6221  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I've got $20k to invest. Please recommend! on: March 25, 2016, 05:52:48 AM
ether cloud mining maybe will give you big profit dude.

this is double wrong!
cloud mining has always been a bad idea no matter where you do it. the services are either scam ponzis or will give you the smallest amount of profit after deducting maintenance fee.
on top of that ether is a risky investment, it is not like bitcoin to have an stability it can be dumped hard and you lose a lot of money because of the price decline.
6222  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoins safe? on: March 25, 2016, 05:46:25 AM
if you are looking for security in a sense that you don't lose the bitcoin itself then you are in luck because there are ways to secure the coins that nobody can touch (like a paper wallet).

but if you are looking for something to put your money in and be sure that it is safe in a sense that its value is going to stay the same or go up then it is not that safe to do it because the price is a risky business but the risk these days is not that high.
6223  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10k???? on: March 25, 2016, 05:40:16 AM
i don't agree with $10K price theory for bitcoin ever, not even in the future that the adoption rate is much higher than these days. so i would have to say $10k for 2016 is impossible.
even if there is a rise in 2016 the most it can reach is $1000
6224  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price settling at $420. on: March 25, 2016, 05:30:05 AM
OP is right, price is really settling around $420, and it seems like the price would just be playing around it or lower...Two months from now there will be a significant price increase...After a few months, I think we will be back to this price and most probably we'll be playing around $420 and up..

from the time of OP until now the price has gone down to <$400 and backup again.

but anyways i feel like history is repeating itself. i remember $230 was the same thing going on and there was a very short moment that price went below and the rise up to 230 again and then after a couple of months it started going up to 300 and same story and now 400 and same story?

6226  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm not gonna sell any coin. on: March 24, 2016, 08:51:39 AM
As you see, the Bitcoin is crashing and trying to break a new low until it stop.
But I won't sell any Bitcoin at this time, I believe it will rise again as it always do. Smiley

and that is really smart thing to do, not matter how price low will ever be, you shouldn't ever sell your bitcoins, only when price will be pretty high like 1000$ then you cna sell and be happy with money, but don't sell for small price

you can always check the history. see the charts and speculations they are publicly available with nothing to hide since it is the past history.
these crashes have been normal, and happen all the time in every market (bigger in bitcoin since it is smaller market) but it always comes back and continues on the track.
6227  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2016 Bitcoin Predictions on: March 24, 2016, 08:20:50 AM
Here are my Bitcoin price predictions:
1. BTC stable at around $400-$500 for the next few months.

i agree with this. the price is going to be stable around $410-420 for a longer time, probably 3 more months.

Quote
2. 40-50% spike for block halving hype.

i think the spike is going to be much bigger than than. probably from $700-1000

Quote
3. Retracement back down to $400-$500 level.

depending on how big the bubble is, going back is going to take a long time and i don't think it will come back to $400 level. the next low is going to be at least $500

Quote
4. Slow rise to $700 per BTC once weak hands are out.

obviously, since bitcoin is growing everyday.
6228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Percentage of addresses used on: March 24, 2016, 08:14:02 AM
to my knowledge there is no way of knowing this unless you can parse the whole >7GB of blockchain and look for addresses that have been used.

there are some charts on blockchain.info that might interest you but nothing about what you want:
https://blockchain.info/charts/n-unique-addresses : unique addresses per day
https://blockchain.info/charts/my-wallet-n-users : number of BC.I wallets (not addresses) created it is 6.5 mil
6229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Africa's Largest Online Marketplace Bidorbuy Adds Bitcoin Payments on: March 24, 2016, 08:07:55 AM
waiting to see amazon accepting bitcoins, they have the largest user base in literally every country they are in , they must start accepting bitcoin ,if so it will be the biggest achievement in the history of bitcoin i guess

sure with the tiny block limit we have know, somethign like this will make the block 100% full, and i'm talking about all the block

the transaction made on amaazon are huge each day, you can not sustain it witht he current network possibilities

yeah, that sucks and i hope this gets fixed sooner than later. i think it is one of the big things that is keeping bitcoin back these days.

but also it can be avoided by using an offchain service like Coinbase or any similar service that don't use transaction on blockchain in addition to accepting bitcoin directly.
6230  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My Dogs & My Car! on: March 24, 2016, 08:03:19 AM
another all in story!!
i sometimes wonder if there really is someone stupid enough to sell everything he owns, even takes loans to invest in a risky think like bitcoin.
the return can be good (like OP if a true story) but also there is a big possibility of loss and the more you have the more loss and stress you have to endure.

