6261  Other / Meta / Re: Possible bug with the "Self-moderated" function on: June 15, 2020, 07:34:47 AM
Otherwise, if you start writing your topic content, usually followed by previewing it prior posting it, and only at the end of writing / previewing you select the "Self-moderated" check-box, the topic will not be a self-moderated one.
Hello mate. Im not sure if this is a bug, cause normally I write and prepare first my content for topic and once I decided it will be self moderated I will tick the box on the additional option then its totally fine.

Take note: there are some boards that doesnt allowed self moderated like Meta

But you can tell theymos if this one really got bug or error so it would be fixed.

In most sections, you now have the option of marking topics self-moderated when creating them. In self-moderated topics, the OP can delete replies. The option for enabling this is under "additional options". Topics cannot be converted to self-moderated topics after creation.

There are no rules to self-moderation. In self-moderated threads, replies belong to the OP. In other threads, replies belong to the respondents individually. Think carefully about whether you want to reply to a self-moderated topic, as your post may not be given due respect.

Tell me if there are any bugs. If this ends up not working out well, I might remove it.

6263  Other / Meta / Re: Stickied thread exemption from becoming an old thread? on: June 15, 2020, 03:32:25 AM
The message is there to avoid people bumping dead threads back to the front page. Stickied threads are always in the top of the front page, so what would be the issue of posting there? That's why no message shows up.
I get it that stickied threads are important ones. I just get the idea when there was a post on our local board about the certain topic which covered by the stickied thread but the thread was inactive for few months, so he think it shouldn't be bump thats why he create a new thread but users suggest to post instead on the right thread which happened to be on stickied thread.

But as expected I am right, exemption to sticky thread have it purpose to stay there as you said.

Which lead me again to another curiosity. How about those locked stickied threads that needs a revision? How would that thread be updated if example the author has not active anymore. This is possible if ever someone created a much better version for example rules.

6265  Other / Meta / Stickied thread exemption from becoming an old thread? on: June 14, 2020, 12:07:20 PM
How long (number of days, months) does an old post can have a warning like this and can be considered an old thread? I believe 120days right at least the duration if none posted on that thread? Cause thats what it state when there is a warning if you will reply on that topic.

I assume there is an exemption of this through stickied thread on every sections. Maybe I was wrong but let me give you an example which I just discovered recently.

Other sections for this forum?

This post was posted February 2016. The last active post on this was last January 14, 2020. So if we check the months it was inactive it almost reach 5months right? I wonder why the warning message  has not popping up when it almost over the 120days period from the last message posted Here:

Does it support the idea stickied thread has exemption to this? Im not sure though but I would like an explanation why is it like that. Everyone can try on other local section if they have the same active stickied thread to verify.

Sorry for my noob question, just wanted to know why is it like that.

Other sections for this forum?

No warning at all. my assumption, sticky threads were not included on the rules of necrobumping. Im not sure though just a merely observation. Tama ba ko sa interpretation ko Mr. Big?

OP 100% I support your idea very well said pero sigurado dadaan pa ito sa maraming deliberation. Also okay din kung maretain itong thread mo and hear opinions of other Filipino users about this. Normally hindi kasi mapapansin nga naman sa sticky thread ng ibang users yung topic but of course Moderators decision too kung imemerge ba or ilolocked ito. Some were also doing creation of new thread kahit may existing na about dun but with a formal post like this, I think it can be retained.

Changing stance of one of the largest bank in the world. What does it signifies?
I believe its purely business at all. Why does JPMorgan become sweeter now with BTC is a huge puzzle but not hard to decipher. Changing sides means he/they found a way to make more money from it.

We all knew this guy is an entreprenuer and using BTC as a reason for his agenda is likely be part of his plan. My bet is he already bagged some with these recent rally and now wanted to make profits by boosting BTC on news to surge hike.

I dont have proof but everybody can smell this kind of heist.

I am not sure if answer is yes, it should be flagged and banned from forum.
Of course not. If you will check the profiles of the one I mentioned they are different users whom been used for registration. I dont think own company will cheat on their own campaign right? Dont worry if there are some evidence pointing to those scammers we will update here.

