Ah very well, Bangladesh manage to get quick wickets after lunch. Now they are batting with loss of 2 wickets and behind 239 runs. jeez its just 2nd day and hope Bangladesh don't get all out today..... But real competition is who gets to taste inning defeat first Bangladesh or Pakistan

akhjob must be dreaming of winning the pot but hold your horses guys, we have 2 days left and everything is possible in cricket. Yeah bro, it's almost 5x Haven't won a 5x ever in a bet, my max win was 3x something. But, I trust England to bat for a day and a half and ensure that this match ends in a draw BTW, it's been a productive week for me. I started the week with 77 merits, earned 23 merits in 3 days and became a Full Member on my Birthday and my yesterday's average posts in the art contest fetched 50+ merits. I also closed a good deal IRL So I think, I am in a streak of luck and going to make the most out of it Congrats and Belated Happy Birthday bro, Well if luck working in your favor then i take my words back. After all, this year 2 major cricketing tournament got unexpected results only because of luck @JSRAW, I would have loved to see your 3D art in the contest. You are a 3D artist right Yeah, 3d Sculptor/Game artist. I was considering to submit something but decided not to because lack of free time. you might already know that 3d sculpting takes huge amount of time and after 10-12 hours of daily slavery, its tough task.

India announced the Squad for upcoming T-20/ ODI series against the West Indies. Kohli, Kuldeep, Bhuvneshwar, Shami, Jadeja are back and Krunal, Khaleel, Shardul Thakur, Samson out. Samson exclusion looks odd to me, he didn't even got a chance to play a single game and considering Rishabh Pant's recent form, he surely deserved a few chances and not sure what Kedar Jadhav is doing in the ODI squad, he's 34 yo. IMO management should look out for new blood (Shubham Gill). No mention of Dhoni, guess more speculation on his retirement. https://www.cricbuzz.com/cricket-news/110916/kuldeep-bhuvneshwar-back-in-squad-for-west-indies-seriesT20I Squad: Virat Kohli (C), Rohit Sharma (VC), Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant (WK), Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Deepak Chahar, Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar

@Royse, looks like the Multibet didn't attract much interest, maybe not everyone discussing in the Cricket discussions is an active gambler (including me). Maybe you'll have to open up for the Football lovers
I missed the multibet thread while scrolling down as i thought both will be in one thread if not i would have tried that too even thought i am not great in wagging a multi bet in a single event. I just noticed that Royse updated the OP with multibet thread. sorry dude i missed it too like others . if that makes you feel better then i was the first user, who subscribed to your Telegram channel..... akhjob must be dreaming of winning the pot but hold your horses guys, we have 2 days left and everything is possible in cricket.

~snip~
but one things i did not understand is that when Liton Das was injured another player came out to bat who was not in the team, when did this rule changed as they start allowing substitute players and Mehidy Hasan came out to bat, so if Liton Das gets better whether he will be allowed back in the team to play or Mehidy Hasan will continue.
~snip~
One more doubt is that, is there a rule change in Test cricket that they can have a substitute player if someone is injured, during Ashes second Test i saw Marnus Labuschagne coming in to bat instead of Smith as he was injured and i did not see them announcing the 12th man, can they select anyone in the squad randomly, anyone having any idea regarding that.
Yeah, this is new rule under only concussion replacement - suspected concussion replacement. where substitute can bat, ball or WK in this scenario ICC Approves Like-for-like Substitution for Concussion in All International CricketIn a landmark decision, the International Cricket Council has approved a like-for-like concussion substitute in men's and women's international cricket and first-class cricket worldwide from August 1, the start of the first Ashes Test.
The decision was taken after a two-year trial of concussion replacements in Australia's domestic cricket competition, the Sheffield Shield. A player who has been concussed either while batting, bowling or on the field can be withdrawn from the game and be replaced subject to approval by the match referee.
The ICC stated that the decision on replacement will be made by the respective team's medical representative. @Clement Kaliyar Hope, this helps. As of now there are 5 incidents of concussion replacement in the International Matches. 1. Nayee Hasan replaced by Taijul Islam against India (Shami) 2. Liton Das replaced by Mehidy Hasan against India (Shami) 3. Dean Elgar replaced by Theunis de Bruyn against India (Umesh Yadav) 4. Darren Bravo replaced by Jermaine blackwood against India ( Bumrah) 5.Steve Smith replaced by Marnus Labuschagne against England (Jofra Archer)

What the freaking heck. Unbelievable. Miss the legends like Billy Bowden. ICC needs to wake the heck up and do something about this since a storm is building and this could hit them at any point in the future if they don't do anything about it. Bro, You broke the link (fixed it). some might think that i am spreading rumors lol. IMO the main reason of umpiring standard going down is "Over dependency on technology" nowadays umpires are very careless, they don't pay much attention to details such as no balls. they know we already have rule of checking no-balls after every dismissal and if any chance LBW etc goes wrong then Both teams have DRS.

Bangladesh is trying their best to put some runs on the board so that the people who took tickets for the first 4 days will get the opportunity to come to the stadium . The Indian pacers are too much for the Bangladeshi batsman and the way in which the bowlers are delivering i would like to see them bowl in green wickets and they can pose a challenge to any team in the world, if this bowling unit along with Bumrah travel to New Zealand in their next tour then they can make history by winning the series as i am pretty sure they never won that in New Zealand. Shami hitting the batsmen and ishant, umesh showing no sign of mercy as well. 7th wicket down, all belongs to pacer and spinners are at sideline so far just enjoying the view.

