641  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why? on: October 26, 2012, 11:05:45 PM
From my point of view there is not BTC market any more.
You can't invest bitcoins since there is no market, so the only way to make money is the dump and pump.

Where I come from markets exists to facilitate buying and selling of stuff and price discovery.

+1

BTC market is not a typical one, from my point of view.
Everybody criticize it for not being a vehicle of real trading, but it still exists, so we have to accept it.

Ahh good fresh FUD, one of these times they come out of their hiding.

It's not fresh. You can see by yourself, that even if pirateat40 was a negative experience it dumped the price, because there was a lot of willing investors from outside of btc world. When it defaulted there were still OBSI, and GLBSE.
But now, seriously where may you invest your BTC's?
And why Nefario got so scared as to shut his site instead of selling it? I will not tell you what I think, as I don't need FUD (I'm on BTC side right now and am not going to sell, so personally I'd need the price to go up ;-))

644  Economy / Services / [update] looking for a very easy SEO support service, paying by bitcoins on: October 18, 2012, 05:59:07 PM
I have a page which I need to push a bit up in the google search.
I know that it would be very easy, since I had it on the first line for years, using very simple instruments for that.
But I don't want to dedicate my time for it any more and am ready to pay for the service with bitcoins.
Is there any body desiring to work with me on the project?

[update] I'd mostly need backlinks and bookmarks to my page, as the page itself is already optimized.
645  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How would be better to invest 1.000.000 $ into BTC economy? on: October 01, 2012, 06:57:09 PM
If someone would ask you an advice, how to invest better 1.000.000 $ into BTC economy, what would you advice him to do, to maximise his revenue?
(imagine he'd recognise you 50% of profit in case your idea helps him to make any)

put it all in Litecoin.  pump & dump the hell out of that.

I like your idea and what about PPCoin and Namecoin?
646  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How would be better to invest 1.000.000 $ into BTC economy? on: September 30, 2012, 10:26:26 PM
1. Buy bitcoins. Say you manage 80,000 BTC (at 12.5 each).
2. Buy 50mn S.MPOE stock (~20,000 BTC atm). Buy 5mn S.DICE stock (~20,000 BTC atm)
3. Sit on ~40k BTC wait for the ASICs to show up or not. At some point in 2013 (or even 2014) when that industry finally is mature buy ASICs at a fair price (probably less than 1/10 what they claim now).

This strategy will likely return the highest USD-value portofolio on January 1st 2015. (~100,000 BTC worth $100 to $1,000 each).

What is S.MPOE stock?

649  Economy / Securities / Re: BTC-Mining is pretty much free money at this point. on: September 24, 2012, 12:18:25 PM
I guess CPA is selling their assets.
Same situation with OBSI on GLBSE.

CPA does not invest in securities, we only invest in funds or other guaranteed deposit takers ^^

I'm basing my judgement on the following affirmations you made here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=110122.0;all:

... we have assets we need to sell, and no one is buying because no one has any money. [...] We HAVE the assets, a lot of them, but we are just having difficulty converting them into BTC. [...] we could pay you in shares of almost any company on GLBSE that you wanted. [...] We hold a very wide range of assets.
650  Economy / Economics / Re: The current bitcoin market is inefficient on: September 24, 2012, 12:14:28 AM
Markets being efficient means that price movements become a random walk. Bitcoin prices are almost certainly predictable

No so much, but still you are right.

652  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: It's my first experience of mining, is it normal that I have always thread 0? on: September 23, 2012, 12:46:14 AM

Thank you! I figured it out somehow, but was not able to find it on web :-/
653  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: It's my first experience of mining, is it normal that I have always thread 0? on: September 21, 2012, 05:45:41 PM
But what exactly "thread" means?
654  Bitcoin / Mining support / It's my first experience of mining, is it normal that I have always thread 0? on: September 21, 2012, 05:30:39 PM
I'm on my first experience with mining.
I installed minerd and am trying to mine PPCoins on bitparking, but while I'm mining I'm having always thread 0 in each line of output.

Is it normal? I also not able to see any stats change on my account on bitparking pool. It there any way to check whether I'm connected correctly?
Thank you in advance for any suggestion.

660  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anybody knows why BTCs are going up so quickly today? on: September 14, 2012, 10:23:29 PM
Is there any news that make bitcoins going up these days?

Perhaps they are trying to pop up the price so much as to pay for the Romney tax return 1 BTC? Smiley

Any idea is welcome.