Because sometimes scammers could put one user account with other bitcointalk users. In this case, some users can suffer from it. Good finding op. keep it up.
Thats why we should not judge easily some of the users that accused of because scammer tend to use them for their evil doings. Not really good with this, but will help  Smiley

6274  Other / Meta / Re: Hero member with 1000 airdropped merits - is it possible? on: June 13, 2020, 07:14:24 AM
I think usually what happened in those cases (if not always) is that the guy had the activity and post requirement pre-merit system, then after he got his 1,000 merits, deleted a bunch of posts which made him move back to Hero Member rank. Either that or the mods deleted a bunch of his posts. Or a combination thereof.
Meaning BPIP cant detect post deleted by own users? Since @GazetaBitcoin said only two of his post have been deleted.

Will Loyce.club be able to see whether the guy deleted his own post? If yes then we can assume that your theory about his merit is true.

My best guess is its a bug from forum or else he was given special privilege by the admins to retain its merit count( maybe well looks like he is trusted member too)

Confirmed, trusted ninjaboon with 47.5BTC and he released the funds successfully.

@Zubilica - thank you for the nice feedback.

The best one can answer this issue is probably theymos.

EDITED:
~ Weren't Hero accounts supposed to receive only 500 merits when the merit system was implemented?

Hero members have received 1000 Merit points instead of 500 if their Activity was >= 775.

#msg29008685

Allowed me to show here the message directly by theymos

I decided that the previous allocation was too unfair in this area, so everyone with activity >= 775 got 500 more merit if they didn't already have 1000 merit (and also Lutpin). No extra sMerit, though.
I think thats the answer @GazetaBitcoin  Grin

Hi everyone just scanned through some feedbacks. Given the heavy of allegations to WhalesHeaven campaign, I decided to put it on probable scam/allegation bounty not because its proven scam or weak project at all. They havent proven to scam anyone yet I reckoned but instill its unjust to list it for a suggestion which lift a conflict on my objective. For the meantime, I will put it there until a clear facts of scam have been resurface. But still chances of taking it back on the list if soemthing good would came up.

WhalesHeaven is not a good project but I don't know why the OP added this bounty to their list even though there is a bounty that is better than WhalesHeaven.
There is a saying "dont judge a book by its cover" but you are right, there's a fraud allegation with the project. I decided to put up there cause I see a good potential on their tech and they have real paetnership which confirmed. I am gonna watch on the sideline for now, and see it through.

For Oikos and ispolink, I ought to add them but due to their schedule which weeks short from ending, I dont think its wise to list it now, anyway thanks for all the concern and I appreciate all the feedbacks.

Now the thing is the ethereum address used for these application were hidden in the sheet. Its useless to note those telegram username cause probably that are all copied too. Ive already inform the manager of this campaign to check well the applications and refer to thread also for those who only submitted Proof Of Authentication and also if possible to publicized the address so we can note those addresa and determined whose account are being used for scamming.

Note: already informed the manager about the sheet cause there are some who got accepted in the signature campaign though not really participated. Only scammer will benefit from it.

What about Oikos, they are Defi projects that are trending right now, and Oikos will be listed on the Hoo Exchange, many good projects have not been added to your list, but I am very thankful, for making this list.
Hi there Im sorry for missing this out. Not all updates on every project can be monitored by me. But will look details on it.

OP is really doing a wonderful job updating this thread always, you have my respect brother, have you done some research on 3wm ? That's a new bounty from bounty detective, looks promising enough to me, I will be waiting for your reply
Hello yes I think 3wm is a legit project, I joined their airdrop too but unfortunately they dont have signature campaign so I did not add it on the list.

It seems like the OP is only focusing on paying campaigns, but it doesn't matter whether it can be traded or not later.
Other than that. Also checkint out some legality and potential of the project which includes variety of measures. However, I cant promise I land on a good project always.

I hope you delete this from your list because this project seems to be experiencing something, now there are allegations on this project "Plagiarized Wbsite Content" https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5254832.0
Allegations are still on progress. I like to wait for some more convincing evidence though. Thanks for sharing this, I am always reaching out to my followers but lets give them benefit of the doubt first.

Another thing that might scare potential bounty hunters - "The token will be used to pay a utility fee on WhalesHeaven platfrom". So their tokens are just an instrument used for fee. I think this going to be like this: you can pay trading fee with altcoin you trade (like on binance), or you can buy their tokens and pay reduced fee. But, there will be no option to sell this WHT.
Thanks for your input, but lets wait for some update and more progress. I found some potential on their objective thats why I list it here. But of course, if proven guilty of allegations on them, Im gonna remove it on the list. For the meantime lets see first what their going to do.
