6401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 30, 2019, 10:28:22 PM

There will be conflict of interest here bud, I hope it ends 1 - 1 so that I can the full 3 points in the prediction pool. However, I wish you good luck, even though it might cost me  Cool
Make sense LOL
Now the reality is after the goal Arsenal seems to busy defending the attacks from Man Utd. From last 20 minutes they are doing really good. If they get one more goal then I would not surprise at all.

Unfortunately the game ended with both teams sharing a point. I think it's was a brilliant result for Arsenal but wasn't for Manchester United. Arsenal arw now sitting at the fourth position on the table while Manchester United at the 10th. Aubameyang never disappoints seems he knew he wasn't offside guess that's why he comported himself to score the goal. Arsenal truely deserve a results from the game.

Disappointing week @FJ majestic 7, although great week to be a Chelsea fan, we finally got our home win and clean sheet, 😁
6402  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Facts} Disadvantage of promoting signature campaigns that encourages spamming. on: September 30, 2019, 09:53:48 PM
I presume this is largely inspired by Yobit's resurrection. Thing is though apart from a few exceptions none of its participants would stand a hope in hell of getting into any other campaign. They've managed to prove that within a couple of days.

They're going to hang themselves. I'm sure you can take it on without being hopeless but you'll need to be conscious of a lot of people watching you closely.
Yobit is actually out again with expected post of 20 max daily and they expect no spam, They think they can control spam even with their high rank member requirements?

Initially, the high ranked members criteria should have given them less spam compared to when they did allow lower ranked users and beside they have hired a well reputed manager with years of experience to tackle the quality of post of the campaign although one factor they refused to put into consideration was the minimum merit earned by users been accepted into the campaign this would had prevented dormant account from enrolling.

Best method to prevent or reduce spam would be to give the signature manager the ability to accept quality participants into the campaign that way spammers won't be given the opportunity to spam and get paid.
6403  Other / Meta / Re: Maximum number of posts eligible for payment on: September 30, 2019, 09:28:43 PM
You guys don't get, just as the altcoin board is left to drown in spam and all we do is complain upon complain with very few users doing the needful to sanitised the board, same fate is what signature campaign has on the forum. Something has to be done, maybe the suggestion been aired by forum users aren't the best (but in our defense we're just trying to help). The adminstrators should give the sector some attention. Leaving it unsanitised isn't helping matters.

Concerning your suggestion, although I don't buy into the idea of restricting any individual to a maximum number of post he/she can make on the forum daily. Still, those abusing the privilege should be severally punish that's the kind of sanitation I'm referring to. Deleting of spam isn't making much of an impact instead it's just increasing the number of posts made by spammers to meet up post count incase previous spams are deleted.
6404  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign on: September 30, 2019, 06:20:00 PM
Sorry, I read one thread and pay attention for such user https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=223772;sa=showPosts randomly. Is it normal for legend to get BTC for such posts?

It's a norm on poorly managed campaigns especially when such post avoid detection by reporters and not been deleted by moderators. On this campaign, they won't get paid for such post (the manager will do the needful when he's chance). If you observe, that account wasn't very active (this year) until few days ago after the launch of this signature campaign. Those are the type of users the manager was employed to tackle which he's doing a good job. Probably an alt ranked up through spamming during the days of just activities to rank up on the forum.

Question directed at OP, is there probably a maximum participates capacity as I observed participates are almost 300+ and any idea of the duration of campaign, just inquiring as I assume you might have more information than the average information out there.
6405  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] WOLF.BET Signature Campaign - Sr/Hero/Legendary - Up to 0.008 BTC/week! on: September 30, 2019, 05:34:11 PM
A private deal? What does it mean? He's paid above the other guys of the campaign ?
Probably yes, he posts a lot each week. He is in top 10 posters/week for a lot of weeks. He posts more than 100 even. So, it makes sense. I was trying to getting him into 2dice but bad luck that our budget wasn't that much, couldn't afford him.
Top 10? Where are you getting that stat or is that a general assessment? I don't recall seeing such a metric that on Bpip or loyce club.. if you don't mind sharing / refreshing my memory then I'd be highly obliged.

