6221  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to handle tough times in cryptocurrency? on: January 14, 2019, 07:02:27 PM
As trader, that does not mean we must always actively make sell and buy orders. Sometimes we also have to wait for the right time to return to the trading platform again. So, to overcome the tough times, we can do other activities, entertainment things will be better.
It's imppossible to do anything when we're actually losing just as you have said and the reason is because we have no effect on the price of cryptocurrencies and also based on its unpredictable nature
And since we cannot change a falling price and revert our loss, its best to adopt strategies that reduce such loses, such as the stop loss technique and investing with a small amount of money
6222  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: failure to gain profit on: January 14, 2019, 06:58:50 PM
There ar  different strategies in trading, and no exact one is sure of complete success, you have to put a whole lot of effort to day trade as you are want to do and probably you're not putting in enough effort and required experience.
It's best you try another form or trade, prbably hodling as it'll not require any necessary skill, but just basically storing coins up in your wallet for a long time, and note to invest with capital you can afford to lose as you can't win all the time
6223  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The forum is more knowledgeable than you could Imagine on: January 14, 2019, 06:43:41 PM
but it is however underused these days.
It is mostly underused for two major reasons and one is cause of the complex nature of the discussions that go on in there, and most threads are hard to comprehend for a large number of users, thus it's best to stay away than make a fool of oneself with off-topic reply
Another reason is cos the board hardly allows for ads on it and since more than eighty percent of users are on a signature, they are hardly afforded the opportunity to converse in there
6224  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I find special bounties that pay in eth or btc ? on: January 14, 2019, 06:35:33 PM
There are a whole lot of bounties that pay in BTC, and you can find them in the "how to earn bitcoins thread"  in the beginners and help section
Buy the thing is that most or all of them accept high rank, from full member up and very few accept the member rank
And you're in none of the ranks mentioned,so the best thing for you to do is to forget about the bounties for now and try to rank up by making beneficial posts on the forum
6225  Other / Meta / Re: Trollonomics: My observation on troll. on: January 14, 2019, 06:16:04 PM
Grade two is rather rampant on the forum and most of the reasons is because they came in with the mindset that every cryptocurrency users should not be trusted, hence they tend to take every information skeptically which should not be so in every single situation.
There are some situations were users lacks knowledge and should therefore allow him or herself to be educated by the forum(forum member), without taking things personal and hence trolling
6226  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just wonder'n? on: January 14, 2019, 06:03:41 PM
I don't think, neither did I notice that the amount of high ranked members on a signature actually dropped, its still difficult to see any user without a paid signature on, it all depends on the way and manner in which such users go about it.
Definitely we all have issues to handle in real life and definitely no one spends all day on the forum as there are other real life issues to be taken care of
6227  Other / Meta / Re: New DT algo - why 100 earned merits?? and not objective metric Activity or Rank? on: January 12, 2019, 06:01:34 PM
Being an "elder statesman" in here doesn't guarantee trust, yeah,i get where you're coming from as you're trying to say that like longevity should come ahead of merits in determining trust

Merits to me sounds more reasonable as its a reward for valid contribution to the forum and on its own also may not be a valid tool to determine trust, its not possible for a system to be totally agreeable to all and sundry,as definitely negatives could be forked out from every decision.

So in such cases as this the administrator is left with making a decision, between various options, valid ones, it's best to respect it,if it doesn't work/fails,then a better proposition could be put forward with reasons as to why it may better the standing one
6228  Economy / Reputation / Re: Being Part Of The League on: January 12, 2019, 08:07:26 AM
Grin Despite on what happened last week (being robbed)
I think everyone missed this sad part  Sad
Hope you didn't lose much valuables
Anyways this is a worthy way to get over your loss in that aspect, congratulations on being a self made full member.

Definitely it takes hard work and determination to move from member to full member rank, thats about a large sum of 90merits,but you've made it and still looking forward

Congratulations mate and happy birthday in advance.
6229  Other / Meta / Re: Please stop make new topic regarding "DT" complain until Monday. on: January 10, 2019, 08:50:22 PM
This is a pressing issue that needs to be addressed and I do not see any reason why threads on it should be stopped till "Monday"
If anyone has any worthy complaints or threads regarding DT lists, they sure are free to air their views open mindedly,as long as they do it in the appropriate section