Yes people do it all the time, some make a fortune and some loose it all. Wall st is full of people like this.

and that is why we saw a a lot of them go broke and go into depression.
and also lets not forget the 29 wall street crash that let to the famous jumpers.
6231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin the future of online gambling? on: March 24, 2016, 07:57:46 AM
it surely is. especially in some countries like US that there are legal issues with gambling, bitcoin will be the best option to do it online and anonymous to avoind any legal problems.
Most of the gambling site don't accept users from us, but with bitcoin us users can use vpn and play on any gambling site without any problems.

But you have to pay for VPN, most people don't want to pay to gamble beyond the money they want to gamble with, that would be a problem. Maybe they could use Tor and hope that the nodes arent banned on the sites, a lot of Bitcoin gambling sites can be used with Tor and it works if you are blocked due country restriction.

you can always use TOR for free and i don't think these sites ban TOR
besides buying a VPN is not going to cost you that much, they are rather cheap you can use it for a lot of stuff like downloading torrent or simply staying anonymous.
6232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale Soccer Betting System on: March 24, 2016, 07:41:43 AM
martingale is psychologically satisfying. you feel like you are "beating the system". but in reality, you are always in a -EV situation since every bet is raked by the house.

it is not just psychological, it is working in reality but you will need a very big bankroll for that.
martingale is a way of making sure that in case of success in your next bet, you make up for all the losses hence the increasing bet amount on each loss.
6233  Economy / Gambling / Re: From faucet to smoething? on: March 24, 2016, 07:38:04 AM
the only people that i saw could benefit from using faucets on dice sites are those who are called faucet farmers, and i am still not sure how they do it but i think it is done with multiple accounts and they bet on each account and send the amount won to only one account to cash out.
6234  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to start trading on: March 24, 2016, 07:36:00 AM
If you want to start trading, start with local bitcoins (localbitcoins.com) and hopefully you can find someone in your area that you can sell bitcoins to.  Do small amounts first.  Also, learn about the buyer's side by buying small amounts first.

If there is nobody local, then find a reputable online buyer/seller and buy/sell via cash-deposit to a bank.  It is the least risky.

Once you get a handle on local trades, I would then consider joining an exchange.  There are so many to choose from, and it depends if you are from the U.S. or from Europe.  I know people who have had luck with Gemini, Circle, and itbit.  For Europe: bitstamp and btc-e seem to be the best.

But take it slowly.  It can be rough out there and there are scammers around every corner.

Good luck!

but i think trading on localbitcoins is harder for someone who wants to start trading because first of all you will need reputation to be able to trade more and also the worst part is the scams that can happen while using their services.
6235  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many "halving" threads will there be before we get to the halving? on: March 24, 2016, 07:31:01 AM
the closer we get to the halving the more threads we are going to see. and it almost doesn't matter if the price moves or not.
if it stays the same they are going to be about when it starts and why it hasn't yet.
and if it goes up, there are going to be about how high it is going to be and (like last time) 10K here we come Cheesy

also don't forget about the spam bots calling bitcoin ponzi lol

6237  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: March 24, 2016, 07:20:27 AM
2000btc thats the amount of btc i need to retire in 20 years, with that amount i can live a happy life and never enter  to bitcoin again.
agree I think the 2000 BTC is enough to be able to live happily in retirement age later. if you've got the 2000 BTC. you just sit and relax. hopefully bitcoin prices always go up

this is the worst idea ever. not only in bitcoin but also investing in anything like this.
2000BTC is approximately worth 800,000 USD at the current price of ~$400 and you are suggesting to put that much money in bitcoin and sit back and relax! not to mention all the risks.

with that kind of money you can start a very good business and earn a very good amount of money each day through that with minimal risk.
6238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Enormous ways to earning Bitcoin on: March 24, 2016, 07:12:09 AM
I myself know several types of ways of earning bitcoin. The best type in which you will either win big or lose a lot is gambling and dice games where you put in a certain amount of bitcoin and you get what the lottery gives out.

how is that the best way of earning bitcoin? have you ever been successful in making a serious money (as profit) through gambling? and i don't mean one time big win and thousands of little loss adding up to be more than your win

You can watch porn and get bitcoin and they pay decent amount of money.

6239  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC would be even more valuable if some things are solved on: March 24, 2016, 07:07:29 AM
i agree. although i think bitcoin price can go even to $1000 because of the halving effect on investors. the rise is going to be just a temporary bubble and end as fast too. but this doesn't require any problems to be solved.

besides all these debates are just creating negative hype and FUD, there is no serious problem that can keep bitcoin back.
6240  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to collect BTC ?? on: March 24, 2016, 07:04:32 AM
i am learning new things to earn bitcoin, but i could not find a single concrete reply explaining these things in detail  . i would like to learn about trading with bitcoin

what exactly do you want to learn about earning with bitcoin that is not explained here?

also trading is not something that can be explained in one comment here. you have to use google to find some resources to learn the basics and the rest is just experience.
