641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT HAPPENED WHILE I WAS GONE? on: November 02, 2019, 12:52:35 PM
Our current situation we have right now can be considered good and bad at the same time.
The current price of every crypto in the market has finally shown improvement on their prices, the bad thing is scam projects are still there, and their current number is still increasing.

the current state of the cryptocurrency market is not the same as in 2017. All altcoin prices drop by up to 90% more and many projects continue to come along with scammers that make crypto increasingly shunned by investors. Even ICO which used to be very popular has now changed to IEO, but IEO is no guarantee that scammers will disappear. Scammers are smarter and take advantage of every opportunity available. Just waiting for the chance for bitcoin to go up, maybe in 2020 the market will improve and altcoin will start to recover.
That's why we need to be smarter too in investing, if the scammers is improving in scamming, we investors or traders should be smarter in choosing the project, we should learn from those they scammed as well to think advance of the project ideas if it will for the long term, if the team is legit and the company is registered better if there is a develop product that is working already.
I agree; however, It's hard to outsmart scammers, the only thing we can do is to avoid them. Even finding a good project, most of the time, it still ends up being a scam project.

How can you say that you were scammed when you are not even included in the bounty sheet?

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19qH7FI5KV4ADizAAcxCT-s3hmpOi0iPb-suxG69MbP4/edit#gid=944810717

Please show more evidence with regards to your accusations. As far as I can see, you weren't accepted and you didn't even participate. You weren't even posting reports like the others in the bounty thread.

Bounty Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5145457.0
Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19qH7FI5KV4ADizAAcxCT-s3hmpOi0iPb-suxG69MbP4/edit#gid=944810717

Your findings make me laugh, Eraldo coil is not included as one of the participants in this campaign. Signature, Twitter, Articel, and Youtube, there are currently no programs in progress.

OP, what do you expect from a campaign that you dont support ? You will not get anything unless you invest in it. But you say you have implemented and posted for months, there is no name in the spreadsheet which means you are not included in the greetings of one campaign participant.
Then this is the main reason why he is not awarded after the project, even after getting done the KYC.
It's only natural for a certain campaign to exclude rewards to those who do not participate in their project. I think OP did not know or actually participated, he just did the job without applying for it.

OP, you should know and read the rules before participating in a campaign. You should also know that you should become a participant first before getting the job done.
645  Economy / Economics / Re: China’s President Xi Urges Accelerated Blockchain Technology Adoption on: November 02, 2019, 09:26:34 AM
I don't know what mean by China president with adoption blockchain bitcoin or altcoin as legal transaction payment, we want to play with bitcoin price for get profit or just playing drama with bitcoin and altcoin price, if they are serious want to adopt bitcoin maybe China president have asking for their institution for prepare needed to adopt bitcoin and altcoin transaction, but now still not have seriously how to adopt bitcoin in China.
What I know is that they only want to adopt Blockchain technology, not want to adopt Bitcoin, because they will most likely make their own Crypto for use in China. But if later they want to adopt Bitcoin I think it is a good step for the world of Crypto because it could be that the price of Crypto will increase.
Yep! As we have understood on the Chinese President's statement, their main focus is blockchain technology, not bitcoin nor altcoins. They wanted to lead the development of blockchain technology and use it to their advantage. They may create their own coin to regulate and run it to increase their socioeconomic status.

That's because they cannot control or profit from bitcoin. It makes sense they want their people to adopt their own crypto which is under their control. It is a bit odd though TBH since they don't like bitcoin and spoke about it like they were against it. They not against technology they against whoever controls it. Now they can mine their own currency and mind their own business and have their own blockchain separate from ours.
One thing I do wonder is how much of Chinese mining hash rate will be used for its new coin?
And this is the only solution they have. Stop demanding to control bitcoin and try to make their own.
China doesn't have any other option. It is impossible to control bitcoin that's why they come up to this decision. They wanted to gain the same popularity and they have seen the possibility of using blockchain technology for future purposes.
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the safest way to buy crypto? on: November 02, 2019, 05:34:14 AM
I think Binance Exchange can be an option for you to buy Crypto which is safe and reliable. If you intend to save your Crypto then I recommend to you to use a hardware wallet, do not store your Crypto on the Exchange unless your Crypto is for trading.
Popular exchange such as binance may be the option he is looking for. We know that binance is a good exchange and it is the biggest exchange as of now. Or maybe he can go to yobit which is KYC is not needed to buy and withdraw funds from the exchange.

