6281  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Court Grants Order to Freeze Hashfast’s Bitcoin Wallets on: March 29, 2014, 09:19:41 PM
Just to clear something up, it says freeze wallets up to a value of 216btc. Its like forced escrow for that particular claim.

we must have some news from bitmain
why no news?
Would you prefer news which might later change because they don't quite know for sure yet, or wait for real news?
6285  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: March 28, 2014, 11:35:26 AM
I've banned quite a few, they just reregister, pay their little fee to bypass the ip ban, and come right back. In theory it works because it increases, but that's dependent on being banned repeatedly, and I got better shit to do than ban the same guy for the same stuff over and over. Particularly when there's hundreds more just like him.
Maybe if we had an army of bears... or dogs Wink
6286  Other / Meta / Re: I'm sorry, but Inaba has just gone too far... on: March 28, 2014, 11:33:42 AM
He's not in the default trust network. You come up on 0/+1 for me. If he's a scammer, open up a scam accusation thread against him and have him become red permanently.

He's had threads in here of 100 pages but nothing happens because he (at the time anyway), was putting up 10+btc a week in advertising. I don't particular care about getting him banned, but I do care about the system doesn't even moderately support those trying to protect others. In fact it facilitates those with less ethics.

The trust system is weird although I sometimes do wonder who really trusts BFL

New buyers who come into the market, see an established company promising in hand shipping and "2 weeks" delivery on their next generation.
6287  Other / Meta / Re: I'm sorry, but Inaba has just gone too far... on: March 28, 2014, 12:31:56 AM
He's not.  I haven't touched my trust and this is what I see:

You're also pretty well known here, so...
Ah okay, I thought someone had defaulted him in January. Its just annoying because I spend so much time dedicated to trying to clean up the manufacturers game, including the shift to in hand markets. And from it I lose trust rating -_-.

Edit: Actually what is most annoying is that the community continues to facilitate him (/moderators). Its just plain fact that BFL screwed over the vast majority of customers, and I have no financial incentive or personal dealings with that company at all. But still, they aren't banned, they haven't been close to being banned, their advertising money to swindle new buyers into buying more hyper overpriced hardware is accepted.

He even pays PG not to post in his threads, yet has the audacity to accuse me of being a paid shill (I'm assuming by every non BFL company)? Just ban him and be done with it, then we can evolve and move forward. Let them run their stuff in their own forums.
6288  Other / Meta / Re: I'm sorry, but Inaba has just gone too far... on: March 28, 2014, 12:30:36 AM
He has left me negative feedback by for "conning newbies into buying from scam companies", aka by recommending NOT to buy from BFL. The guide is MY opinion about the state of manufacturers...
And that is his opinion about you. That's how the trust system works, it's just mere opinions. Although, just so you know, I totally agree with you about BFL.

EDIT: And really, DefaultTrust shouldn't exist.

Yes he is entitled to an opinion, but not a lie about me 'stealing' 50 btc and being a scammer.
6289  Other / Meta / I'm sorry, but Inaba has just gone too far... on: March 27, 2014, 09:44:53 PM
He has left me negative feedback by for "conning newbies into buying from scam companies", aka by recommending NOT to buy from BFL. The guide is MY opinion about the state of manufacturers, and because I choose not to recommend BFL (for obvious reasons), he calls me a scammer and tells people not to deal with me. He even made up a 'risked' bitcoin amount ($50,000) which is just TOTALLY false.

And because he is in default trust network (I think), I get a negative rating.... for trying to help the 1000s of newbies who come on here each month make informed decisions. BFL managed to set back the bitcoin world 9 months, why is this sort of behaviour STILL allowed?
6290  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide on: March 27, 2014, 09:37:32 PM
Sorry for the delay, this will get updated early next week.

In other news, Inaba has left me negative feedback by for "conning newbies into buying from scam companies", aka by recommending NOT to buy from BFL.
6291  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Cube Setup on: March 27, 2014, 08:53:04 PM
Seems totally Random...

I have static IP's on the deivces, even segmented them on to a seperate network to ensure there are no android devices on the same network.

Has there ever been a firmware update released for the cubes?

Maybe internally, but no.
6292  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Cube Setup on: March 27, 2014, 08:20:15 PM
Dogie, master of the cubes...

My one cube also just drops off, Green power light stays on, but no network connection or activity untill i reset the power to it.

Any thoughts, suggestions?
Cheers
Does there seem to be any pattern? Is it regular or random?

Sounds like an IP problem to me, it won't get assigned a fresh (aka good one) until its restarted.
6293  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner (1w/GH/s) on: March 27, 2014, 08:18:39 PM
But still need to see any review before ordering...

Its coming, be patient Tongue Got a 24MP camera and lighting for some better photos, more power test equipment, heat gun and fan tachometer. I really want an IR camera but will have to save up the pennies for that.

Yayyyy, so I asume you in 1st batch and got PSU 1200++ for overclocking (and some undervolt maybe) Cheesy
Cant wait !!!
I'm not sure where I placed, could be end of B1 or start of B2. 1500W PSU ready to check the headroom and overclocking out. Will do soft underclocking, won't touch voltages until we know more.

6295  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Cube Setup on: March 27, 2014, 06:56:46 PM
My cube randomly stops every 24 hours or so.....when I look at it it has a solid red led light and the configuration page says xxxxxx for all of the chips.  What could be the issue?  is it the fan rpm?  I have 2 fans running right now.  When I restart the cube manually it seems to go again after a few restarts.....

Thanks!
Power.
6296  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Avalon Avalon2 Setup + Silencer Mod on: March 27, 2014, 12:41:32 PM
We are getting close to compensation. I now can reach the "OpenWrt LuCI Authorization Required" web page. Username has root already typed in for it. I tried root for the password too and it did not work. Where can I find the password for my tplink tl-wr703n router? Do I have to do a reset? Thank you.

Try password, admin, root and nothing. Or google, this information is out there.

Added alternative IP method to dogiecoin.com version.
6299  Other / Meta / Reports accuracy; split from: ckolivas for Moderator on: March 26, 2014, 07:48:02 PM
You have reported 107 posts with 85% accuracy.

Eh, I don't get it. Sometimes I report a thread, it gets deleted or moved by a mod and my percentage goes down for the report.

I'm sure I could get that silent in <$100, its only 1000W. Unfortunately, I don't have one here.
