No, receiving sMerits is not easy at all, and can be rather frustrating often for many. Even so, the idea is to try to shine and that requires effort and persistence. The way I see it, persist or cave in.
Actually, it isn't that difficult to earn merit. Just try making a thoughtful or interesting post about something else besides merit.  |

That's what I've been saying ever since merit was implemented but they're being persistent.  That's because they hear rumors of a merit black market. Assuming no sources are supplying this market, it will eventually dry up. |

Banks should be insured; I don't know if that's possible for a crypto-bank without a lot of work/lengthy legal process.
In order for a crypto bank to be insured, they would have to have very tight security and monitoring tools. The insurance company will want to make sure the funds aren't stolen by the most likely source - internal. |

LOL, Merit sources get their sMerits refilled every month so that they can distribute them for that month.
Actually, I have noticed that my sMerit is refreshed a month after I use it. So as long as I am spending it daily, I have new sMerit every day. It doesn't all come in one chunk at a certain time of the month. |

I am asking because if for example I toke an loan of 0.1 BTC that worth 1000USD and I said i will repay next month and the next month 0.1 BTC worth 1500 USD
so how much i need to return still the 0.1 BTC or 1000 USD?
If you take out the loan in BTC, you need to return the same amount of BTC.A famous account called dank once got burned by this. He was taking out small loans and repaying them, but the last time he tried the price skyrocketed and he couldn't pay back. |

- Merit hasn't removed the spam, maybe has reduced it, but who knows?
Merit has not been around long enough to effectively reduce spam. Theymos stated that although it may be abused, eventually the abusers will run out of merit. Right now there is a market for merit, so people just assume they will be able to buy their way past the wall if they need, so they spam as usual. Once these sales dry up people will stop spamming. Just have patience. |
