641  Economy / Gambling / Re: what are the best crypto casinos! on: September 14, 2023, 06:27:46 PM
      -     The ones I tried playing there were slot games and stakes, bcgames and wolf bet and the best I gambled on was bcgames. It's not that I'm promoting it, because the first time if I won here on this platform (bcgames) around 115$, no one even asked me to submit kyc and then in less than 1hr at that time, I immediately released what I won in their slot games platform.

after the stakes, I have never experienced winning there while at wolfbet I have also experienced my winning there, but I suddenly stopped there,  because they have removed a lot of gimmicks in their platform.

On bc game, i had made $100 from depositing only $3, but after reaching $100 then i withdrawn it to stake but on stake my bad luck i busted my account.
i don't know why but when i play on stake i always lose just withdrawn my crypto sometimes or kept in vault. but stake is a good platform to play on.

it's a expensive mistake which taught him about crypto, patience, experiencing bear market, Hodling, etc. because he invested his life saving and borrowed money he remembers every thing he learned in between.
Glauber Contessoto said he is buying the dip which is good practice in bear market, some people instead may had sold everything and never looked at cryptocurrency.
he need to play safe like when his $250k was around $3million, he should had to took profit of $300k.

Yes, i clicked wayback link and seen that it was moving when i hovering over. I was thinking it is moving in specific time frame. and guessed it's a GIF.

do you know reason for banning the animated signatures? In gifs we can say it takes more storage and when uploaded by many users it will take huge amount of storage.
and it's not annoying too, because we will see flashing lights when we hover on it.

do transactions like in this thread when a person mistakenly paid higher fees without knowing about it will get refund from miners?
to get the refund we need to send any request by messaging or emailing or it have any other platform? who will give the refund the pool if the transaction was verified by that pool or when the transaction is verified by an unknown miner then how can anyone will request for a refund and where will he find that unknown miner? what if the miner denied to pay the refund? like if we lost our money then we can complaint to police, is there any authority in this type of case?
do the huge mistakenly sent transaction fee also shared between every miner of that pool?

sorry for too many questions but you explain in understandable way so i asked.

yes, it's seems annoying to see different colors of flashing images. it will be difficult for us means users who read and posts, but i was thinking from promoting or advertising point of view.
if some businesses design interesting and unique gif or live images which can catch user's attention then it will be good for them to get more members on their platform or more customers for their service.
646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't wait for the bottom without buying in the Dip. on: September 14, 2023, 04:29:23 PM
when is the bottom and how much is the dip?
OP is talking about waiting for buying on lowest possible price is impossible and because of that we can miss the opportunity to buy in average price or basically, not buying at exact botton but somewhere around bottom.

the emotion cycle goes like this, first the price dumped and you were thinking that "i will buy when price will go further down" but it's goes a little downwards then start to pump when it pump above the previous price you think "i will buy when it will dump second time" but it never happens and price just pump, pump and pump. in last you missed the bottom and average price.
so, "Don't wait for the bottom without buying in the Dip."

we cannot use live bbcode signature, but we can use live images in signature like GIFs.
I found a example of live signature of wolfbet which is old and captured by wayback machine

I am a low rank user so i cannot upload images on signature, can anyone legendry member who hasn't participated in any signature campaign will try this,
I have found a small size GIF here if anyone try and share the result: https://dribbble.com/shots/2923905-Bitcoin/attachments/9557954?mode=media
648  Other / Meta / can we use live signatures on this forum. on: September 14, 2023, 03:56:17 PM
I have seen that many users have live avatars on their profiles, especially in the Wall Observer thread in the Speculation board. but I am curious, can we use live signatures too? have you come across any users who have applied live signatures?
I like to know if we can use live signatures here and, if we can, what level or rank do we need to reach to use them? I could not find any information when I searched using search button. Has anyone here tried making a live signature, and if yes, could you please share the BB Code for it?

651  Economy / Economics / Re: Stable coin or having USD in bank on: September 14, 2023, 02:27:35 PM
Master and servant, well said, my friend. Obviously USDT is just a shadow and it can disappear at any time but it seems many people still prefer it over USD. They think that depositing money in a bank cannot be safer than holding USDT, which is actually a serious misconception. They forget USDT is also a completely centralized coin and even it is only offered by a private company and it cannot guarantee anything. Meanwhile, the USD is guaranteed by the US economy, the world's No. 1 power. USDT's capitalization is even smaller than 100 billion USD, while USD is the world's reserve currency, with a huge difference in safety.

I think because staking USDT provide more APY then USD in bank,
which is very easy and take low effort to stake, like just go online on any staking platform, or exchange which allow staking with good APY, Open an account, do KYC, send fund and earn interest.

Maybe most of them don't know risk behind it, most of them just listen some youtuber's telling USDT is safer than USD. they do not do their own research and invest in anything.
652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: percentage of your income you dollar cost average in bitcoin on: September 14, 2023, 02:17:37 PM
what portion of your overall income do you keep aside for the purpose of dollar cost averaging in bitcoin, and what methodologies or criteria do you employ to establish this allocation, thereby guaranteeing a well rounded strategy that aligns beautifully with your individual financial objectives and your level of comfort in dealing with financial risk?

This is once again one of those questions that are doomed to fail in providing you with helpful information, if that was your goal.

