I think we all thought this on here as he has the talent and potential to be one of the top players but he just can't get hes head in the right place and loses it during matches when things ain't going hes way. He still has time to turn it around as he is still in hes early twenties but time is running out for him as there are other talented players coming through the ranks and will surpass him.

@vella85 - I don't know if you heard it already, but Australian Alex de Minaur has won the Atlanta Open last Monday. This is a good accomplished for Alex, his 2nd ATP and what this makes this special is that he just lost seven first-serve points throughout the tournament and became the youngest winner at age 20. So a very bright future for this young player.
Nick Kyrgios? What a loss of talent, we have been debating for years now about the potential of this player. Too bad he has some attitude problem, so just a waste to see this guy's talent just go on the pipe.

We should enjoy these matches and moments because it will not last long. It's obvious that that Federer is nearing the end of a magnificent career and we have maybe just a few years left to enjoy in the magnificent matches of this ''great three''. I believe this will never happen again to watch three of the greatest players at the same time. Unfortunately, it seems to me that Federer no longer has the strength to beat Djokovic.
In my opinion he definitely has the strength and he could possibly beat him but that's not his purpose anymore as he knows his career will end soon. The last match Federer and Djokovic played together was won by the player that was stronger mentally which was obviously Djokovic because he managed to save 2 match points and then win the tiebreak. Fed had 2 match points so you can say he didn't have the strength. It's just that he is not so focused anymore The history of all sports games indicates that there have been great players at all times. And I am sure that with the departure, even the Federer will get a well-deserved rest, others will replace it. Focused or not Federer wont most of grand slams not playing vs Nadal or Djokovic when these two started play final Federed have negative score with both of them. However he is complete player and must say that all 3 of them are. And from some point I expect to see them battle for at least 3-4 years in all major finals.

Hello my friend, No I didn't even know and I didn't even see this on our local news about him winning. I must be honest, I haven't been following the lead up tournaments to the US Open this year. Hmm that has me thinking that I might put a small bet on de Minaur to win the US Open because as we know he is a very good hard court player and he did show last year that he plays well in the US Open. Yep we sure have mate, its a shame to see Kyrgios go down like this but he is the only one who can change it and like I said, there is still time but he must hurry as there are some good players coming through the ranks now.

Felix Auger-Aliassime is another young talent on the rise, let's see if he can at least maintained his form for this year. CITI Open has started, it is already in the round of 32. Could be another lead up tournament before the US open, lots of good players is on the tournament, including our favorite Nick Kyrgios

It's really amazing that Roger Federer, 37 years old, can still play such great tennis. Since he has stated that he plans to play for a few more years, we will surely see more tennis classics like this in Wimbledon.

I just haven't been following the lead up tournaments as much as I used to so I didn't even know he was playing. I don't know much about Felix Auger-Aliassime but I see he is doing good in the Washington Open. I also just read that Murray may return to singles in Cincinnati which would be great to see as then he could go on to play in the US Open, maybe he isn't done for just yet.

Yes my friend, I know you are a huge fan of Tsitsipas, that is why I mentioned him. I'm also liking him more on hard courts which the US Open is played on so I think the $26 odds are very good. I'm thinking about putting $20 on him to win, Del Potro also plays well at the US Open and he has odds of $13 currently which isn't bad either, if they were at around $15 I would bet on him as well.
I'll probably go with Tsitsipas and put around $50 so let's see. I haven't betting on the women's side though, and I didn't check the odds. There might be some tempting odds out there as women's side as very unpredictable. I'll probably wait what @Royse777 prediction on the women's, he has some good choices in the past so let's see. Good luck my friend, I think it is a good bet for some value and as we know Tsitsipas is a great player on hard courts and can match it with the top players. On the Women's side I was thinking maybe Osaka at $8 odds if she is fit and healthy as she is another great hard court player, I just don't think she was suited with the clay and grass and now that she will be back on hard court I think she is a great chance at winning. Tsitsipas is one of the biggest potential in the tour, hopefully he will change his attitude to seriously focus on his career get grand championship, so far I haven't seen any player's in the women's side except Osaka whom able to champion grandslam two consecutive time in hard. court. Tsitsipas is above the current roster of young and upcoming tennis player. The problem is that the top 3 is still playing high level tennis that's why they kept on winning championship one after another. No problem with him focusing on the game itself, its that competition is very though, so if you get past he mid-tier players then you need to face the elite, Djokovic, Nadal and Federer to be able to win a grand slam. That is true mate as we saw at the Australian Open Tsitsipas was able to beat Federer in the fourth round but was simply outclassed in the semi-final against Nadal. So even if the young talent can get through one of the top 3, they might still have to face another one in the finals or even the Grand Slam final where they always seem to fall. I think it will just take one of the young talent to beat one of the top 3 in a Grand Slam final and then I think it will start to change and we'll see the young talent start winning more against these top 3 guys. These your prospects have a bjg chance to beat those inthe top 3, the problem with these guys is lack of determination, in term of skills they are competitive, but they should control their emotions, they should have a good coach to motivate them.

Nick Kyrgios has won the Washington Open final in straight sets beating Medvedev. When Kyrgios wants to he can be a great player as we have seen in this tournament, he did lose it in his last match with Stefanos Tsitsipas but was able to win. The interesting thing is that two Australians have so far won the lead up tournaments to the US Open and next is the Cincinnati Masters where Federer will be playing.

Kyrgios won due to sheer determination he didn’t let Medvedev get to him, as he simply continued to play his natural game and won. There’s no doubt about Kyrgios talent but on many occasions he fails to bring it out, but if he continues giving performances like these then he can definitely become a tennis legend. Andy Murray has said that Kyrgios is brilliant for tennis, and has urged him to to try hard and be more focused on the game an assessment I’m sure we all can agree with. He lost it a little in his match with Tsitsipas but he was able to control it at the vital stages of the match and the match against Medvedev he was able to keep his attitude under control. I just like to see him continue to do this as he can then push for a Grand Slam title but we shall see if he can keep it up as in the past when he has won tournaments, he then loses it in the next tournament.

It was an exciting match between him and Medvedev, of course it wouldn't be a Kyrgios show without drama so there's some specially closing the game. I thought that the match with Tsitsipas was great, but his win against Medvedev is better. The question is, can Nick stay mentally focus on the next big stage? Or will he succumb again to pressure after winning the title. Let's see how it goes.

If he is able to and continue this into the US Open then we could have other big contender to challenge the top three. I don't want to get ahead of myself as we have seen in the past after a big win he isn't able to maintain hes focus so I'm waiting to see what happens next.

And of course, Kyrgios is out in the first round of the next tournament. Kyle Edmund was good enough to win in two easy sets. Should have placed a bet on this one since I had a feeling Kyrgios celebrated after winning Washington and this match was quite soon after that final.
It seems nobody is watching early rounds at Montreal or at least writing about it? I usually like to bet in early rounds since it is easier to predict some upsets with good odds, but this time I didn't even had time to browse trough offer.

And just like that, the inconsistent Kyrgios strikes again. I'm looking at Montreal right now, it looks like majority of big names have step up and move to the next round. I'll probably pass this time, not in the mode to gamble right now. Probably just enjoy the match whenever we can. Specially that my boy Tsitsipas had lost already.

Kyrgios defeat is surprising as I was expecting his victory at Washington to inspire him to win more titles, it’s about time he get serious about how he plays his game. The fight with the umpire regarding the lack of towels was unnecessary, and on the other hand Edmund kept his cool and won the match. Earlier rounds can get tricky at times especially in matches like this, you never know when Kyrgios is in mood and when he isn’t.
