I was a vegan for little over a year and during that time I've noticed I was less fatigued throughout the day and I slept like a new born baby.
It's not normal to sleep as long as a newborn baby. Seems like you were fatigued. Maybe you weren't getting enough nutrition? Edit: found a chart and marked it up for you compliments of the National Sleep Foundation (wasn't sure exactly what category to put you in but the young adult and the adult require essentially the same amount of sleep - much less than a newborn)

If you eat only fruits and vegetables, then there will be no improvement in health due to a sedentary lifestyle. Each person has an individual organism. Who is good at eating meat, doing sports and sometimes smoking.
Veganism and smoking are not mutually exclusive. Not all vegans do so for health reasons.

This is just a happy coincident or what now really? that a newbie sends out a transaction with such a high fee and with the miracle timing the all moral and honest antpool mining the block with that TX and even pays from pocket just to come out of all this as a hero.
Wow. You're pretty cynical about this but let me assure you that this event doesn't qualify as coincidence since all of the conditions certainly have a causal connection. If you mean the event was contrived, that's another thing entirely but you can rest assured it was not.

A big Saint Patrick's day fuck up, a little took much whiskey I bet.
Well, the guy must have started the celebrating really early; the incident occurred over a week ago. Now who's been into the whiskey?!

As long as you're doing it for the sake of allowing some misfortunate individual with a low self-esteem to feel better about himself, what could be the harm?
By the way, awesome post buddy! Your post has improved the overall quality of this forum by at least 10%. Job well done!

The thread rally should have started with a definition of "best" with respect to car. We don't really know what we're voting on. What exactly do we mean by best car? edit: lol rally - Freudian slip I meant really.

|
|
Simple survey: In which country are the best cars built?
It seems simple on the surface but you have missed some of the top car producers (by number) as well as some of the top producers of safe, quality vehicles. As an example, Saab and Volvo are well-known for safety but you have excluded Sweden.

There's no magical cure for a gaming addiction. You just have to decide what is more important to you and learn to derive some excitement from your life rather than a fantasy world. Just quit gaming. Stop being a fucking dickhead and go to school - learn some real-life skills so you aren't a leech on your parents or worse, on society. I have a sure-fire cure. Find a tough guy who is addicted to fighting, tell him that every time you play a game he can beat the shit out of you. Just stop it; you're being a complete idiot throwing your life away on a fucking game. If you can make the choice to play, you can also make the choice not to play. Stop being a victim of yourself.
You are totally right. But you think I haven't tried that before? That tough guy was my father. Before I left home, my father used to beat the crap out of me, he wanted me to go to college and graduate, then do whatever with my life. Do you know what I've done? I was pretending to be asleep till he left for work, then I woke up and continue playing. And when he was taking me to college himself, I wasn't attending any lectures, I just stay for a little, then go home. And when things got worse, I left home. The problem is not just gaming, it's also the college. I hate it. No one here goes to college by desire, all go by grades, and so did I. Although I was a very clever student (I even graduated from high school as the first), I was playing games in my exams' nights. But college... eh... i got really addicted in DOTA from warcraft III. i play the game about 7 years ago. that is the first time i play it, 2010. around 2013 and 2014, what in my mind is just that game. back from work, i play till midnight, then go sleep, go work, back home, play again. when it come to weekend, i play around 30 hour without sleep and just having 1 meal. that is a really bad habit, i admit it in myself.
so what i was doing? the hardest part is the first month. i went to mall, to starbucks, to the beach, the club, anything else but home. i give my computer to my cousin for free (regret it now, that is a high spec computer). i learn to smoke, start my dating life, start meeting my friend, start to building professional college in office, and my life is better that way.
today, i can play the game, DOTA 2 in steam, but i'm not get addicted in that again. i can play once a day, or once a month. depend on my mood. my life is changing, i start to see the wonderfulness of the world and start having a family of my own.
that is my story of game addiction.
Thanks for sharing, mate. I really appreciate it. It's not easy to admit it. Just like any other addiction. You need to find an interesting hobby in real life. Tennis, football, paintball, swimming, skating ... there are a lot of options. It is only necessary to overcome laziness for the first time, and then it will become a habit.
I have done that already, and it didn't work. I found no passion in these games (Football, Tennis, and Karate). And that's my other problem that I can't overcome my addiction. I have CFS (Chronic Fatigue Disorder). You know how ridiculous it sounds to hear you say you tried something but it didn't work? It only means you didn't try! The only thing you must do is to stop yourself from this destructive behaviour. Don't try, just fucking do it! It's not your father against you; it's YOU against YOU! Your father wanted you to be the best you can be. Sounds like you have the ability to succeed at school - make a game of college then. See if you can beat yourself. Chronic fatigue syndrome my ass. You can't stay up three days straight gaming and expect to function normally. You're sleep depriving yourself and making excuses. The world won't wait for you man. The sooner you stop being an insolent child, the better. Make a promise to yourself and keep it. Once you put that gaming shit behind you, apologize to your parents for being such a dickhead to them.

