I do agree with it. Potter must be sacked. Potter recently claimed that the main problem was not him but the players itself. It can't even be accepted. Potter has also become the worst coach in the history of premier league. This can't even be accepted. Potter didn't have mentality to coaching chelsea. To go or not to go? Chelsea risks relegation with their consistent poor performance week after week if Potter stays. Alot of fans have said things like "he is not ready for the job," "Chelsea needs a top manager that can salvage the situation," "he is a mid-table manager,". The fans are so impatient, and I understand. However, they should remember that Arsenal's Arteta faced the same situation at the beginning of his management in Arsenal but look at him now and the team he has built up. Todd wants to avoid the legacy of Ibrahimovic in sacking coaches at every slight mistakes. I think he wants to undoubtedly give Potter chances to the end prove himself to the end and I am in support that he should be given to next season to use the new signings to do good works. Chelsea is not in good form so their next match which is with Tottenham might favour the away team because they are more better currently than chelsea
Tottenham in the fight against AC Milan did displayed a strong resistance and will be even more deadly when playing in the premier league especially now that they have just stepped into the top four zone. Tottenham needs more points in order to completely Fizzle out Newcastle from the top 4 flight and I can boldy bet on them to win in this match against chelsea cuz I'm sure chelsea is currently an unserious team. As for Lewandowski, he hasn't still proven himself with Barcelona jersey against big teams. He has always had problems on scoring goals against them. Teams like Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are good examples for this.

Its not too bad for PSG since they still lead the league one title race, and still has the hope of competing in the next year champion league competition, but I so much feel pity for chelsea and Liverpool who shall have nothing to fight for if kicked out of champion league, it will be so bad to see two top England clubs end the season like this.

You are right that in the second leg things can change significantly, that is not impossible in football. Moreover, they are only left behind on an aggregate of just one goal. As for Liverpool they haven't even played the first leg yet, we don't know what they will get in that first leg yet, although now it's clear Real Madrid are the big favorites in this first leg. I'm not going to comment too much on what they've done this season in the Premier League (for Chelsea and Liverpool). Yeah. But what really matters most is that the aforementioned team's doesn't look like they will do well in the second leg. There is a really good race among a few teams for finishing the season in top four. I think Inter will definitely be one of the members in this area together with Napoli. When it comes to the last two members I'm going with Roma and Milan. Roma are already doing a good job now and this season is a big opportunity for them to benefit from with this general performance level.
When it comes to Milan their recent performance has been quite inconsistent. This has just caused them to lose some positions in the standings as well. But I still hope to see them recovering and consolidating their presence in top four.
Yes, actually Milan is performing very well recently, and they could win games the SeriaA against many teams but I don't think they are even near to Nalopi because they need Napoli to lose some points while Napoli currently has 62 points and Inter Milan just got 47 points so far which can be hard for Inter to decrease the points they need, Also if Simone Inzaghi and his players don't use the chance and lost some points they have they have Roma and Ac Milan fight for hight positions on the table. Milan is doing pretty well this days, and I can say they are at the avenue of escaping the champion league round of 16. But Is pertinent that they are no more in the picture when naming clubs that could win the scudetto this season. Even though they many stronger hands, Stefano Pioli can do better. It will be a good step if he can s least kick Tottenham off way in the UEFA champion league round 16. |

They have always been a big upstacle to some top clubs like Real Madrid Celta Vigo, Atletico Madrid, Real Sociedad, Villareal and many more top Spanish clubs, but yet still they can't escape the relegation zone. I haven't watched the Bundesliga standing look like this since long time, knowing that Union Berlin could have taken the lead if they had won against Schalke. Unfortunately, Schalke forced them to an unexpected draw. The competitiveness in any league is fascinating and it can help draw the attention to this league. I hope we see similar standing at the end of the season, although I believe other teams are still far from Bayern Munich with regard to finance and performance. I won't blame Union Berlin for the lost against Schalke, their are sometimes for failure in football. Union Berlin. Union Berlin has really tried this season to be among the top teams making Bundesliga very interesting. Union Berlin is strong enough of defeating Schalke, but I think Schalke is just lucky playing a draw with Union Berlin. I wasn't happy to see that result. I wanted to see them top the Bundesliga so they could be more pressure and heat in the top four standing. But be that as it may, I'm so happy to see the current nature of Bundesliga football. If things continues like this, the champion league and European league of the next season will be so competitive and exciting to watch. Let's see what will happen in the Bundesliga at the end. |

Boehly is backing Potter for now maybe but I don't think this will go on for a very long time. I think a similar scenario to what Barcelona had between Laporta and Koeman can happen in the summer. You might remember that Laporta also supported Koeman despite the bad results. But not much time later he decided to part ways with him and brought Xavi in his place. I think Potter will also be sacked by Chelsea if the results don't improve too much in the remaining matches.
Potter made a statement like he wasn't the real problem in this. But if we still don't see any improvement until the end of the season then I'm afraid he will also have a big contribution to this mess.

