6282  Economy / Economics / Re: I wish i could take advantage of the Mtgox withdrawal issue on: February 07, 2014, 11:25:50 PM
THAT is a good idea. Thanks
6283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin: should i buy more?? on: February 07, 2014, 11:24:01 PM
Dogecoin will go up after the block halving due to supply decrease.

And within next few days, second halving will come, and then the third, so they will mine as much as they can.

I am buying as much as i can.

Take a look at the network hashrate. it reached 250k

6284  Economy / Economics / I wish i could take advantage of the Mtgox withdrawal issue on: February 07, 2014, 08:47:37 AM
Unforunately, my money is in bitcoins and dogecoins.

Now, mtgox had stopped all bitcoin withdrawals temporarily to resolve an issue and traders who needed a reason for buying and selling took the opportunity because some who need money immediately had to sell their bitcoins and withdraw them.

The problem is only at mtgox and is slightly reflected in other exchanges.

How do i take advantage of this temporary crash??

And since dogecoin is nearing its first halving i don't really want to sell them. I have some btc though and a little in mtgox as usd

And a cool community @ reddit...

If you think a community out of 14 year old people is cool, then u're probably right.
Well the community is cool and optimistic. They got a lot of people to accept dogecoins and raised funds for various things
Whats wrong with a "community out of 14 y old people"? Nothing!  I'm 40+ and I like that doge community?

Yeah, i am 40- and i too like the community Smiley
6286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin: Why does infinite supply matter? on: February 04, 2014, 09:53:04 AM
So, wait.

Does this mean that the Doge I purchased aren't as rare as I actually thought? This means that my coins will be 5% less valuable every year...

When they are valuable a lot, a 5% less doesn't matter... and market has dropped a lot more than 5% though it will rise back in a week
6287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Dogecoin: Why does infinite supply matter? on: February 04, 2014, 12:52:57 AM
I saw a recent drop in price of dogecoin @ cryptsy. Why is that??

I came across the following:

"boyter 1 day ago | link

The thing is its actually less inflation then Bitcoin or Litecoin at least for the next few years anyway. See the following (taken from reddit thread) which shows the inflation amount over the next 5 year period.
        Dogecoin Bitcoin Litecoin
  2015   5.26%    10%    33.33%
  2016   5%     9.09%    12.5%
  2017   4.76%    4.1%    11.11%
  2018   4.54%    4%    10%
  2019   4.35%    3.85%    9.09%
  2020   4.2%    3.7%    4.1%
People need to keep in mind that dogecoin's inflation is set at 10,000 coins per block forever once mined out. As such the inflation amount will reduce each year as more coins exist, unless of course people manage to loose about 5 billion coins a year. The other thing to remember is dogecoin currently has about 5% inflation a week, so anyone dumping it over this news is a bad speculator.
EDIT before someone jumps down my throat I am checking the numbers now and the bitcoin one looks to be slightly off, please take this as close, but not exact please. If you have the exact numbers pass them on and I will update.
reply"

I dont see that a problem. 10k a block after it is mined out. So still it is better right? So supply is infinite but is highly restricted. So why the huge sell off??
6288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin: should i buy more?? on: February 04, 2014, 12:39:13 AM
If I knew that answer wouldn't I buy 10BTC  worth of DOGECOIN. No one can predict future! Use your own judgement.

My judgement is to buy them and i am willing to take the risk. But i think i should wait till the last 2 days before halving and see how the market reacts before buying into it
6289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin: should i buy more?? on: February 04, 2014, 12:38:07 AM
4 addresses holding 27% of the current DOGE.

And a cool community @ reddit...

6290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Dogecoin: should i buy more?? on: February 04, 2014, 12:32:27 AM
After looking up reddit, bitcointalk and other sites, i got the following facts:

Halving will happen around 12th Feb

0.00000159 BTC/DOGE
Last trade price on bter.com

1200.415   ( 80 to 115 GH/sec)
Current difficulty

85409
Blocks in chain

And 42.5 Billion coins mined already... ie. 42.5% is mined now

And a cool community @ reddit...