I do agree, storing funds in an exchange is not advisable, you might lose it or if your account has been compromised the chances for your funds to be recovered is impossible. Better to use a bitcoin wallets such as a hardware wallet or a mobile application wallet.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is happening with ETHEREUM Now? on: November 02, 2019, 04:11:24 AM
The whole market actually is experiencing the same situation as ethereum, all other altcoins and it includes even bitcoin.
It is still hard for ethereum to increase its price, however, we can still see an improvement to its price compared to the past few weeks.

I want to know the opinion of all crypto friends in this forum about Ethereum, because the price of Ethereum is currently unable to rise beyond the $ 300 figure. ethereum prices are only between $ 150 - $ 250. and this incident makes me wonder, why did this happen to Ethereum ??
at this time it was not only ethereum that experienced it. I think almost all crypto experience the same thing. it seems that this is a major trend in cryptocurrency that is still weak. when the bullrun session comes, I think your wish will be fulfilled, or we wait a little while v 2.0 will occur at the beginning of the year

Yes, we're still in the bearish market. The bull run is yet to come, and we just have to wait for more months or maybe a year. Our situation will change when the right time comes.
648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share Your Experiences on: November 01, 2019, 03:40:55 PM
I didn't know Bitcoin before, I just found out about it with a friend of mine who also uses bitcoin. It made me curious to know this because I didn't have a job back then. So I started bitcoin by claiming faucet sites, invesments and more. Probably the best experience I've had here was the first time I received bitcoin in my wallet. (0.0001 BTC) worth 0.10 $. That's why I was so happy.

The most frustrating thing that has happened to me here is that I would have earned 10 BTC in trading. But because I was scared then I sold my token right away thinking the price would drop right away.
Curiosity really drives us to where we are right now.

That is also the same experience I have, after knowing bitcoin from a friend thru social media, I started to do research and ask him directly about it. I tried everything, investing, trading and even gambling just to earn.
My curiosity opens a new path and gives me an opportunity to learn and earn at the same time.
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: be careful with projects that offer you great prizes, that is not a guarantee of on: November 01, 2019, 03:14:27 PM
As our current situation in the bounty campaigns, it is impossible for every project to raise enough money to provide allocated funds in the bounty campaigns. We should not expect too much bounty and do not be blind by their offer.

Indeed there are some projects that offer huge benefits but at the end of the project we cannot get satisfactory results even the time we spend does not match the results, but there are also some projects that offer not lucrative but the results we can satisfy, then we are very difficult to judge a good project for us to follow.
Assessing a project is indeed very difficult, so we need careful analysis in terms of choosing a project, of course it makes no sense if the project offers many benefits to everyone, while they are just starting.

Analyzing a project is one of our tasks, that's why thinking advance and realizing the possible things to happen and assessing our current situation can help to avoid these kinds of projects.
650  Economy / Economics / Re: Can you share Bitcoin percentage in your portfolio? on: November 01, 2019, 02:29:05 PM
As for me

40% BTC
30% ETH
20% XRP
10% BCH

I'm not holding too much coin as of now since I recently converted it to btc and some for ethereum.

My current portfolio
66% btc
24% xrp
9%   ltc
1%   shittoken with low value
I could say that soon xrp will dominate in my portfolio, because I often buy xrp rather than ltc.
why not just hold bitcoin?hmm.. depending on the situation, if there is a signal the price of bitcoin will go up, i will sell xrp and buy bitcoin.
Xrp is still stay in top region so you can hold this altcoin, may be it will raise again. But Bitcoin is the long term trusted cryptocurrency so as soon as possible you can exchange to BTC  it will make good profit on future. Normally  Ripple is banking support platform so some peoples are move BTC so market will going to moon.
Considering XRP on how good it is after having issues before, it stays on its position as top 3.
Being centralized does not stop it to stand to be one of the popular altcoins, tho a lot of crypto users doesn't really want a centralized coin, we can still say that there are still more users who want XRP.
651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is difficult to accept in countries on: November 01, 2019, 01:25:12 PM
Bitcoin will always be controversial no matter what, but the thing is, no country can stop or have control over it. Although some countries are putting a hammer ban, there are also nations on the opposite side of the spectrum who see benefits and welcome it with open arms, i.e. Japan or Australia or Germany.

