Cleaned up some blemishes around the edges and adjustments for a modern & flat design.

Credits to sonysasankan for designing the original version of the renamped AsiaCoin logo.

It is a good effort, actually. Just need to take out the flare effect and drop shadows for a more contemporary and flat design.

Hi,

I got rid of all my AC when i felt that something was off.

I m now looking to buy AC coins. Is the actual blockchain safe for transactions? ( at what height will it happen? )

Ps: i m taking offers. PM Me.

You aren't serious, are you?
For someone running a news blog on crypto currencies, you are not even trying to be objective about anything. Yes, AC turned out to be a scam. At the same time, it captured a lot of interest. Is it worthwhile to save an altcoin when there's so much vested interest? I don't know but I think it is worth a shot.

The guy is going to trade BTC for AC. Sorry, at this stage of the game that idea is preposterous.

No one is talking about saving this altcoin. It can't be saved. It was a complete piece of garbage made by a scammer.

People are only looking to save their own asses. They made a disastrous decision to invest in a scam coin without checking details about the Dev or the source code.

Other than pumping and dumping and creating volume, AC 1.0 accomplished nothing.

Now a second set of bagholders is supposed to emerge anut the d bail ofirst group. This reminds me of the U.S. government bailing out 'too big to fail' banks.

So you're right, I'm definitely biased against anyone buying AsiaCoins right now.

What kind of journalism is this?:
"So you're right, I'm definitely biased against anyone buying AsiaCoins right now."
"Now a second set of bagholders is supposed to emerge anut the d bail ofirst group."
"It can't be saved. It was a complete piece of garbage made by a scammer"

Do you think you are Hunter S. Thompson?

And... "Update: A Cryptsy staff member said due to the sneaky nature of the attack, it’s likely a second version or AC2 will not be welcome at that exchange."
But in the first page: Bter.com Cryptsy (both have confirmed that once we resolve the issue, AC will be relisted)

If Cryptsy support Asiacoin you'll be a lier.

Here are a comunity fixing a project and you arent saying anything about that.
Perhaps an altcoin scam is a lot more sensational compared to a scammed community trying to rise from the ashes.

new asia? another mistake
It's not new. We are just a new team that came together to fix the source code and disable the premine.
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AC] Official Asia Coin Revival | Hard Fork and Voiding Pre-Mine on: May 05, 2014, 09:25:29 AM
Very impressive  AC community. Its good to see whitecoin survive and now you guys will likely survive too. The crypto world as a whole is pretty awesome.
To top it off, the new team is spearheaded by several Asians. Time for us to take things into our own hands.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AC] Official Asia Coin Revival | Hard Fork and Voiding Pre-Mine on: May 05, 2014, 07:27:42 AM
Amazing news:

I was just contacted by the developer of Bter.com and he showed support that Bter.com will re-enable trades once the issue is patched. we have confirmation from two exchanges now that once we solve the problem, AC will be relisted.

I am very confident that Mintpal, Bittrex and Poloneix will also follow.
Great news! Time for some marketing to rebuild the reputation.

I hope MintPal, BITTREX and Poloniex confirmed their interest soon. I usually trade on these 3 exchanges.
648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AC] Official Asia Coin Revival | Hard Fork and Voiding Pre-Mine on: May 05, 2014, 06:42:09 AM
It's fot this solution also the best way to withdraw AC from Mintpal or is the best to let it there in the wallet?
Basically, all the exchanges will need to update their AC wallets to the new hard fork. Current holders will need to update their AC wallets as well.
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AC] Official Asia Coin Revival | Hard Fork and Voiding Pre-Mine on: May 05, 2014, 05:47:23 AM
Dear Community

Since we are doing a hard fork, and if other changes to the structure and ecosystem are required, it must be done now. We aimed to be completely transparent and this requires us to really listen to everyone about an important issue: How much should it stake in the first year?

Asia Coin was supposed to stake 100% during its first year, that is not possible due to the extra 30 million AC that was dumped from the premined block. However, we can still do a high value (basically 190 million -> 320 million). It is also possible to reduce staking to a significantly lower value.

So as a community, we need to decide what to do, and the issue is now up for debate. Please respectfully state your opinions (and reasoning/justification is obviously much better than just stating a number Smiley ).
I will agree with a reduction but not a drastic one. The reason AC captured high attention was due to the first year 100% stake interest and 2% 2nd year onwards. I personally feel that we can reduce the first year stake to 70% stake and subsequent years to 3-5% to beat inflation.

guys are fixing a scamcoin  Roll Eyes
Given the kind of volumes that AC was trading at, it will be worthwhile as the amount of people scammed should be one of the highest.
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AC] AsiaCoin Reverse-Scam | Hard Fork and Patch on: May 05, 2014, 02:57:01 AM
I can help with marketing. As for web design, I may be able to help as well.
652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 05, 2014, 02:46:45 AM
Look everyone, I just spoke to Dallas Solomon on the phone over Facebook. They now have a new option to call your contacts, so that is how I got in touch with him. I spoke with him long enough to know that he isn't even capable of creating a cryptocurrency let alone have the know how to hide code from all peering eyes that look.

This guy is not a crook. This guy is a good kid. Stop harassing him. Seriously. Lets focus on what matters and that is fixing this coin!!!

And judge judy saves the day with a facebook call! FTW!

i love it. nowadays you can tell if someone is a good person via telephone.
Everyone invested in AsiaCoin are disappointed and frustrated but I think you are going overboard with your accusations. We need to focus back on fixing the source code and repairing the major loss in confidence and reputation.
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 05, 2014, 02:42:13 AM
It's true, i dabbled in litecoin and even doge a little but asiacoin was the first for me to have a little bit more than almost nothing in. I received a 10k AC bounty for making the video so therefore it was my first real venture into crypto.

