641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Asking if Bitcoin is Dead on: February 09, 2018, 12:17:07 PM
On one hand it is comical on the other had annoying.
All the people that the last month have come out of the woodwork asking about bitcoin, ethereum and ripple are now blowing me up asking me if I get out before it was too late....lol
Do not mind them, most of these people are the ones who did panic selling when the market started to crash, they have weak hands panic sellers will result to a bloodbath that is why the whole market has crash,FUDs arent the only thing to consider but the people also who has weak hands/mind who has worsen the situation, because if you truly believe to the technology behind your investments you wont be doing stupid things like panic selling, few only people understand hownthe market works and im sure these people are making a lot of money from the dips.
There is actually a reason the ignore button was added to this forum anyway and I wonder why a lot of people do not use them.

Most people derive pleasure in spreading FUD, I really do not know why, but I am sure they must be so negative about everything that regards them, which would not really make me surprised. Even when people were buying stocks in Apple, these were the same people who would say, no, don't buy, you will get screwed. At the end, we will end up seeing who gets screwed.
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you even read whitepaper bro? on: February 09, 2018, 08:52:51 AM
I read the white paper, all of it's contents because if you really want to have a good investment you must see to it that the alts your investing is a good one. I don't want to waste money by just not reading. Patience is needed in an investment although some of the investors are just investing without studying the projects or alts they are getting into.
Of course, reading is useful, but there are no guarantees that the author of white paper did not copy it from another project by editing a little. One should be an excellent specialist in the field of block chain, to understand such matters. And since there is a skam, those who understand very little) I personally read, but I pay more attention to the project managers, as well as the reality of the project's goal.
The problem a lot of new investors make is that they spend too much time on things they should be doing last or not even bother doing at all and then leave the most important thing they are supposed to do first. I care less about whitepaper. Once I go through the website, all I want to see is what you have and what you want to offer and there goes my main target which is the team.

I do not need team members who obviously just opened a LinkedIn account, I need those who have achieved and I send them messages directly on LinkedIn ask them some questions and see if they are for real before making a decision. Who even read whitepapers these days?
643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why not play games online instead of gambling? on: February 09, 2018, 07:50:16 AM
Many but not all gamblers are claiming they gamble for fun and pass time. I was just thinking. If it is the reason why people gamble then why not play online games? There is a lot of good and challenging onlne games wherein you can interact with other people online?
One way people console themselves with when it comes to gambling is that it is fun and you should see it as a game.

Yes, in a way, you can use it to unwind when you feel you just want to be around some people who share the same view with you regarding gambling (talking about real life casinos), but in the literal sense of gambling online, it can be boring, so what is the fun in it ?

I have thought about this though several times, so let's face it, everyone gambling online is always busy looking for the extra money they are going to make from gambling which we all know it is something hard to get. So really, why not just play game, it is even more entertaining.
644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how long you can stay without gambling? on: February 09, 2018, 06:16:41 AM
I gamble everyday, play poker or slots, or some other casino game. I know how much I can spend on gambling and I gamble according to that, if I have more I will play slots or poker cash games with higher blind's, if I don't have much I will be satisfied with small stakes table. Until now I didn't have big reasons to stop gambling, couple days now and then when I can't find free time. I hope that I will not have to think about completely stopping with my gambling activities.
You need to take it easy bro! Even though I cannot tell you what to do with your time, but I really hope you will not end up finding a bad reason not to have to stop, and stopping when it gets to that stage can be a very difficult one to overcome. I used to be like you, it ended up not being funny and I just do not know, gambling at that stage that you are so into it, will always have a way of pulling you back every now and then even when you know you should get out.
645  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't worry, the market will not fall forever. on: February 08, 2018, 01:13:30 PM
I think the market will soon recover in the next few weeks. The bad news about the cryptocurrency market is gradually losing and the confidence of investors in the market has returned, promising the next time things will be better
Everyone is patiently waiting for the recovery anyway. However, one should still be careful of the alts one will be investing in right now and should rather put it in a strong one. I do not know much about Ignis anyway, but I hope that you are on the right track as I have mentioned above. It is a wide market correction and once bitcoin recovers or shows sign of bullish run, the whole market will definitely have a huge comeback.

