6381  Economy / Reputation / Re: VegasCasino.io Shill + Merit Abuser [Updated DT Needed] on: April 17, 2019, 08:25:27 PM
Tagging won't help. Nuking accounts won't help either since most of them are newbies easy to create one. What mods should do is nuke their service off bitcointalk.

I can create a large number of forum accounts and shill Crypto-Games.net with them. Should Crypto-Games then be nuked off of bitcointalk?
Do you have a better solution?

Another account was born today who started shilling for the casino with their first post. At this point, I think they're using bots to create accounts and post garbage data.

BogHorse
Nuking the account is the best possible solution because all their posts will be removed from forum if their account was nuked which completely destroy the purpose of shilling.
6382  Other / Meta / Re: Is it possible to remove old animated avatars? on: April 17, 2019, 08:16:16 PM
You can do that yourself check your profile settings
Disactivated avatar.
This is not I am asked for,it might help me personally but I don't want to completely remove all the avatars from fellas.Looking for some alternatives. Smiley
6383  Other / Meta / Is it possible to remove old animated avatars? on: April 17, 2019, 08:09:33 PM
Theymos already restricted animated avatars from bitcointalk but if you are wearing animated avatar since before the implementation of restriction then they still can use it until their next change (I guess).

While exploring threads some animated avatars (especially stake avatar) are blinking all over the page on my screen (not sure if this happening with other members),the problem exist even after I changed my browser and the same when using android as well.So request theymos to remove all those animated avatars if possible.
6384  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Paxful sent my BTC to a different address? on: April 17, 2019, 07:11:34 PM
It could possibly be an error on the gambling websites part, often their address and balance system is weird and is based on a rotating address system. It's very easy for your bitcoins to get lost in the shuffle, I would contact support on there end as someone said above to see if they can check their logs.

That's not a possibility. No bitcoins were sent to the address 381jqxGPdFBRYAETnpYHxp7K1TCxtFLXNX, so there are only a few possibilities and neither has anything to do with the receiving site:

  • 1. The bitcoins were never sent.
  • 2. The bitcoins were sent to an address other than 381jqxGPdFBRYAETnpYHxp7K1TCxtFLXNX. Here are the possible causes:
    • A. You entered a different address. FYI, it is unlikely that there was a typo since addresses contain validation info.
    • B. Browser malware replaced your destination address with a different one.
    • C. Paxful sent the bitcoins to a different address for some unknown reason.

In all cases, you should:
  • 1. Check the gambling site to see if the bitcoins were received.
  • 2. If your Paxful account has a transaction log, check that. It should have valuable information.
  • 3. Contact Paxful support if the bitcoins were deducted from your account but never received.

Thank you, I have contacted support and they will have an admin inspect if anything went wrong on there part... if they find nothing then I guess I have some sort of malware? I don't know how I could possibly have something like that since I am very careful but I guess I could be wrong.
If the bitcoin was sent to the wrong address means then you lost it completely no matter of which side the mistake was.

Personally I never used paxful but it is one of the best site so they are going to risk their reputation for $80? I don't think so.

So malware from your pc caused all those problems.
6385  Other / Meta / Re: How Many Years on Bitcointalk? Take the Poll! on: April 17, 2019, 06:18:07 PM
Came into this forum in 2017,which is less than two year for now.I am really glad that I found this forum on time since it changed my life lot but sometimes I get worried why I didn't find this little bit earlier if that happened then my life will be much better from now since I invested on wrong investment and lost huge money from my saving in 2016-17. Sad
6386  Economy / Reputation / Re: Team member is scammer so whole project is scam? on: April 16, 2019, 10:37:26 AM
There is an old bounty manager who has more than 20 -negative feedbacks. And he claims that he is the part of the running project. So the project is a scam too or not?
Will share the link of both bounty manager and project ones someone senior member (reputable member) of forum clear this.

