6222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 17, 2019, 04:37:05 PM
Now it's official - Atletico bought Kieran Trippier for 25 millions. Not expected move, we will see Englishman in Atletico after 95 years break. And it's very rare thing when English player moves to La Liga.

What a day for Newcastle fans, they just lost 0-4 against Wolves in a friendly, and Steve Bruce is officially the new manager[1]. Yikes!

LOL, RIP Newcastle...
6223  Other / Meta / Re: Account "kenzawak" compromised again on: July 17, 2019, 11:29:31 AM
It's worrying thing to read, especially because your account got compromised not for the first time. You should pay more attention to security. I hope that hacker didn't stolen your money from exchanges. You should enable 2FA on all exchanges and email - it's must do thing. Also, you should set strong and unique passwords on every website thst you're using. And also it would be good to use separate emails for financial things like exchanges and another one just for Bitcointalk.
6224  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: So Coinbase & Blockchain.info were the first web-hosted wallet? on: July 16, 2019, 11:15:15 PM
Good question. I tried to make little reasearch, but seems there is not much information available about early Bitcoin wallets.
From what I read, Mybitcoin.com was probably first Bitcoin web wallet. Now news website hosted under this domain, I'm wondering does it have any relstions with original owners of MyBitcoin website.
Bitcoinica was trading platform, rather than web wallet.
And I didn't knew that Coinbase is so old service, working since 2012. I thought they started in 2013 or 2014.
And if Wiki don't lie, Blockchain.info (now Blockchain.com) launched their service in August 2011.
6225  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Free IPTV from 2 servers about 22000 channels and 5999 channels on: July 16, 2019, 10:57:07 PM
Please don't use clickbait titles, because you're not offering free IPTV, it's just free test.
Where I can see list of channels? 22000 is huge and not realistic number of channels. I would predict that your playlist is full of not working channels, probably there is also many movies tv series on demand instead of live tv channels. And why to use these fake numbers on your website? 10k clients, 67k free trials, 200 servers... It just doesn't looks real...
6226  Other / Meta / Re: is it possible to hide the bitcointalk advertisement?! on: July 16, 2019, 02:46:54 PM
Open your profile, click on Forum Profile Information and you will see option to disable ads:

Disable ads:
Please don't do this unless you really need to. The forum's ads are not very annoying!
6227  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: revealing e-mail might be dangerous on: July 15, 2019, 11:20:59 PM
Well, I keep my email on Bitcointalk profile not hidden (and I don't know why). But obviously, it's not my main email, I created this address just for crypto things. I use it for all less important registrations. But fact thst my email address is public means that's spammed seriously - it's full of ads, scams and phishing links. But I don't care about it. I wouldn't never keep my email or phone number in public.
If your mail provider doesn't delete your account if you are inactive for a long period of time, that might not harm. But as far as I know some mail providers are deleting them after a defined time of inactivity like gmx and the same mail address which has been used before is available for a new person. If you are still registered somewhere, that could lead to account hacks if the person is a scammer and tries to reset passwords by using "reset via mail".

But I don't know if mail.ru is doing the same. I think satoshi had a mail from gmx and that was a problem.  Cheesy
Well, I'm still checking this email quite often, so there is no risk thst they may delete my account for inactivity. But probably I should at least change my Bitcointalk email because I'm not feeling 100% safe with this provider.
6228  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Erdogan Dangerous for Global Peace? on: July 15, 2019, 11:13:10 PM
I don't think that Erdogan is dangerous for global peace, but yeah, he is dangerous. It's just crazy to see NATO member buying missile systems from Russia. It looks that Turkey don't have future in NATO if they will continue these things. But I don't think that Erdogan is dangerous globally, he is mainly dangerous for Turkey. Authoritarian regime of Erdogan is destroying decomacracy step by step. But we can see little positive things in Turkey. For example, candidate from opposition party was elected as mayor of Istanbul - it's quite big thing and warning to Erdogan.