I hope so the market can pump my other altcoin as a trader is very relaxed with the current events hopefully in 2018 this altcoin can exceed the price of the previous for all and for myself
No. We may see that altcoins may fall when bitcoins find recovery. I am expecting bitcoin alone to get pumped in coming days which may includes downfall of few major altcoins.
646  Economy / Economics / Re: The lack of financial education on: February 08, 2018, 11:34:48 AM
We all know that education is the very important things that our parents will give us. But in some dillemas, the lack of financial education is one of the hindrances to make it success. Remember that Education is the strong foundation for a very good nation. Even if there's a lack of financial education, you should strive and work hard for your dreams.
If the curriculum limits financial education to a particular set of professions, I guess that is where a lot of people will just need to have business managers or probably just have to go learn it on their own. It is perturbing though as that has really affected the society and a lot of people keep complaining and not knowing that the little knowledge they can get from this can give them financial freedom, but ignorance just as the OP said, is making a lot of people perish and wallow in their poverty.
647  Economy / Economics / Re: You're not wealthy yet, so you're not allowed to be wealthy on: February 08, 2018, 10:46:45 AM
The rule that only accredited investors, which means people who are already wealthy, are allowed to participate in certain ICOs is senseless imo. It's like saying "YOU'RE NOT WEALTHY YET, SO YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO BE WEALTHY." Stupid society, with obsolete rules, we're living in.

Disclaimer: I'm not a US citizen, and I've not read that law

Really? Is there a rule that implies what you have said? Is there any link and proof about your accusations. It is not about being wealthy or poor to invest in ICO as long as you have the resources to invest and buy tokens in ICO then you are always allowed to invest.
It is a just a general rule of the society we are living in. Nothing special as the rich would always keep getting richer. They have the funds, the capability of not mincing anything when they see an opportunity. For example, you have that little signature which you are hoping that when you are paid something from it, one day, it would grow and give you something substantial to at least live well. A rich dude, will not think twice investing something you will never be able to get from that signature and even get more in return later on.

Probably it is a crazy society, it has been like that from the onset, and there is really nothing anyone can do about it but to keep working hard and smart and hoping that the luck of wealth shines on him or her.

The rich have enough to invest and keep making themselves richer, and vice versa. That is the world we are living in. Except for those born into wealth anyway, which some of them do not really know the value, some of them worked their arses way up there, and I am sure they do not have two heads.
648  Economy / Economics / Re: How can you manage potential losses during a crash on: February 08, 2018, 08:18:13 AM
Good idea and I think one can indeed use the strategy to gain back what has been already lost due to the 'crashes' happening with Bitcoin for the past many weeks. The thing here is that not many of those who bought Bitcoin at $18K are actually interested in trading as they are mostly in the "hodlers" category. They will surely find it difficult to be watching Bitcoin everyday every hour waiting for those little surges and dips. I am still hoping though that within this quarter Bitcoin can make some grounds if not exceeding the $15K level.
Simple! This is more like even trying to day trade anyway and there is no way for a decentralized market such as this, at a point, emotion will not step in for such individual.

For someone who is not a learned trader, which obviously may not do something like this anyway, a non-learned trader will end up fumbling up badly eventually, as this is more like trading without any serious strategy or understanding how the chart and indicator works, and only relying that every day, there will always be a margin of $500. What if it does not ?
649  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices dropped, should you buy? on: February 08, 2018, 07:40:10 AM
yes, i have to buy because this is the right time to buy it as much as possible. Although the price continues to decline but try not to panic and resale when the price drops, should hold and wait until the price is back and higher, because as we know bitcoin prices are unstable.
I suppose that as soon as Bitcoin big holders keep this crypto, they suppose it will grow. thus, it makes sense to buy BTC now.
If you have absolute trust, you will not panic. Everything is still in the development cycle, you will be happy about this decision in the future.
I do not even expect a true believer who got into bitcoin for the right reasons should have any reason to panic at times like this. The long term is what matters the most. Yes, it can be devastating seeing someone's funds get dashed like this after buying at the top, but it is always a lesson learned not to join the band wagon FOMOs at the top, but the crazy thing is that at some point, we have all been there except for the very early adopter of course.
650  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price manipulation patterns on: February 08, 2018, 06:08:40 AM
There`s no single manipulator, who is rich and powerfull enough to push the prices down.
...

There are several big holders (e.g. the Winklevoss twins) who own a 5-digit or
even a 6-digit amount of BTC. They could completely wipe out the market with
a few huge market sells. Even 5000-1000 BTC would be enough to wipe
out the order book on most exchanges.