Aus 150/0
Australia is on a roll here. Warner just scored his 150 and is playing smartly dealing in boundaries only. This is why Pointing decided to stick with him people and this is why he is still a critical part of the test squad at present. Warner was lucky today. he was around at 50ish when he got caught behind the wicket but ball was no ball, hard luck for debutant Nassem shah. Then at the end of the day ball kissed the wicket but bailed didn't got off from stumps.
Meanwhile Bangladesh is in mess again. 25/3 After 2 mins score is 26/4
Another example of shitty umpiring in Aus vs Pak, have a look. Naseem Shah bowls 20 Noballs in two sessions not given by Umpires | Australia vs Pak 1st test day 2

Sourav Ganguly first gig turning out to be good for Test cricket so far, he left no stone unturned for this. Inviting Bangladesh's Hon. PM Sheikh Hasina along with first test team of Bangladesh. i really hope after this he will take care of spectators concerns regarding stadium facilities etc.
So BCCI is inaugurating the day night Test match with a bang and there is a reason for that, if the match could attract the audience interest which they are looking for and it will become a grand success in the grant scheme of things then we might see day night matches quite often and their main focal point will be TRP rating and stadium audience. All tickets are sold already for first 4 days. Imagine if this was in between Australia and India :-D
Too bad it isnt. anyway i am expecting both teams to play a D/N test against each others soon. ~snip~ It's Eden Garden; oldest stadium in India. Let me bring some test history for team India on the board.
~Edite out~
These are some good stats for the upcoming match. Moreover, it's the broken Bangladesh.
Kolkatta has a 100 year old history in sports after all, be it cricket or football. Bangladesh is broken team atm but i am not sure if we are heading towards another one sided game or not. Australia is batting really well and they might score over 240 runs even without loosing a wicket, hard time to be a Pakistani bowler with the way in which both the Australian openers are batting . Pitch looking dead to me, no sign of reverse swing et all so far. all pakistani seamers struggling atm, their best bet is Oz batsmen make some mistakes othewise they are on mercy of batsmen. Aus 150/0

There's been instant gratification for all the efforts too, in the form of rapid ticket sales that has seen the first four days of the Test being sold out already. The quick turnaround time between the newly-appointed BCCI president Sourav Ganguly suggesting the need to play a Day-Night fixture and the board actually hosting one was surprisingly short, given India's reluctance to play it in Australia in late 2018. But Kohli had a defence to offer, believing it's the sort of a concept that first needs to be trialled at home, before the team can take the plunge on away shores. What to expect: A lot of uncertainty. There's a healthy grass cover on the pitch that will aide the quicks. Kohli believes the pink ball has been travelling a lot quicker than anticipated, making catches difficult to take. There's also the issue of dew that could cripple the bowling side under lights. The weather is expected to be clear throughout, though.

Meh.. I have nothing to say about first day game .... Except timing is really bad, didn't able to watch a single ball. It was very hard for Ground Umpire but Third umpire had millions of camera angle and footage but still he went with soft decision of out which was original decision. i can make peace with Ground umpire when it comes to close calls but third umpire simply has no excuse. this kind of decision can cost game to one team, Rizwan was playing very well and was in attacking mode.
A T20 or one day might be won single handed but a test match cannot be won alone. Even if Rizwan was batting well, yet the whole team got out on 240. This means that even if he remained not out, the team could have scored on 30-40 more runs. You should give credit to the Australian players who are continuing their good form in this test too. Guess, you forget the 3rd Match of the Ashes where ground umpire turned down the obvious LBW decision against the Ben stokes, He was out and Aussie team didn't had any review left. Result England won the match with 1 wicket. If we are turning blind eye on ridiculous umpiring then its another discussion and i am fine with it. Having said that if we are talking about hypothetical world then why stick with 30-40 runs only, let's go with 100+ runs and we shouldn't forget Australia have to bat 4th inning. Not taking credit from Aussie Seamers..... just pissed off with the umpiring standard.

6th wicket down now, have to say very bad decision from ground and third umpire. it was clearly no ball from pat Cummins but umpire gave Mohammad Rizwan out anyway. what's the use of technology if you still not going to use it correctly,
This has been a problem for sometime now. The frequency of bad decisions keeps increasing with time and I blame ICC for this. Majority of the decisions given by the umpires these days are so messed up that I feel like the viewers can do a better job in comparison. Tried Terminator Resistance. Not very good gameplay. It uses Unreal Engine 4 - a laggy as shit, high overhead, low performance engine. Going to try Borderlands 3 next which uses the same engine. I have a theory all Unreal Engine 4 games are crap. The engine doesn't even really feel suitable for real-time video games. The UE4 render pipeline is just too convoluted with bullshit more suitable for rendering a movie than a game.
Unreal Engine 3 was also bad, and most of it's games were crap as well, but there were a few decent ones like Borderlands 1-2. Having said that, even it's good games had a total lack of physics, which is pretty inexcusable considering HL2 engine had amazing, perfect physics YEARS ago near the same era utilizing barely any overhead at all. Now I'm seeing Unreal Engine 4 games with the same bullshit total lack of physics in 2019 - totally insane. EA's Frostbite engine was considered 'not optimal' for making games like Dragon Age: Inquisition, yet it's lightyears ahead of Unreal Engine 4 in performance, input lag, and everything else you can imagine.
My sentiments are more or less same as you when comparing UE4 to Frostbite. But i wouldn't say Frostbite is light years ahead. if you want to do case study then forget Dragon Age : Inquisition and check out "Anthem", visually spectacular game but performance wise not so. This discussion going on for quite some time now and i don't see any change in status quo for next decade or so. Frostbite's engine is tough nut to crack for their devs, even experienced devs finds its difficult to work with, Plus they don't get much help from community as compared to UE4 when it comes to bugs etc.

Babor Azam has gone now, the only man who used to perform well. Pakistan is in trouble. It was expected although. Their batting line up was always poor. Chance is they will lose the match with a big margin.
