6323  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Radioactive Iodine-131 detected over large areas in Europe. on: February 23, 2017, 02:48:37 PM
Well in the case of Norway and Finland, it's probably due to Russia nuclear testing on the north pole or in the seas and the ocean current has driven it over to the coast of those two countries. But as I can see it's mostly found in west EU and Northern EU, but I find it interesting that they haven't found anything in UK? So it must have came from the within the central EU. It's probably nothing, probably some factories or plants dropping their nuclear waste as they shouldn't.  Cheesy

Last time when there was a major nuclear accident in Europe (Chernobyl in Ukraine), the radiation moved in a North-Northwest direction. Sweden and Finland were particularly affected. This might seem far-fetched. But is there any chance of a nuclear accident occurring in Ukraine? Either in the government controlled area, or in the rebel controlled Donbass?

I think the artic cold descended over Europe in the early winter this year so the winds were actually north winds.  Chernobyl incident occured in April when the south winds would become more prominent.  I'm not a meteorologist however.
There's a facility in north-western Russia used to decomission and store old nuclear reactors... Maybe they took one on for decommisioning  that was still critical?

ViaBTC does it again.  I believe they do the Bitcoin community a great service with their accelerator.
6325  Economy / Goods / Re: Buy Soap with BTC (Extra Pure, Exceptional Quality) on: February 23, 2017, 05:02:41 AM
The best part is that essential oils are highly concentrated/purified liquids...So the vague ingredient at the end is the unknown  one you will have a reaction to.

Good soap is simple...But like bread you can make it out of anything that will powder.

Just try to get the ingredients list of Dove products, if you find out what's in their 99.9% pure soap, then tell me wich of those ingredients are not 'vague ingredient' from your point of view !

Dove never claimed to be 99.9% pure soap - are you thinking of Ivory?  I believe Ivory claims to be 9944/100% pure soap.  If memory serves me correctly, Dove contains one-quarter moisturizing cream and you're not fully clean until you're Zestfully clean.

6326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a plausible theory for a network spam attack? on: February 23, 2017, 03:27:37 AM
1. Be a large miner.
2. Collude with other top miners to attack the network with spam/high fee transactions.
3. Solve blocks and return their own transaction fees.
4. Rake in the legitimate ultra high fee transactions first from users who desperately need confirmations during an attack.
5. Profit???
6. Rinse and repeat.

Why recycle the fees and rewards you already earned when there are new rewards and new fees to collect every ten minutes?  No, I think that fraud, collusion and racketeering are best left to the big banks.

6327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Please help I've had a transaction problem on: February 23, 2017, 03:10:51 AM
I was just able to submit your transaction now.  On average, ViaBTC finds a block every 3 hours so it should confirm relatively soon.

6328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 0.0001 btc transaction fee how long to get confirmed? on: February 23, 2017, 02:15:40 AM
Success!  Thanks to ViaBTC.  Awesome service.
You're welcome.

6330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Please help, my transaction is unconfirmed and has been for ages on: February 23, 2017, 01:59:41 AM
My transaction ID is 59706f0b05fce6e712210698c833826055f531e94e52a7bd9ea25d65ee9e8bd0

I am using electrum and everything is set to default.

I went to here and I can't make sense of it: https://bitcoinfees.21.co/

How long is it going to take for my coins to send and begin confirmation?

Do I have to leave my electrum open and computer on for it to send?

Is there any way to cancel the payment and start again with a higher fee? Or resend it?

I'm a complete noob and I have spent ages on Google with no answers I understand.

I appreciate any response!

Your transaction size is 192 bytes and you attached a 0.0001 BTC fee.  This means you paid ~52 satoshis per byte.
Look on the left side of the page at https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ under the fees heading and you can see where your transaction fits in.  Then follow that over to the right side of the page under the delay heading to see the expected number of blocks it could take to confirm your transaction.

Unfortunately, I cant accelerate your tx because ViaBTC has already hit it's hourly limit.

6331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 0.0001 btc transaction fee how long to get confirmed? on: February 23, 2017, 01:30:06 AM
0.0001 btc transaction fee how long to get confirmed? I received a payment from a casino, but the fee is only 0.0001 btc. It is been 8 hours already and still not confirmed. What happen if it does not confirmed within 24 hours? Blockchain.info is not displaying the transaction.

Post the txid and we'll tell you more precisely how long it will take.  The fee alone is not enough information to make that determination.

Thanks in advance

So 44 satoshis per byte is on the light side as far as transaction fees go and it slots your transaction somewhere within 5-144 blocks for a confirmation.  The good news is you did manage to make the minimum .0001 BTC/kb fee to qualify for acceleration so I have attempted to accelerate your transaction through ViaBTC - your transaction should be included in ViaBTC's next block.