What is the proof that he linked to that project if he is not managing the bounties. We can't conclude that project is scam just based on one person.
6387  Other / Meta / Re: MERIT SOURCE appeal on: April 16, 2019, 06:48:54 AM
It also looks like you have given out 36% of your merit(317 merit) to only 5 people, I don't know what the circumstances are surrounding these merit transactions, and your merit giving habits may have changed.

I don't have any issues with micgoossens, but IMO if he wants to have any realistic chance of becoming a merit source, he needs to find better posts for his application.

I am curious to know how many people bothered reading any of the cited posts before vouching for him.
Mic is one of the most active member of WO thread so it is not a big surprise that his merit transactions were circulated for certain number of members.

I can vouch for Mic as well because he is helping most of the community members to rank up from his own sMerit and he ran out of sM most of the time because I am reading WO thread too often.
6388  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Lookinf for Legit Bitcoin Buyers on: April 15, 2019, 05:50:59 PM
Can you describe more about how your payment will be? If through bank transfer then it is available for which country people?

Anyway don't forget to use escrows while dealing with someone from bitcointalk.
6389  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Airdrop for reporting a given number of posts(suggestion) on: April 15, 2019, 05:31:57 AM
It was already suggested before and many people conclude that it could leads to abuse of merit system. So we don't have to confuse merit with reports, merit is for contributing to the form while you are also rank up but the reporting is just a voluntary thing.
6390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are centralized exchanges still dominating the crypto space? on: April 14, 2019, 03:38:31 PM
Ever since Bitcoin launched back in 2009, the rise of centralized exchanges has been inevitable. A few years later, and now the whole crypto market is dominated by centralized exchanges. While there have been many alternatives to the solution (such as decentralized exchanges), people are still performing trades at centralized entities.

Now the real question is why this is happening, since after all, Satoshi intended Bitcoin to be free from middleman or third parties? Depending on an exchange or custodian, greatly defeats the purpose of true decentralization. Knowing how oppressive some governments are, it'll be easier for them to stop usage of crypto whenever they want to by just targeting centralized exchanges.

Nonetheless, what are your thoughts about this? Huh
Lot of coins are available on centralized exchange so which makes me force to trade on that exchange whenever I want.I never had experience with DEX because I found it is not best when compared to CEX.
6391  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 4 Things Traders Must Do To Be Successful on: April 14, 2019, 12:52:41 PM
These tips are rather superficial, I believe that it is necessary to spend a lot of time to at least begin to understand the behavior of digital assets, each cryptocurrency is individual and it is impossible to accurately guess the price movement

No matter how good trader you are, no one can guess the prices of altcoins and bitcoins accurately. Since crytpo currency is very volatile, it is very hard to achieve accuracy specially when the price movements are not only dependent upon technical analysis but also depends upon news and fundamental Analysis.
No one can do it even if they are good at technical analysis, predictions are just for the hope that it will become possible but a successful trader need to minimize the losses even if they are in bearish mode.
6392  Economy / Lending / Re: BTC / ETH / BCH Loans 0% - Small Short Term Loans Only - Reputable Members Only on: April 14, 2019, 08:35:58 AM
To be honest, I don't see how this is "buying" trust though, you are just lending to users and if a member didn't really want to get scammed, then they will use a reliable escrow.
People on any other forums or any selling website has to build their reputation, otherwise who would trade with you or take you seriously if no one ever traded with you before? Everyone has to start somewhere.
For lending escrows are not needed,OP can choose right person to lend amount without getting anything as collateral as a beginner he don't have to complicate it too much.