6230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: International Champions Cup 2019 - Discussion thread on: July 15, 2019, 10:40:20 PM
I'm going to watch some games. But probably we will see most clubs playing with young players because teams are only starting pre-season and their main stars got more time to rest. And this year there are less teams, we won't see clubs like Liverpol, Man City, Barcelona or Borussia playing there
This tournament sounds new to me. How does a team qualify here? Or is it just through invitation by tournament organizers? I wonder why FC Barcelona is not in the mix.
Clubs are invited to this tournament. Barca played previous few years, but this time they chose to travel to Japan.
6231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Megan Rapinoe given 300/1 odds to win the 2020 presidential election on: July 15, 2019, 10:29:41 PM
Well, Rapinoe is interesting personality and she become very popular in US after winning World Cup and criticizing Trump. She is doing good things by fighting for women rights and asking to invest more money into women football. But winning presidental election is a good joke. Bookmakers always like to add some random people to political events, and very often they have nothing with politics. I remember Kanye West also was among candidates to become US presidents. Basically, it's free money for bookmakers because they always will find people betting on these famous people.
6232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2019 betting [ODDS UPDATED] on: July 15, 2019, 10:16:59 PM
Who thinks race or color will play a factor in the selection of the BBC SPOTY 2019? I mean, you know, Asher Smith and Sterling are both of color. Do you think these sports figures will have less chance?
I don't think that race or skin color is a factor there. I don't see any reasons why Asher Smith, Raheem Sterling or Lewis Hamilton may have less chance to win. Especially when BBC SPOTY was previously won by dark skinned people like Hamilton or Sr. Mo Farah.
BTW, There is new favorite according to sportsbooks to win this award, it's Ben Stokes. Well, I haven't heard his name before...
6233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Please stop betting with 1xBET scam! You have been warned. on: July 14, 2019, 11:17:31 PM
This bookmaker probably spending tons of money for advertising. I see their ads everywhere - in football games they are official sponsors of Seria A, La Liga and African Cup of Nations (money doesn't smell, yeah?) Internet is also full of their ads. But I've never used it. I always knew that's shady bookmaker and it would be best to avoid it. Probably I've never seen positive review about this website.
6234  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do high-paying campaigns pose a threat to the community? on: July 14, 2019, 11:09:00 PM
I don't see any relation between high paying campaigns and possible threats to community. If you want, you easily can find good and bad examples between both high and low paying campaigns. One of your examples - Yobit wasn't even high paying campaign. In 2015 when they started and Bitcoin was below $500 it was average paying campaign. They just never changed their rates until this year. Another example is Stake.com campaign. It was one of the lowest and one of the worst signature campaigns on Bitcointalk recently. So, I think that payments rates isn't main thing. Management and what kind of website/service is advertised is most important thing.

6236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 14, 2019, 10:29:04 PM
It was another good race to watch, Hamilton was lucky today because he got free pitstop when safety car was released while Bottas had already changed tyres. And another time we saw how Vettel failed under pressure - it already become common. Now Leclerc just 3 points behind and I wouldn't be surprised if he will finnish above Vettel at end of this season. Despite that Gasly lost position to Leclerc, I think it was good race for him. Red Bull spowly are getting closer to Ferrari in constructors championship.
6237  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [BEWARE] Facebook Fake/Scam Giveaways! on: July 14, 2019, 12:03:02 PM
We saw such scam attempts on Twitter for years, so it's not something new, now they just moved to Facebook. It's not very difficult to spot fake profile - usually their name is a bit different from original psge, like in image we see CoinDésk, when it should be Coindesk. Also, fake profile have small number of likes and not many posts on their profile. But all these fake shill profiles of people who are telling that they got BTC from giveaway makes impression that everything is legit here and this is why people are falling into this scam. But giveaways which ask to deposit money is the most obvious scams.
6238  Economy / Reputation / Re: game-protect gone mad on: July 13, 2019, 10:35:18 PM
Game-protect gone mad? I thought he always been mad...
Seems that he already edited trust feedbacks that he left recently. But border was crossed already and it reflected on his trust page. Damn, he is even more annoying than trolls like TAA and he is doing more harm for our forum by damaging reputation of legitimate casinos and reputable forum members.
6239  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advise to Newbies looking to join bounties on: July 13, 2019, 10:21:54 PM
From what I had read, I've got impression that it's not worth to join bounties anymore. I'm not saying that all bounties are scam, but unfortunately majority of them is. Yeah, there are some legit bounties, but it's also not worth time in my opinion. To be sure that project is legit you will have to spend lot of time by making reasearch about project. And fact that project is legit don't gusrantee that bounty will be successful - at the you still might get only peanuts.
6240  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Forum User Security ? on: July 13, 2019, 10:11:24 PM
It's always fun to read people requesting to add KYC on Bitcointalk. C'mon, people here value their privacy and I don't see any strong reasons to implement KYC. Maybe KYC would solve multi account problem, but bounty abusers isn't forum problem, it's not even forbidden to have multiple accounts. Ok, maybe it would reduce number of scammers, but don't you think that scammers will bypass KYC with fake documents. And did you considered how many legit users would leave if KYC would be added?
And another thing, who would be responsible for keeping KYC data of hundreds thousands forum users? What if this database will be hacked? Holding such big database of KYC documents would be big headache for theymos. And I don't see how such thing would increase forum users security. It would have only opposite effect.
