They'll notice it if those Jr. Member and Newbie high school kids regularly visits Meta. No need to post this kind of thread and I guess they should visit Merit stats even not regularly to know more about merit system in deeper sense.

What are you trying to implicate? If you want to enlighten about a single thread by one person and get huge amount of merits then visit this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=toptopicsat

6382  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ted Kaczynski - The Unabomber | Was he right? on: September 28, 2018, 03:10:50 AM
I would love to know the opinions of people who are interested in this very cutting edge field of blockchains and decentralisation. A lot of people who I often speak with believe that Ted Kaczynski was ahead of his time. And a lot of the ideas in his manifesto are becoming true...

Do you agree with Ted's Manifesto? and could there of been a better way today for him to have got the attention he needed for this important debate?

For anybody who's interested in his manifesto its available here.
http://editions-hache.com/essais/pdf/kaczynski2.pdf

I've read up to paragraph 50 so far, and I agree with a lot of what he/they write.

Who is the "we" that the text refers to. Did he write this himself or with other people. This is some very interesting material.
It has been written by a group I guess so. That "we" is the hint, he are correct with what are happening by now imagine it's a 1995 article.

I would rather live in hunter gatherer times, but unfortunately I'm forced to live with all this technology which stresses me out a lot and makes my life really hectic.  There is no where I can go to live off the land because every piece of earth is supposedly owned by someone.

That's the saddening truth even though in conscious sense no one really can own the land we have on earth there is no human capable of making a land or soil.

Of course he was right.  Technology is a two edge sword.  On one hand, it helps save and prolong lives, improves the quality of our lives and on the other, it provides for a more efficient way to extract natural resources, change the natural landscape, kill and eradicate other species of plant and animals faster than ever before in our human history.

I agree with him on the symptoms of the problem.  I do not think technological progress is to blame though.  It is a means not the actual root cause.

The root cause of our issues is the human population growth.  If we had zero or negative population growth in all countries around the globe, we would not have these issues.  We could actually get a handle on recycling, reducing our impact on the natural environment.

Our human civilization will not survive if we continue on this path.  The efforts to consume less, renewable energy, recycling etc. will not work if the global population doubles every 60-70 years.

To solve this problem, we would need to change our natural instincts to reproduce, something that helped us to be where we are now.

Population growth is the inconvenient truth.

It's for the whole world to act about the population growth problem but with no real coordination on almost all countries I don't think it is achievable. I know it may start domestically but I think unity is the key.

New into this thread, but probably I'll keep this bookmarked on my way to bitcoin price discussions and etc. and see some helpful replies on the experienced people around here. Probably the most replied thread in the bitcoin forum.
6386  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: September 27, 2018, 02:44:42 PM
I think it would be better to have a KYC system to open a new account. Then you can not make spamming account. I think this is good comment for the site.
Hell no for a forum, and is this forum a investment site/bank to "Know Your Customer/s"? And theymos wouldn't do this even though he have the green-light approach all over the forum.
6387  Other / Meta / Re: Most annoying word of forum on: September 27, 2018, 02:35:48 PM
"hacked" this word nuke the meta section.

6388  Other / Meta / Re: So.... I am a NEWBIE again! on: September 27, 2018, 06:27:23 AM

6389  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Good example. on: September 27, 2018, 03:15:42 AM
Sana maging eye opener lalo na sa ating mga pinoy na we can dominate too. Well we can see Silent26 and mjglqw too as good posters and helping the forum, hope na gawin din natin ang landas na tinatahak nila ngayon as good examples na deserve sa mga merits.
6390  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Mangyayari paba ang bullrun ngayong taon ? on: September 26, 2018, 06:39:50 AM
We are all sa speculation lang and what I can say you're in a FUD situation, think always sa bright side ng crypto, sa pag-aral ko sa bitcoin price it almost talaga na may pagbaba ang bitcoin in recent years even wala namang news na ikasisira nito. What I believe is whatever we are on bearish or bullish na merkado bitcoin ay nasa tamang landas remember na pagdating ng panahon na ang bawat satoshi will can even buy a cellphone or even greater than that, and I'm hoping for it to happen.