I understand your frustation, it sucks for everyone involved but I had nothing to do with the AsiaCoin scam aside from creating a video. If I had known it was a scam I wouldn't have done so.

i personally already caught you up in  lies on this very forum. just now. you said you didnt delete anything, you did. you said Asiacoin was your first altcoin, its not. So you arent the Dev for Asiacoin, But you are? amirite?
The dev for AsiaCoin was using the username 'asiacoin' on Reddit.
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]AsiaCoin v2 [AC2] - PoS on: May 04, 2014, 03:24:01 PM
I am definitely on board to revive AC. AC2 will be a obvious enough symbol to show that this is a 2nd generation of AsiaCoin. I do agree that we need a new coin image. Too much bad reputation associated with AsiaCoin. I don't think we should go for a full rename though. The continuity has to be there so people knows that this is the continuation and yet a fresh start. If any volunteer is required, feel free to PM me. I am not a programmer though.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 04, 2014, 11:18:01 AM
High respect for micryon after put up much work to clarify this scam. Of course we would like to have you in the dev team for the new AsiaCoin community, but since you said about time pressure, we will need to find someone else.

Community calm down. We are all get scammed. Now is the time to try finding a solution, not to panic. We need a bounty for a dev team to take over, not a list of victims. With 1Mil marketcap we will have a list of over 100k people, who want to see this list ? Let's learn a lesson from WC, they are fine now.

Again thanks micryon for your hard work. We need people like you at this hard time.

I'm here to help.. and I will make myself available to help where I can.

I just think there needs to be more of a solid team behind this to make it really happen.. otherwise it's not worth doing.
I am not a programmer but I can help in areas other than programming. I do hope micryon can take over as the Lead Developer for AC.
656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 04, 2014, 11:14:08 AM
Dear Asiacoin community,

We, the Pandacoin (PND) devs feel like giving back to the community with the recent Asiacoin blow up, as part of our coin’s origins and philosophy is to stand against cryptocurrency manipulation and scams. We would like to offer some sort of compensation to current Asiacoin bagholders that have lost money with the recent turmoil in the coin.

Compensation offer:

If you can provide proof of the amount of Asiacoin that you are currently bagholding, for the first 10 people that take up this offer, we will send you x10 amount the of Pandacoins (PND) that you hold in terms of Asiacoin! So for example, if you hold 10,000 Asiacoin, and is the first 10 to take this offer up, we will send you 100,000 Pandacoins (PND).

After the first 10 replies, we are still willing to send you the amount of Pandacoins (PND) to a 1:1 ratio for the amount of Asiacoin that you hold. For anyone with less than 50,000 Asiacoins, the minimum of Pandacoins (PND) received from us is still going to be 50,000!

Disclaimer: Maximum 150,000 Pandacoin (PND) per individual, wallet address, and bitcointalk account. Only bitcointalk accounts over 7 days old will be considered

Ok sounds good! How do I get some free Pandacoins? -

Step 1: Getting your Pandacoin (PND) wallet - Download our wallet by going to either https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568529.0 or http://thepandacoin.net/ and generating a Pandacoin (PND) deposit address

Step 2: Providing Proof

In your AsiaCoin wallet, go to File > Sign Message. Then click on the address book button next to the address input field and select your address. Then, enter your Bitcointalk forum username in the text box and click the sign message button. Finally, click the copy signature button next to the signature field and paste it in the message for Step 3.

Step 3: Contacting us with the information to receive our compensation offer - Go to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568529.0 and reply with a post containing the proof of your signature embedded with the address from Step 2, along with your Pandacoin (PND) wallet address to receive our compensation offer for Asiacoin bagholders!

Your post should look something like this with the following example -

Asiacoin address: ALR6861XReyWD25RrJjzgY1GLe75MLH4DR

Balance: 1000.1234

Proof: IGkFFI3T29GrP55FqnmkOarblqUsmmfG7XxwwaYYQiwR8wV1hc2QpG7jEUshh1N4pk2uckdid3xDM4d 3AkA/WBY=

Pandacoin (PND) wallet address: PHFByB65qhEkG9SK8UjY94t7Phoqq8vnSr

Kind regards,

Pandacoin (PND) development team.

Edit: If your coins are trapped in an exchange, so you can't do step 2. You can provide a screenshot in your post over at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568529.0in place of step 2 that was listed! I had many people telling me that their exchanges are trapping their coins, so there we go Smiley
Thanks but no thanks. PNG is paired with LTC on MintPal but AC was paired with BTC. Given the offer, I already stand to lose as good as everything.
657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 04, 2014, 01:04:19 AM
Please add me to the list. I am only holding 13k AC.
658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CREDITS: INFLATION PERIOD OVER, SECOND HARD FORK + POKER ROOM COMING SOON on: May 03, 2014, 05:05:00 AM
Listen guys, at this point the PR has been lacking solely because I am the only person that is involved with it, and I am extremely busy with finals and stuff.  The poker room is going well because I don't have a huge part in it.  If anyone is interested in helping us out with PR, let me know.  You won't get paid for it ha, but it can obviously help you in the long run if you're a holder.
Someone to help out with PR has to be next move forward. On top of that, the community really deserves a timeline and regular updates. It doesn't have to be a daily update but 2-3 updates a week should not affect your finals. While my interest in Credits has quietened down, I will continue to keep a lookout for updates on Credits.