If you check https://bitcoinfees.21.co/, you can get a good idea of the fee you should include in order to get the desired transaction speed.  If you aren't in a hurry, there's nothing wrong with the fee you included; your transaction will eventually succeed.

My sister has a rule that she doesn't "eat anything with eyes or legs".

I don't see her much.

Well then I pity the blind, parapalegics who find themselves in her vicinity.  Someone should warn them!

6333  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Radioactive Iodine-131 detected over large areas in Europe. on: February 22, 2017, 06:43:57 PM
In January 2017 radioactive Iodine-131 is detected in Norway(Svanhovd),and in Finland(Rovaniemi). After that traces of radioactivity is measured in Poland,Germany,France,Czech Republic, and Spain.France is first country who inform their public about it,although in all the reports is stated that the measured levels do not pose a threat to human health.

There is speculation that the source could be from a Russian nuclear testing or is come from medical use since they use Iodine-131.Although officially there was no risk to human health, no one has yet claimed responsibility for this radioactive polluting.

Given the 8 day half-life of 131I, it must be some very recent event.

6335  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do people become vegan? on: February 22, 2017, 02:30:11 AM
This question is relevant to me as I just turned myself to be a vegan when January started. Though I am not a hundred percent vegan, I am really trying not to eat those meat. My only reason is just I realized how brutal it is to kill animals in order for me to eat their meat. I feel pity for those slaughtered animals. For some people, it would be just nothing but for me, their lives matter.

Okay.  You can't be anything other than 100% and call yourself vegan.  Strictly speaking, eggs, milk and honey are out.  What are you eating that disquLifies you?

There are these two instances (first in January and the second just this February) that I have to eat from a fastfood since that was already late at night and I didn't have my dinner yet. Too bad, there were no available veggies in that fastfood.

Yeah, it can be difficult to find vegan food when you're on-the-road.  I know.  I'm not vegan but a special someone near and dear to me is and sometimes finding food is tricky.  McDonalds french fries are not vegan which actually shocked me.  If you're going to be serious about it, you have to do some research.  I found a web site that helps when we're travelling.
Sometimes it's not possible to find a restaurant - even fast food - and then you have to get creative and make sure to read the labels.  Many flat breads are vegan (stay away from naan bread) and you can find hummus or peanut butter almost anywhere (or nuts in general for that matter).   We stopped at a little gas station/variety store while on a road trip last summer and ended up eating watermelon (I always carry a knife), apples with peanut butter and potato chips.
If you have access to a microwave, there are vegan options in the frozen food section - Amy's is our go-to entrée while on-the-road but be careful, some of their entrees are vegetarian.  Microwave-in-bag veggies are awesome too.
Keep in mind that veganism is not just about food.  Good luck.

Just wondering, why do people become vegan Is this because of health, ethics or something else?

Can't you just research this yourself using Google?
Some people do it for religious reasons, some people can't afford meat, some people are very empathetic towards other animals and some people simply have too many choices - that pretty much covers it.  Oh wait, it can also be trendy.

6338  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining my own cloud? on: February 21, 2017, 03:40:55 AM
I'm the owner of a mid sized solar powered company with I think a good few hundred cpus and servers. I've been wondering if there is such a software I can install on all my machines that during off business hours will start mining for me and stop during normal business hours?

Anyone know if there is a way to do so? These are all windows based.
Even though your power is free through solar, I don't think you would make enough to cover the shortened life of your equipment.

Why are so many people operating under the misconception that solar power is free?  It is not!
In fact, it is one of the most expensive forms of electrical energy currently available barring some outrageously generous government incentives.  It is alleged to prolong the life of the planet however.

6339  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining my own cloud? on: February 21, 2017, 03:26:21 AM
Welpppppppp. That sucks. Really isn't a way to make money mining anymore it seems. Wonder how any coins are staying afloat.....not dying completely....

6340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does anybody know who's sending these transactions? on: February 21, 2017, 03:15:42 AM
One of my old wallets that I haven't used in a long time randomly got sent a tiny amount of bitcoin, and when I looked at the address that sent it, I noticed they made a ton of similar transactions->all for tiny amounts of bitcoin.  We're talking transactions so small that the fee would be like 20%.

See: https://blockchain.info/address/1NALkMPyg3VCNRwzkByjyetz3y4ehqpKLw

I thought maybe some account I had a long time ago swept some dust off to clear their records but I looked through all my old accounts and for the life of me can't figure out who's sending these out.  Anybody know where this money is coming from?!  My accountant keeps an eye on my old wallet addresses to see if there's any new activity or I wouldn't even have noticed.

Really bizarre.

Did you purchase any "cloud mining" contracts?  Following the chain of payments, one of the addresses which received a relatively large portion of the coins was bitknock.com - recognize the name?

Here's what they're planning next - http://bitjump.io/
