6421  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: July 29, 2016, 11:27:02 AM
I think that people say that Bitcoin is dead because they cannot pay the price to be able to invest in Bitcoin.
The price only gets higher and higher so some people might just have missed the boat.

The OP created the thread in 2014 when the bitcoin price was 60% lower than he is today. I am pretty sure no one calls bitcoin dead when 1 BTC cost close to 700$. The market is much more active now then it was 2 years ago.

6423  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin continuous rising? on: July 29, 2016, 08:44:28 AM
Bitcoin has been rising up this past few weeks and continue to rise, what do you think?
will bitcoin continue to rise at the end of the month or it will have a sudden drop?
No one knows what will happen to bitcoin for this year but most of us here want the price to go up more, but I don't know how it will happen we just wait and see what is going to happen soon I'll hold my coin now .

The price will definitely go up further in the near future. Most of the bitcoin investors won't sell their bitcoins at a price of 650-700$. It is just more attractive to hold them.
6424  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: July 29, 2016, 06:50:05 AM
Both of them togather is perfect and we also need to add earning money, and doing all this stuff togather to become rich, good money requires hard work.
yeah i think you need to combine saving and investing your money in order to make some good money over time, there is no other way unfortunately

i usually more save my money because im afraid to lose it when trading or doing something like that, though i agree that it is better to invest

In my opinion trading is much more risky than other forms of investing. If you have limited time or experience with investing I would always look at diversification. Spreading your Money into Indices instead buying single titles decreases your risk while still participating at higher Returns than your savings account.
6425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People hate Bitcoins? on: July 29, 2016, 06:46:38 AM
Not entered my mind that people are they hate the bitcoin . Because knowing much of the bitcoin now and more people liked the bitcoin . And many more can they recognize it because the bitcoin worldwide . I think so many people are now enjoying to collecting bitcoin. Because bitcoin have a great investment.

But compared to the hole Population on this planet the number of People knowing Bitcoins is still small. Just look at some thrid world countries with no Access to the Internet or all These elderly People. Most of them would likely oppose Bitcoins as they don't know or understand what it is. Bitcoins Need to be spread out more to all Generations.

6427  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: July 29, 2016, 06:35:38 AM
To save money it requires great level of discipline. Younger Generation doesn't believe in savings they just believe in spending. For eg if you are planning to buy a television i think you should search for used television and you never know you might get the best deal on internet which will you in saving money.
you are right, people sometimes struggle when it comes to saving all your bitcoins unfortunately and in my opinion you cannot do anything about it

in order to save money you have to put all your bitcoins into a cold storage where you wouldnt be able to access it and spend on some bs

Yeah that makes sense. Similar to a long term savings account at your bank where you can't make withdraws for a year or two you need to store your bitcoins that you can't access them quickly.
Most of the desired consumption is short lived. After one night of sleep you might already forgot about it.

6429  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why I'm an atheist on: July 29, 2016, 06:15:23 AM
It is difficult to live without faith. It does not matter what you believe, the main thing that this faith helps you live. But theists really cunning. Talking about what they do not believe in God. Just for atheists, God is the science and art of some, god is money. So atheism is a religion too. Wink

God is science, art, money? Sounds like a very religious person to me. I agree with you that faith makes living easier because you have to think less about your own actions and just follow some 2 thousand year old rules. It also helps you to accept your own death. A  lot of elder people become religious again.
6430  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: July 29, 2016, 06:01:53 AM
yes it may not be possible in present time. because about 99% people still using fiat currency. and those who are using bitcoin they also using it as a second option. so in present time it may not be possible. but i think in future if all the countries equally legalize bitcoin and people start bitcoin to use in their local market then it is possible that people will mostly replace their fiat to bitcoin.
I fully agree with your words. And the global economy, is ready to accept the single currency for the calculation. But the fact that the political situation in the world. It is unlikely that allow this plan come to fruition in the near future. Everyone wants to be addicted. The common currency will not allow it.

I agree. Consumer would love to have one currency all over the world. But the world is still strongly divided. Just look at the recent Brexit or rise in religious terror attacks. The world is moving away from each other again. It will take a lot generations to come to really reach unitity and one currency for all.

6434  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: July 28, 2016, 10:03:26 AM
For 10 years again, I sure that Bitcoin is better than Paypal, for right now I still using Paypal to receive some payment from internet program.

I would advise against using paypal to receive payments. There is always the chance that the buyer will recall the money. When using bitcoins you don't have these issues.
Also not accepting paypal will force more people to go into bitcoins.
6435  Economy / Securities / Re: Monthly result for the whole portfolio: +8.7% on: July 28, 2016, 09:59:03 AM
I'm looking for additional five investors to join the portfolio I manage on liberoptions.com
5-10 BTC is the investment range that I can accept. More than that is  unmanageable yet.

I promised 10% in the last month but we had only 8.7%. Which is not bad anyway.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1512743

Write me in private

Can we get some more information about the portfolio. I don't see more info in your thread.

What are the fees?
How much money you currently manage. How many investors?
What happens if you promise 10% but reach only 8.7%, how do you cover the difference?
What is the investment plan?

6436  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Bitcoin wallets are best to use? on: July 28, 2016, 09:51:57 AM
for me blockchain.info is the best i think

Wow! That is a lot of votes for blockchain. It is undoubtedly the most used wallet in the bitcoin world.  Smiley

Unfortunately I would say. Because if you have your coins stored on blockchain you are relying on third party (in this case blockchain s.a luxembourg) to hold your coins and in order to use them you need to access the blockchain.info website. I can understand that newbies will go directly to these kind of wallets but my advice is to  use Electrum, it can hold up to 2000 bitcoin addresses and its very easy as you can just install it on your desktop (must be a clean OS, preferably Linux OS) and you can do whatever you like with your coins since you are not relying on third party to hold the coins for you but you are holding the coins yourself.
It just needs to take the first step to migrate to a desktop wallet and trust me you will never look back and totally forget about blockchain and alike wallets.

Of course a desktop wallet is much better than any online wallet in terms of security. But if you think about accessibility an online wallet is just much easier to use. Especially if you are new to bitcoins. As a beginner I assume you don't have more 100 USD to play around. If of course you start into bitcoins directly with <1+ BTC go directly for a desktop wallet.
6437  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which one Should i buy Gtx 970 or Gtx 1060? on: July 28, 2016, 09:30:19 AM
Please suggest me a better card .

Not for mining Its for gaming .

I saw that 1060 is low in performance as compare to 970
But 1060 is the latest version and may give better benchmarks in newer games?

If it is for gaming I would recommend 1060. Even though the performance might seem the same as 970. Wait a few driver updates and compare then again. I would always go with the newest series.

there are few cafes shops in the uk thats accepts coin and i somehow spend some  have you your experience ? and how did you feel? when i was  sending coin  peoplein the cafe was looking at me and asked me about it truly i feelt like im .... hurraaaaaaaa

I guess buying and selling CS GO skins with bitcoins does not count as real life spending of bitcoins. I also bought some games via bitcons.
My supermarket is not yet accepting any bitcoins.
6440  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: July 28, 2016, 08:49:45 AM
The so-called free lunch they actually have a price and the bills are coming. The question is whether Bitcoin can save us from this chaos or not.
i think bitcoins can save the humanity from financial crisis that is most probably going to happen, i hope bitcoin will replace dollar in the near future

That is a wishful thinking. I think it will take several decades for the bitcoin to replace the US dollar and it is more widely adopted.

Bitcoin will never replace the US dollar because it can't be fully controlled by a governemnt. A government won't give up it control of the money supply.
