i think you missed the pizza guy which is the worst of all, paying 10k bitcoin for a pizza, he would kill himself witht heprice now, but maybe he add 50k bitcoin or more and 10k for him at that time was still nothing
did he post on this forum? I did hear about that though, I forget where, I think I was looking up historical bitcoin prices and it was on Wikipedia. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137.0I'm pretty sure that's the thread.

I've heard rumours about that Redbull vending machine. Apparently it accepts Bitcoin but instead of giving your change in Bitcoin, it gives you wings.

Maxwell is a ginger. He'd be likeand it would be o-Ver (or Verdun as it were... but unlike that epic WWI battle it would take seconds to finish.) I know. That sucked. Apologies to the combatants.

These forums and altcoins could have made some people very rich, or a lot poorer, with TINYEST amount of effort.
I was reading the NEM launch thread, all you had to do was reply to it and they gave you 4 million NEM. Thats worth nearly $26,000, to reply to a thread and say "i'm interested".
In another thread I was reading (I cant remember it now but it was old) people were paying in bitcoin to get some of a new coin that I think is basically dead now. They were just casually sending the developers 5 bitcoin here, 10 bitcoin there. Oh my, if only they knew....
Obviously no one knows the future, but, If you haven't ever done so I encourage you to go find some threads from like 4 or 5 years ago and just read them for a bit, you will be yelling at the screen "omg, dont give them 100 bitcoin for that you could be a rich-ish!!"
Anyway, it was just an observation.
If anyone in the "announcement" section of the forum says "all you have to do is reply here and we will send you some of our new fancy alt coins" just reply because you never know!! (i'm sure everyone would anyway, but still...)
I'm pretty sure on-forum altcoin giveaways are against forum rules. Yep! Found it: 15. No on-forum altcoin giveaways

It seems that when I run oclvanitygen with GPUs, it is also using CPU power to mine. Is there some way to disable CPU usage when using oclvanitygen with GPUs?
it has to use a little cpu to verify the key.. its back like 100 pages or so.. but if your cpu is at 100% than you have something wrong.. it shouldnt be that much. Yeah I can understand a little bit of CPU but it is maxing it out at 100% (overclocked 2500k) so I assumed it is also trying to look for keys on the CPU? Or does it really take that much CPU to verify the keys? What video card do you use?

I need to pay someone who worked for me.i have to pay 30$ in bitcoins to him.i did many attempts to buy bitcoin but 1 time scammed and 2 times failed in sites who asked id. dont want to be scammed again. can anyone give 30$ in bitcoins,i will give 35$ in neteller. Regarding scam:it was done by coinexchango.com which always shows transaction as processing so just an advice never use it ever in your life. You can send 30$ in bitcoin to any escrow of this forum and i will send you 35$ in neteller and after you confirm recieving you can tell esctow to release 30 to me. If you help me you will have 5$ profit + good wishes.
Why such a long story? Just pay the person $35 with neteller - problem solved.

How did you manage to corral last weeks bitcoin news items and developments so succinctly. You might have mentioned that bitcoin also broke through the ATH? ...but yeah, air-cooling in the Hengduans is pretty fn exciting. Thanks for the round up!

pweww..... it's just my own opinion, but this thread become ridiculous .. .. it looks like people have a lot of time to spend on this shit, for playing detectives .. or maybe they have no life .. LOL in fact , this how it's looks like : Except that it's not like burning the witch in the least; it is exactly exposing the fraudsters, scammers and sock-puppeteers of the board which is very noble and good. I for one applaud the effort as it serves to improve the quality and utility of this forum.

how much price youre minimum service you can guaranteed if youre work is good and result is true
Such obvious sig spamming is so irritating but it gave me an idea. You could really increase your market share by offering English language help. You'd make a killing on this board with all that sig campaign money floating around.

So I got them back a few hours ago but I cant spend them. I get an error: prev out is already spent
I think it is because the hash has not yet been deleted and you have to wait in order for it to disappear. Waiting is the best solution to solve this problem. You can not do nothing unless you know how to code with Bitcoin and its wallet. How long does it usually take until its deleted? ~3 days

Yesterday I downloaded Bitcoin core but under the wallet appears a message with a bar saying this "4 years and 14 weeks ago" I haven't been able to use it because of the sync. HELP PLS I don't know what to do Starting an irrelevant poll in the beginners and help thread regarding the length of time required to sync the blockchain was definitely not the thing to do.

Hi All,
What is/are the most reputable/secure exchange to use to buy/sell BTC for someone based in the US?
The ability to withdraw/deposit USD to a US based bank account is needed.
Poloniex seems good but it doesn't seem you can withdraw/deposit US dollars?
Thanks in advance..

It's a little known tidbit of fallacy that every $2016 dollars there is a difficulty reset which causes weak hands to sell off and then every $210,000 there is an investor halving that causes half of all investors to get out of Bitcoin altogether and retire. After that, the maximum price is directly related to investor interest.

Hello People, I have a big problem at moment. 2 days ago i send 0,24 bitcoins with my electrum wallet. Unfortunately i had chosen a low fee. Now, 2 days after sending, the transaction has been deleted from blockchain: "Transaction rejected by our node. Reason: Transaction was previously accepted but has been pruned from our database." In my electrum wallet the transaction is still displayed as "unconfirmed". What can i do now? Have i lost my bitcoins now? I hope, that you can help me. Here you can see the transaction: https://blockchain.info/tx/b09ae7f4656cd748a8a1ad63c39993b540e86e774dd3ae9d855eee6f7519a77dGreets ! That transaction shows today's date. Did you rebroadcast the same transaction with the ridiculously low fees attached? With a 10 satoshi per byte fee, it might never confirm. Achow101 has a sticky that can help you. I'm not sure where it is, but he recently posted it. edit: Read this - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=232979.0 (from grue) and this - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1802212.0 (from Achow101)

Your coins are already in transit awaiting confirmation. The fee is a little low so you have to wait. You should be able to accelerate this transaction at viaBTC. Actually, it aPpears there are two transactions.