Hey all, The acoustic foam works okay. I've been looking at generator boxes, but they are a bit of money and I am not sure how they will work. I have shaped the acoustic foam into a "Z" shape for air flow from below and exhaust up. The thing the works the best is Bose Quiet Comfort 35. I can turn on Netflix and not hear a thing! If I go larger, I will need to look at colocating or building an actual soundproof room in the unfinished basement - though that will lead to ventilation needs. ¡Ya veremos! Any ideas to quiet bitcoin machine noise? Immersion cooling would be extremely quite but likely expensive. You might try mineral oil immersion but you need circulating pumps for that which would add noise and potential failure points.

Miners should be able to easily detect erroneously high fees in the same way they detect transactions with too low a fee and also reject them outright. There is no philosophical argument required.
True, but due to the nature of the private sector this is unlikely to actually happen. As long as we use a currency which is trying to be decentralised and manages its transactions through rewards, many miners (especially the smaller ones) will continue to take these fees for themselves. I don't even believe that Bitmain would have returned the fees if they didn't expect the miner to make the error public and potentially damage their image. Private sector is made up of people; people like you and I in fact. The decisions come.down to people like you and I. I own a private company and I provide a service which I let people try free of charge before they commit to purchase it for a speified term. Even if people have paid for my service, I give refunds on request every time no matter when they ask even though I lose the transaction fees. My money is where my mouth is and I practise what I preach.

In a fair and perfect world you might be right, but we all know that miners nowadays just look at how much they can generate, and thus will not reject such extreme fee transactions. I remember that a few people (back when Bitcoin wasn't near as much worth as is the case right now) have made similar mistakes, where after that the pool that mined that block returned every satoshi. But that was years ago and doesn't fit in the same category as the one in OP does. Nobody can be perfect, but we can all be fair. The world need not be fair nor perfect in order to implement a simple and useful change. We just have to know who to ask and how to phrase the question.

Hi,
I bought the Ledger Nano S, and I want to transfer money from my Mycelium wallet. I have 0.15 BTC that I want to transfer and I have an issue with the fee that I don't understand.
for example, if I want to transfer 0.20 CDN with a normal transaction fee and the software set the fee to 7.70 CDN.
What is going on with the transaction fee? my goal is to send 0.15BTC, but the software wants to charge me 78 CDN to transfer only 175 CDN.
Sounds like your 0.15 BTC is comprised of many small inputs. The fee is based on the size of the transaction in bytes - you might be able to lower the fee you send and cross your fingers or you can wait until the number of unconfirmed transactions diminishes. There is a possibility of attaching a minimum .0001 BTC per kb fee and using ViaBTC accelerator as well. I'm not familiar with mycelium wallet though - perhaps you should move the post to that section.

Our president might look like an idiot but this move on Iraq is made as an economical decision and not a political one or maybe both. He wants to get cheap oil and Iraq has a lot of that. In order to re establish good relations with Iraq after president Bush massively destroyed it in the war of 2003 Trump is starting to be easier on Iraq. I don't like Trump as president but I want to congratulate him on such move, it is beneficial to us the US citizens.
Once again, I see a complete contradiction in actions Trump. I remember he said that under him America will increase the sale of oil on the world market. Why do Americans to reduce the price of the goods which they sell? Perhaps rebuilding the military (in keeping with his stated objectives) is a higher priority than the price of oil. Why piss off the enlisted men and women when a manpower shortage is one of the stumbling blocks to rebuilding the military. As of 2006, about 1,500 visa requests had been made by U.S. military personnel for Iraqi spouses and fiancées. Maybe Trump has a heart.

Bitcoin user Voiceeeeee, undoubtedly an alt due to this rather embarrassing predicament, unwittingly added a 2.5 BTC fee to a transaction which was mined by AntPool in block 456363. Even though the fees had already been dispersed to the miners and they have no responsibility to do so, Bitmain has decided to compensate the user for the loss out of their own coffers as a gesture of goodwill to the Bitcoin community.
reply from Bitmain support request: Dear Customer,
We are sorry to hear this and sincerely appreciate your warmhearted.
First of all, this mistake caused by himself, and we don't have responsibility for this. And since now, Antpool has taken PPS+ and PPLNS+ payment method, so his 2.5 bitcoin transaction fee has already paid out to all the miners in Antpool. But thanks for all of your supports and unconditional trust for Antpool and Bitmain, our company has decided to pay his loss.
Looking forward to continuing to build your trust and bringing you more added values through our advanced technology and passion.
Best Wishes, Hugh Bitmain

Bitmain is awesome!
I opened a ticket with Bitmain last night. Even though the funds were dispersed already, they plan to pay OPs losses! This is a company operating with honesty, integrity and a strong moral compass. Bitmain - my new favourite Bitcoin company.

I believe that Bitcoin miners have a moral obligation to return blatantly abnormal fees once apprised of the situation
A moral obligation to fix someone else's mistake. Hellz no. Granted, it would be a nice gesture to return what in this case seems an obvious error. If I were the miner, I would like to think that I would return the overage. But 'moral obligation'? That's crazy ass special snowflake shit. Life is dangerous. Live accordingly. Don't expect others to clean up your messes for you. There's nothing crazy about moral obligation. Life is not dangerous or there wouldn't be 7 billion humans on the planet - you're simply creating a false narrative. There's nothing dangerous about this particular predicament nor should it be considered a mess, an honest mistake has been made that merely requires honest action on the part of the miner (in this case Antminer) to remedy. Hellz yeah!
