No matter how good any altcoin, it still can not overtake bitcoin. Bitcoin technology is unique, and most importantly, it already has a huge trust from investors. Therefore, it will be very difficult to shift it.
Bitcoin still is expensive and valuable than other altcoins. No one can replace bitcoin because it is the foundation of all crypto which make it to be the important ones. Many functions of bitcoin is unique where even create new altcoin, it never over takes what bitcoin achieve. Also many are believe in the existence of bitcoin and its potential. Right.Although lot of altcoins are already entering the crypto world,but surely only few of them have potentials and the rest are only shitcoins.People have already build their trust into bitcoin so no matter what happens,they will surely get stuck into bitcoin. |

How do I feel about my first payment, wow sincerely speaking it was amazing it was like a dream come true, I didn't really believe it until I received the money in my account, that gives me the courage and zeal to put more effort into crypto currency

all projects are good and there is no specific way to know the good or bad of a project. one of the ways that I know about and discuss with my friends is to visit the website and roadmap of the project.
I agree.You have to do your own research with the project,check its whitepaper,the team behind the project and the purpose of the project.If you see the potential of a project,then for sure it's a legit one. |

I see a lot of people that are hoarding 100% of their bitcoins, because they believe cutting off the supply, would be enough to increase the price. <mostly speculators> Would it not be better, if we increased the demand by increasing Bitcoin awareness and convincing more merchants to offer Bitcoin payments? A 100% hoarding strategy is more harmful, because it cancels all the good work that was done to get merchants to accept Bitcoin as a payment option. A merchant will stop accepting Bitcoin, if their is no demand or transactions being generated for their business from the Bitcoin payment side. We should actively encourage local merchants to start accepting bitcoins and then we should start supporting them. <No matter how low the price is> Just buy back the bitcoins that you spend and you will be fine or use money that you would not have hoarded and buy the goods or service with bitcoins. <So when the price increase, you will not have regrets that you spend those coins> Adopt a 80% hoarding and 20% spending strategy and we will see a massive increase in Bitcoin adoption <Merchants & Bitcoin users >  I absolutely agree with your point and your strategy. However, everyone knows what works best for him/her. Meanwhile let's not forget that the supply of bitcoin is fixed. The focus should be on demand which will be drive by merchants accepting bitcoin as payment method. There should be more demand knowing the supply is already fixed.If this will happen,good things will happen continuously to crypto and in a short time from now,more establishments will now be open in accepting bitcoin as a payment system. |

In nature cryptocurrencies are decentralized, however with government intervention and KYC its becoming centralized. In a dangerous price manner of cryptocurrency its good for investors to have protection specially the small ones, without governing bodies we can't sue anyone who is violating others. But I believe that power and control over should only be vested to individuals or holders.
So in the end,we still prefer to have a decentralized system rather than a system controlled by the government.I think we should not lost the nature of crypto having a decentralized system because first and foremost,it's what keeps the people from entering into a crypto world where you have the full control of your money and no tax is being collected. |

I'm my own view , you can split ur portfolio to long-term and short-term investment, with that you can always benefit when there is a pump in the price of a coin

I was reading on some threads here and it made me wonder what will actually happen if the price of bitcoin continues to drop? And who will be affected more by this: bitcoin miners? Buyers? What do you think guys?
Well for me, I think if bitcoin price continue to drop, the newbie holders of bitcoin will sell their coin because they are in panic. Then the true holders of bitcoin will still wait for the right time. Maybe newbies should learn already how to make a good profit by not resorting into panic selling because they will only lose even more.It's time that they will have to hold long their coins or even buy some potentials coins while the price is still dropping. |

I think, fiat will become obsolete in the future. When the world goes into the era of global trade, people need more efficient currencies than fiat currencies.
Maybe it will in the future.But for now,fiat currency is still very helpful to us knowing it can used to buy all our wants and needs.I think we can never replace it easily especially for those close minded people they will still stick to fiat currency. |

In BTC around 2016. For me, it has given me a big step toward financial freedom. Frankly, if I could make do with a lower quality of life, I would already have enough for a few lifetimes. This is the biggest wealth transfer of our generation.

No,because i believe market will rise higher before end of this year 2018 and not on the beginning of this year. Instead of regret i am happy to hold and wait patiently the upcoming bull run. I believe that the future is much better and profitable than the past couple of months. I also feel that way.There's no more room for regrets for me because it will only give me depressions so i chose to be positive all the way.I know at some point that BTC will still reach a new height even if it will not happen this year,so maybe by early next year.Just keep on holding and i'm sure we can still gain huge profit especially when the bull run begins. |

You should Learn more about trading and technical analyse, if reading books and something like that not too help you it's mean you should practice. Try again and again day trading, learn from the mistake. Practice and experience will improve your skill, you can learn by doing.

I do see the benefit of be centralized bank. Fast speed, revere transactions, and keep all the profits themself. But, there is no need for centralized cryto bank and it's against what crytos are for.
For me,i don't see any positive news about having a central bank because once there is a presence of a bank,the nature of crypto will be automatically centralized.And for that,banks will have the full control of our own accounts. |

For now Fiat will not be eliminated but in the future it will probably happen, as the development of technology is not impossible but the government will look at the economic conditions of all its people first.
I think fiat will still be widely used by people even how many years from now because using of digital currency should still be approved by all sectors of the government and this may take place maybe in the future. |
