Pretty cool, and almost 2 million locked away in masternodes!
If that's true then 40% of available supply is in masternodes. Would be cool if anyone has access to historical data to plot this over time. Last I checked about a month ago masternodes were at around 33% of supply. Anonymous and untraceable transactions are already being implemented by Bitcoin (like Coin Scrambler). So, are there any reason to still invest in Darkcoin? Why shouldn't I sell all my Darkcoins for Bitcoins now?

when sending those 1000 DRK for masternode setup do you guys always do Darksend mixing / darksending the 1K amount ? No  Or do you just sent it straight up and do the mixing on a later time ? I can imagine you can always setup a mixing wallet later on.. Yes. I've got enough stuff to worry about and learn than trying to anonymise my coins as well LoL. So I tried to make it simple for myself. thanks .. tbh i'm torn between waiting for the next update that should improve the Darksend mixing greatly but could take awhile (although i get the feeling 0.11.0.x is in the end-phase of getting released on Testnet) or just proceed with the setup and do the mixing on a later time. If any of you need to do some mixing now would be a good time .. eh.. for me  edit : well .. Evan's post sure came handy for me Will proceed with testing 0.11.0.x edit : nice to see windows 64bit support for 0.11.0.x (for Testnet).. what does the darkcoin-cli.exe do exactly btw ? update : got my answer on Darkcointalk forum darkcoin-cli is the one used to talk to darkcoin rpc server. using darkcoind to talk with the server is deprecated. |

QUESTION FOR THE NEW YEAR
When setting up a masternode, does the address you send the 1000 DRK to *have* to be "gettaccountaddress 0" ?
I did all my setup with the default receiving address generated by a brand new wallet - backed up the private key and all that, but now I realise when I do 'gettaccountaddress 0' it's not the same address. Do I have to send the 1000 DRK now to the 'gettaccountaddress 0' address or will it work fine with the default wallet address ?
This is a quote taken from Taos Masternode Setup Guide for Dummies. The getaccountaddress 0 is where you send the 1k dark. Enter the following command: "getaccountaddress 0" and press ENTER. This will generate your new Masternode's receiving address! i dont think its necessary anymore, i still do it myself but since a few wallet updates ago its not mandatory anymore i think i read somewhere. pls let someone confirm this.. |

The same thing happened to me as Piggo around the same time frame. I believe it was the 30th of Nov. I received a payment after having tested a mn setup procedure at home using two separate boxes. Wanted to make sure I could set up the local/remote scenario properly before I tried to start tinkering with other set up possibilities. I had the node online for about 15-20 min. tops before shutting it down after verifying it was on the list. I was surprised to see I had gotten paid obviously, but I wasn't complaining. 😄
I also have a MN that hasn't been paid in 6 days.. And my other has been paid twice in that period.. Will keep waiting. I believe that you are just facing some variance. Exactly. Variance was reduced several versions ago, but it is still there and she's mean. i heard those who type her name will become cursed and gets a visit from her, best not to type her name..... |

Next Litecoin dump incoming.  such a slow and painfull death of a coin... (we are talking about LTC).  0.0083 seems to be another rally point for LTC, a lot of buy volume there on BTC-E. Edit : considering the low price of BTC, Darkcoin on the other hand is doing remarkably well. |

to Evan : Are the rumors about a second foundation true ? I dont really mind if it leads to galactic domination and all but it does kinda explain why i feel a need lately to buy more and more darkcoins. Its like my emotions are being controlled somehow, by something .. or someone  edit : i almost forgot, guys if you feel a sudden urge to sell all your darkcoin then take a carefull look around you. chances are high that The Mule is nearby and let me tell you .. that dude is dangerous !! Ape dumped 160k at $0.2 If you don't mind me asking, why do you need a new account to post here? Is the previous one connected to your real identity? Not my real identity, no. Just want to keep my DRK and BTC accounts separate. That's a fair call, I've got this account and a trolling account when it's time to blow off steam... yr trolling account wouldnt happen to start with a t and ends with a 2 .. would it ?
