6221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRX deposit on: October 11, 2019, 08:31:00 PM
You can deposit TRX on metamask as an erc20 token but if its already on the main net it won't work.

About swapping there is no feature on metamask that you can just swap TRX to mainnet.

Better read this one of the following guides below on how to swap TRX.

- Guide To Swap Tron (TRX) to Mainnet
- How to prepare for the TRX to swaps with Binance

This means that you can securely unlock/ recover your private key with just passwords.

How does it work?

You mean you can just recover your private key only with a password without email or something to receive the private key?

If that's the case our wallet is at risk if we use that wallet. Because they can easily manipulate and brute force your wallet and generate a large number of passwords and retrieve all of your private keys from the website database.

So for me, I'm not satisfied with this kind of recovery method to get the private key because it is not secured anyone can put any random password to get the private key. They should required email or any contact for recovering the private keys.

6223  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Help me find Bitcoin Affiliate programs on: October 09, 2019, 11:21:54 PM
There are many affiliate programs it seems that the link from cryptalker is not a full list

Check this one below I currently registered on them and use their referral program to earn $1 per referral.
- earn.com

Also, check this massive list of affiliate program and I think you can be satisfied with this list.

They do require additional verification in some cases, which they don't clearly specify what that means and what the exact threshold is, or whether its based on suspicious activity or not, so before using them I would assume that you have to submit ID and whatnot. It's a financial institution at the end of the day, so they have to comply with all the rules/policies.

Considering that OP isn't keen on walking himself through a KYC procedure, it probably won't be a proper alternative.

Yeah, it requires a KYC but you don't need to wait for more than a week to be verified since he is looking for a quick way alternative. I suggested it because you don't need to wait longer for KYC verification based on my experience I'm verified within a day after submitting all the requirements.

But if he is looking for no KYC then the suggested by squatter is the best option.

How about looking for someone near who can sell crypto? We have a section here and I think there are some users there who can offer meetups or buying crypto(As P2P).

@Astargath

Check the Bisq it seems they don't require a KYC verification it is a P2P Fiat Bitcoin exchange.

The only problem for this you need to install their clients and if you experienced some issues like "the software blocked by the AV" just whitelist the Bisq clients.

Just recently found this when searching on the forum it seems interesting p2p client.
This might be their official thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4509053.0
6225  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Turn Old Phones Into Cold Storage Crypto Wallets on: October 08, 2019, 11:42:23 PM
I've never heard of it before so it must be a new app. I think the idea is nice and can be helpful for those who can't afford to buy a hardwallet and have only a small amount to store. however I don't think is going to ideal solution because phones are heavily and no would carry two phones instead of just buying a small device like ledger nano and have a piece of mind.
There is another app the same as this wallet mention by OP they have two wallets called airgap vault and airgap wallet which is the online one and the offline one as cold Storage.

Based on my experience they are just like the same as a hardware wallet but the differences you don't need to connect your other mobile phone to your offline wallet compared to a hardware wallet that you need to connect it directly to PC.
I have two phones both of them are Samsung the new one and the old one(No wifi already because I destroy the mac with Z3X to make sure no wifi)
Until now I use them as a wallet for some coins because they currently support few altcoins.

So I think this is good and much safer than a phone with internet connection and good if you don't have extra budget to buy a hardware wallet.
Never heard any issue yet about airgap wallets this is much safer. I don't know about the wallet from the first-page post I never heard of them too.
6226  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: more that 3 hashboard on S9 on: October 08, 2019, 10:32:03 PM
It seems that you are trying everything.

The soldered part you are talking about on the back the control board is for RX, TX, ETC... so I think with or without soldered they should be fine.

Where did you get the resistors? is it from another control board? if you put a random resistor there is a possibility that the control board may damage.

I tried to search about adding hashboard for antminer s9 in the whole night but no success. I already used any keyword but no result.

Try to go directly on Braiins OS official thread and maybe the author or other Braiins OS users will give some tips to link more hashboard. Here is the official thread below.

If you are living in the US or in the Philippines you can try Abra they have step by step guide on how to transfer your Bitcoin to your Bank account.

Read this "How do I withdraw from my wallet using a bank? US"

They only support two countries to withdraw Bitcoin into fiat.
6228  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: more that 3 hashboard on S9 on: October 07, 2019, 02:18:54 PM
I never heard someone success adding more hashboard in s9 they are only run at 3 hashboards.

Did you try to flash it with Braiins OS? If not try it and maybe it may detect another hashboard.

You can download the OS from here including the documentation from here: https://braiins-os.org/
6229  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Creating a new Binance account just for the sake of getting the new discount on: October 06, 2019, 11:51:40 PM
This won't work on blogging if you have a blog already index on Google, Bing, Baidu, or any search engine according to their terms am I right?

So, you can only invite friends but not new visitors from a website or blog site?

So, you can only promote the referral link by sharing it through FB, Twitter or any social media accounts.

The interesting part is they are giving a 40% rate if you invite a friend who can hold 500+ BNB which is too big but since they are legit why not, no exchanges can give this rate.

Don't need to make new accounts if you are going to promote referral they just count it as one and if they detected multiple accounts it will end up cancel all of your kickback's.