Since it's a private deal, it's best we leave it that way although he's getting paid for just signature ads (could be more, same or less). You can try tracking transaction from the host wallet (campaign fund) and match it with other addresses on the spreadsheet then the additional wallet receiving payment could be his but after identifying his payrate what'll be the benefits? Just waste of your time.

About his posting numbers, that's true, he posts alot although (reverse comment 😁😁), here's a confirmation;
I spend most of my time in this forum so obviously I make decent number of posts every week.
I can confirm you've posted more than anyone else (archived) in the past week Smiley

If you need more stats on others visit: Active users, top posters and most active topics in the past 1h, 24h and 7d

@OP, I love how you count weekly post, just observed it via speedsheet almost considered leaving campaign but I gave it a second thought, keep up the good work.
6406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 28, 2019, 08:10:29 PM
Mehn this sucks, so I'll be losing my yellow cap 😭 thought Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea could score more goals but they all disappointed anyways I'm grateful we got our first clean sheets and Lampard's first home win although I didn't predict a clean sheet but hopefully many more of those will come our way.

Seems lot of users got exact scoreline in this round, congrats on that. I just got one exact scoreline right, not a great week for me as usual 😁. This round wasn't the usual walk in the park for Liverpool and Manchester city. It was fun seeing them struggle to get a win, it makes the race more interesting and captivating to watch.
6407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoiners, don't give up yet. Bitcoin can't do it alone. on: September 28, 2019, 04:59:22 PM
Straight to the cheese - of course, only Bitcoin can't keep the crypto industry going. This is evident in the way the market is, even right now. With Bitcoin dominance up to 67-70% yet the total marketcap is still below $300b. We saw how Bitcoin's dominance was depleted to around 40% in 2017 and how the market skyrocketed with most of the coins hitting ATH. Though Bitcoin is the pathfinder and leader here, it needs the altcoins to proper the market to greater heights.

I was just going through the comments again then realized I haven't replied to this post. You're right, feels like the market capitalization move opposite to bitcoin dominance Irrespective of bitcoin gaining some price value. When the dominance is high, total market capitalization of the industry reduces. That simply means Investors are taking money out of the market which proven my point once again that the industry can't survive without altcoins. Not just because of the utilities they contribute to the industry but also because of the wealth (inflow of money) they bring into the industry.
6408  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: September 28, 2019, 04:28:12 PM
Is there any way yet to know the list of merit sources?

Just have to assume you're asking a genuine question without any bad intentions. There isn't an officially list but  unofficially you can identify them through this thread; [TOP-200] The most generous users giving merits. Merit sources are highlighted in bold letters. There could be few mistake as some merit source are yet to be identify while other smerit generous givers could be mistaken for merit sources nevertheless, the list is 99% accurate.
6409  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Facts} Disadvantage of promoting signature campaigns that encourages spamming. on: September 28, 2019, 01:47:01 PM
and what is even more funny, you are advertising forum that wants to be competition to bitcointalk.

I don't think the adminstrators or members of Bitcointalk has a problem with this, they aren't scared because in the past, similar platform have tried dethroning Bitcointalk but couldn't success. The problem they should be concerned with, is the level of spam they'll be tacking over the couple of few weeks this campaign will be active. I just went through the list of signature participants and I must say, I'm not impressed. Maybe in the coming few weeks more quality members will engage with the campaign without spamming the forum.

What make a signature campaign stand out apart from the obvious which is their payrate, is the level/number of quality participants participating in that campaign. The campaign already have a quality, well reputed manager, what's left now is quality of posts from participates.
6410  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should I leave the Yobit signature campaign? on: September 28, 2019, 07:59:09 AM
If you have some advices, please don't hesitate to say it.

