We're second place with one third of bitcoin's 24 hr fiat value on bter with the Chinese Yuan.

very interesting development... one of our key target markets is taking an interest in Darkcoin it seems.

Buy on Cryptsy just pushed it past 8.

Big buywall is gone though. Still there on finex.

its still there on cryptsy at 0.007 .. but the buy wall (20.6K) has moved to the bottom because of all this upward price pressure

http://dc-charts.com/depth_drk.php?ex=2&cu=0&sw=2&tz=5&ar=0&dl=2&js=1&sc=0&ba=2&re=0

edit 1 : also 5K & 3K buy walls right above the 20.6K buy wall

edit 2 : i cant believe how fast i'm reaching my break-even-point

On Thurs. (29) My client picked up several pages of unconfirmed transactions. I am thinking that this is due to being on the wrong chain? I have deleted peers.dat, reindexed, and zapped the wallet, but they are still showing. Any suggestions?

Edit--I am running: Darkcoin Core version: v0.11.0.14-7fafe5d-beta (64-bit)

make sure you zap it with correct commandline option name : -zapwallettxes
i guess deleting the whole blockchain (except for your wallet.dat) and syncing from scratch would be my advice.
and check if you end up on the correct blockchain with one of the blockchain explorers.

Yup--I misspelled the zap command. Embarrassed
Thanks! Smiley

good to hear its fixed

Seems like we're back.

6346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ❢❢❢ The value proposition of each coin: BTC, DOGE, LTC, DRK, PPC, XRP, NXT, etc. on: January 31, 2015, 08:13:48 PM
to OP :

with regards to DRK :

Quote
- OK, now we're getting to something different. Completely anonymous, untracable transactions. This is worth a lot. This is what people think bitcoin has but it doesn't. If bitcoin had this, it would be worth a lot more.
- How well does the anonymous transaction thing actually work? I'd love to hear people's experiences with using Darkcoin.
- Broken architecture?

- It works fast and it works very well, they increased the number to mix towards 16 rounds and pretty much streamlined the whole thing making it run more smoothly with better feedback towards end-users. They pretty much closed all vulnurabilities and bugs they found so far very fast (there may still be some lurking around as its a lot of new code but i have no doubt about darkcoin's developers capability to deal with those)

- They incorporated Bitcoin into Darkcoin (making Darkcoin a fork of Bitcoin instead of Litecoin) to make it more Bitcoin compatible, API / Merchant wise and they are now focussing on further developing InstantX and preparing it for the public Testnet. I have therefore no idea what you exactly mean with broken architecture. It all just works .. and it
works well.

* Next thing (after InstantX) will be implementing some form of two factor authorization on decentralised blockchain level, this will increase security drastically in my eyes.  http://newsbtc.com/2015/01/26/evan-duffield-proposes-2-factor-authentication-2fa-darkcoin/

* The Masternode network is yet another thing that seperates Darkcoin from any other cryptocurrency, its decentralised and its getting increasingly profitable to run masternodes or even share a masternode with some people :

https://i.imgur.com/kHW81Vc.png

http://www.darkcoin.cm/index/masternodes_map
http://www.darkcoin.cm/index/masternodes/

* Last but not least take a look at the price for these last few weeks, you will see a steady rise and some very very solid buying support walls (for some time now) on several exchanges, this means Darkcoin got some serious attention and has been given time to further develop its technologies without worrying about price too much.

Spreadcoin is testing Instant X ---- http://spreadcointalk.org/index.php?topic=37.msg908#msg908

I don't know about you guys but I think it's really disrespectful of them to take it from Darkcoin before Darkcoin has implemented it fully.  Evan's work deserves more respect.  Are they violating any sort of license we can enforce?

its opensource so i dont mind that they use it / experiment with it, but i do hope they realise that InstantX is in a very alpha state opensourced
and that Evan gave a formal warning not to use it ''as is'' ...  as there is still a lot of work to be done with that code by the Darkcoin development team.

How Anonymous is Bitcoin? A Backgrounder for Policymakers

http://www.coindesk.com/anonymous-bitcoin-backgrounder-policymakers/

my advice to OP : learn more about Darkcoin, its not only a great tool to anonymize your transactions but
is also constantly developing new technologies (InstantX for speedy transactions and Two Factor Auth on blockchain level for
higher security)

quick question : when you update your hot MN wallet (stop darkcoind, install new darkcoind, restart darkcoind) without protocol change and you do it quickly (within a few minutes)
am i correct in assuming you will maintain your current masternode payment position ?

I'm having issues with my Darkcoins...

more info needed...

wallet.dat seems to have gotten corrupted trying to upgrade.

try reverting back to a backup, delete your peers.dat and start the wallet with command option -reindex

edit : which previous darkcoin wallet / client version were you using ? If you were using a rather old client / wallet
then you may need to export / import yr priv key (all of them) into a new wallet.

I've recovered a few coins, looks like 90% of them were sent out to a mixer or something a bunch of 1 DRK transactions then a few 0.1 DRK

you can try two more things :

- press reset button, close & open wallet and see if that changes anything
- activate coin control (settings / options / wallet / enable coin control feautures) --> go to send --> inputs --> list mode --> check for any locked amounts -->
unlock them manually --> close and open wallet.

i'm doing some mixing with a small amount of darkcoins .. its looking good so far (4 denominate rounds in about 45 minutes). Its mostly the waiting on transaction confirmations
(1 confirmation) thats slowing things down a bit.

Thanks to UdjinM6 we have a more specific MN payments schedule overview : https://github.com/darkcoin/darkcoin/commit/f3710ec4de72d15a83652de1bc8d6d42c1739198
(with recalculated dates and also the blocknumbers are mentioned at which the MN payment increase comes into effect) :

if(nHeight > 158000)                         ret += blockValue / 20; // 158000 - 25.0% - 2014-10-24
if(nHeight > 158000+((576*30)* 1))  ret += blockValue / 20; // 175280 - 30.0% - 2014-11-25

Handy link to check status on your MN's, you can check several MN's at once. Provided by Elbereth at the Darkcointalk forum some time ago.

Anyone else getting the feeling we are getting pumped? I mean not by a natural growth Cheesy

i think the big buy walls on Cryptsy & Bitfinex that function as lower floors have created a very bullish market
right now ... with a strong element of upward focussed price movement.

6360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] Darkcoin | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW and Darksend | Instant TX on: January 20, 2015, 07:12:46 PM
Anybody know what this means?

Status: conflicted
Date: 20/01/2015 18:21
To: Xnsj1QcsvxPVUsBjPvYVNFEmTk3MPzqTnw
Debit: -100.00 DRK
Net amount: -100.00 DRK
Transaction ID: 658fdb31afa56cb818b45617ba03bf785c2918a5a5a60ab00e999b1111b41407-000
Hmm look like a double spend !?

Definitely not a double spend on my part!  Just a normal TX that says it is conflicted.

I guess we're all conflicted in one way or another.  I think i'll give it some space to find itself (let the network work out what to do).  It hasn't arrived at its destination yet but has been deducted from my balance.

hahaha  +100 for humor! I'm sure it will be sorted. How many confirms? Have you tried zapping the wallet?

Just tried a zap and its still just sitting there feeling conflicted.

Transaction ID isn't showing up in the explorer...

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/search.dws?q=658fdb31afa56cb818b45617ba03bf785c2918a5a5a60ab00e999b1111b41407

and if you check total balance of yr wallet with the block chain explorer, has the 100 been withdrawn from your total balance there too ? if not then maybe a -reindex or -rescan on yr wallet is necessary ?