There are more than enough unnecessary threads that needs to be stopped, and yours happens to be one of them
6230  Other / Meta / Re: Escrows and forgotten sections on: January 10, 2019, 07:41:26 AM
You cannot compel one or decide for them which escrow service they should trust and use, lest you do that and the transaction goes awry, they come back to blame the forum
It's your decision to choose an escrow in your trade, the forum only just provides that option to make it safer and keep users safe from scam escrows,it doesn't mean we'll get them to use it by compulsion
And just so you know no escrow service is to be 100% trusted, you still need a tiny bit of sceptism when using such services
6231  Other / Meta / Re: DT list - Should we use all information available to ensure peoples safety here? on: January 10, 2019, 07:25:12 AM
definitely a DT position is a very sensitive one and should be handled with relative care, considering the fact that it's their duty to warn others about a users personality in here,if they indeed should be trusted or otherwise
That way,you definitely cannot also be on the wrong side of the forum(a scammer) and be given the power or mantle to supposedly judge others,it would not make any sense to me
In my opinion a DT member must have an untainted reputation on the forum, and everyone should be able to trust their judgement, other than that they should be blacklisted
6232  Other / Meta / Re: Congratulations to Minerjones on: January 10, 2019, 07:02:30 AM
Congratulations mj
In the world of anonymity and regular scams it's actually a thing of honor to be found worthy of being trusted even with a million box Grin
6233  Other / Meta / Re: Ban appeal: 2 year old personal account/translator. Feeling bad/ashamed of this on: January 10, 2019, 06:53:28 AM
I hate to bring this up again, but the PM that the banned user gets really ought to contain at least one example of the plagiarism offense so they don't waste people's time playing ignorant and/or demanding proof
But we're both well aware that it won't stop ban appeal threads right, whether there's an indicator to the plagiarised posts,a message stating why they've been banned or even flat out proof of numerous offences.
Just for the sake of it,they would still make threads about it,either it was a mistake and they should be forgiven etc, either way, nothing has been solved as we'll still be getting the ban appeals.
The only advantage would be that we wouldn't have to go through the strenous task of rummaging through their post history to see why they've actually been banned,it's actually not an easy task to do,and since the mods are the first ones privy to the reported plagiarised content,it should be easier for them to include it,valid suggestion.
So it could help a bit.
6234  Economy / Reputation / Re: Post Here to Vote to Remove Lauda from BTCTalk on: January 10, 2019, 06:45:56 AM
Why don't you take it one step at a time in the right direction, red trusts are removable, either from the user who tagged you,or another DT member countering it with a positive.
But I doubt anyone with his or her right senses would leap to your defense even if you were correct, just with the way you're going about it.
Theymos has been instrumental in making sure this forum is habitable for everyone, calling him names, even though it doesn't really matter, isn't a right way to present your case
Bring out evidence of what you said, and it's implications so the community could deliberate on it, and probably something could be done
Vulgar words don't solve issues.
6235  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Do You Think 2019 Will Be Different? on: January 07, 2019, 07:16:48 AM
I have that believe that bitcoin will do well this year so am buying more bitcoin
We all believe same, but we still have to be cautious when purchasing more coins at this moment, for now(beginning of 2019),the market is yet to take shape nor any specific trend,so before I go all out in increasing my portfolio, ill be studying the price very closely,so as to avoid buying at the wrong time
And remember to always buy with a little amount of money
6236  Other / Meta / Re: Attention Theymos: This is a sMerit holdup! Hands in the air! on: January 07, 2019, 06:58:41 AM
It will be a golden opportunity for creative newbie members to earn merits through their lucrative posts.I really think if our forum most valuable members have got the right to give enough amount of merits for a good post than we will possibly see many more great posts and activities from newbies in future.
Newbies have always been afforded the opportunity to earn merits unhindered, the more reason why it's the ones who put their heart to it and try to communicate on the forum who eventually find it a stroll in the park to rank up.
And I do not think merits should be the major incentive for one to come up with great posts
With or without merits, this forum would exist, thus with or without it,users should be obliged to treat the forum like HOME.
6237  Other / Meta / Re: Who really owns this forum? on: January 06, 2019, 05:48:10 PM
Who really owns this forum? - The bounty spammers. Smiley
Lol,considering they may actually be the vast majority in the forum, you actually could be correct Grin
To the OP:No one actually owns the forum, since users like yourself are allowed to have accounts and spam the shit out of the forum.
Do you think if we had a staunch ruler, king, prince, president, owner etc, you'll be allowed in here to ask us such questions as this  Grin Huh,you'll be fired/kicked out immediately.
6238  Other / Meta / Re: Another 3 new account spamming 1 Thread on: January 06, 2019, 04:55:33 PM
My opinion is that such bounty campaigns should be banned and sent to the ban. They only bring rubbish to our forum.
There are no such rules against such bounty campaigns, but there are rules against spam replies on such threads especially when it adds nothing to the credibility of the ann topic, thats why such threads are usually reported and the replies deleted and most times the accounts perpetrating them are either nuked or banned.
But this days such occurrence happens at a larger scale and mods most times miss them
I think more stronger action needs to be implemented in issues such as this
6239  Other / Meta / Re: Is account recovery feasible? on: January 06, 2019, 01:27:10 PM
If you can demonstrate it was just a lazy error with no financial gain and you were helping by providing information for someone there is a chance.
As far as I know, the rules have not changed, and whether it's laziness, for no financial gain, being drunk, or providing information etc, as long as its plagiarism/copy/pasting it's a straight up ban and it's permanent and nothing can be done about it
It's best if you quit raising the OP's hopes, at least until theymos changes something about banned accounts which I doubt he'll do anytime soon

If you're providing information that's not yours for others to learn, you can also indicate to others who's the original author of the info
6240  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It is not your fault that you are loosing in trading! on: January 06, 2019, 09:32:36 AM
If you are trader you need to promote your coin that you have to up the value if you sell your coins you lose your money too and other will be affected and they will lose their money also because they affected on the dumping price.
How do you promote a coin you're hodling?,and what form of trade does this your analysis relate to,if you're a long term trader you buy coins with the intention of selling later, whie short term traders move coins in and out stacking up little profits most times,i do not see how one can promote a coin.
I think only when whales/people who own large assets either sell or buy that the price and value of a coin could be affected,if you own a less significant amount, your sale wouldn't change much