at this time we know that the Blockchain is being discussed in large countries. and some time ago the Chinese president was welcome on Blockchain. But what about Bitcoin? there is still a lot of controversy going on. Even the US (SEC) is still rejecting the given bitcoin proposal. while we know. Bitcoin is the first carrier of Blockchain technology for general use. is it because of the basic bitcoin that has an anonymous background? so it is difficult to be accepted by the state. could bitcoin be separated someday? I mean Blockchain will be positively welcomed in the world. while Bitcoin will remain controversial.
share your opinions.
As for the technology, it has already taking the world by storm. They are even talking about blockchain 2.0 already, which means that it has already evolved and many industries have been implementing it.
Bitcoin being decentralized is the reason why it is hard for large countries to be accepted.
Other countries will most like to focus their sight on blockchain technology as they started creating their own crypto. In this way, they don't need to control or manipulate bitcoin but to become one of its competitors.
652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What scares you the most? on: November 01, 2019, 12:18:24 PM
As for me, I am worried when the time that manipulation from the world government will come, no one can tell what will happen to its price.
There may be a positive and negative side to it, but who knows what will really happen.

This fun picture got me thinking. https://imgur.com/2GwIL5Y

What are your biggest fear in crypto?
As for me, it's losing my private keys by accident. I know that the risk is minimal, but the thought of it makes me anxious from time to time. Also, I'm afraid that BTC dumps during the transaction.

Waking up one morning and knowing that the whole cryptocurrency market went down to nothing?
Or maybe finding out that all your crypto (or your private keys) was stolen or lost somehow?

By the way, Happy Halloween!
I fear losing all my private keys, passphrase and other private info with regards in crypto. I am afraid that maybe someone could hack my account and stole all my hard-earned money as well. So basically, I am afraid of losing my savings because this is all I had, this is where my income came from, I have no job and I'm just relying in crypto. That is why I keep my private keys in safe place and I am the only one who have access on it.
Well, that's an individual fault or mistake.
Being responsible will avoid you from losing your private keys. Storing it to a hardware wallet will give you assurance and saving private keys to your google drive or one drive might help you to lose it.

653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FET & BINANCE Best of Scam ??? on: November 01, 2019, 10:45:52 AM
This is why I'am no want to invest in IEO binance .
IEO binance is hight risk , in there I just trade if token IEO listimg , because always pump and dump first time listing.
It's no risk when you join IEO on Binance but if you buy token when Binance open asset to trade, the risk will appear.
There's always a risk, participating in IEO is just the first step and your purpose of investing here is to be profitable, therefore, you should hope that once its already live trading in an exchange, it will value more than the IEO price.  Some people think its a scam because the price is down, but actually that's part of the risk, but there's always a right approach to every situation of a certain coin, and timing is really everything in investing and trading.

Unfortunately we will encounter the downfall but we should not conclude that the coin is scam since for sure there are certain factors that affects of it and maybe for now they are affected with current situation and it's  up for the trader and investors on what is the next move they need to do to gain on the current situation.

And if people will select to wait then for sure it will take time for  them to get what  they put on but if they select to cut  loss and buy at the cheapest maybe in future they can earn more profit with larger volume when they bough when the price is cheap.
Yes, because no altcoins can avoid the current situation we have in the market.
Bearish market is only natural to affect even the IEO. If its price will dump, it doesn't mean that the project is already a scam. In this current situation, OP's investment should be kept and stay to HODL. But the decision is all on him.
Investment takes time, OP should have realized it before investing.

655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are we really investing in bitcoin? on: October 31, 2019, 01:53:40 PM

As the thread grows in number pages the reasons of the users are mostly for profits. I was waiting for someone who will actually reply that they needed to invest in bitcoin for a purpose that its one currency used for buying illegal stuff online. It would be fun to ask which he had been buying. Pure reason for some is they use BTC for remittance besides monetary incentives.
I was also expecting stuff like that, Lol
However, no one seems to open up something like that in this thread. Majority of investment in bitcoin is to make a profit, not only for short term but most is for long term.
As for me, I am investing for my own security. Securing my future to assure that I have enough savings as long as I am still young and able to work while having bitcoin in our sight.
656  Economy / Economics / Re: US Congressman: Facebook Should Adopt Bitcoin, Drop Libra Project on: October 31, 2019, 12:00:27 PM
I don't think it's Bitcoin that they should be adopting at all. It's slow and Facebook will want some sort of control over it, with Bitcoin, they can't.

We've seen one of the Facebook blockchain devs (David Wong) singing Algorand's praises in recent weeks (not to mention interest amongst top banks too), maybe exploring their tech could be the way forward...