And a 325% increase in price in the last 30 days...
(change: +338.04% | high: 0.00000242 | low: 0.00000025) Cryptsy, yottabyte.nu

And more websites accepting dogecoin (eg. doge-dice, bit777, etc. look up reddit or original bitcointalk post)

And i just changed my signature

Shouldn't I buy dogecoin with all my bitcoins??
I am currently 50% invested in dogecoins
6291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Does Coin Value being halved increase Value? on: February 04, 2014, 12:29:01 AM
True. In the short term the market can react in both ways... But in the long term it is going high TO THE MOON !

6292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DOGE coin keeps rising. WTF? on: February 03, 2014, 01:14:02 AM
Halving ahead guys... Price will get a bit low and then very high...

TO THE MOON!!!
6293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 42coin : Don't get blinded by the price on: January 29, 2014, 10:54:42 AM
Just bought some 42coin... and lot of dogecoins...
6294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 42coin : Don't get blinded by the price on: January 21, 2014, 04:41:38 AM
Suppose you bought them when the price was low @ 27 satoshis at the time you posted all this, you could have made 8x profit by selling it now @ 220.

And 24coin is still going down...
6295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 42coin : Don't get blinded by the price on: January 21, 2014, 04:35:08 AM
Scam coin??
Can you define a scam coin ?

change: +140.55% | high: 0.00000228 | low: 0.00000087

chartsCryptsy: 0.00000209
CoinedUp: 0.00000196
Coins-E: 0.00000226
Bter: 0.00000215
Vircurex: 0.00000203

If u think it is a scam coin, u don't invest and don't trade with it and see it become the most popular currency in the online world.

In case you did not notice there is a huge community standing there for doge in reddit...

And who has the last laugh? if i sell my dogecoin now i get 150% profit... but i won't Cheesy

Good work Shibes
6296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 42coin : Don't get blinded by the price on: January 18, 2014, 01:26:02 AM
So my current suggestion is dogecoin
...
Suppose u buy dogecoin @ 25 satoshis and sell at 75 you get 200% profit
and THAT is more likely
Your suggestion for what? A coin to buy and resell for a profit? Isn't everyone who buys the coin trying to do that? And isn't it essentially a zero-sum game? Actually, it's worse than a zero-sum game because the exchange "taxes" every transaction. It's basically a taxed lottery, is it not?

Yeah, a taxed lottery. but the fee is just 0.2% and there are exchanges that dont charge a fee
6297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 42coin : Don't get blinded by the price on: January 18, 2014, 01:25:03 AM
Dogecoin's got an excellent community at reddit

Dogecoin has the strength to fight off any competition.
A cryptocurrency lives as long as the people believe in it and WE, the SHIBES will never lose hope.

We believe in Dogecoin

TO THE MOON!!
6298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 42coin : Don't get blinded by the price on: January 18, 2014, 01:12:01 AM
So whats the problem? If it goes stable for a while, i don't have any problem (but i don't think it will be). It wil just make it more useful for tipping and buying
6299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 42coin : Don't get blinded by the price on: January 18, 2014, 12:50:03 AM

Dogecoin is about to turn into Feathercoin - huge walls on Cryptsy, no room for manoeuvring unless you get on the tail of a pump or dump - Doge will die, thankfully

What wall? There are buy orders too...

Total buy orders: 42-51 satoshis: 232 BTC
Total sell orders: 52-61:  176 BTC

DIFFERENCE: + 56 BTC

as on 1/18/2014 Cryptsy

Now you really think we can't break the wall?? And Dogecoin is going to crash??

Anyway i am not selling my dogecoins anytime in a year...
6300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / 42coin : Don't get blinded by the price on: January 18, 2014, 12:41:16 AM
42coin has got 2 very big demerits:
Extremely high price
Very low acceptance
and a merit:
Low supply

Sites are not likely to accept 42coin.

Still it is good for profits I think...
my current suggestion is still dogecoin

Also do not get blinded by the price rise and fall.

Suppose u bought 0.0001 42coin @ 500 BTC, and sold at 1000 BTC, you get 100% profit
Similarly,
Bitcoin just rose in a few months 1000%
Sich a rise is impossible with 42coin

Suppose u buy dogecoin @ 25 satoshis and sell at 75 you get 200% profit
and THAT is more likely

AND SINCE DOGECOIN IS NEAR ITS FIRST HALVING...
