Man City is now second position after Liverpool. To win that they have to hunt down Liverpool points don't even lose. If not, Liverpool will have a big chance to win the premier league trophy even though the CL trophy. And I think CL matches are more interesting because the big team plays there. it would be better if they get a treble winner with the CL trophy at once.
Remember Man City still has 1 more matches combined than liverpool. If Man City can win all the rest of the matches, then man city will be the champion of premier league in this season BUT, they have 2 big matches, Tottenham and Man United, if Man City got 1 draw or the worst lose from this match, Liverpool chance to win will be more bigger.

Today, Man City will repeat the last match against Tottenham while avenging last defeat also the opportunity to get 3 points and take place at the top
There is no other choice Man City will hunt for the BPL trophy

Man city might have won that game but in the end the battle was lost, and meeting once more within a few days apart I think both teams should be fatigued and I don't expect this to be goals galore like the last match.
This I expect today is fewer goals and a possible draw.
6214  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Life boils down to four bottles. on: April 19, 2019, 10:45:08 PM

At some stage in your life, you just have to rely on bottles to take away your pains that's just the truth, not speaking directly about alcohol this time, but that's what most people use. The image above says it all, I don't have to interpret them one after the other. It's quite interesting watching yourself grow into the person you always wanted to be but again life always has a way of playing it's own trick.

Some people say the cause of the 4th bottle in life is sickness but I say a major contributor is a JOB {journey of borrowing). A close friend of mine is just 8 & the half months into his current job and I have already made used of the (4th) bottle twice already. I feel pity for him but again that's just life happening. Life is too short to live in regret that's why I encourage people to always watch themselves,
Life really does boil down to those/these four bottles and it's interesting how you have interpreted the fourth bottle which also fits in well.

And if went one step further and related the 4th bottle to a life cycle then this could be related to sickness....or basically running your last mile. I guess in the end life is just to short after all.

which bottle are you on?.
Third bottle I guess
6215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Binance Chain a treat to Ethereum? on: April 19, 2019, 10:03:31 PM
It is no longer news that Binance is launching their own chain on the 23rd of April, 2019. All BNB holders can convert their ERC 20 to Binance Chain and MITH has announce to be the first to migrate to Binance Chain and pumped 60% overnight. Is Binance Chain decentralized or semi-decentrilized considering that they will be in control of their chain network. With the lack of smart contract, are they really pulling any challenge to ETH? Well. If the purpose is for crowdfunding and the possibility of getting listed, BNB might receive a lot of attention. In my own opinion, Binance Team is setting the pace for other exchanges and they are doing really well.
What BINANCE CHAIN, didn't see this one coming. The confirms binance is definitely sealing the deal of becoming the biggest exchange worldwide with all these supporting services and they are already seen to be the best, just hope they won't monopolize the crypto economy.
6216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: which dice site is better ? on: April 19, 2019, 09:55:14 PM
I can only access three gambling dice sites primedice,999dice,betking.which one of these is best & why?
I would go for prime dice because they have been in the casino business for quite a long time and no scam reports have gone unsolved.

Which makes them the best from the given options.
6217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Definition of Winning in Gambling on: April 19, 2019, 08:26:20 PM
This is my result in searching the meaning of “Winning”

Quote
Definition of winning (Entry 1 of 2)
1 : the act of one that wins : VICTORY

From: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/winning

How would you know that you have really one? Is it just one game? Only one chance where you get the W or the L? Is that already the Victory that is defined or Defeat when you lose?

This came into my thoughts when I read somewhere here in BTCT that when are you going to stop? And a lot of people have suggested that they will stop when they have already won. It got me thinking, how would be a Win?

There could be a lot of factors on when someone is going to stop. It probably depends on what type of person you are but seeing everyone has their own opinions, you could share everything here.
One thing I have come to agree with is that in gambling we have more people chasing their loses than actual winners. So saying that one will stop when they win hints addiction is likely to be the result

Quote
We are in a fast paced world where people would want to have instant income basically instant gratification. Could that be a win already? What is the motivation knowing that you are continue to win and lose when you gamble.
I wouldn't say this is a win because if money comes in easily then for sure it will go faster than it came! So this isn't a win at all.

Quote
What is the TRUE meaning of ”Winning” in gambling for you? Is it successful profits or satisfied game even if you lose?
For me winning is having more wins than loses, or basically having grown your bank roll from its initial:)
6218  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Mark Zuckerberg wants no privacy on: April 19, 2019, 01:10:15 PM
https://medium.com/elixxir/why-mark-zuckerberg-wants-no-privacy-why-he-wrote-his-letter-and-why-it-wont-help-him-c020e434ce36

According to a recent open letter on privacy, Mark Zuckerberg wants us to believehe can combine WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram platforms with “end-to-end” encryption to create the ultimate privacy-protecting platform.

thoughts? what does this mean for society?
Easier said than done and combining all these platforms might be a bad idea because users might not like this which means lost revenue, a drop in users and possibly more legal work to be done to protect user data.
6219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India declines Bitcoin Legalization Again on: April 19, 2019, 01:00:46 PM
As bad as we want crypto to be legalized everywhere, I think in this case  the government is avoiding underselling itself or drafting crypto regulations which will see them shooting themselves in the foot, maybe they need more time to learn about this financial instrument/ technology.
6220  Other / Meta / Re: [TIPS] to avoid plagiarism on: April 19, 2019, 10:54:43 AM
And to be doubly sure that you are posting original content or if you aren't sure about whether your post would constitute plagiarism, it helps to run them through plagiarism checkers (free):
1. Grammarly (https://www.grammarly.com/plagiarism-checker)
2. Small SEO tools (https://smallseotools.com/plagiarism-checker/)

They aren't 100% accurate so don't rely entirely on them. If you know you ripped something off, best to just quote the source rather than risk getting caught.

Another tool that is popular for checking plagiarism is called copyscape. However, it is a paid tool.
What are the odds that someone could be posting something plagiarized if it's coming from one's head???

TBH these checkers could only be used plagiarist if one is trying to beat the plagiarism checkers possibly after word spinning! JUST MY HONEST OPINION
