^MichaelBliss did, and i tend to agree with him.  IRL no one would "invest" on an exchange where *ALL* the listings are trading below initial offer price.  So this gotta be Walla Walla Washington.
6222  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: July 12, 2014, 04:09:28 PM
... In the real world, no ceo would talk to some random rude kid, just because the kid demands it...

1.  IRL CEO don't solicit money from "random rude kid[ s]."
2.  IRL CEO have PR people to field the questions of "random rude kid[ s]."

TL;DR:  This ain't IRL.

... Especially its not a problem when you can go bankrupt personally. Then the family would be plain stupid to put money into it.

You know what else is plain stupid?  Expecting restitution from a d00d who threatens to declare bankruptcy when asked to repay the money he owes you.

^Lol, I'm not SELLING YOU anything.  And of course I know what his name is.  World's greatest band evar wrote a song about him, enjoy!

I am the one who can raise the hairs on the necks of innocent men
I come from Toledo, but now I live in Davenport
One of the quad cities, if you know where that is
I have a JOB to do, and I do it well
I have a job to do, and I do it well
I've been called Lucifer
I've been called Satan
But my name is Richard, and YOU can call me Dick

I've got a job to do
I work at the bank
I foreclose on delinquent loans
I am the one who can send shivers down the backs of innocent men
I have a job to do, and I do it well
Last week we took the farm of some deadbeat farmer
He killed off all of his cattle before we could auction them off
Let me tell you
That sort of thing really pisses me off

Well I've been called Lucifer
Yes, I've been called Satan
But my name is Richard, and you can call me Dick
I've got a job to do, and I do it well
All over this tri-state area

Also, welcome back to the threes!

What am I missing here!?

Probably the same shit you missed here:

For the last few weeks I have been doing some in-depth checks into CoinReturn and its founders.  Here is a brief summary of my findings and observations for the benefit of the community:

Negative Points

  • Introductory blurb states that the company is registered in Cyprus, however this is not the case.  I asked the the CoinReturn team about this and they said that while this was the original idea, they changed their minds on this after seeking legal opinion.
  • We have yet to see the delayed stream of trade history as mentioned in the company introduction

Positive Points

  • The Coinreturn team are fairly communicative and continue to be up-front and open about the operations of the company
  • The fund has been operating for over 3 months
  • There has never been a missed dividend without notice or good reason (eg; CS wallets being down)
  • CoinReturn is not promising loss-free operation
  • The company is open about losses when they occur, often providing details of exactly what happened
  • Returns appear to be realistic and consistent with market conditions at the time
  • The company is taking a realistic cut of the profits
  • I have seen some behind the scenes trading history, which all seems to be legitimate
  • There is currently a stop on further share issues until 2015.  This is a strong indicator that they are not a Ponzi operation
  • The team are actively concerned about loosing contact with shareholders (in the event of CS shutting down) and have a plan in place to mitigate this risk
  • I have sighted an official ID for Tom, including address of residence

I don't want to go into my general opinion of CoinReturn in this post as I'd rather keep it as neutral as possible and leave the conclusion up to the reader.  However...

Disclosure:  I am a shareholder in CoinReturn.

Smiley

I also don't believe that this is a scam.  I have been back over all my info & history of messages etc with CR and if it's a scam, it's the weirdest one I've ever seen...

Of course you don't think it's a scam--if you did, you wouldn't be "invested" in it, or ...would you?  I'm yet to hear an honest "I thought it was probably a scam, but greed got the better of me."

6227  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (1GH/S per Unit) on: July 12, 2014, 12:00:58 PM
^Hi, doing this over coffee, so I could be off, but a couple of niggling corrections:

1.  I think you left off a zero on the price, should be .0008?

2.  The sum total of dividends per share is unlikely to start decreasing, as it does in your chart...

...if my assumption that Havelock has no mechanism for distributing negative dividends is correct.  It is, of course, far from certainty--Havelock's own charts suggest that it is, indeed, possible for shareholders to owe it money:

6228  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (15GH/S per Unit) on: July 11, 2014, 09:54:15 PM

Maybe cryptx/petamine will morph into something more akin to cex. Have their own site to allow to trading of ghs between investors.
I have had a funny feeling for quite awhile that management at cex is keeping the price inflated, if petamine were to become a competitor of sorts to cex it would definitely even the playing field and if/when cryptx solves the bitfury p2pool issue, which has been solved by others, it could mean a mass migration to p2pool as well.

Check out /marketplace/service announcements/.  Pretty much everything there is now riffing on the "cloud mining" theme.

[wall-of-denial]

And this is how Bitcoin became both a nursery for budding con artists and a rest home for over-the-hill scams.
No matter how pathetic a con, no matter how laughably inept the execution, no mater how long ago it got burnt down IRL--the local wizards of finance will surely "invest."