It depends on a countless number of things, the type of responsibilities someone has and above all, how much someone is making on a regular basis.

If we stick with "what portion of your overall income" idea, there is so much variation to still be considered before sticking to a plan that someone else might suggest. If someone is making $100,000 a month and is investing 50% of that into Bitcoin because it feels right and the lifestyle allows to do it and take the risk, maybe no kids or family is involved and no mortgages have to be paid back, then I guess there is no issue with that. But if someone has to feed 2 kids and pay a mortgage for house, I would say that 50% is too much even when the person is making $10,000 a month.

I think it's just not really helpful to hear from someone how much is invested in Bitcoin. Whether it is 5%, 20% or 50%, without any background info those numbers lack meaning for anyone else.

I guess in relative terms the more someone is making, the higher the percentage can be because that person could cut down on many things if necessary.

yes, doomed to fail information for you because you already know that it is variable to every individuals to how much percent can they invest in bitcoin, because everyone have their own responsibility, variable income, maybe they can handle their all expenses which their 1% salary of the month.
but this question is not a failed question because i learned from your reply and maybe someone other newbie who don't thinked in this way also will learn.
653  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Importance of inviting Newbies to Bitcointalk on: September 14, 2023, 02:08:02 PM
Sure. But a huge majority of these people would heavily favor modern social media platforms rather than a retro-style forum. I'm pretty sure most of these are even just smartphone users that don't even frequently use desktop/laptop computers. And we all know how painfully bad Bitcointalk can be when used on a mobile phone.

There's a reason why retro-style forums in general(outside of specific niches) have been slowly dying.

yes, and we don't want that type of people in our forum, because they will ask us questions like this "hello, how can i open account on bitcoincore?", "can i use my phone to post?", what is this captcha and how to remove it?,
some of those have very little knowledge about this kind of online things it's very frustrating to answer their questions and make them understand. I don't know in reality but i shared my experience with this kind of people.

we want to find people like us, they will be found on platforms like we use and interest we share. like watching informational documentary, eager to learn new things, on other opensource projects forums like linux, etc.
so discussion about bitcointalk forum on documentaries like "biography of satoshi nakamoto", "silk road hack", "tor documentary", etc. will attract more like minded people.
even i also come here to look at this forum after watching silk road documentary to see Ross Ulbricht's post.
654  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another reason and proof to keep funds in your wallet not in an exchange on: September 14, 2023, 01:46:44 PM
it will be better to store your crypto in self custody wallet or hardware wallet if the funds are big. I am not very concerned about using CEX to store crypto. because i mostly trade with very small amount so i don't worry about it, and if i tried to store in self custody wallet it will eat my half of the crypto in transaction fees.
655  Other / Meta / Re: where we can see the forum time? on: September 14, 2023, 01:36:16 PM
The website's time zone is based on UTC+0 if I'm not wrong, but anyone can change their local time based on their own country's time zone. When you have changed your local time zone then others will also see the changed offset instead of the forum's default time zone.
yes, the websites time zone is UTC+0 and I prefer not to change the local time because local time, i can see on bottom right of my desktop, and UTC time on top right corner of the forum, most signature campaigns and contests use UTC time zone, just some campaign managers uses other time zones.
656  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New Ninjastic.space: which features would you like to see? on: September 13, 2023, 01:20:39 PM
But in a global view, of the entire forum? Or just in an individual view per user?
In both cases, it seems like a very interesting idea to me.
I was talking about global view like we see on front page of "posts this month" graph view.
But it seems nice idea for individual profile's merit graph view also.

I would like to suggest one more idea: viewing real time users online, including how many bots are online, how many not registered people are reading something.

This is not very necessary just an interesting idea to share. Mostly influenced by shroomery.org forum.

i also now living with my parents, and have no interest in buying luxury things, going to trips, partying with friends, etc. so i can save my 100%(which is not huge in india the salary is like $150/month) of the income, thinking to invest all of it in bitcoin by DCA strategy.
my strategy is to invest 100% of the income in 30days which is buying 1 time in 5 days.
is it a good strategy? buying more frequently gives us more average entry point.
658  Other / Meta / Re: where we can see the forum time? on: September 13, 2023, 12:20:05 PM
Is it  that simple?
That's stupid, I haven't seen so many small things. I have been on this forum for 9 months and I had forgotten about this corner of time that I saw when I first registered on this forum.
I was finding "forum time" section here:

it's an interesting section on the bottom of the forum to dive in.
659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big capital, small risk or small capital big risk - which is best approach? on: September 13, 2023, 12:01:43 PM
when i play with small bet like 0.3% of my total capital, i feel good and like to take risk and lose some initial bets.
but someday after losing too many 0.3% bets. i bet a big chunk of my account and mostly i lose that also, then i just tremble. it's very danger and painful to lose big chunk of account at once.
it's like someone cut my fingers and i do nothing about it just watch and cry. but gamble with amount that you can afford to lose so you don't feel the pain and get depressed for weeks or months.
660  Other / Meta / where we can see the forum time? on: September 13, 2023, 11:52:49 AM
many times i seen users telling "this campaign will end on this date and time on forum time" but where i can see the forum time?
when seeing in my profile it written local time, and seeing other user's profile it shows another local time. but the local time do not match with my country time.