I did a post sometime ago titled; {Facts} Disadvantage of promoting signature campaigns that encourages spamming. I recommend you go through the thread then if you're comfortable participating in the campaign genuinely without causing any nuisance then go ahead. Remember the campaign doesn't mandate you meet maximum post requirement daily therefore if you participating in the campaign won't turn you into a spammer then go ahead. The issue is that most users use this opportunity to spam the forum while getting paid but if you can post that much or even more amount of posts daily and they still turn out to be quality or atleast reasonable posts then i don't see an issue with that. We have members capable of making 20+ posts daily and still maintaining their quality standards. If you're one of them, then wearing any signature is a privilege, do what suits you.

The issue with posting much is it deprived you of point No.6 on the thread although If you can balance both posting and learning simultaneously then you're good. The campaign has a high quality manager which will be bringing in some discipline to the campaign. The issue with most high maximum post paying campaign is that, they're poorly managed which result to participates spamming and still getting paid but @Yahoo's involvement in this campaign changes everything.
6411  Economy / Reputation / Re: Negative feedbacks and limitation period of accounts tradings on: September 28, 2019, 04:54:49 AM
In my opinion, DT members should agree among themselves on this matter to prevent controversial situations.

This isn't happening anything soon, the diversity between the dt members is what makes the system interesting and less centralized. If this was to be the case then the system won't be as decentralized (to some extent as theymos had intended).  I'll go with @ThePharmacist reasoning on this as farming of account (back when it was still ok to do so), was mainly done for one reason, which was to join a signature campaign but currently, farming of accounts are done for various untrustworthy reasons which includes; farming trust, farming merit, scamming and obviously cheating signature campaigns.

When you consider this recent development toward account farming, you'll understand why there's an unwritten rule towards discouraging it. Using your common sense, If a new rule is passed, you don't go punishing old offenders that commited that offense when it was not yet a crime.
6412  Economy / Reputation / Re: Did yahoo's account get hacked? on: September 27, 2019, 09:28:59 PM
@Yahoo is a good and reputed manager so I trust his judgement. We haven't worked together although I wish we do that someday. Cryptotalk isn't Yobit exchange, from my understanding they're just using yobit advertisment management service to promote their forum which happen to be through Bitcointalk forum. Just like any other projects out there using Google AdSense to promote their business that doesn't give the project same reputation as Google, vise versa. Bitcointalk has been a host to numerous scams through project ANN, signature ads etc that doesn't make Bitcointalk a scam platform.

Judge Cryptotalk as Cryptotalk, if Yahoo managing the campaign will reduce the rate at which spam posts are been paid for then, that's a positive news. Only wish he was given more privileges like been in charge of acceptance of members that would had been a more positive news.
6413  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] WOLF.BET Signature Campaign - Sr/Hero/Legendary - Up to 0.008 BTC/week! on: September 27, 2019, 07:47:01 PM
How do you know he's participating to this campaign? He doesn't even wear the avatar and the Personal Text of the campaign while it's mandatory. I think it's just a troll who's wearing a signature to impersonate someone else.

No idea what's the dispute between @Vadi2323 & @Royse777 is all about but I hope you guys resolve your issue soon and yes @Royse777 is part of this campaign. He's on a private deal, you can verify that from this thread: [Signature Sold Out] Avatar Available On average 15 to 20 posts DAILY

6414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 27, 2019, 07:19:57 PM

I just noticed I have 30 mBtc free bet lying in my account which would have been there since game week 4  Grin

I have quite impressive so far, I could get the grand prize very soon

You mean since you have been loging in to pick your scorers for the last 3 game weeks, you haven't seen the free 30mbtc🤔 that's kinda hard to believe nevertheless congrats on your win. I always thought no one have won the free bets until I saw your post. The highest I have achieved and seen others achieve is 4 correct scorers prediction, your post just gave me more motivation to keep aiming for the grand prize.

Opinion on Chelsea vs Brighton game; Lampard will record his first premier league home win as a Chelsea manager, I have this feeling we'll be scoring 5 or more goals. Just feeling too optimistic
6415  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Facts} Disadvantage of promoting signature campaigns that encourages spamming. on: September 27, 2019, 05:26:52 PM
Bump

Yobit is back to start witch hunt Smiley Joke aside, I think as long as it does not create spam, everyone should be able to carry the signature. But I think the dynamics of the forum will still not allow it.

