6301  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: qBot.io - Instant exchanges with artificial intelligence, return with profit on: August 08, 2019, 02:25:37 AM
How differentiate your bots from the rest of the bots that we have right now in the market? AI?

And are you guaranteeing that your bot will return you profit? LOL, we have seen a lot of bots this past couple of years and I doubt that we're going to see a self-learning, self-taught bot, humans interference is still needed.  Grin

And of course, Kyrgios is out in the first round of the next tournament. Kyle Edmund was good enough to win in two easy sets. Should have placed a bet on this one since I had a feeling Kyrgios celebrated after winning Washington and this match was quite soon after that final.

It seems nobody is watching early rounds at Montreal or at least writing about it? I usually like to bet in early rounds since it is easier to predict some upsets with good odds, but this time I didn't even had time to browse trough offer.

And just like that, the inconsistent Kyrgios strikes again.

I'm looking at Montreal right now, it looks like majority of big names have step up and move to the next round. I'll probably pass this time, not in the mode to gamble right now. Probably just enjoy the match whenever we can. Specially that my boy Tsitsipas had lost already.
6303  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain-based anti-counterfiet drugs made by Students from Cebu Phillippines on: August 08, 2019, 02:10:26 AM
First, Very proud of my kababayans!!!

Second, it's really a good initiative,

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-pharmaceuticals-fakes/tens-of-thousands-dying-from-30-billion-fake-drugs-trade-who-says-idUSKBN1DS1XJ

Quote
One in 10 drugs sold in developing countries is fake or substandard, leading to tens of thousands of deaths, many of them of African children given ineffective treatments for pneumonia and malaria, health officials said on Tuesday.

In a major review of the problem, the World Health Organization (WHO) said that bogus drugs are a growing threat as increased pharmaceutical trade, including Internet sales, open the door to sometimes toxic products.

If this project will push through specially with the backing of the government, I think it can help and solved the menace of counterfeit drugs that takes lives of millions of innocent globally. How? with the help of blockchain every legit drugs/medicine can be tagged by Pharmaceuticals companies a unique number so that it can be identified as true and legitimate.

I think actually we can say thanks to Trump. If he can't MAGA at least he can MBGA.  Grin

How many days since Trump tweet his infamous anti-Bitcoin (or lack thereof)?  Grin

Second, the effect of the US-China may have forced the price of Bitcoin even higher, Yuan devalued, those factors are critical and it's possible that wealthy Chinese as putting some of their money on the market as well.

But it's too early to say if Bitcoin can really save investors. The market is fairly young and we still don't know if investors are going to hedge to Gold or precious metals or digital currency such as Bitcoin.

As far as I know, bitcoin trading in Venezuela has been hitting records high like every week. So I don't know why the OP is surprise with this kind of news.

And Venezuelan's has been seeking refuge to bitcoin ever since the economic turmoils and embargo. Hyperinflation? You can go to Venezuela and see it for your self.  Grin
6307  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Reason Behind the Shocking Price Difference Across Crypto Exchanges on: August 07, 2019, 09:36:57 AM
I think the main reason why prices differ across exchanges is that there's no way that we can arrived at a common price. And what you have mentioned is the reasons, specially decentralization wherein there's no central authority to control what should be the prices at any given moment.

And we all know that the price is based on trading - buying/selling. One take on this is that people can do arbitrage, but that's another discussions.
6308  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC LIMITS on: August 07, 2019, 09:19:14 AM
I hope OP is not confuse between personal wallet and exchange wallet.
When it comes to personal wallet, if it's a desktop wallet, I would suggest an electrum wallet but with 500 btc, it's risky to put it all in single wallet only, you should create more but always remember the key, further, always ensure you are downloading at the correct site, so your BTC will be safe.

This could be the case here. The OP needs to learn and distinguishes personal wallet and exchange wallet. Pretty sure he was asking about exchange wallet here.

Personal wallet - no limitations.
Exchange wallet - OP needs to check the TOS of the exchanges specially withdrawal/deposit limits.
6309  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Real market manipulation on: August 07, 2019, 08:58:53 AM
Can you share us the info, if I my ask, why did you caught or watch them real time?

If you are just watching order book then it could mean nothing, it could be just whales or just average or casual joe's trying to get more money out of the market.

And this is the same reason why SEC is very reluctant on this market by the way, too many unknown entities practicing manipulation but at the end of the end, they are unknown and can't be answer to anyone.
6310  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Investors from Russia on: August 07, 2019, 08:49:02 AM
How did you obtain the data though? I mean what methods, it is really important because if project are going to used it and let say that investors on your list became surprised on how they their name or their company was listed on the first place, then it could spell trouble to projects companies, just saying.
6311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Projects Paying Out in Bitcoin or Ethereum Instead of Bounty Native Token on: August 07, 2019, 03:27:58 AM
Those projects offering bounty campaign in ICO/IEO doesn't really have any BTC/ETH funds you know why? that's why they conducting an ICO/IEO and in order to find an investor they need to run a bounty campaign to receive traffic and find niches that would invest to their project and for the investors they would give their native coin as a share to their company.

