I wouldn't call it a lie. While it would make more sense to have a different escrow in Royse777's situation, as long as the campaign participants trust him (which they probably do as evidenced by applying to the campaign) and are aware that he's the escrow I don't see this claim as false. Campaign manager acting as an escrow is quite common as you probably know ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Good point, I've edited my post. Do we know for a fact that Royse777 has money problems severe enough that he'd be tempted to steal $2000? No. I still wouldn't trust an escrow with money problems, but in this case, if the casino mixer trusts Royse777, that should be enough. Campaign participants usually join anything they can, so they don't care about it either.

faucets dont work for me You have 0.017 tBTC already, it seems to work just fine. want it purely to experiment with it. You still haven't shared what you need it for. I can't think of many things that you can do with 0.5 but can't do with 0.017.

Hey How about you both stop trying to own the system and start respecting people's opinions and stop trying to push your agenda on everyone who added JG to their trust list simply because you disagree with his feedbacks? and perhaps both of you should refrain from lecturing me on trust lists and feedbacks. If you didn't understand my previous comment, you should have politely requested some in-depth explanations. Your previous comment looked very clear to me, but feel free to share your in-depth explanations. I couldn't care less who you include or exclude, but I do care if it's for the wrong reasons. As far as the "lecturing" goes: read what theymos has to say about it: LoyceV's guide seems reasonable. ~ Trust lists
- If you find someone who has sent accurate trust actions and has no inaccurate/inappropriate trust actions, add them to your trust list. Inclusion in trust lists is a more a mark of useful contributions than your trust in them, though at least a little trust is necessary. - If you think that someone is not using the trust system appropriately, or if you disagree with some of their subjective determinations, exclude them from your trust list. If bad outcomes happen in DT, this is partly the fault/responsibility of: the bad actors themselves; DT1 who include the bad-actors; DT1 who don't exclude the bad-actors; DT1 who include or don't exclude failing DT1; anyone else who includes failing DT1. While it's best to spend some time trying to fix things at the lower levels before escalating it, it's reasonable to complain to any of those people, as I did regarding Lauda that one time, for example. (Of course, the system itself is probably also imperfect, and that's on me.)
This proves DT system is a joke. The joke's on the users who included him:

Just in case someone wants to have some ready to use lightning addresses Those are both custodial, right? I almost forgot I'm okay with that for small amounts. https://getalby.comThis is a website dedicated to help creators get paid in sats through their content. They have a plugin that makes payment in websites extremely easy. You end up with a lightning address like this: nullama@getalby.com I don't like that it wants me to install a browser plugin: "This add-on is not actively monitored for security by Mozilla. Make sure you trust it before installing." I'll skip this one. https://stacker.newsThis is a news website that uses sats as the native upvoting system. When you create an account you end up with a working lightning wallet and a lightning address like this: nullama@stacker.news First impression: That's better, .onion available! On second thought: after entering my email address: Error
stacker.news It works after I try again, but it's a weird system: it doesn't let me create a password, I have to click a link in my email every time to login. And the link brings me to the non-onion site again. Even if I manually edit the link, it doesn't allow me to login on the .onion domain. Also, the login link expires after each click, so I have to copy/paste my email address to get a new link each time. Not a very convenient website, unfortunately.

I've whitelisted over 200 users who ran into a proxyban. When I approve them, I email them this: I don't know how many people read the rules from this link, but so far, only 1% of them has been banned. @theymos: have you considered actmyname's suggestion? can you make the default signature link to the forum rule thread? ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I like it! How about doing this only for the first 7 days for new accounts or the first 5 posts (whatever comes first)? Copper Members should of course be able to instantly change it. If each Newbie has a signature saying "Welcome to Bitcointalk! Please check the rules a bit: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0 ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) ", that would give massive exposure to the rules in the threads where Newbies post spam the most.

he's not a trade risk member, which is why I have him on my trust list. Please read my Beginners guide to correct use of the Trust system: Don't confuse your Trust list with feedback Trust feedback: leave feedback to people you trust or don't trust. Or leave neutral comments. Trust list: a list of people who's judgement on others you trust (username) or don't trust (~username).

I could be wrong but I think having escrow in place was part of the plan that gave the project an air of respectability or trustworthiness. Obviously, that's why anyone offers to use escrow. It claims to have "Payment escrowed" , which is a lie: As a campaign manager to guarantee your payment I am holding 0.0984 btc (≈ $2,000) I wouldn't trust anyone with money problems to act as escrow. I suppose much of the problem we have seen is due to relying heavily on forum income. That's why he didn't have a cooling-off period after Bitlucy. I got the same impression. I generally recommend to anyone that they have a lot of life outside the forum, and especially that most of their income comes from non-forum sources. That's easy if you live in a country with high wages, but in many countries the average salary is less than you can earn from a Bitcointalk signature campaign.