Who knows where this is going, I don't really think we need Libra to be honest. There's plenty of other platforms that make more sense and have already established a footing in the DeFi space (Algorand mentioned above, Ethereum/MakerDAO obviously).

This is the article that tells that
https://www.forbes.com/sites/ktorpey/2019/10/16/us-congressman-facebook-should-adopt-bitcoin-drop-libra-project/

I don't think Facebook is going to do that, they have no control on it's supply and they will have to spend more, small companies or even individual can create their own token, so why not Facebook, they have the means and can hire top notch coders, they can create a chain that is much better than other chain creator, the congressman is quick to call Libra Coin a shitcoin, when in fact this shitcoin can create a disruption, other shitcoin in the market can't do that.

Facebook won't consider that. Facebook created the Libra project as their own. It is nearly impossible for Facebook to drop its project just to adopt bitcoin which is impossible for them to control. They already started their project and it is under their reach to the success, if only their government legalize using it, then maybe it is progressing right now.

658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promoting ICO scams on: October 31, 2019, 10:11:36 AM
If these sites just go for some verification before promoting these scams, it would be very good for the visitors. Verification can include Mobile verification, Identity verification etc. These sites are an open image of crypto, if these sites just reduce their earned money by a bit and plan for long term then it would be beneficial for all of us.

Seriously, that's business and they don't care whether they're advertising scam projects or not. They'll just reason out that they're not affiliated to all of those and we should invest at our own risk.

And not surprising anymore as they're still being paid to fake trading volumes.

Money really run the world.  Roll Eyes

Indeed, same way as what most exchanges are doing. They dont care about the project they are always after the money, the more money they will get when projects or campaigns are being given to them they will not make an investigation first . Also some ICO rating site before are the same! The will advertize ICO whether it is scam or not as long as they will provide a kyc and money of course which is big, they will advertize it.
This is to be expected. CMC means business, they don't need to regulate the project who wants to be advertised. It is our responsibility to investigate if the project is worth to invest and worthy of our time.
CMC is just being used to put up their banner on its website to become known that a certain project is actually started running. CMC doesn't mean anything to them but as a tool.
659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you involved with Crypto? on: October 31, 2019, 09:06:10 AM
Aside from monetary incentives in crypto, I rarely come across discussions pertaining to why the average enthusiast in crypto is involved with crypto.

No doubt money is mostly the main reason many individual in the space got to know about cryptocurrency that's why the industry is mostly fill-up with Investors instead of volunteering developers wanting to take the industry to a new hight. I got into the industry because of the freedom associated with been a cryptocurrency user. I now have control over my funds, have the freedom to make a transaction at anytime in any place without seeking permission from a third party.
Money was just a second thought if you will analyze it, curiosity is the main reason why an individual person will get to know about crypto.
Curiosity on how the technology works on cryptocurrency.

Well, most of people here are millenials, and one of the attitude of millenials is being techie and as long as they can earn from it because of their gained skill they are here. It is hard for some millenials of find a job in this kind of world wherein if you dont have experience you will be rejected.
Indeed, Millenials are always curious about new things. We are willing to learn especially when it comes to technology.

We get into crypto by having curiosity on how does it work and having a question in our mind like how does it really give an opportunity to an individual to earn and learn at the same time.
660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is never going to be extinct on: October 31, 2019, 01:14:12 AM
Bitcoin is never going to be extinct
I believe its consensus will be higher and higher in the future.

I agree with you. In my opinion, Bitcoin is the last cryptocurrency that has the possibility of being extinct. It is the most powerful currency in the market. If it extincts, the market will have hard days I suppose.
Bitcoin might have all the chances to become mainstream in the future but i think it will also lost its value after a long time just like other currencies. Investing in bitcoin has always been very risky especially that governments are thinking to ban it but i know it will never be as easy as that. Bitcoin will still have to be very powerful in the future before it will lost its own value.
It is impossible, if there will be no development and bitcoin will remain the same even after a long time. It will become useless and people will move to another currency that is good enough to consider its value in the future.
Bitcoin is never going to be extinct
I believe its consensus will be higher and higher in the future.
Technology changes from time to time, that's the reality. We can
expect bitcoin's successor in the future.
Or maybe we can expect bitcoin to become our future. Bitcoin can be develop and improve. We can't still see its maximum capability, unless it happens, bitcoin will remain.