PSG's performance right from their clash with Monaco and Marseille was quite too weak. I'm so surprised that PSG can't perform without the presence of the three duos on the front line. Even in the last match against Bayern Munich in the UEFA champions league, they were struggling so much to find the back of the net while playimg 10 against 11. If I compare Eric Ten hag, and Mikel Arteta's Success stories, both look closely similar. Ten hags and Arteta while losing were fully aware of what is wrong with the team and how to fix it, and within a short period they discovered a quick solution. For Ten Hag, he bought Casmero for the Dm and Ericson for the CM. For Arteta, he bought Fabio Viera and Marquinhos who now adds the loose creativity to Arsenal Midfield today. liverpool vs madrid will be an exciting match because currently, Liverpool's performance is not in the best condition in the EPL, but I agree with what you said that Liverpool is a team that is difficult to predict. the team that will win is a team that has a strong winning mentality and madrid looks like it will come out victorious in this 1st leg.
I can bet my last cent on that match that Liverpool will loose in the first leg and get knock down on the second leg and not because Madrid are experienced team, it's just that Liverpool doesn't have the balls to get pass this level. They have come far but I don't think there is a team that would advance from this leg with broken formation, their best Van Dijk is back and played average yesterday, nothing spectacular about Liverpool current form. So far in the Champions League, only Liverpool has been able to beat Napoli, so Napoli's performance can still be said to be very stable and good, facing Frankfurt shouldn't be a big problem for Napoli, because Frankfurt is not the favorite team to win and their performances in their local league also not so good.
A team can underperform in the domestic league and still do well in another league as long as they don't have consistent losses but I can tell you for free that Napoli is good in every way, they could call their league a farmer league but they are far from an average team in this knockout stage. Liverpool is one of the England clubs that is known for outstanding performance in European competitions. It's a shame last year that the previous owner Abramovich had to leave England and of course the previous coach Thomas Tuchel should have given him more opportunities to improve Chelsea. It feels like Chelsea are rushing things for no reason about making Felix's deal permanent now.
At least the speculations say that they are planning to sign him on a permanent deal soon. But instead I think they should wait and see how he will perform in the rest of the season first. Then they can make a decision about this transfer. I know that they are eager to solve their striker issue completely as soon as possible. But this season is already wasted for them. So they had better move on more carefully about deciding upon their attacking line. They will have the whole summer ahead as well. Maybe there will be a better opportunity than even Felix.
I even wanted this for United but couldn't work Chelsea should not do so because nkuku, sterling, Ziyech and recently added players will nkt have enough game time to start Felix should make the return back to spanish league he will be nice to replace Neymar once he leaves Chelsea shouldn't rush into permanently making Felix deal just because he can play football. Barcelona are still consistently performing this season, only in European competition they have had bad results but in the league Barca only lost once to Real but after that they always won a point, either one point or a full point, that's why they can have an 8 point advantage, if they stay consistent then Barca will win this season and next week they will only face Almeira, the bottom team with more defeats than draws or wins which may be degraded, so Barca will again add points.
Consistency is the only way forward Barcelona can make it , if they make any mistakes at this point it will be so hard for them to get the championship. I think Barcelona really needs to work on their attacking, it is not very impressive. It is nice to for them to come out victorious in the game. looking at the statistics of the attacks carried out by barcelona, in fact they already have an almost perfect front line, it's just not that solid, for example, lewandowski, when he was at bayern, he was able to score goals in almost every match that bayern did, all because of muller providing assists to Lewandowski, whereas now there are many Barcelona players who want to score goals so they forget about assists, which is very important. Not just Barcelona, That is the problem most clubs are having. Dependency on central attack works very well for Bayern Munich especially when Lewandowsky was there. They were many creative midfielders who were always able to locate him in every match. Leicester used to be a hard but to crack especially for top clubs like Manchester united, chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal. But it was so exciting to see Manchester united dominating through out the match. And i'm sure that Ten hag is setting the system to do more bith in the EPL. And Europa league.

Dortmund continue to destroy every obstacle they have against themselves these days. This time they did it against Hertha Berlin by a solid 4-1 result.
It was the expected thing from them to do of course. They can be considered as the most profitable team at top positions on this week. Because Bayern Munich and Union Berlin both lost points at the same time. The championship race is getting more heated every week. Bayern Munich's being out-of-form in the league helps especially Dortmund and Union Berlin for the leadership race. But let's see how much this will go like it.
I can't say that Dortmund is already good to go even with the fact that they have secured a win in the first leg of champion league round of 16, reason being that they still don't have a convincing protection to win against a strong team. Lately, their winning is against a weak team and as such comes their success story, they don't appear in my picture of "who could win the champion league this year", as for Bundesliga title, Bayern is still in the image. |