I'm late to the party, but I've ran several giveaways for Rollin.io (until the site closed 5 years ago). See my overview for inspiration: Organizing those giveaways was always a lot of fun. I got carried away coming up with the topic titles ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

But I can not duplicate it and I can not prove anything. So it is just very frustrating. You should assume your computer is compromised. Backup your data, wipe it, and start over. Move all your coins to a new wallet (unless they're currently on a hardware wallet), and change all your passwords (to unique new ones). For privacy and security, you may want to check Tails: a Linux-based OS that runs from CD or USB stick, and comes with Electrum and Tor browser by default.

And yeah, I've pretty much resigned myself to remaining with my current moniker forever. Have you considered asking for a Custom Title instead? Those have been granted too. No, I've never even considered considering asking for one, because I thought you had to be either a staff member or a donator to get one. Do you know who's been granted one and under what circumstances? I (again) can't find back the thread, but from what I remember you'll just have to be a valued user and ask nicely. Or pass away, and someone else has to ask, but let's not go to such extremes yet.

This is the thread you created, did you really think this kind topic deserve to not get deleted? Your post is pointless and there's no discussion at all. What's the relation between Bitcoin price going to hit $100K and this shitcoins? you're just clickbait a title to make people interested with your worthless NFT. It's amazing that thread lasted more than half a year and had more than 200 (shit)posts! People should report more and post less on Speculation.

@ hilariousandco: you unbanned him, and no doubt didn't know about his ban evasion. Can you right the wrong of unbanning the ban-evader? Letting him get away with this gives the wrong idea to others. And while you're at it, shouldn't the alt-accounts that were used for ban evasion be banned too? Those are Crypt0S0ul and AnotherAlt.

Besides, it would incentivize users to "apply" to be a merit source only to squat on their smerit allocation, or worse: it could be silently laundered to farm accounts in case merit sources were to be subsidized in proportion to the amount of smerit sent. That brings account farming to a whole new level: 6 on DT1, 12 on DT2, 8 of them are Mods and all 18 Merit sources ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Do you think most of the users who have him in their trust list don't suggest anything that will be against JollyGood or don't write any constrictive opinion about him because they think they will find themselves in his distrust list? Losing a DT vote with earning a negative vote (JollyGood will put you in his distrust list always) means the users are going to lose 2 voting points. For people who seek DT position, losing 2 points is a lot for them. I can't say why people do or don't do things, but if you include someone hoping for backscratching, you're doing it for the wrong reasons. In another thread I was mentioning the users who have him in their trust list, but I am not sure how many of them really noticed it. I assume most people don't use a notification system, so mentioning them doesn't mean they see it. I did not see many of them (except two I guess) to share their opinions yet. For what it's worth, 4 people removed JollyGood from their Trust list in the past week:

I need some for something Do tell! If it has anything to do with this, you came to the wrong place: Please don't give TNBTC to people who are just hoovering it up to paid by defi scams based on it.
Real testing just needs tiny amount, the people who "need" large amounts are selling it. (technically trading it for defi testnet defi tokens which they expect to get converted into real value once that scams they are participating in go live).
This abusive and anti-social behaviour has made it hard for people to get testnet for actual bitcoin testing because they've drained all the faucets and conned the people that have historically given it out out of theirs.
It's also forcing bitcoin development to abandon testnet for testing.

I'm happily surprised Phoenix Wallet supports this! I would have sent you a few sats, but my wallet is currently empty. How does this work though? Do funds go to your Bitrefill account? I also have one that is running on my own node but since it's tied to a personal email I don't want to put it out here since I get enough spam / junk as it is :-) Is the link between the email address and your server custodial? In other words: is there someone who can change where funds go by changing where your email address sends the funds?I found it, it looks like it's doesn't need any third parties: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcamo.githubusercontent.com%2F268abc621585b68fbf1229eab51c3c9344870ec3f227a1ff237c7423ba3ba28e%2F68747470733a2f2f692e696d6775722e636f6d2f444956357138712e706e67&t=664&c=GHfGaQAILWdIyg) Don't know how many people are actually using it or want to use it but it does work. I haven't used LN for a while, but this looks good.
