Just a reminder that bittrex wallet is still disabled for upgrading BUT you can still trade NAV right now here:

https://www.bittrex.com/Market/?MarketName=BTC-NAV

current github does not compile... we'll get it updated as soon as we can review and compile the code.

thanks
richie@bittrex

Thanks Richie, we will check which source is on the github and make sure its the most up to date one. We will get back to you shortly.

Cheers

Its my problem, what I need to do ?

This is a type of problem that occurs only when there is still no block loaded.
Once you have the first block the rest shall work regularly.

As a temporary solution downloads the complete chain block, and put th file in the Navajocoin directory.

Have you renamed the folder in your appdata location from summercoinv2 to navajocoin ? You also need to update the conf file name. If you follow soopys instructions it should fix this error.

Hi Everyone.

As stated, this is the new version of the wallet which runs using the updated block chain we have implemented for the hard fork.

The wallet has the anon feature built into it, but we have disabled it until the network stabilises onto the hard fork. You will get a message popup saying that Anon transactions are disabled if you tick the box and attempt to send.

We are in the process of installing the new wallets onto our Anon nodes. Once the hard fork occurs and the network is stabilised, we can run our final suite of tests on the Anonymous Transactions over the main block chain.

Once we've run these tests and are happy the Anon network is performing well on the main block chain, we will activate this feature for you all to use.

So there are still a couple more steps until everyone has access to Anon transactions, but we are on the home stretch. Not long to go now. Everything is falling into place.

Thanks for your patience!

 Cool

We are with you for so much time that few more days doesn't change anything Smiley It will shake out last weak hands for smaller price which is also good for everybody! Cheesy
Thanks for your support, we will not let you down!

Ok, great to hear its getting deployed and i understand the hardfork part.

We can safely leave the coins in our wallet right?

Yes, your coins are safe on your wallet during the hard fork. We have hard forked the Navajocoin before without issue.

Guys, I know that this isn't the announcement you were probably hoping for.

As explained, transitioning the network to process block chain powered anonymous transactions it is a bit more of a process than we had hoped as well.

Buy the dips, we are on the home stretch!

damn looks like i was late to get more nav under 3k

There's still 126.96140614 @ 0.00002999 on bittrex  Tongue

so it will be like dark coin???  Huh

Much, much better than  DRK !!   Cool
how so?  Smiley whats different or unique?

DRK is essentially just a coin mixer and if I understand their technology correctly they use a centralized database to keep track of destination addresses.

Using a centralised database to manage a decentralised system thoroughly defeats the purpose.

We use the navajo private subchain to move our instructions from the incoming to outgoing node, meaning we're running on decentralised block chain technology rather than databases.

Much more secure, much lower risk of attack, much more awesome, such wow.

We also do the coin mixing thing, but by using the subchain, we physically side step the paper trail and the coins can't be definitively traced back to the source.

Plus our wallet has a bunch of extra features like a stake calculator, market tickers & built in chat client Smiley

Official Announcement - Anonymous Technology Release Date

Dear Community!

We are very pleased to announce the official release date for our Anonymous Technology to the Main Navajocoin Block Chain!

Monday 9 March 2015

Since the success of the unencrypted beta test of the transaction infrastructure, the Dev team has been busily working, adding the asymmetric double encryption to the anonymous system as well as SSL across all of the network nodes.

Let me explain again what makes Navajo Anonymous Technology so unique and valuable.

-------------------- NAVAJO ANONYMOUS TRANSACTIONS --------------------

Here's a technical overview of how the anonymous transaction system works

-------------------- NAVAJO DOUBLE ENCRYPTION --------------------

As explained previously by Pakage, all communication between the wallet, the API server and between the nodes is encrypted and sent over SSL. This means that someone who is actively reading the data coming in and out of your IP address or in and out of our servers can not decipher what is being transmitted into plain text.