If you want change mate then act as one. As per review on your posts history I can see that you're into bounty posts. Is this your medication posts?
6392  Other / Meta / Re: Buying copper membership program please help! on: September 25, 2018, 01:54:23 AM
So, basically we can wear a signature after getting a copper membership that costs .002btc, is that right?
So that's what you aim for I guess but do take note copper membership is like a Member rank but it depends on the BM if you are to be accepted. Copper Membership is not an assurance you'll be eligible on signature campaigns. I do guess a good BM take a due diligence to review your past posts.

6393  Other / Meta / Re: Writing a welcome message on: September 24, 2018, 12:51:26 AM
Maybe add Tomatocage Stake your bitcoin address here to reduce someone's who usually complains about account being hacked or stolen and maybe introduce the copper membership account and it's features comparing it to being a newbie rank.
6394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Another December Bull run on: September 23, 2018, 05:10:34 PM
I have this assumption that we may be having another December bull run, though may not be as high as we had last year. Bitcoin however have maintained a very good support level around $6000 since this year and there is no sign of breaking lower.

Sampling opinions from various investors show that there is this excitement and anticipation of another end of the year bull season and aside TA and FA, the market is equally controlled by the investors psychology and with this whole charade of an expected December bull season, I am of the opinion that it will likely come as a lot of persons are already waiting as we have a large number who are "for" than those "against".

I am not be that a trader but somehow on my over a year in this forum I see lot of bull run posts when the December month comes in, does statistic really shows as always of bull run and in what percentage it comes up when the year comes end and is this consecutive bull run on all year when bitcoin goes publicly? I just see the bull run of last year and it was really nice bounce of bitcoin price.
6395  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk need AI to control comments? on: September 23, 2018, 02:04:50 PM
I think when the new rule start, the forum need an auto system to control comments. The manager team need to build standard rules. Maybe posts with less than 75 characters will not be deleted. So AI will follow the rules. It makes our forum better and easy control. What do you think about that? What is your solution?
An AI doesn't needed and imagine a post with less than 75 characters will not be deleted yet it doesn't add on the topic and that AI should be train on grammar and accordance on the topic too if the post is meet. AI is not needed if the human who posts it know what he does.
6396  Other / Meta / Re: Demerit system should be harder on: September 21, 2018, 03:34:46 PM
Probation might work on demerit system but as mjglqw said it will require that much manpower and you may find a good overview on LoyceV's deMerit source application I like the idea however I guess it will take time and studies in regards to it before it will be fully implemented.
6397  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] Members who support newbies - Thanks! on: September 21, 2018, 05:37:30 AM
Thanks for the statistic. It shows that we always have active members to help deserved newbie rank up.
Yes but those members will ignore on the likes of you.

Ripple pump recent days due to the news that PNC Financial Services Group Inc will use Ripple’s blockchain solution xCurrent to speed up overseas transactions held by U.S. commercial clients. PNC is one of top ten largest U.S. banks so the partnership between Ripple and PNC make this pump of XRP.
This post of yours may consider plagiarism since I've read the post at cointlegraph and clearly you just copy it out there with 113 characters including spaces and not giving credits where you've found it. Hope anyone found out if it's really plagiarized content or not and do correct me.

6398  Other / Meta / Re: Fathers account was banned (70 year old) can I please know what the did? on: September 21, 2018, 05:25:05 AM
This one is talking about his father and I feel a sympathy on it. But from what I observe now there are numerous amount of threads involving their family on the line, I guess this has been on the ruckus made by theymos on the merit requirement of Jr. Members though this post you made is not connected to merit but with my deduction, what would you do if this account get back? Send the 1 merit to you? Use your fathers account to join on campaigns? Do really your father own that account or it was you? Though I don't have to question the latter since having alt accounts is not discouraged in this forum but you should know the limits.

Here are the other threads that member of the family is involved with:

6400  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Paying for education on: September 20, 2018, 04:20:49 PM
It's largely considered to be almost a necessity to pay for some kind of education if you are planning on becoming a stock trader.
How many people have paid for some kind of trading education, either focusing in stock trading or in crypto trading.
Do you think it's helped you?
What was your experience through trading education either paid or unpaid?

Haven't been with stocks or forex trading but on my way to learn much on crypto trading. Let's say I'm a noob on this stuff but with many lesson that I can learn now on the internet so far it wouldn't be that hard as long as I focus on learning it even though on spare time basis only.
