641  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful From Telegram Fraud on: December 22, 2020, 01:58:22 AM
There is a lot of fraud circulating, and it's sad that people are happy getting money from others to feed their families with that money, what I can say is don't transact with personal messages coming from someone who you don't know, it's one of the rules that you should remember, especially that people need money they will do anything, mostly they say they were the head of the project or manager, the legit company will always say that they will not send you personal messages, so just be careful.
642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any insurance service for gamblers to retain heavy losses....??? on: December 21, 2020, 04:06:51 PM
I think there is no such thing as insurance for a gambler like you can get back a percentage of your losses, if there is one there will be lots of gambler flooding casinos for sure, if you are afraid to lose money then what needs to be done is just play, like a minimum game, after that go home, there are lots of reasons why people gamble, what I know is you can put something you own as collateral but not insurance when you lose.
643  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pagpasok ng Tao Sa Crypto on: December 21, 2020, 09:11:39 AM
644  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Think twice before pressing send. on: December 21, 2020, 05:10:03 AM
I think if someone does that he is not thinking properly at that moment, maybe he might overlook the value, This is where I always say to all of my friends who are also into crypto, that if your tired or not feeling well, just sleep and do that thing tomorrow, working or doing something when you are tired or not in the mood will destroy or you'll mainly commit a mistake.

646  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit & Difficulties 😑 on: December 20, 2020, 01:45:11 PM
you are saying that higher members never gave you merit?
I go to your profile, check the created topic and reply only two topics are made, your account is registered from 2018, I have seen account made during that time and they are like full members some are sr. members, because they are focus on ranking up, unlike what you were doing, you are busy posting reports daily, without making a decent post for 2 years now, which means in those years you only made 2 legitimate posts, how do you expect us to give you merit for doing nothing, we can't give merits on that bounty reports, merits are given to those reply and topic that are related to bitcoin, regarding crypto but not bounty reports where we can only see facebook post count, sorry but if you really want merit you need to start making informative post not reports in bounty, you have been here in 2 years I think, you already know how it goes, change your ways .
647  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do I need to upgrade my hardware wallet? on: December 20, 2020, 08:33:29 AM
Hello BitcoinTalk,

I have been in the Bitcoin space since early 2017 but have just recently dove back in. I wanted to up my security so I ended up researching for a suitable hardware wallet and found a plethora of choice.

Some are promoted heavily on YouTube. (Ledger, Trezor)
Some are promoted on forums. (Bitbox02, KeepKey, Coldcard)

I've seen some videos analyzing the differences between the wallets and the levels of security they provide. One interesting feature is Coldcard's ability to sign transactions without being plugged into a computer.

Has there ever been a case where a user's bitcoin had been stolen by way of simply connecting the hardware wallet to the computer?

I ask because I own both Ledger and Trezor products and I am wondering if I should upgrade for security purposes. Are Ledger and Trezor products inferior because they require to be plugged into the USB? When does security become paranoia?

Thanks,
HelloUniverse

update or updating only depends if its really necessary, for example, there is a bug on a firmware that is needed to be fix or update that is critical, but like others say don't update if it's just minor or not that important, as long as you have the private key it's not possible I think.
648  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bounties are profitable or not ? on: December 20, 2020, 04:03:29 AM
I think you can answer those questions since your doing it from the start, you only have 2 posts not pertaining to bounties, I guess it is since your still posting bounty reports where you are participating, if it's not profitable then why are you still doing it?
649  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to invest best $2,000-$5,000? on: December 20, 2020, 01:26:10 AM
I think you need to know how crypto trading and how crypto behaves since you have the funds, I can suggest you join some legit ico's( initial coin offerings) and try to study if there is a possibility to have returns or value, everything you do in crypto has risk I know you are already aware of that? coins tend to go down that will let you think that it will never go up.