You seriously underestimate the amount of coins that some BTC whales actually
own.
Asides from underestimating the amount of coins some of these whales own, it is bad underestimating the level at which they can go with manipulations to get a whole lot of profit. We cannot play against them and the only thing we can do is to react with the market and think like them. They read charts like they are reading human emotions, and they have always known how to play this perfectly well.

Manipulator is not one, not even two, but they call them institutions. Group of whales who derive pleasure in manipulations for their own profit and then play their game on weak hands while the swim in a lot of money later on. It is obvious and only few can really know that.

Good stuff that you have written though and this should throw some light to some people on why they really do not need to panic in this kind of time.
651  Economy / Speculation / Re: Always Look on the Bright Side of Life on: February 07, 2018, 05:15:17 PM
Well...  At least the fees are gonna be a lot cheaper than before.  Lmao.  I think I would prefer high fees but with 20K USD/BTC right about now...  What were we even thinking!!?!?  Who cares about the high fees, we are supposed to be the new wealthy elite damn it!  Cheesy
Lol. Gosh! I have been so happy about this for a while myself. No issue of long transactions or huge fees for transaction and it is more like a peace that we have always been experiencing before for a while has just decided to surface again. I am sure it won't last, but there is always a positive thing to everything that happens. For now, low value to buy more, lower fees and faster transactions, come on! These are sweet things for someone to just discard.

Lower fees..that is great.. I did not see that.. come on, there must be some more positive things?
Isn't the fact that we have a chance alone to buy at a very low value something positive ? So many people have been complaining about bitcoin being too high to buy; now we have the value lower and then people are still complaining ? Everything is still good, FUDs are general to shake weak hands off the market, we already know that, but at least we are having a peaceful transaction and more to hold for the long run.
652  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 4 factors that could destroy your Trading on: February 07, 2018, 02:22:37 PM
I would add here impatience. Trading loves very patient people, stable and with clean minds. You must also learn how to think logically.
Sometimes, patience works for those who are doing long term trading and at least they are sure they have entered at a very good position. Better still, I will say the lack of strategy is what has led the funds of some traders to their early grave.

Okay, taking a look at the chart example that the Op gave as I was in this trade as well. Someone decided to trade a breakout and then it ended up a fake one, it is always good to know when to stop your loss and wait for a better position to buy back in. Take a look at what patience would have caused the person holding from that top.
653  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you do during blood waves? on: February 07, 2018, 10:39:01 AM
I always look for a money every time the market fall so I can buy more coins specially with bitcoin. Well, I experienced this thing a lot and this time I am more confident because I know bitcoin can bounce back. I just need to stay away myself from negative news so I will not trade with shit emotion.
That is usually the best thing to do in moments like this.
The whales will always want the common people to panic and instead of seeing it as an opportunity to buy more for the profit, a lot panic and sell to them at losses. Doesn't that suck ?

The thing is that this is something that has happened before and it will happen again, so instead of sweating from panic, just take your popcorn and keep seeing all the movies going on between the bulls and the bears and know the right time to enter when the fight is done.
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can BitConnect recover? on: February 07, 2018, 08:44:32 AM
Do you want to lose again?
I do not think that the price will recover, how sad it does not sound.
In general, it is better to avoid such projects.
Anyway, Good luck to you!
If he is holding, he should even be smart enough to hit the exchange and dump it when there is still a chance to sell it to whoever wants to hold it. A time will come when whoever is holding it will just be bag holding a shit coin with no one to sell it too, unless he is lucky to get this entire pump and dump groups to sell it to, and people are even getting wiser with pumps and dumps now.

He better does not deceive himself. That is just a strategy to give hope to those holding them. They are dead, they have no community anymore, anyone holding BCC now is just bag holding a shit coin and at the end, it would only become a pump and dump coin. So, my advice now is that if he is holding, he better just buy another good alt now with this dip.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Today's news: Chinese gov restricts Crypto again... on: February 07, 2018, 07:45:08 AM
I am happy not living in China, but in same time I feel for them cause we are all part of the one ecosystem, indirectly it affect us.
Good thing is that privacy coins exist so people can completly anonymously still transact. I use many of them Like Zcash, Monero.. today I read on twitter that Deeponion released security upgraded wallet concerning chineese people directily using TOR EDGE 3.3.0 + OBFS4 + MEEK . I hope this will come very handy for them..
Even the crypto enthusiasts in China care less about the whole shit being done in their country.
You think if I am a Chinese, and I have a lot of crypto to cater for myself somewhere else where it is welcomed and accepted, I won’t just move away from China ?

