Hi,

I have been trying to anonymize a few coins with no success.

I have set the amount to 3 and pressed start but the button just flicks and returns to start with status disabled, I have tried this many time but the result is the same.

My Darksend balance remains 0

Any ideas ?

Regards
TrippyPippy

try setting the amount a bit higher or bundle all your input amounts through coin control, sent it to yrself, wait for confirmation and then do a mixing.
personally i would set the amount to at least 5 DRK ... to be on the safe side.

Version 10.17.23

Some issues have been reported and I'm reverting to 10.17.21 until I have some time to thoroughly test the changes.
If you you're running a masternode, it's best to stick to 10.17.21 until this is resolved. Thanks!

Get me right please, I really appreciate your hard and ongoing work,
...but...
*each* time I look into the DRK thread there's a new version available.
An auto-update feature like armory offers (signed update files) would be really nice.
At least an info when starting the wallet "Alert: new version available, update once more" should be implemented.

Thanks for reading.

its times like these that i'm glad Flare with his trustless Masternode hosting service (https://darkcointalk.org/threads/service-masternode-hosting-service.2648/) is doing all of the server updating for me, all i have to do is update my local (cold) wallet and sporadically put out a ''masternode start'' command in case of a protocol change...

edit : btw, if anyone gets the message ''outbound (or was it inbound?) port 9999 not open'' when giving the command ''masternode start passphrase'' from local wallet try unlocking yr wallet first, helped for me.

Does -wallet option works in this version?

Yes, it will be an included feature on all releases going forward.

i tried it today and it works well, you can rename the wallet.dat to any name (without even the .dat)
and it would still regnonice it as the wallet.dat when you started it with the -wallet command line

Very handy when spyware is looking for a wallet.dat ....

specific commandline is -wallet=yr-renamed-wallet.dat-filename

not having any wallet.dat files on my pc this sounds good,,,, can this be used on a wallet used just to store coins or is it just a master node thing ??

if it can be used on any wallet can someone point me to where i read how to use this function

cheers

it can be used for both yr mixing / storing coins wallet and your masternode wallets (i tried it with my MN cold wallet as well)

Basicly its a commandline that you can use (-wallet=yrrenamedwallet.datfilename) with 1 condition : the renamed wallet.dat needs to be in the same folder as where the orginal wallet.dat was located. I have difficulty finding exactly where Evan mentions it now.. i think it was overwritten with his v0.10.17.21 announcement on darkcointalk but i saw it mentioned on github earlier so i was aware of it already.

if yr using windows : put -wallet=yrrenamedwallet.datfilename behind the darkcoin-qt.exe in the target of your shortcut

and what paramert use to load dpecific darkcoin.conf for this specific wallet???
Can I starage blockxhain on usb stick too? Therr is datadir or smth like that...

Examples for Windows users :

in target of shortcut :
C:\Darkcoin\darkcoin-qt.exe -wallet=XXXX
Blockchain will be default location (AppData / Roaming / Darkcoin)
wallet.dat needs to be renamed as XXXX to work

in target of shortcut :
C:\DarkcoinMN\darkcoin-qt.exe -datadir=C:\DarkcoinMNData -wallet=XXXX
Blockchain will be in specific location using commandline -datadir
wallet.dat needs to be renamed as XXXX to work

in target of shortcut :
D:\DarkcoinMN\darkcoin-qt.exe -datadir=D:\DarkcoinMNData -wallet=XXXX
Blockchain will be in specific location on different drive (D drive in this case) using commandline -datadir
wallet.dat needs to be renamed as XXXX to work

XXXX : yr own renamed filename, can even be extensionless (without .dat)

Darkcoin.conf not necessary to change with this setup

to OP

- pls stop hiding behind fake accounts like Iranianfromhell666 on reddit and now this account on BTC, its just getting a bit sad really.
- thanks for giving Darkcoin some well-deserved attention, 1473 views for a post on BCT is impressive .. since most people in this Altcoin
Discussion Forum are used to trolls creating new accounts and attacking coins i trust most of these readers to prick right through this
post and form their own opinion about Darkcoin and maybe even get a bit more intrigued by it.

Maybe those people will start asking themself questions like : what is Darkcoin about? what does Darksend mean and what does it do exactly ?
what are Masternodes ? how many Masternodes are there and why do they keep growing so fast ? why is Darkcoin getting in the news more and more
lately ? why is it being attacked so much by trolls lately ? What is that Darkcoin InstantX i keep hearing about ?

Find answers to those questions and you my dear readers may have found more wisdom. To help you get started i will provide you with a link to the developer
of Darkcoin explaining some of those questions himself : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1J5iYBpwNY

What Ver. update are we on now for Main-net??

10.19.17?? or did I hear about 18?

10.17.19

and you can check progress here : https://drk.mn/masternodes.html
this site has already been updated for v0.10.17.19
right now 669 Masternodes have been updated to v0.10.17.19 (which is about 50% of total masternodes)

Is amazon the place most people are running their masternodes from?

http://www.darkcoin.cm/index/charts/

note : i'm not sure how reliable those charts are to be honest .. at least the top ten countries chart seems to conflict with https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/masternodes.dws
(could be updating more slowly?)

1283 masternodes.... i think someone has been turning those almost 7K DRK to good use and many others with him / or her Smiley

Current Masternodes % per country : https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/masternodes.dws

I wonder what it will look like a year ahead ...

I'd be for that but not sure how that would work with exchanges and pools.
QT client default ON, darkcoind default OFF.

Then you wouldn't be able to say it's automatic or mandatory if there would still be an option for those to get around having to do it from the start.

I think just having DS on by default in the QT client would greatly speed the mixing process. How many regular users are going to mess about with it or run the daemon instead? Why would they? DRK is a private coin, if you don't care about privacy there's BTC.

i like to have choices and the way Darksend is setup right now it gives me choices. What yr proposing (or whats being proposed) is basicly converting Darksend into an Apple
rolemodel with very few choices... i dont like it.
6495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2014 Proof of Honor (POH) Awards | Voting Begins Tomorrow 12/1 @12pm PST on: December 01, 2014, 09:07:06 PM
Thanks for your patience everyone. Voting will begin very soon, the details on how to vote will be posted in a new ANN thread.

It should be noted, voting will not occur on Bitcointalk.org, but over Facebook and Twitter. More details and information will be posted.

Stay Up to date: https://twitter.com/CoinsSource

That's bullshit. A lot of people don't use any social media like FB or Twitter. I'm certainly not associating my BCT username with anything social media related just to vote. All I can say is wow, just wow...

Hopefully others on here will voice in agreement.

+1
Majority of Darkcoin people WILL NOT vote on social networks

+11111 cant believe yr trying to force us to use Twitter or Facebook to vote...