Typical example from "Cryptostocks Project Review" thread, posted by a typical Bitcoin investor:
Now that everything is back to normal for now, I feel we can get back to project reviews. The most impressive Security right now in terms of dividend returns is RETURN. They are some great traders and know that business well translating into ~30% gains per month. Their 2nd IPO went fast and all shareholders are pleased w/ the div payments every other day.

Yeah, you guessed it, the "great traders" [predictably] vanished with the coin, the "shares" are worthless.
Some d00d going by SamboNZ, who pimped this "investment" and claimed to have full dox on the issuer, finally posts a blurry ID with with a sorrowful
...So, that pretty much clinches it then; this license is a fake and is proof that this was a scam from the start.
...

SebastianJu, SamboNZ--interchangeable.  Every con has them--either in on scam. or just rock-stupid rubes who shouldn't be handling sharp objects, much less vouching for issuers and handing out financial and legal advice.

Agree that both COINFARM and RETURN appear to be only real legitimate stocks on CS at the moment. ...

RETURN?  As in CoinReturn, ticker RETURN?  I'm afraid the "issuer[ s]" ran away, much to the chagrin of their "investors."  For hearty, guileless lel, please see the official thread, where a d00d going by SamboNZ offers to "help" the "shareholders" by "hiring" a private dick to track down the evildoers:

Classic!
... I am hoping that a number of shareholders would be willing to chip in and help me pay for this. ...

Edit:  Sorry, didn't realize you were quoting Chef.  The last firm he was enthusiastic about was Kyle the Camwhore, who spent Chef's coin on hookers (nah.  that would'a made him legit, so he didn't), blow and JD.

Iam really surprised how much were people investing into loan that was pretty much fixed to fiat.

@Casco:  If I was forced to make odds, i'd say 20% chance SamboNZ is "Thomas Mica," 50% chance he's complicit in the scheme, leaving a possibility that he's uninvolved in any way.
If he is not, and is over the age of twelve?  He's simply uneducable.
Either way, you're wasting your time.

Hello Friend!

I am SEC agent first class, and would love to help you and your private investigator friend track down Mr. Thomas Mica.  Unfortunately, our databases are indexed only by licence number expiration dates, not age, full name, or address.  We just never thought it would ever be useful.   Hindsight, amirite?  Our "Search National Database" feature is no help either.  It's about as crippled as the search box on your Bitcointalk, so we's stumped.

Our esteemed NSA colleagues are just as much at a loss as we are, with former director Keith Alexander going on record with "I'm twelve years old and what is this?"

Now if we had his driver's licence expiration date...

Sincerely yours,

Your American Friend Smiley

P.S:  SamboNZ, if you're not a part of this scam, do your parents know what you post on teh interwebs?

Pretty much bump, but with a helpful clue for SamboNZ and his pet private eye.
From coinreturn.me:

"Who are you guys? Tom Mica, Jeff Lombard, and Tony Dewitt. We are three friends ... We are not saying we live in the U.S. but we have all visited Tacoma, Washington and found it to be lovely."

Lol, not giving name when asked--hallmark of transparency, very confidence! Cheesy

BTW, didn't you rage at me once for questioning the integrity of Mr. Kenneth Slaughter, the CEO of Active Mining, your other sterling investment?
How's that going, all good?

Man, you're not even a good troll.  Now you're just making stuff up!  Wow, you must be some depressed hobo with no life to be grasping at straws.  I've never been pro AMC.  But you keep guessing.  Maybe something will stick.

Sorry, you intrepid investors all start blending together.  But hey, no need for me to grasp.  To show you there are no hard feelings, I'll send you a personalized condolences gif when you lose a sufficient portion of your coin to this investment.  You're down anywhere from 18 to 40 percent thus far, at what point would you like your gif?  50%?  75?  90?  Just name it and I'll be glad to accommodate Smiley

Edit:  Ohai Kushedout, any luck tracking down Mr. Labcoin?  Perhaps if you raised your bounty a bit...

What can be simpler than giving the full name of your asset issuer?  This is not a game.  Again, what is his name?

His name is in the history of the thread.  I know it.  His email is as well.  You can look it up.  I'm not doing your work for you.

My facebook, twitter and linkedin profiles have also been posted several times. Along with links to the Ohio SOS pages, my real estate license data from the Ohio div RE. Much of this information also can be found several places on the havelock listing agreement/prospectus.

How many times can the two of you fail at answering a simple question?  Your full name can't possibly be longer than all the typing the two of you did to avoid posting it.

Now act like an adult and type "My name is ______ ______."