Bitmain right now is having subs in countries that appreciate what is being done and see it as a welcome development and not a country that wants to frustrate the effort. At the end of it all, China will be silenced.
656  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If bitcoin is gone will the other coin survive? on: February 06, 2018, 02:31:40 PM
Basing on the market today bitcoin is dumping hard and also the alt coins. I guess without bitcoin the other coins will be gone too. What do you think?
Just because the market value of the bitcoin is getting low with every passing day does not certainly mean that it will end soon or bitcoin is going to close its reputation. The fact is bitcoin will remain the strongest crypto currency in the world for a very significant period of time and it will keep ruling the crypto world. We need not to be worried about the future of bitcoin and other crypto coins.

Now it is difficult to me to predict about bitcoin and other altcoin.
I am not finding any difficult in speculating the future of entire crypto world. We are going to have strong bitcoin regardless of recent corrections as everyone is aware of how usually crypto markets are fluctuating. Surely by end of this year we will again have bitcoin prices with new ATH.
657  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading strategies on: February 05, 2018, 08:22:08 PM
This strategy is more suitable for investment. For trading within a day, the strategy will be different. It is for investing to study the team, the technology of a young coin. Then invest money to wait.
Just simple! Functionality of a project or the team behind it is only a strategy for someone who wants to invest fully in the project for the long run regardless of all the ups and downs that happens in the middle, which to me is more like having a stakes in a company. This does not have anything to do much with trading strategy, unless you just want to be careful of the coin you add into your trading folio, and basically staying off shitcoins with no serious community except a pump and dump market.
658  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I watched my $5000 metamorphose to $2075 :( on: February 05, 2018, 07:45:28 PM
I entered the scene more recent than you but situation is somehow similar.  I came in during the ATH (which ofcourse i did not realize at the time) and seen my investments drop value week after week.

Been investing more during the recent dips as well only to find out an even worse dip a few days later (as we have another one at this very moment).

Not too worried though, i actually do believe that crypto can only become bigger than it is today.  It's still so early in it's life cycle that even we could be called early adopters still.

So i would say, do not worry too much, just work on a nicely balanced portfolio of projects you believe in.

good luck Smiley
Maybe this will make you feel better. I remember one of my cousin buying bitcoin around $4000 before the whole China crazy ban of ICOs which the whales decided to use to create panic in the market and caused some dumps in the market, he really wanted to sell for loss, but to encourage him, I gave him the exact funds he used in buying them and told him to transfer the coins to me which he did.

Just some few days later, the market recovered, moved past what he bought initially and he ran back, begging to give me those same funds back for his coins which I did because I needed to prove a point to him. If you are holding for the long term, just be patient and stop worrying yourself what is presently happening in the market, most especially if you ended up buying at the top, joining other FOMOs.
659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to 3rd world countries on: January 31, 2018, 08:43:09 AM
What do you think is the future of bitcoin to these kind of countries which is the poor ones ?
Is bitcoin can be useful for the citizens ?
What would be the government's approach to this kind of currency?
Compared to develop the countries, bitcoin must be a blessing for the people who are not having stable economy. Many African country people are forced to use US dollar as they are local currency is getting inflated enormously which is leading into decreasing of their currency's buying power. When they will be using bitcoin, they can be sure about their hard work will not reduce overnight so that they can buy for the money they are actually owning.

Bitcoin must be useful for all the country people at the same time we cannot expect the governments to support bitcoins. We need to plan up based on the regulations where we are living also making use of the most of bitcoin is purely depending on our knowledge about how we spend/save bitcoin within our country and its situation.
660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Virtual Money? on: January 31, 2018, 07:56:47 AM
Fundamentally no currency in this world as its intrinsic value as only government are providing some value to their currency. So, the do not need to confuse about virtual money based on how the currency is getting its value.

I mean to say it virtual money can be defined a money which is not having any physical form but having all the properties of traditional money. A virtual money can be an electronic money and it must be having all the buying power of what is a physical money is having.

This definition may differ for persons. But, a virtual money must be used to for all the purposes what a traditional money is meant for. Otherwise there will be no point of calling it a money.
