Bitcointalk.org related 1 more website is live

cointalkforum.com
I visited that site already and its related to this forum but not even similar. You can see just a few threads like 1 or 3 thread with less than 10 topics. Its not that interesting forum since members are lesser than 100 and just a few are active. I think this forum is the best forum when it comes to cryptocurrency talks and other blockchain matters since millions of users here are active.
6282  Economy / Speculation / Re: The point of no return on: January 22, 2019, 01:25:35 PM
At which price do you think bitcoin will not be able to recover from? There is strong support at $3500 but is now at risk of being breached.

Is $3000 the low point after which there is limited chances of it returning to the glory days?
This is really uncertain, prices on this kind of market is really volatile and no one knows when it will increase or decrease. We are having a strong hold on price range such at $3500 and i guess bitcoin will stay enough long for the bull to run this year. The only thing we can do for now is to support by buying bitcoin to increase its price on the market.
6283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you are buying BTC in 2019 because you think it is Bitcoin, you are being foo on: January 22, 2019, 12:00:10 PM
Comparing BCH to BTC is like comparing a real $30k rolex to a fake plastic rolex that cost you $10. To the uneducated they may look the same or even the plastic one slightly better, but to those who know their stuff, they can see one is just a cheap rip off and the other is the real deal.
Definitely, what they expect from a bitcoin competitor? a praisal? You can see to his post that he is scamming, he is not comparing bitcoin but instead using the name of bitcoin for his own good. He says that people need bitcoincash but his website does not include its coin name. He is trying to manipulate the thinking of people with his coin telling people buying bitcoin is foolishness because of sudden decrease from last year.

6285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How well does Bitcoin function as a currency? on: October 14, 2018, 08:41:24 AM
Successful currencies meet three criteria:

(1) they are in widespread use as medium of exchange
(2) they serve as unit of account
(3) they are a stable store of value.

Most sovereign currencies fully meet all three criteria.

What about Bitcoin?
So well to the point that there are now a physical store accepting cryptocurrency not just bitcoin as a means of payment. It is not prohibited by the government but they are giving cautions on using bitcoin and other cryptocurrency because of the volatility it contains which is very high. Crpytocurrency in my country are being recognize and doing well in the market.
6286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What keeps you motivated to Hodl? on: October 14, 2018, 06:59:38 AM
Well, it can be different from anyone. Cause everyone has their motivation to do. But if you already gain a "BIG" profit from holding it can make you addicted to do same. Grin Trust me.
I think what everyone expecting from holding is the possibility of getting a huge profit from their assets. I am motivated by the thought of getting a huge profit too because that is the essence of holding isn't ? what other thing motivates me about holding is seeing the coin pumping and rising day by day which makes me more enthusiast about cryptocurrency.
6287  Economy / Economics / Re: How Long Crypto market will take to recover? on: October 13, 2018, 06:28:39 AM
We all know this year is one of the worst year of crypto, market is dead and new investors are in fear to enter,  My portfolio is 75% down as compare to January. How long this market will take time to recover?. I am stucked in holding.
Then stay hodling. This is the best thing to do aside from buying because of the low market. The date is not specified but we can say that it will happen soon. No need to worry about that. It will happen no matter what. We are saying this because it is the common cycle of cryptocurrency. It goes down but after this the bull and moon will be seen.
6288  Economy / Economics / Re: Elevator down and stairs up for BTC? on: October 12, 2018, 10:18:00 AM
It's really a roller coaster ride for bitcoin for the first half this year. We've seen how bitcoin responded to the occasion several times and it was just a couple weeks when bitcoin had finally broke the 8K USD resistance before it went down back again to 7K USD today. Overall, bitcoin is doing good and since there are few more months left, i expect bitcoin will make the cryptomarkets very healthy again.
I agree. We cannot say that the market will be down forever eventually it will rise sooner or later. No question about it. It will probably rise. There are chances of winning but we cannot say that it is really elevator and stair in comparison, but it is just the market with a price variation. We can foresee the future but we cannot be certain.
6289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did we get what we asked for - less Bitcoin volatility? on: October 12, 2018, 09:10:45 AM
Do you remember the times when Bitcoin prices were all over the place and price swings of $300 to $500 in any direction was

normal.  Roll Eyes  Well, back then, everyone were moaning and complaining about the high volatility and how this negatively

impacted the merchants and using Bitcoin as a payment option.