Here are some of my suggested sites:

https://poloniex.com/ - trading
https://icodrops.com/ - for presale and coin offerings

Earning money monthly will depend on how you do your research, also try to look here

https://coinmarketcap.com/ - what I do here is look for a coin that has potential and with their coins like posting updates that means there is development every day or updates, then try to look for the graph a tend to look on how long they were down, I'll always buy coins less than a dollar then hold them
but as I said you need to take the risk it doesn't mean you'll earn monthly with it.
650  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's too damn easy to become a developer nowadays on: December 19, 2020, 04:40:11 PM
it's not that easy to become a developer, you can't call yourself as a developer if you are just like for example, copying the codes, even non certified can be a great developer, the certificate is just paper, you can have lots of certificates but you might lack on skills, to create a certain project is not that easy, you need to have a background, developers are working at the backend coding, I think the one who is doing the bad jobs are in the front although developers might know it already since they were a team.

653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VALORANT Betting on: December 18, 2020, 11:15:44 AM
I heard of this game, lots of young people and streamers are playing this, since the pandemic, kinda like the game, but I think dota2 is way more popular and there are lots of people betting especially when TI, they may be just second place as dota2 is still and will stay at the top.
654  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The best platform to use for buy and sell crypto on: December 18, 2020, 06:00:08 AM
I think if you want to gain a bit of a profit you need to add the cost or fee of transferring from your wallet to their wallet at the same time add like a little bit of margin, like 2-5 pesos maybe 10 pesos, they should shoulder the fee also, or you make a fixed payment like 250 php per transaction aside from the transfer fee, that is going to be your profit

656  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to know is someone real and trusted for Bitcoin trading? on: December 17, 2020, 01:41:35 PM
Exchange is created to avoid transaction with people directly, why? because there is a 100% possibility he will run after the transaction, I suggest you avoid those kinds of deals, if you don't know them directly, people taking advantage if they know you are new after the deal I'm sure they will disappear.
657  Other / Beginners & Help / How important to secure your computer when it comes to the World Wide Web on: December 17, 2020, 11:54:13 AM
Since bitcoin has now reached an all-time high as we speak, there are also groups of people victimizing people and asking for ransom or money in form of BTC or crypto payment, knowledge is very important, and securing your data is one of our priority that you should always keep in mind since we are dealing with this kind of people who have advance knowledge and can attack us in lots of angles in the web.

How important is security?

People are getting relax once their pc is set up, they browse lots of sites downloading movies, files on the web without knowing they also downloaded a threat, yes we have antivirus but sometimes it doesn’t detect this kind of malware or ransomware, you should not only rely on antivirus but you should be aware where you access or download something, I have encountered before a file or folder have been stolen in the computer and it’s been locked, with a note file message that if you don’t pay in this bitcoin address, they are going to leak the files, which is very important to the person, he ended paying, a certain amount, but paying doesn’t mean 100% they are going to give the file back.
Are you aware of doppelpaymer ransomware group? This is a group of people who is being reported that harassing the people who got infected with ransomware even going to the extreme where they tried to call and threaten to leak the files or important data according to the FBI.

Here is the link to the said modus and attack: https://www.zdnet.com/article/fbi-says-doppelpaymer-ransomware-gang-is-harassing-victims-who-refuse-to-pay/

There are lots of warning being given regarding this kind of this attacks, so securing your computer even network is necessary, avoid downloading from unknown sites, free software to do like scanning your computer for free, I'm not saying that it's not okay to browse but take an extra careful when doing so if you think that site is suspicious get out of the site immediately and always do a backup so that if something happens, you can restore what is lost, but of course, prevention is better less hassle, and also save you money.
658  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Trezor users are being attacked via malicious emails and SMS. Be careful! on: December 17, 2020, 08:54:41 AM
I think the customers should be aware that they should ignore an email coming from an unknown sender, they should only communicate on the legitimate email, at the same time maybe trezor had accidentally leaked this information, or if it's true they have been a hack, so as I was saying if you are not sure that the email comes from trezor legit email account ignore it, they might inject something in your computer once you click a certain link,

660  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What happend with Founder Satoshi? on: December 16, 2020, 09:33:30 AM
I think we will never know who he is, or who they are all we know is he innovate on how we transfer money or use this what we call bitcoin and open a new opportunity for other coins to be made out of the code from bitcoin, and a very good technology where we can improve and use it in our daily lives, all the articles that you see are only speculations regarding satoshi, who know maybe he or them are still here with a different username looking at our work in the forum and the community,