Better read more about their old rules that they include from their new referral program upgrade here "Updates to the Binance Referral Program"

For me, it will hard to find someone to invite without advertising but with social media, you can promote it without a problem just make sure to follow their rules carefully.
6230  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: BTCPay Server and missing transactions. Help! on: October 06, 2019, 10:50:34 PM

Actually, if you follow their guide carefully on how to make a wallet for BTCpayserver you will not experience this issue because they added this if how much gap limit you need to put. If you have a big merchant shop you need to increase the gap 500 above.

Look at this how they make an Electrum wallet for BTCserver: Electrum Wallet Setup for BTCpayserver

I suggest you read their docs carefully so that you won't experience any issues.
6231  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: M3 Configuration on: October 06, 2019, 08:54:42 PM
Try to flash the miner using SD card.

I found whatsminer m3 documentation from their support/help page and they have some guides of creating SD card recovery.

I don't know what is the whatsminer m3 control board model name but it looks like an H3 control board if not ZYNQ control board.

Check this guide "Make SD card flasher/upgrader"

Check this for images/firmware: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/12MQqtbh1jNu20zBdxWYra4OdddnxQGvw

You can also check the documentation to other lists of how to flash the miner but the only thing that I know will work is flashing the miner with SD card.
6232  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Braiins OS: open-source mining firmware [S9, T1]. New release includes AsicBoost on: October 06, 2019, 08:35:10 PM
No, it won't work and they are not compatible.

They only supported these types of miners "Antminer S9, S9i, S9j and Dragon Mint T1 with G19 or G29 control board"
6233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Lost btc in change address, any help please? on: October 04, 2019, 11:56:29 PM
How about trying to use older version of Bitcoin core? Do you remember if what version of Bitcoin core you use before or do you remember when you install the Bitcoin core Legacy wallet?

If you have an idea to the exact date or near try to find the old version of Bitcoin core from here https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/releases?after=v0.8.5 You can check the date on the left side.

After that install it(Make sure they are separate with the new HD wallet and Bitcoin core legacy) and import the backup again.

Then check the addresses and look for change addresses. You can use blockchain.com to check change addresses if they have a balance.

Let see if you can find the change address where your Bitcoin is saved. If ever you are lucky to find the address where your BTC is saved start export the private key of the change address and import it to your HD wallet.
6234  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Braiins OS: open-source mining firmware [S9, T1]. New release includes AsicBoost on: October 04, 2019, 11:28:28 PM
so just flashed braiins os , i can ssh in but cant get to the web interface,

What browser you are using?

Try to clean the browser's history and cache or use incognito to test if you can access the WebGUI.

Also, try to hard reset the control board follow this guide below.

- While the control board is on hold IPreporter for 15 secs then release.
- It will automatically restart.
- After that test it again.

Update here if it doesn't work.
6235  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Binance still around? on: October 04, 2019, 10:47:46 PM
Maybe you heard about banning US in binance that is why you are thinking that they are going to shutdown but they are just forcing US traders to a new domain which is binance.us for different regulation compared to binance.com.

They also have binance.je so if you are planning to trade with binance make sure to check those domains if where you belong. If you are not living in the US and UK/Europe use binance.com instead.
6236  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: M3 Configuration on: October 04, 2019, 09:51:43 PM
Try other browser first or use incognito mode or try to clear browser history and cache and then access the IP again then login with root.

If it doesn't work keep trying to reset the miner check this guide below.

- Hold the reset button 3-5 seconds
- Wait for Green and Red light flickering
- Release the reset button and wait for 5 to 10 minutes to reboot.

6237  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: set_pic_voltage: ERROR! failed on Chain on: October 04, 2019, 09:37:08 PM
Thanks for your reply, will double check the PSU, two of the hash boards are working as you can see from the pic below

[~snip~]

The one hashboard is missing mostly on S9 miner it sometimes solves the issue by downgrading or flashing with the latest firmware.
But the problem the S9 SE miner only have one firmware.

Try to flash it through webGUI you can download the firmware from here Antminer-S9 SE-user-OM-201909181551-sig_4034.tar.gz

Then test it again if it doesn't work you need to send the miner back to Bitmain. Since the miner still under warranty am I right? If yes just contact the support they can fix this issue or replace the hashboard.

Contact page can be found here https://www.bitmain.com/contact
6238  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: set_pic_voltage: ERROR! failed on Chain on: October 03, 2019, 08:51:05 PM
Can you give more details about the miner if what happens after you receive this error?
Is it still mining or the miner keeps restarting and not hashing or low hashing?
Can you put the screenshot of the miner status here?

It seems that this is related to power issues or maybe some parts of the hashboard(dsPIC) got burnt. Two of your hashboard have the same error the first and the 3rd one.

Try to replace the PSU with working one and check the power terminal and maybe it has full of dirt/rust clean it with thinner might solve the problem.
6239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: newbie here/ no bitcoins despite confirmations on: October 02, 2019, 11:27:58 PM
If you are using Electrum 3.3.4 to 3.3.8 you might be having some connection issue.

Check this image below.

You can find it at the bottom right if it is red it means the server you choose is not online you need to click the circle and set it to "select server automatically"
But if it shows green and shows no transaction history possible you use a different wallet or you sent bitcoin to a wrong BTC address.

Try to check the File>Recently Open and maybe you accidentally created or use another wallet from your Electrum.
6240  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paycent reviews on: October 02, 2019, 10:57:47 PM
Interesting but the problem they have lots of bad reviews from their apps from here below.
---> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.texcent.paycent&hl=en

So I think much better to move on and use other Debit cards.