Exactly, I'm not discouraging anyone from joining any campaign of their choice, joining a campaign is a privilege and if you can handle that privilege without abusing it then you're free to go ahead joining any campaign of your chosen. The current yobit associated signature campaign now have a reputed manager in the person of @yahoo62278 which is a positive signs since spam will now be moderated by him.

I just used this thread as an opportunity to highlight some disadvantage you should definitely consider before joining any campaign, If you can handle posting high number of posts without spamming then you can go ahead.
6416  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] Members who have a lot of earned sMerits on: September 27, 2019, 11:27:31 AM
I get it, I get it. So it’s a list of the most selfish bastards on bitcointalk.org
Smiley

You got that right and those we should stop sending smerit to because all they do is hoarding the smerits😁.
/Joking

Took me quite some time to understand the list too but seriously, those repeating names making the list almost every month what's there deal they don't encounter meritable posts or just greedy. 🤔
6417  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Diversified investment or concentrated investment ? on: September 27, 2019, 11:14:22 AM
To my understanding, the diversifying strategy works better with different investment vehicle e.g investing in real estate, precious metals, cryptocurrency, stock etc. Investing in multiple altcoins with the mindset of diversifying is just like hiding your money at different locations in your house with the mindset of keeping them safe. What then happen if your home catches on fire just like when the cryptocurrency market experience bear market. In the house example, you lose all your money while in the bear market example you're be at lost, so then, what was the point of diversifying in that manner in the first place?.

There are other investment vehicles out there so, do as @mjglqw have suggested. When diversifying, invest in a manner your investment in one vehicle won't be affected the moment the other investment choices aren't doing so well. Cryptocurrency as an industry is one investment vehicle.
6418  Economy / Reputation / Re: ★ List of Proven Scammers ( Bitcointalk users Only) ★ on: September 27, 2019, 10:55:50 AM
Gift card sellers, as well as forum account sellers, change accounts very often. They constantly create new profiles, but other contacts with them may remain the same. Maybe it’s worth adding here telegram contacts, for example?

The smart ones could easily change their telegram username as there isn't any limitations to that. Also creating a new email isn't that big of a deal so they could easily change their email too. Having this details on the list won't make much of a difference and would only put more workload on the OP since the scammers can easily bypass them. It'll only be useful when dumb ones try creating alts with same contact details to continue their scammy activities on the forum which if they get linked to accounts above they'll find alternative measures to avoid detection.

Forum users just have to be self cautious as not much can be done by the forum itself to prevent scammers from finding a way to scam others. OP kudos to creating & keeping this list updated, saw this sometime ago on the scam accusation board & was about recommending you move it to a board that it'll be more useful like what you have just done. Kudos.
6419  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT everyone? cryptoji.net agency cheating translators from the forum on: September 27, 2019, 10:31:34 AM
Gave the accused some number of days to defend himself but i guess he isn't interested, already left a negative feedback before now but just supported the flag and made it active. The accuse isn't showing any concerns towards resolving the issue, he has been active but has intentionally refused to respond to the thread irrespective of the PMs sent by others as indicated above and negative feedbacks already visible on the account.

To OP and other affected users, I'm sorry for your lost of time invested into translating for this user (project). You just have to move on now. You have done the best you could do, that's bringing this to the attention of the forum.
6420  Other / Meta / Re: Appealing admins to ban this guy Vadi2323! on: September 27, 2019, 09:14:15 AM
Have you tried reporting the PMs and no action was taken to caution the user? If not then try using the report to moderator button and in the comment section, you can input your discomfort with the PMs. Probably since there's an option to stop receiving PMs from certain users you can used that option. Occasionally, i have seen users recieving temporarily ban for PMs don't know if same fate applies here but you can give it a try. Report his multiple PMs and watch out for the outcome.