I may say that bounties that pays eth and btc is very rare.

As far as I can remember, there are bounties that pay in btc and their native token way back in 2017. But since the price of Bitcoin is really going up, I doubt that incoming projects are willing to shell out and pay their hunter BTC.

As much as a hunter hopes for a btc paying bounty campaign, it won't happen because (1) projects doesn't have the budget in the first place, (2) btc price is going up and projects doesn't want to take the risk and loss in the end specially if they can't even reach their soft cap.
6312  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin’s Price May Be Building for a Move Back Above $11K on: August 07, 2019, 03:20:08 AM
Likewise, it has to believe that bitcoin demand will be high in the 4th quarter just like it happen in previous years. Yes, we might see that it has a very slow market recovery and could be still in price struggles but then, Bitcoin has tried to face it and the community never give up of their support. It is a big help for Bitcoin to recover and seeing its price moving high.
We need a good price by the end of the year as we are entering in 2020 where halving is schedule.
The good price movement in the last quarter will be a great momentum moving next year and with that said, I'm very optimistic that this year we might at least get $15,000 or if we are too lucky we might have a bull run and will have a new ATH.

$15,000 could be hit next month for all we know. But as far as hitting a new all-time-high, I doubt that we can achieved this year. I guess the trade war between China-US has a significant effect, specially Yuan has been devalued in the last couple of days.

So couple with this political effect on the price and the drive to accumulate as much Bitcoin as we can prior to the halving, I think 2020 will be similar to 2017 bull-run, IMHO.
6313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: August 07, 2019, 02:51:07 AM

Sadly boxing is not only sports but business.  Promoters behind this Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight  wanted the money so the possibility of the rematch is huge.  They can always rig the fight so they can just put a show and possibly end the fight  in a draw.

For a business to become a success, both parties need to agree with each other.

Unfortunately, that's not the current case so this fight is far from happening for now. Mayweather will surely demand a much higher reward prize, win or loss, on this match. Pacquaio on the other hand, will not just accept much smaller rewards just for Mayweather to accept his challenge for a rematch. It's a disrespect for him.

This fight will not gonna happen unless both parties settled for a 50/50 aggreement.

It might look like a disrespectful move for a promoter to offer an 8 Division World Champion but rewards will give Senator Manny Pacquiao more respect than he has now. However, that is if Senator Manny Pacquiao will accept such offer and if Floyd Mayweather will sign a contract to slug it out again with the fighting Senator from the Philippines.

If the share is 50/50, I don't think Floyd Mayweather will even hold the paper and take a look. Remember that 1st match Floyd Mayweather signed the contract with 60/40 meaning Floyd Mayweathers fee is higher than the fee for Senator Manny Pacquiao.

Not sure if Floyd will accept 50/50, although he doesn't have the bargaining power right now, but Manny is under Al Haymon, the same advisor as Floyd. And I don't think that he will allow his boy to just get 50% of the split. At the end, Manny has no bargaining power, so if Pacquiao wanted to get a fight with Floyd then 60/40 could be a decent split, IMHO.

@bbc.reporter - Yes, that argument as to who is the greatest of that era will continue to go when they retire, who has more weight to the claim, a undefeated boxer or a eight divisional champion? Grin
6314  Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook Agrees to Pay $5 Billion, BUT will they ever stop? on: August 07, 2019, 02:41:38 AM
With them having a recent case loss I think all eyes are on them especially the ones who are handling the topic of Libra. I'm pretty sure with their own kind of cryptocurrency the government wouldn't allow them to add an extra set of feet in by putting a lot of privacy violation with their Libra. They might even go as far on changing the whole Facebook interface on what users can show and what they cannot show, before even touching the subject on how Libra will be implemented in their website.

I see this as a plan to delay the launch of Facebook Libra. It is politics to make people loose faith in Facebook and thereafter be suspicious of whatever products it rolls out. The banks are scared of Libra that they want to destroy it through this kind of distraction. I do not know why governments are scared of Libra, especially America.

I don't think that banks are really afraid of Facebook's Libra. What the US lawmakers are afraid of is the huge power that Facebook as a company can wield globally. They are afraid that a company as powerful as Facebook will continue to grow and that is what they wanted to stop at this point.

So yeah there could be some political background here, US governments doesn't want Facebook to dominate and make more money and the potential effect it can bring globally.
6315  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WILL THERE BE AN ALTCOIN SEASON AS PREDICTED on: August 07, 2019, 02:27:18 AM
i think many folks are been carried away by this current thrend by some people that " sooner or later" altcoins will BOOOM".
i don't think we will see any altcoin again with the recent flock of new altcoins in the markets. nothing is coming but investors should be careful in selecting good tokens and coins to invest in. surely, there are good altcoins out there BUT the Season, No way. we are not seeing any bull market for altcoins .