How things have changed in a matter of 1 to 2 years is astonishing, because now people are complaining about the lack of

volatility and how boring Bitcoin has become.  Roll Eyes

Do we know what we want or are we divided in our goals, since more speculators have entered the Bitcoin scene in 2017.  Huh

Let's discuss.  Wink
We did a very huge change on bitcoin because of many speculation, keep in mind that without speculation the value of bitcoin will not rise at all and will be less volatile. It is really great having a king on the cryptomarket with $6000 value as of now. Maybe those who complains with the value of bitcoin is those people who just came for money because of hype last year.
6290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A bad timing to invest in an ICO? What are your insights? on: October 12, 2018, 08:11:08 AM
I think that depends on your views for the future...If you think that the market will rise again, then this is the time to invest your fiat money in crypto and then some promising ICOs.  If you are hesitant, you can at least join their bounty and once you feel more certain then you can make your contribution.
Majority of the ICO is risky. We cannot really say whether the project will be successful or nah. Therefore it is not just enough to know what are the plans or framework or such but it is indeed important to monitor how the project is doing. But them we can start at knowing everything about the ICO and their projects.
6291  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin now below $10,000 on: October 11, 2018, 01:29:35 PM
Yes, it is sad to think that the value of bitcoin is ten thousand dollars but we should be optimistic because bitcoin will never leave as in our journey.
That's right the value of bitcoin is around to $9,000 to $10,000, but im sure it will rise is in $20,000 again or more before the end of this year of 2018. The best thing to do is hold and buy other potential coins.
Ultimately this year makes me pressured, however I assume that its appropriate time to are available to the market. I accept as true with that the rate will get lower back to 12,000 $, however you never realize.
Bitcoin's price is still below $10000, its playing around $6000 to $7000 way too far from $3000 price last year with the same month as now. Do not be pressure just because you get used to a above $10000 price of it, remember that we are on off season specifically a bear market. Bull will run at any moment, whales are going to decide for it.
6292  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Paying for education on: October 11, 2018, 11:28:30 AM
It's largely considered to be almost a necessity to pay for some kind of education if you are planning on becoming a stock trader.
How many people have paid for some kind of trading education, either focusing in stock trading or in crypto trading.
Do you think it's helped you?
What was your experience through trading education either paid or unpaid?

Learning is free! we can make else where a school, not just because you have building, teachers and equipments to use make and provide knowledge you call it a school. You can learn everything, major example would be the internet, simply through media, specifically electronic media that contains a massive information about everything. Trading is easy to learn when you have experience to it.
6293  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Cryptocurrency threatens governments on: October 08, 2018, 01:17:42 PM
Over the years cryptocurrency  has evolved into a global currency but governments are trying to sweep it's relevancy under the carpet. We all know that the eyes of the community are now opened to the importance and blockchain technology.

What baffles me is why are the government making lives difficult by banning or limiting it's use? Is it because it threatens the political power or are they scared it will improve the global economy or force the traditional banks to reduce their ridiculous interests rate which we have been robbed of for decades now.

What is your take on this and what do you think will make governmental bodies to finally accept crypto?
Simply because it is decentralizing people too. Cryptocurrency is a democratic currency that is why the price is too volatile because of the investor and people which means we regulate the value of it, in some aspect, it affects the financial system where the government established for a long time. Before to think the global economy, think first of the national economy.
6294  Economy / Economics / Re: The significance of bitcoin decentralization on: October 08, 2018, 11:05:18 AM
There are many problems with centralization. For example, central Banks can print money and plunder your wealth without your consent. Your money in the bank is not actually your money, but the bank's liabilities to you. You don't always get your money out of the bank. It's possible that the bank will only allow you to withdraw 60 euros a day, and it may even force you to confiscate your deposits. Private property is sacrosanct, but people can't help it. In the BTC, these bad things will no longer exist. BTC is a monetary system that is completely out of the bank and only runs on the Internet. Even the law enforcement agencies cannot seize or confiscate BTC. The BTC network cannot be blocked unless the Internet is completely shut down.