All destination addresses sent via the block chain are encrypted by the wallet using an Asynchronous encryption key pair.

Asynchronous encryption means that the wallet will get supplied with a public key which can encrypt data but can NOT decrypt data. The Nodes will retain the private key and never broadcast it. The private key is the only thing which can decrypt something encrypted by the public key. This means that at no point in time is anything broadcast which can be used to decrypt the destination address and the destination address is encrypted before leaving the wallet, so the destination address is never ever transmitted in plain text or in a format which can be deciphered.

When we transmit the transaction information over the private subchain we decrypt and then re-encrypt the destination address with a new key pair and send it in a similar manner to the outgoing servers and this all also happens over encrypted SSL communication.

These key pairs are regularly replaced on the servers, as to protect past transactions in the unlikely event that a security breach occurs.

-------------------- PROJECT STATUS --------------------

COMPLETED

Beta Test of Anonymous Transaction Infrastructure is complete.
Double Encryption scripts have been written for the Navajo Magic Gateway and Choctaw Star Gate nodes.
SSL communication has been added to all nodes and to the API server.
Wallet encryption of the destination address has been completed.

 IN PROGRESS

Refining and Optimizing the transaction obfuscation methods.
Adding validation layers to the wallet transaction form.
Thorough end to end testing of anonymous transactions with the new encryption layers.
Porting the final code over from the Beta wallet to the main wallet.
Thorough end to end testing of anonymous transactions on the main network.
Releasing the finished wallet to the public.

--------------------

As you can see, the majority of the work is completed. The Dev team is now transitioning to a testing and refinement phase before we prepare to port the anonymous transactions over to the main network.

Thorough testing is very important, we are not going to risk rushing the Navajo Anonymous Transactions to the public with any bugs. We understand the importance of our work and what it means to the world. We are going to take the time to make sure that the code we release is high quality and works exactly as described in the whitepaper. That is the reason why we have decided to delay the release from the tentative March 1 date until Monday the 9th of March. I hope you can understand our decision around this and help us spread the good word about Navajo Anonymous Technology over the next 10 days.

We will keep you updated with periodic status reports.

We will also be releasing the updated whitepaper as soon as we receive the finished version back from the designer.

Best wishes

- Navajo Coin Development Team

Why are you anonymous person? http://www.navajocoin.org/foundation If this project may be one of the best you should be transparent Smiley

Navajo is a powerful technology and there will be people / organisations / governments who want to try and shut it down or worse..

That is why we don't blatantly broadcast our personal information.

However I bet that you could easily find out who I am with a bit of google searching. We are not hiding. We are not afraid.

After so much branding and development, directory still says summercoinv2? You guys dont want to change that to navajo?

Thanks for reminding me, we are going to update this for the March 9 release Smiley
652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAVAJO COIN - Anonymous Technology on: February 28, 2015, 01:49:23 AM
hey i have a question. i started staking my wallet last night. then until now my weight is still the same. is there something wrong with my wallet? the expected time for reward changes
but my weight does not

Have you unlocked your wallet? If it's locked, you won't receive any stake. You can unlock your wallet using the button on the overview page, or if you prefer to keep your wallet locked, you can unlock staking only mode through one of the top menus.

The minute it hits 3000 down we go. Doing my tits in

DEVs are working hard to improve this coin.

exposed the scam going down on March 1

this coin is a scam?

There is NO scam! Have a look at all of tukho's posts - 100% bullshit troll

Guys, I know that you understand by now that this coin is not a scam. Our successful beta test proved that we have a subchain system setup which can process anonymous transactions. Simple as that. The technology is there and ready to go. You all tested it and it worked.

Also, I would like to remind everyone that March 1 was a rough estimate, not a concrete date.

The next steps for us since the beta test have been to add the double encryption layer across the network and wallet as well as testing the technology on the main blockchain before releasing it to the public. We also are working on tightening server security and tidying up a couple other loose ends.

