If Poloniex and Bter and Hitbtc can figure out how to detect XMR deposits and send XMR, then the groundwork has basically been done. There are a bunch of marketplaces that would be accepting XMR right now, such as Cryptsy, that aren't accepting XMR simply because it's not super-easy for them to figure it out. But not publicly documented - and this what we want. TheKoziTwo, as far as I remember, Poloniex got massive inspiration from your code at cryptonote.exchange.to for inclusion in Poloniex (and swaphole too). Could you prepare some documentation, that the community would happily polish? I'll see what I can do. Perhaps a code example / working demo would be useful. To give an update on this. I have begun coding a script (with database) that should include all basic functions required to accept monero (deposit/purchase,withdraw/transfer,check balance). While doing this I can also document the functions. I'm using the available pre-built libraries for development, it seems some parameters I need to make it scalable are currently not included in those, or maybe I'm missing something (asking on irc). Once these issues are resolved I'll continue development. To get an idea, this is what it looks like currently (and incomplete) Feel free to give suggestions.

I underestimated the scope of this project and set too ambitious of a schedule for it. Zerocoin will be probably be ready within 2-3 months, but I don't want to give any more release dates (either for testnet or mainnet) until I am very, very close. I will not make this mistake again.
I will continue to give status updates, and I have made tremendous progress in recent weeks. As I promised, I will still work full time on this until November 1, and I expect to have a few hours a day after that to work on it.
(as a side note I'm still waiting for my cryptsy deposit for more than 3 months)

People buying on localbitcoins are fucking retards.
I mean, I can perfectly understand people SELLING them there (you get a premium and you launder money perfectly), but BUYING THEM there? Are you an idiot? Why the hell would you pay a lot more for your coins if they might be stolen coins everybody is tracking in the blockchain?
I guess the most retarded combo would be: "investor" in bitcoins bought on localbitcoins and r/bitcoin enthusiast. Like, it can't get anymore retarded than that lol
Seriously? In some places it's EXTREMELY difficult to buy bitcoins other than that. As for the tracking, there's a MILLION (known) ways to mix stolen bitcoins prior selling them (not counting unknown). Besides, localbitcoins is anonymous. Some people want to stay that way. Try buying anonymously from an exchange. Yeah; can't be done. Not only that, some people prefer to buy bitcoin anonymously without having them tied to their bank account or scanned identity documents.

to work for escrow seems to work for free to me, that's right, that are my terms, I'm looking forward if you want to develop, please feel free to make your own terms. I will donate to you 200xmr without escrow to move Monero forward. Please explain the bold. just to say, I offered you an alternative to donate the futher development steps if "you don't know and believe me". there is no reason to offend me without cause. if you'd mine on my pool, you'd have known, my reputation is the fisrt point for me. I wouldn't scam for 10-13BTC, and destroy all my hard work for more than a year. I also started and spending my time for MoneroClub not to scam you for 200xmr Don't be ridiculous. You shouldn't get offended if people on the internet don't trust you. like you have a bad expirience with donate for scam project, I have a bad expensive with some customers who didn't paid after work because some of them (also due to having less technical notion) imagined something other as a result, or just disappered with my done solution, or were in a bad mood or something like that.. just human factor, many years enough to decide only to work with prepayment Yeah I have worked as freelancer myself for a few years, I know to define the terms clearly upfront and for the most part I had few issues and usually did not require upfront payment. I consider escrow a sort of upfront payment because as long as you fulfill your part of the deal, the money will be yours. I personally will not participate in this without escrow and clearly defined terms, but I do wish you, and the donators, the best of luck in making it succeed.

I agree. If we do it bounty-style, I'm willing to donate 200 XMR through an escrow so that you will receive the funds upon delivery of the finished product.
Yep, me too. I will donate at least 200 XMR, maybe more depending on the plan. I suggest smooth as escrow.

simple and genius... i believe any solid ecommerce fork with monero built in will have tremendous start in anonymous transactions area. In fact Atrides can really expand into this and build himself a niche business in addition to pool operations. if this really takes off i see great anon ecommerce platform that would be pretty much adaptable to any business model.
I don't mind at all if someone else will develop freebazaar. how mentioned, it is an opensource project, free for everyone. That's just the opportunity for Monero to do this faster than the other and attract a great attention. no matter who does this, the point is to get as quicker as possible. the best thing would be if "original" Openbazaar would just add monero, we could safe time.. but they're moving very slowly themselves. I wrote to someone by pm, this is a serious "full-time" project, not an "after-work-evening-job", who can work for free? openbazaar devs don't earn anything from developing, they asked the community about donation, since last spring they got 19.7BTC, no wonder that it isnot ready yet.. everone is delighted with the idea, but not many want really to do something for that..I don't believe this is true. You asked me for contributions, I am willing to contribute, just not on your terms: "send money to this XMR address" If you put out a plan with details on exactly what and when something will be completed and then found a trustworthy escrow to hold the funds I think many would be willing to contribute. Once you have delivered the escrow could release the funds. The issue is not that "not many want really do something for that", but rather that "not many are willing to send money to random strangers on the internet", especially without a concrete plan.

Poloniex used to have some issues with withdraws failing, large ones in particular. This was probably due to many smaller deposits causing large number of inputs for these transactions. They would be too big and fail. Instead of combining small inputs themselves (and thus take the fee hit) it seems they have changed their approach to simply send small inputs directly to the customers withdraw address. This way they are moving the burden of small transactions on to their customers and avoid failed withdraws (or having to pay high fees to combine inputs).

I'm trying to send some xmr from mymonero. I'm getting the message "Too many amounts" What does this mean Is there some limit to how much I can send at one time? There is no limit, however if you have a lot of inputs you can't send a big amount. Just like with mining directly to your monero wallet, if you receive many dust transactions to your wallet you may only be able to send a small amount like 1.3 XMR. I noticed this problem after making a withdraw from poloniex to mymonero, when trying to send I got the same issue. When I looked at my transactions there were many instead of just 1. You can avoid this issue by making one large transfer to your wallet instead of many small ones. Perhaps you can make a new mymonero wallet and make as big transfer as possible to it, then send it back to your wallet in one transaction.

I am really eager to see something from dev team, but no news on development for so long time...
My guess is that they have given up bytecoin, they know it has no chance being a pre-mine. It would make more sense for them to build something new, from scratch / different code, and release it in a fair manner instead of updating bytecoin only to have monero clone it.

I don't get it. I've clicked on the links, I've registred, but the trying to log in i just get "NO ACCOUNT EXISTS WITH THAT EMAIL ADDRESS.". It did let me download a file that was NEARLY 1.3GB, it missed the suffix ,mp4. Tried to rename it with the .mp4 suffix to se if it would play, but it did not. Possibly a corrupted download with parts of the file missing. teh internets is hard!! I'll try redownloading it and see it it works this time. /OnkelSkrue Bitcasa just announced that they will delete all users files, so it may be related to that. Anyhow, I just begun seeding the torrent (the large version at least), so it should work with bittorrent now Edit: Seeding both now: http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/7610746http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/7612572

Since you closed your previous topic, I ask again here:
How do you intend to solve the trust issue with zerocoin, the initial parameters?