In the BTC system, you can really control your money, not indirectly through the bank. BTC has used technology for the first time in human history to ensure that private property is sacrosanct.
What makes the cryptocurrency great is the decentralization system where it runs so there are no external force and rules can crush it just like the government. It is the democratic money, the value will depend on the people's demand and usage, government can put taxes on the establishment that uses cryptocurrency for regulating a business but not really on the cryptocurrency itself.
6295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet hacking is it possible? on: October 07, 2018, 11:57:01 PM
Just like an account where one's fiat currencies are kept so also is wallet where digital assets or cryptocurrencies of crypto lovers are kept. Can the wallet be vulnerable to hacking and if possible how can that happen? If you have experienced it before, I want to learn from your experience.
There has been a scenario regarding to the security ones cryptocurrency wallet. Even there are security there is no thing as 100% secured its always have a risk. Even with bitcoins, online wallets can be hacked and steal. Wallets for cryptocurrency are risky too if we dont care to its private key.
6296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Investments Why Risky? on: October 07, 2018, 10:50:32 AM
ICO investments are become risky because of the irresponsible team owners and developers the government must issue a strict guides to allowed ICO in one country to protect investors from loosing money team owners must provide real documents, license, proven advisors, qualified team members and not just select from different sectors with no expertise and of course funds must be properly escrowed or using a smart contract like the DAICO system.
That is why before investing and participating to a certain ICO, you must know the legitness of the project and most of all the team developers and the owner. I've noticed that there are more ICO than the recent years and i jumped to the conclusion that scams are everywhere, 90% of the ICO's might be a scam. If you got scammed, be sure to be wiser next time.
6297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Give your opinion about the current market and future on: October 06, 2018, 11:00:49 AM
We are experiencing serious downfall in the past few months. But i think the market will still recover soon. So keep holding the good days are about to come.
Downfall because we are in a current bearish market. Our current market is experience a downtrend where most of the coins are in a dip than the last quarter, i am basing the price of a coin at the end of the per quarter of the year. I think due to too much speculation we are going to open the gate of the bull to run in this year and will bring back the peak market.
6298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung: Smartphones are the Most Secure Device When Using Cryptocurrency on: October 05, 2018, 01:31:15 PM
There is nothing wrong with keeping the amount of bitcoin you are willing to lose in a hot wallet on a smartphone. Nowadays Trezor or Nano S hardware wallets are cheap and can be used with Mycelium on Android with an OTG cable keeping your private keys completely off the phone. That's the safe smart way to use bitcoin with a phone anything else is a distant second best.
This is true. It is very hard to secure things such as bitcoin. It is the apple of the eye of the hackers because of its high potential of growing. In which it is very useful today. With this people should do safety precautions with the security so that it will be safe. It is recommendable to use a cold storage and hard wallets for storing cryptocurrency especially bitcoin.
6299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DONT INVEST IN BTC IF YOU CAN'T OR AFRAID OF TAKING RISK on: October 05, 2018, 12:00:12 PM
Bitcoin is only for investors who really know enough about bitcoin and the risks that lies behind it. It's very risky investment because its price is volatile as it is primarily governed by the supply and demand. So if you really don't know what you are heading to, then don't ever enter in crypto investment.
Absolutely, since bitcoin do have really high value in the market due to investors and traders demand bitcoin contains a high volatility rate which is a main factor to consider on investing into something. Everyone who invests on bitcoin should know the risk they are going because in just a split time bitcoin could go from 0-100.
6300  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoin price based on bitcoin price? on: October 05, 2018, 10:50:54 AM
usually the altcoin price will rise when the price of bitcoin rises and the price of the altcoin will drop when the price of bitcoin falls. to take advantage of price differences in the market to seek profit so that the price of the altcoin will rise and of course the price of bitcoin and altcoin is movement always giving the same price movement
I guess it is the common mistake or misconception about the altcoin's price. Altcoin is for alternative to bitcoin since bitcoin has the highest value among all of the cryptocurrency but it does not necessary affected by the bitcoin's price just so happen that investor and trader always panic sell whenever bitcoin's price goes down.