This can be used as building reputation too because OP is not going to lose any amount by lending to the reputed members but when everything goes fine OP will get feedback which is trust.
6393  Other / Meta / Re: Can I know the guidelines for giving members red trust? on: April 13, 2019, 07:58:41 PM
There is no perfect guide for giving negative feedback, when someone scammed others or involving in such activities will receive negative trust to save others from trading with them. But here something different I don't know the full story what you did to them so wait and what statement come from the people who gave you negative feedback and other members who are in DT network.
6394  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CLOUDBET STOP! " I AM TIRED " on: April 13, 2019, 07:30:03 PM
If you are just telling your issue with words then no one is going to pay attention to it,you need to show some proof about the issues you were saying like the two bets and the final balance and also you need to post the screenshot of that message from cloudbet which says the tech team will contact you soon to increase your credibility.
6395  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to be rich..! on: April 13, 2019, 06:27:20 PM
I will be rich in bitcoin and optimist one day I will be most success people in bitcoin and altcoin project, I active for joining in many bounty campaign project on social media and always participate in ICO because I hope could get profit more.
IMO,doing bounties will not make you rich. Roll Eyes

Bounties can give good rewards rarely but mot of the time people are just promoting the scam projects so at the end they won't make anything from promoting it.You can invest those tokens if you got any into bitcoin which may make your rich.

Bounties can become a very good start. Dealing with different tasks, you will understand about cryptocurrencies much more. Probably, you will work even out the strategy of your trading.
So you become a crypto expert by doing bounties? Most of the tasks related to bounties will not make you better person because they are just basic tasks like tweet, like, share and sometime blogs,no quality posters are found on bounties because they were getting payments in bitcoin.Don't cheat yourself by doing bounties just learn from it.
6396  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what kind of trading will suit for me? on: April 13, 2019, 03:26:25 PM
I think you need to try both of them first and after you try them you will be able to know and be able to choose which one is more suitable for you to do.
it's true the problem is if we try it first we will never know what type of trade is suitable for you to use. the problem is if we have tried then we will also know the trade is good for us too
But we can't try each and every method,if we trying unnecessary things then we may lose our capital amount for that I am not much intented.Just pick the best one and do it with perfection is my policy.
6397  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to be rich..! on: April 13, 2019, 03:18:06 PM
I agree with you, if we want to be rich, we have to invest as early as possible and we can start making money, but be a smart investor, don't invest carelessly without knowing the quality of the project that you keep.
Investing is also risky, so you are right, that we must also need to know the quality of that project that we wanted to invest. We must know the basics of investing for us to have a good start and guide for investing for a future and for the long term.
Nothing is risk free,if you are looking for some benefits then it is also associated with risks as well.Sometimes the projects can turns out into later stage as well so if you are smart you don't have to search for new cryptos just invest on bitcoin itself.
6398  Other / Meta / Re: Is Merit Requirement Per Rank Excessive? on: April 13, 2019, 11:08:04 AM
There are two kind of people on this forum, one who can't get merits and cry about this merit system and second are those who are doing fine job even after merit system implementation — these people are fine with merit system.

I don't think there is going to be anymore changes in merit system. Adapt or leave.
Definitely we need some tweaks because not all the good posts are going to get merits so if someone posting meritable posts but on the wrong boards (where merit sources are not available) then how he is going to rank up?

He should have to change his posting habits for to rankup?
6399  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to be rich..! on: April 13, 2019, 07:32:43 AM
Unfortunately "don't work hard but smart" is a myth.

Einstein coined the formula: genius is 1% inspiration, 99% sweat.

If you wanna do anything successful, gotta work like crazy.

After you make your first million, you can then start coming up with your own crazy little schedule ideas like "the four hour week" or whatever.
Einstein is a scientist but we are talking about being rich. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

So you saying that you are going to make your first million by working for many hours in a day?

But at the end most of your earnings will go as tax to the governments so you will be having nothing at the end.
6400  Other / Meta / Re: Is Merit Requirement Per Rank Excessive? on: April 12, 2019, 06:48:45 PM
Since the implementation of merit system there is no changes made for the number of merits required to rank up other than Jr.rank, even theymos mentioned that there will be some tweaks on the merit system soon when it was implemented but nothing changes yet so I think he is happy with the current system so we are not going to see any changes in the requirement to rank up.