The altcoin market is very unpredictable, usually there's some correlation between Bitcoin's price and some major altcoins. However, it seems that Bitcoin is really dominating the crypto scene as we haven't seen the altcoins market making a run as well.

So there could be (1) altcoin investors are putting their funds where the money is right now, which obviously bitcoin, (2) altcoins investors grew tired of those scam ICO or projects who has a lot of potential but just tanks up.

Maybe we will see the altcoin market have it's bull-run, but I doubt it will happen this year.

6317  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do you want to invest in crypto? on: August 06, 2019, 12:55:28 PM
I want to invest in digital currency but I don't have big capital and I am thinking in what part, but by reading the topics that you make can help me more precisely choose where I will invest and because there are predictions from experts  I am more passionate about investing

I don't have the data, but I think majority of crypto investors are just like you and me, average Joe. But it doesn't mean that we can't invest in this market. It's just like trying to save 1 full BTC in our wallet, many have that goals, and I think it can be accomplished. You just need to purchase just small amounts of satoshi overtime.

As far as experts? There's no such experts in this field, they just making a 'wild and educated' guess, so don't get intimidated by that. The risk is there of course, so you should learn how to mitigate it. This whole crypto investment is not rush, it's a journey. And as you mature, sooner or later you will learn a lot of tips and tricks here.
6318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AML laws to regulate cryptocurrency on: August 06, 2019, 12:46:56 PM

Thailand Government to amend AML laws to regulate cryptocurrency. Regulations like these are more likely to help people transact with confidence.

We have seen countries around the Asia region that had at least implemented AML/KYC for local exchanges. So it make sense for Thailand and their Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) to implement it to crypto as well. But to transact with confidence? I'm not really sure about that.

Crypto is supposedly freedom, but if government will put a blanket and wanted to follow everyone transaction crypto then it will defeat the purpose on why we are in crypto in the first place, just saying.
6319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs Fury 2: The Rematch on: August 06, 2019, 12:38:16 PM
Is Wilder versus Fury 2 a go? I reckon negotiations for this might take longer because Tyson Fury joined a different organization.

However, the Anthony Joshua versus Andy Ruiz rematch negotiations is already being finalized.

Read in full https://www.boxingscene.com/hearn-i-think-i-know-joshua-ruiz-rematch-heading--141467

I'm sure it is still a go, Fury will just have to win his next match to secure the rematch with Wilder. As I have said, they have verbally agreed already. And it makes sense for them to really go at it one more time as we all know that the first fight was really controversial.

@pereira4 - I think it easier to cherry pick at this division because it is not as stack as let's say a Welterweight. The thing with the Joshua fight is that Andy Ruiz is a replacement and it's possible that he underestimated him as others have pointed out.
6320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 06, 2019, 12:23:10 PM
Nick Kyrgios has won the Washington Open final in straight sets beating Medvedev. When Kyrgios wants to he can be a great player as we have seen in this tournament, he did lose it in his last match with Stefanos Tsitsipas but was able to win. The interesting thing is that two Australians have so far won the lead up tournaments to the US Open and next is the Cincinnati Masters where Federer will be playing.

Kyrgios won due to sheer determination he didn’t let Medvedev get to him, as he simply continued to play his natural game and won. There’s no doubt about Kyrgios talent but on many occasions he fails to bring it out, but if he continues giving performances like these then he can definitely become a tennis legend. Andy Murray has said that Kyrgios is brilliant for tennis, and has urged him to to try hard and be more focused on the game an assessment I’m sure we all can agree with.

Link: https://www.atptour.com/en/news/andy-murray-says-kyrgios-is-brilliant-for-tennis
I was never been good fan of Kyrgios but I watch his last two matches one against Stefanos Tsitsipas and second against Medvedev in these both matches he was man to watch really played a great tennis now we can say he is on his peak and can go through against big players in next few tournaments but still he need to change his attitude if he wants to do some more big.

Yes I agree with both of you, this is the Kyrgios we all like to see, he has shown in the past when he is able to control himself that he can match it with the best players in the world and even beat them. He lost it a little in his match with Tsitsipas but he was able to control it at the vital stages of the match and the match against Medvedev he was able to keep his attitude under control. I just like to see him continue to do this as he can then push for a Grand Slam title but we shall see if he can keep it up as in the past when he has won tournaments, he then loses it in the next tournament.

See, if Nick Kyrgios will really focus on this tennis, this guy can really go places. It was an exciting match between him and Medvedev, of course it wouldn't be a Kyrgios show without drama so there's some specially closing the game.

I thought that the match with Tsitsipas was great, but his win against Medvedev is better. The question is, can Nick stay mentally focus on the next big stage? Or will he succumb again to pressure after winning the title. Let's see how it goes.
