I did one thing right today, I sold at 1050 and 1095. The big mistake was buying back at $903

This is The Great Crash!

I WAS RIGHT!!!

Yep, crashed right back up to 1230+  LOL

Someone (or a few people) dumped over 1000 coins and we are almost back to where we started on GOX.  That seems impressive to me.  I don't know.  I think in the past a dump like that would have caused more panic.

We should use some of our new-found wealth to fund a bitcoin country, something like what seasteading institute is doing. We shouldn't have to waste money on taxes when it can be used for so much good instead.
We may soon be able to found a semi-autonomous city in Honduras.
Thanks, I remember watching that video and it sounded really exciting. Will definitely have to keep an eye on this.

"I can guarantee that hard-core libertarians are going to be disappointed with the first zones"

Well, at least a step in the right direction. Competitive governments is the way to go.

I think there was also an issue with him scamming people for some sort of Bitcoin Summit.  It was in the Netherlands or something and supposedly was going to be the most luxurious trip with like all sorts of amenities (I remember he was particularly proud of his filtered water).
lol, he never scammed anyone, there was a bitcoin summit in finland, trailer: http://vimeo.com/79972491 (password: bitcoin), anyways he got into some arguments with the hotel and after that he ended up being hospitalized. And the staff there asked him if it was okay that he was involuntary hospitalized.  Cheesy

So with the "get rich quick" schemers on board is that a bullish sign or a bearish sign?  Huh

First one, then the other.
Grin lol

ok guys who of you produced this advertising pitch?

http://moneymorning.com/ext/bitcoin/videos/video-bitcoin.php

how come I've never stumbled upon this before?

Still figuring out how Bitcoin = Edison's renegade currency...  Huh

exceedingly annoying commentator. I'm half way through. Does he EVER describe anything, or just list a load of anecdotes, like a cheap pyramid scheme video ??

edit: sorry I couldn't finish it. Really got on my tits

Definitely directed for old people. They do kinda explain the bitcoin network, but not very well. Some good points about how the modern fiat currencies work, though.
This is so surreal. Feels like they're pushing a get rich scheme, a lot of hype/bullish talk in this video. And then there is also eventually promotion of a "get started" package for bitcoin named "Edison's revevenge: cashing in on bitcoin's unprecedented windfalls".

A few quotes:
"Bitcoin is the realization of edisons dream come true."

"Sure, you can lose some of it, or it can make you richer than your wildest dreams"

"The most exciting investment opportunity on the planet"

edit: once the video is finished you get redirected here. No bitcoin payment option though, lol.

edit 2: if you close the page you're offered the book for free. Classic.
