6382  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTS] BTC to PayPal on: December 13, 2014, 11:13:23 AM
Hello I am new to forums, since this is my first trade here, I want to use an Escrow, can anyone name some trusted Escrows.

I currently have $106 BTC up for selling to PayPal (As Gift).

Drop me a PM!

If you are taking PayPal asking for escrow is useless, even dangerous as it will give you a false sense of security. You could easily be scammed by a chargeback after the escrow releases in good faith the coins. Yes there are some cb protection techniques out there and receiving as gift is not one of them. If you really need PayPal credit my best advise is forget about the escrow and focus instead on selling your coins to somebody you can trust and ideally has sold PayPal credit before to many sellers. Just my 2c.
Good luck.

Yes , I personally don't recommend the use of paypal as method of payment . It is *very* insecure . Check this post of theymos:

Money sent through PayPal and any other money transfer service that accepts credit cards can be easily reversed by the sender, even after several weeks. Therefore, you should only accept PayPal in trades with people you trust very highly.

This is why newbies are not likely to sell their PayPal USD for bitcoins successfully.

Some other services that are not totally safe:
- Bank transfers (ACH, etc.) except wire transfers
- Most gift cards.
- Moneypak
- AlertPay
- Paysafecards
- Dwolla
- Western Union (they reportedly will sue the recipient to recover money in some cases)

I would like also to add :

With this trust system it is so easy *abuse it* so I think we need new change , or better modify it completely. Because I've seen a lot of these type of threads ( it is always the same story).

What do you suggest as an alternative? I cannot think of a feedback system that is flawless or foolproof to abuse but if you can some up with one maybe it will be considered.
there should be limits as to how many people can be on your trust list if you are on level 1 default trust. This will prevent the privilege of being on default trust being given out as a "thank you" for your customers.

There should be different formula for calculating positive trust if multiple people give trust feedback that are not trusted by different people. For example if everyone that gives you positive trust are all trusted by badbear then each additional trust rating by someone on badbears list should count for less while someone on theymos' list would count for more. You should not be able to receive "green" trust unless you are trusted by people that are on at least two different trust lists.

Negative trust should cause a profile to turn "red" at first with one scam report but would go away after n time without a second scam report. This would prevent someone from being able to continue to scam but would prevent someone from abusing the trust system and would force scam reports to be community reviewed (and a 2nd person agreeing on default trust) after a scam accusation is opened (as it should be after giving negative trust)

Good suggestions , but  maybe   theymos can add the function "report"  near the feedback so we can easily report the "fake"  & *abused* feedback.

[it is only a suggestion]
6384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What was the last thing you bought using Bitcoins? on: December 13, 2014, 10:37:42 AM

i am interested but there're lots of question can u clear that?
YEP the escrow is the important question to answer

Have you read this post ?

YES. THERE WILL BE ESCROW. We have someone in mind that we are now just waiting for the adress. Thank you everyone!

Yep, I will be the escrow for this signature campaign.  I've just sent the OP the funding address, and I told him to fund it with the MAXIMUM amount that he/she would have to theoretically have to pay out per term.
Cheers~!

Don't see why an escrow would be necessary when you can get your money back easily. Escrow's not the problem, it's charge backs.

i can pay 20$ with western union now fine ? and also its not that easy to charge back without proves

Why can't you use bitcoin for this? Or any other reputable cryptocurrency? You do not have any?

Maybe at the moment he doesn't own any cryptocurrency , but I also don't recommend Paypal as method of payment ( it is not *secure*).

I still remember 1 year ago when I used Bitcoin to buy some weed on silk road.
Now becoming main stream due Microsoft.
This is just the beginning folks. Blockhalving soonish. Great time to come.
I wonder when this bear market will be over.

 Cool

We are a part of this new *monetary* revolution , it is only a question of time ... and we will be victorious.

Thanks for the attention .
6391  Economy / Lending / Re: NEED 0.02 LOAN! on: December 12, 2014, 09:09:40 PM
well the user i rent from DOES ALL for me and i would start as 0.001 max bet Sad but if any1 wants to lend 0.014 to be extact 0.0137 to me! I would be happy

I think without a valid collateral you will not receive a loan , keep that in mind. However good luck with your *research*.

Da quanto ho letto qui sul forum , è un dispositivo che protegge le priv. keys  :

Yes, it is a device you connect to your computer through your USB port. The wallet doesn't hold any bitcoin, it protects private keys. As it is a HD wallet, it can derives an infinite amount of address. So there is no limit of what you can do with the Ledger Wallet.

The device is certified EAL5+, meaning it has been semiformally designed and tested.

If you are so "smart" and "trusted" member over here ,and I guess you knew that asking for positive feedback is forbidden, why didn't you replied back such as "hey dude this is forbidden maybe you want a donation ?" without this show ... but no ,you chose to make this thread and marcotheminer should pay you .01 for your posts in this thread so you could say thanks at least to me....

No problem , I 've asked you "what is this small favour" only for see what was your answer.  However ,  *no problem* have a nice day.

Ps: If I put a signature  Must I stop posting here in the forum ? Are you kidding me ?
6395  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: FS:: legendary account, on: December 12, 2014, 03:49:11 PM
Going from other threads I would think he could easily get 1BTC for it? The fact that he is advertising the trust level does not sit well with me though  Embarrassed Obviously you do not need positive trust for signature campaigns...

I think a legendary account worth ~1.5 - 2 BTC , but I think no-one will risk this amount of bitcoin for this account.

Thanks, I agree. We'll change that one too.

Now that's a new idea, tipping a bajillionaire.

It is a very *strange* idea , but I think it will attract much attention of bill gates (or at least I hope it).