We are well underway in this process. I have already written the server scripts which run the double encryption using the Asynchronous Encryption method which I outlined in a previous post.

Currently we are plugging that in to the wallets encryption layer and thoroughly testing it.

Thorough testing is very important, we are not going to rush Navajo out to market full of bugs. We are going to take the time to make sure that the code we release is high quality and works exactly as described on the box.

We are working on a public announcement which will set a concrete release schedule for the anonymous system onto the main block chain. We will have this announcement ready within the next couple of hours.

Stay tuned for more information.

Cheers,
Pakage

This is an effect of your work, or is there some other problem on the network of server?

Bye Bye

Word ..the site was down a couple of times for a bit. Due to work I hope.. whats the dealio  Huh

Right now for me is off-line. The reason I ask this is just to understand.

If there is another type of problem, I think the Dev should be advised, otherwise
we can not expect that the problems will resolve themselves.

From my point of view, give feedback about how things work or not,
is the best support that we can give to its developer.

Bye

Thanks Remy_5, we are aware of some of the issues. I will direct Shahim to your post, he his our Systems Engineer and he can take a look at what is happening.

The double encryption is a very interesting technology.
can someone elaborate on this "double encryption" tec  so i can buy more Smiley
BUMP!!!!!!!!!!  Grin

The first layer is that all communication between the wallet and our API server is encrypted and sent over SSL. As is the communication between the Nodes and the API. This means that someone who is actively reading the data coming in and out of your IP address or in and out of our servers can not decipher what is being transmitted into plain text.

The second layer is that the destination address will be encrypted by the wallet using an Asynchronous encryption key pair.

These key pairs are regularly replaced on the servers, as to protect past transactions from if a security breach occurs.

We do of course use the block chain to transmit the final destination address and by encrypting the destination address, no one can simply view the address by looking at the block chain.

When we transmit on the subchain we decrypt and then re-encrypt the destination address with a new key pair and send it in a similar manner to the outgoing servers and this all also happens over encrypted SSL communication.

I hope this makes the process a bit clearer and hopefully explains why it is a complex thing to achieve!

Cheers,
Pakage

I looked at the description of the Navajo State of the Art Anonymous Technology, and was wondering can I run my own Magic Gateway and Choctaw Star Gate? And if so, how many of them can I run?

Hey illodin, I know that this is in the original whitepaper. We are currently in discussion to figure out whether this is still practical. I am concerned that if we let people setup their own anon nodes, they will be able to change the code and exploit the system. They would also be able to spy on transactions and potentially trace them.

I think the idea of decentralised nodes is something which we would actually build into the wallet itself as another layer on top of what we already have developed.

In that case, each wallet could act as a pre-node to the navajo anonymous network. Meaning that if you choose for the transaction to be anonymous, before entering our Anon network, it would be bounced around through anyone who has their wallet set to be a node which will further obscure the physical origin of the sent coins.

I will let you know the outcome of our discussions. We will clarify this point in our new white paper which should be released very shortly.

Cheers,
Pakage.

Yep, classic market manipulation. It worked too. Whoever it was managed to pick up a few hundred thousand NAV under 3k Satoshi's.

Don't let these tactics get in your head. We are stronger than ever and we have great things just around the corner!

 Cool

blah blah blah...... I would like to ask again when double encryptcion + anon was relased ? Ninja launch ?

on march 1

Why March 1 ?
I would like to hear it from soopy452000.

March 1 is our goal date. If it's not March 1, then it will be shortly after.

We will make an official announcement next week with the date verified.

Each time the promises of Navajo always be extended..!!
Therefore Navajo is no longer credible..

Each time is given a day with developments, but as yet nothing happens..

As we have said before, you will see..

I would like to remind you Gökhan and anyone reading this bullshit that the Navajo dev team have achieved every single milestone we have set ourselves over the last 6 months.

Gökhan's statement is a simple, straight up lie.
